Chapters Ch. 1: Welcome to Ponyville
One bright day at the Ponyvile train station the train had just arrived and aborted it is a Pegasus pony named Light Striker and on his back stood a brave looking Phoenix named Scorchwing.
"Well, I guess were hear Scorhwing. Ponyville, the place for all kinds of ponies could live."
The Phoenix rolled his eyes as if he didn't care.
"Hay don't be like that, this is going to be our new home, as soon as I find the... huh...what's this," said Striker as he had stepped down the two stairs of the train station and had stopped to observe a strange flower. It was one he had never seen before, and he seen pretty much every other flower in the world. This flowers weren’t colorful like any other flower. Instead, the pedals of this flower was black with a brown stem. At first, Striker thought it was die, but it couldn't be. The flower standing strong and there was no shriveling. "What do you think? Does it look like it could help us out with a cure?" asked the light gray Pegasus to his hot feathered friend.
Once again, Scorchwing ignored him and rolled his eyes. However, Striker took that as a yes and carefully dug up the plant and put it in a jar.
"Anyway, like I was saying before, we need to find Town Hall," said the Pegasus as he trotted through the town, "This place must be having a Farmers Market. This place is full with... OOF!' Striker had walked right in to a certain pink Earth pony with balloons for a cutie mark.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I really need to watch where I'm walking," said Striker as he got and help the pink pony, "Hey, do you know where town hall is?"
"HHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUU," inhaled the pink pony as she dashed off in a hurry, nearly knocking Striker off his hooves.
"Um... what was that about?" asked Striker, not noticing the orange Earth pony walking up behind him.
"I'm guessing your new in town partner," said the orange pony, startling Striker.
"Um yeah I am, mind helping me out?"
"With what just happened with Pink Pie or with helping with where Town Hall?" asked the orange Earth pony in a joking manner.
"Pinkie Pie? Wait she represents one of the Elements of Harmony. And correct me if I'm wrong but are you Applejack?" asked Striker.
"Yup. And if you’re wondering about town hall, its over there," said Applejack as she pointed.
"Thanks, I'll be seeing you," said Striker as he smiled away towards Town Hall.
"Ok Scorchwing you could go and fly around a bit while I'm in hear."
With a Phoenix scream, Scorhwing flew off to see the town from above. Striker walked in and asked the accountant where is so that he could rent his new home. She kindly took him to the major of Ponyvile. That is where became rented the large house next to The Princess of Friendship's castle. Striker made is way out the door. But when he came out a pony he knew had bumped into him on his right side.
"Ahh, what is with me and bumping into pony's today?" asked Striker to himself as the yellow and pink colored mane had said, "Oh I'm so sorry, It's that I'm just in a hurry and..."
"Fluttershy? Is it really you?" asked Striker as he help Fluttershy off the ground.
"Striker? Oh my goodness, it's you," said Fluttershy.
"Oh my gosh! It's been so long since I've seen you. Ever since final year of high school."
"Wow! I can't believe it's you. But what are you doing here?" asked Fluttershy in over static voice.
"Well I'm gone be living here while I'm working on..." said Striker as he got interrupted by Fluttershy.
"Wait, you’re the new pony in Ponyville? Oh my goodness. Pinkie told me that somepony was going to move in and was going to have a party for them when they had arrived at the home near the castle, but would have never would have guessed it was you," Fluttershy explained herself.
"Pinkie? I just had met her a half an hour ago, how did she knew where I were I was going to live?" asked Striker in a surprised manner.
"Don't worry, you'll get used to it. I can't wait till Rainbow Dash sees that your moving into Ponyville," Fluttershy said with a smile as she closed her eyes in joy.
"Wait Rainbow LIVES HERE! OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!" Striker jumped as if he was hyper little foul on ten pounds of sugar.
"Oh I almost forgot, that little crush that you had on her (chuckle)" she smiled as she had his eyes half opened when she said it.
Striker then stopped mid-jump and slowly had gone down to surface. He then put his tale between his hind legs, started to rub his right front leg with his left hoof, and his light gray fur glowed red on his cheeks.
"Well...ahh....you.... see...uumm. Please don't tell her. Unless you already told her over the years," said Striker in embarrassment.
"My lips has been sealed ever seen high school and I promise that I'm not going to tell her now" said Fluttershy with another cute chuckle.
"Thanks Flutters, I want to tell her one day, but I'm just afraid of her answer."
Strikers smile had faded as thought of the results.
"Don't worry Striker, I'm sure that it would be fine when it does happen," said Fluttershy as she rubbed Striker's back.
Striker lifted his head up and said, "Thanks Flutters but I'm pretty sure the she won't settle for an 'egghead' like me."
All of a sudden they heard a bird call. It was Scorhwing who flew in and rested on Striker's head.
"Hey buddy, how was the flight around town?" asked Striker.
The stubborn Phoenix just stood on Striker's head and didn't pay much attention to what Striker was saying.
"(sigh) Would it kill you to show just a little bit attention to me? Flutters, I would like you to meet Scorhwing," said Striker.
"Wow! How did you come across of becoming friends with a Phoenix? I only other pony that I know that would have a Phoenix is Celestia," questioned Fluttershy.
"I found him while I was traveling with the dragons during their migration. I was trying to ask the dragons about themselves since so many ponies have no idea how they. I found Scorching’s egg in an empty nest with no other eggs or no parent there. I figured it was abandon so I decided to take care of it. And that's how me and Scorhwing and I meet," explained Striker.
"Oh my gosh," Fluttershy said.
"What's the matter?" asked Striker.
"It's just that, you going to travel with the dragons during the migration. It takes a lot of gut to even to get close to one dragon and you traveled with an entire pack of hundreds. It seems so fantastic that you had done it without being hurt," explained Fluttershy.
"While I made sure that I stayed with a dragon name Mariah. She was help to help with what was trying to accomplish. She had also was the one who had told me everything about all the different types of dragon and the way they all leave. As it turns out, dragons are mostly harmless. All they wanted to do was to be left alone and that no one touches their gems."
"That is fascinating. I know somepony and dragon would want to know all about," said Fluttershy in a cheerful manner.
"A dragon lives here? Cool, I would really like to meet them," said Striker in an even more cheerful manner.
"Well you could, at your party. If I know Pinkie, she probably invited everyone in town," said Flutters.
"Wow, I guess we should get over there," said Striker as he started to run to the direction of his new home, nearly having Scorhwing fly right off his head.
"Oh, wait for me," said Fluttershy as a thought ran through her mind.
While she cased after Striker, she noticed that the Striker she met today, was not anything compared to her classmate friend. She remembered that Striker was more like herself in their school year. He was a shy pony like her and didn't really find himself to want to anything dangerous. However, what he had talked about, traveling during the migration with that many dragons were something she wouldn’t have expected from Striker. She had stopped thinking about it as they got closer to the new home of her old friend, but still couldn't help but wonder what could have changed Striker over the years.
"Where here," said Striker which snapped Fluttershy's out of her house.
They enter into the home where it seemed all the lights were shut off. Striker had turned the nearby light and was surprised to the sounds of ponies saying surprise. Even if he was told about this it still gave him a little shock.
"Aaahh!" yelled Striker surprised.
"Wow, Striker you’re the pony moving in? That is so AWESOME!" shouted a certain cyan colored Pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail with a rainbow lightning bolt and cloud for a cutie mark.
"Dash! It's...so good to see you again!" said Striker trying his very hardest to keep his blush from showing.
Fluttershy saw this and couldn't help but smile.
"While, there's one thing that hasn't changed about Striker," Fluttershy thought.
"Listen up everypony!" shouted Dash, “This isn't just a party for a new Ponyvillean, but a good old egghead friend, Light Striker."
The large group of ponies started clap and cheer to know that the pony was friends with the amazing Dash.
"WOW! I knew that the new pony moving in was going to be someone special, but I wasn't expecting that he was going to be one of your old friends Dashie," said the pinkie pony from before.
"Yeah, me and Striker meet a flight school and we had been friends ever since. However, we kind of lost touch after the final year of high school," said to Pinkie Pie.
"So what I heard from a pony named Applejack, your Pinkie Pie and I want to thank you for this cool party," said Striker.
"Oh it was nothing, I'm always in the mood to throw a party for a pony I don't know, only find out that they were actually old friends of one of my friends," said Pinkie as she pulled over the Princess of Friendship over to her, "It reminds me of when me and Twilight meet."
"Pinkie!" shouted Twilight, “You should ask before pulling me over to you, and I'm not going to even asked how did you got me from all the way from across the room.
"Oops, sorry Twi, I just thought that you would want to Striker as soon as possible."
"Of course I would of, just the fact that you can bring me here so quickly from all the way from across the room seems to always surprises me," explained Twilight.
"Oops, (chuckle) sorry Twilight," said Pinkie.
"Huh... It's ok, at least you made it easier to meet Striker, what an epic sounding name," said Twilight.
"Thanks Princess, that's so kind of you," said Striker.
"Your welcome, but, you don't have to call me princess, just call me Twilight," said Twilight.
"Darling you do have a pretty good sense of fashion, it surprising that he's friends with you, Rainbow," said a somepony behind them.
"Oh yeah guess I Striker does have a sense of fashion wearing that jacket," Rainbow Dash.
Striker turn around to see a white pony, with a purple, elegant looking with three diamond as a cutie mark. Right behind her was a small, light purple dragon with green fins running from the top of his head to his tail arranging from biggest to smallest.
"He sure does. That jacket seems it was made of cotton all the way from Los Pegasus!" said Rarity with a cheerful tone in her voice.
"That's right... how did you know?" asked Striker .
"Well I'm the pony that runs Carousel Boutique, I must know what is in fashion and what you are wearing darling is made of some of the greatest material from Los Pegasus. Your most likely find anyone from here to be wear it around here," explained Rarity.
"Huh, I wondered why it was so expensive we I got it," said Striker.
"You've been to Los Pegasus, Striker?" asked Fluttershy.
"Well I've had been pretty much every in Equestria, but..." said Striker as is smile turned into a frown.
"But what, Sugar cube?" said Applejack who had just came from the punch table.
"Oh hey Applejack, uumm, it’s that my visits there wasn't to have fun, I was there on business, and it wasn't a pleasant thing to do or rather see, “said Striker.
"What is it? What's wrong?" asked Rainbow her upset friend.
"I don't think right now is the best time to tell you guys yet, let's wait until after the party."
So they waited until the party was over and cleaned up. Then all of them (Striker, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Applejack, Twilight, Spike, Rarity, and Pinkie) gathered around the table while Striker was pulling something out of his saddle bag.
"So what's the problem?" asked Twilight.
"Well, take a look," said Striker as he put some pictures from his saddle bag and put them on the table.
Pictures showed a bunch of ponies with corrupted cutie marks. Their cutie marks were being blackened. The gang started to pick up a few pics in their hooves.
"Oh my gosh what is happening to these pony’s cutie marks," said Fluttershy.
Striker signed and responded," That's the thing, I don't know and it gets worse."
"In what terms do you mean by is worst," asked Applejack.
"Those who have their cutie mark completely blacked out, they...." said Striker with a small tear running on one side of his face, "they soon past away."
"What?!?" shouted the gang.
"And you have been staying close to them?" asked Rarity as she grabbed some cleaning spray and sprayed the air around her.
"Don't worry, it's not contagious, actually, it has been only targeting the ponies that had some anger problem," said Striker.
"So what exactly is it? A disease? Some poison?" asked Twilight.
"Like I said, I don't know what it is; all I know is that the other princesses want me to find a cure for it or find some way to get rid of it," said Striker as he looked out his window.
"The other princesses? That's who sent you here?" asked Pinkie.
"Yes, they had told me that a good place to start was here in Ponyville. They said that many crazy things happen here, and believe me, it is crazy hard to find a cure for this sickness. Having cancer would be better than this. It literally drains there soul out of there body. The princesses told me that lots of things happen here, so maybe the cure is hidden here, and I believe their right," explained Striker.
"What makes you say that?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"This," said Striker as he took out the flower he found at the train station before.
"Whoa, What kind of flower is that, it's none I ever seen," said Twilight.
"I haven't seen it before Twilight, I don't even think it's foreign. That why I think it might be the cure to whatever is blackening those pony’s cutie marks, taking their life energy, and eventually ending them. And maybe having new friend would help me to know not to give up hope," said Striker as he looked at the black flower and then to his new and old friends.
Ch. 2: Ike the Speacyian?
It’s been a couple of weeks since Striker moved into Ponyville and a lot has happened. Striker has already made friends with everyone in the down, including Applejack and Rarity's sisters, Apple bloom and Sweetie Belle, and an orange filly that look up to Rainbow Dash named Scootaloo. So far, everything was going fine for Striker and his new town. What he was doing today, and what he has been doing for a couple of days, was running test on the flower he had found under the staircase at the train station. He had placed the flower in a machine of his lab in the basement of the house.
"Alright, let's see what kind of healing factors you have," said Striker as he set the flower that was sitting in a pot into the machine.
The machine able to see healing and scan the state the flower or whatever was in it. Striker then quickly hit the switch that had caused electric witch zapped the flower.
"Ok let's see here," said Striker was looking at his computer, "wait.... what the?"
From the readings from his computer, the flower was showing that the flower was supporting a life force that was the same as a pony's life.
The machine started to overflow with electric and began to overheat.
"ERROR! ERROR! ERROR!" went Striker computer as red lights began to flash all over the place.
"UH OH!" yelled Striker as he ducked for cover under the table.
The machine then exploded and black smoke started to fill up the room. What Striker failed to noticed was that something had rushed out of the smoke and into the town.
"(Cough), (Cough), Oh boy that was a bigger explosion than normal, what could have happened?" asked Striker.
All of a sudden he could he scream coming from outside followed by other explosions.
"What the hey is going on?" he asked.
He rushed outside to what was going on. Then he saw what was causing the explosions. In the sky he could see a peach colored Pegasus with a tail, spikey, black mane cut. He was exploding tops of building with energy beams coming from one of his fore hooves. He was wearing a red trench coat and a strange gauntlet with seemed to have the same technical equipment as Striker.
"Ha ha, it's been awhile since a killed a Norms," said the mysterious pony.
"You there, STOP IT!" shouted Twilight as she a shot a magical blast from her horn at the pony attacking the town.
As the beam of magic made contact with the pony, it just disappeared and had no effect on him. The pony then slowly turned around to glare down at Twilight. He looked at her with anger which had turned into a grin as he took a small sphere of energy a threw it at her. Striker could felt the amount of energy from that blast and knew that it was enough to kill Twilight. Twilight's eyes filled with fear and froze in placed as the blast came closer and closer to her. And then to her surprised, Striker flew in front of her and smacked the ball of energy away to the mountain nearby. The gang, who was nearby getting every other pony to safety, saw this and was also shocked, but none more so than Rainbow and Fluttershy. The pony attack was also shocked.
"Well I knew that I sensed an energy that surpassed everyone else's. Tell me, what is your name?" asked the pony.
Striker stood there just staring at the pony who descended from the air to the ground. The pony stood on two hooves instead of four. This had begun to made Striker to sweat, know knowing what he is, but still wondering where he came from. Soon after getting everyone to safety, the rest of the gang joined up.
"The silent type huh, fine I'll go first. I'm Ike, once prince of all Speacyians," said Ike with a smirk.
"What the hey is a Speacyian?" asked Applejack.
"Oh you don't know, your friend right there is one of them," said Ike right before Striker lashed out.
"You shut your mouth! I am not like you monsters and I don't ever want be called one!" yelled Striker in a furious tone in voice which startled the rest of his friends.
"Y... you know what he is Striker?" asked Fluttershy as she felt afraid of asking.
"Oh come now Striker, just tell the truth. Or perhaps I'll show them myself," said Ike as he raised his front left hoof which revealed a marking on it which was the same as the one on Striker's right front hoof.
The symbol was a DNA stripe that flashed with a bunch of colors that looked a lot like a rainbow hot spring.
"Striker, isn't that your birthmark?" asked Rainbow.
Ike began to laugh as Striker began to grunt.
"Oh wow, is that what you've been telling them Striker, HHAA, wow that’s a big lie," laughed Ike, "That is outstanding, that you would lie like that to your friends."
Striker became angrier by the second.
"Now hear this Striker, I challenge you to a fight and if you dare to decline," said as he quickly vanished, grabbed Rainbow, and vanished back to where he was stand before, now with the gauntlet having a small blade of light coming out of it which was next to Rainbow's neck," I'll kill this one."
The gang gasped and Rarity was starting to faint.
"Let her go you big trouble maker," said Applejack .
Striker began to glow with a light blue aura around him and his eyes were filled with rage as he grinding his teeth.
"GET YOUR DIRTY HOOVES OFF MY LOVE!" growled Striker as he lunged forward at Ike.
Striker hooved him in the face hard enough to let go of Rainbow without her getting hurt. Striker sent Ike flying into a large rock witch cracked into a punch of pieces and now Striker was also standing on two hooves. The gang's jaw's drop in total shock, especially Rainbow, but it wasn't what Striker did more so what he said. She looked up at him and saw a different pony then she knew, with rage in his eyes, and knowing how he felt about her. As she got off the ground, she and the rest of the gang heard a loud yell coming from the crushed rocks. Ike had aura around him that shatter the rock off of him has he yelled. At first his face only showed anger. However, he put a smile on as he wiped the blood off his face from the scar which was left from Striker, chuckling as he licked it. After he was done he then spoke.
"So, do you accept my challenge or do I actually need to destroy this entire town?" asked Ike who folded his front hooves.
"Damn it; he isn't going to leave if I don't," Striker thought to himself.
"Twilight, where is the wasteland you and Tirek left after your fight?" asked Striker.
"Wait what are you..." said Twilight before she was caught off.
"Just tell me!"
Twilight, not wanting to get Striker more upset, she pointed her hoof and said, "Behind those mountains."
Striker then focus back to Ike. He had taken his jacket off and when it hit the ground it made a heavy thumb noise as if it was made of metal.
"Alright, I'll fight you," said Striker as his light blue aura came back," follow me" he said as he flew at an incredible speed, almost the same speed as Rainbow Dash, but without using his wings.
Ike took one more look at the gang and said, “Once I'm done I'm coming back to kill you all, so I would try to escape is I were you, even though its futile."
Ike soon cased after Striker with a purple aura and without out his wings as while. It took a couple of seconds until one of the friends to say something.
"What just happened?" asked Spike.
"And what is with this jacket he left, it feels as if it were made of boulder, I can barely hold it," said Rarity who struggled to hold Striker's jacket.
"I don't know but I'm going after them," said Rainbow as she was about to take flight before being pulled back by Twilight's magic.
"Are you CRAZY?!? You don't know what might happen over there. Besides, Striker wouldn't won't you to see..." rambled Twilight before she was stop again.
"Twilight, you should know that I LIVE for danger. Plus, this is one of my closest friends and I'm going to at least support him!" shouted Rainbow.
"I must agree with Rainbow, whatever Striker is doing, we need to be there to support our friend," said Fluttershy with an eager tone that surprised the rest of the group.
"That's the spirit Flutters, come let's go! “said Rainbow in an enthusiastic matter.
"Oh fine, but will go somewhere where it would be safe. Everyone come close, I'll teleport us there," said Twilight.
"This still seems all very weird to me," said Rarity.
"But weird could be fun!" said Pinkie with a smile to cheer up her friends a bit.
"While I guess were about to find out how weird things are going to get," said Applejack.
And with that, Twilight teleported them to the top of a rock pillar in the wasteland left after the fight between Twilight and Tirek. From there, they could see Striker and Ike landing on their own pillar.
"Twilight, we could barely see or hear them," said Rainbow.
Twilight rolled her eyes and used the same magical diagram that she used during the Flutterbat problem; only this time using it as if it was a camera and made it focused on Striker and Ike. With this they were able to see and hear everything going on.
"So this where you choose for your burial, Light?" ask Ike with a grin.
"Your over confident," said Striker also with a slight smile.
"We'll see who's over confident once I'm done with you," said Ike.
"Yes, we will, but first, I have a question."
"Huh?"
"Where did you come from?" asked Striker.
"Well I'm kind of glad you asked. As you see, I was in a kind of hibernation in a certain form. You may say in that form I would be able to photosynthesis."
"What so that means..." said Striker with a worried expression.
"That right; I was that flower that YOU decided to run test on," said Ike.
The gang was in Shock when they heard this.
"Wait, what? How? Huh?" went the gang one-by-one.
"So it's my fault his here," thought Striker.
"If that is all you 'needed' to know, I would like to start to kill you," said Ike as he went into a stance that Striker.
"So it's going to be one of those stories," thought Striker as he knew who also uses that stance (Vegeta:]), “I guess that means the other stance is mine."
Striker then went in to the stance that he was thinking of(Goku). They both stared at each other for another second before a small rock fell. The sound of it had made them both tensed and charger at each other in a speed that even surprised Rainbow. They both threw hooves at each other as they dodge each other’s. They moved so swiftly through the air. This had gone for a bit.
"This...this....my brain hurts," said Rainbow as she slowly rubbed her head in confusion.
"This is unbelievable; Striker is..." said Rarity.
"IS AWESOME! Look at him go! It's like something I've seen in one of those cool action movie, only faster and way cooler when it is so close!" shouted Spike as he tried his very best to imitate Striker.
A few seconds later, Striker and Ike's hoovess fighting came to a halt as a hoof from each of them hit into the other one's face, causing them to separate. Shortly after, Ike hooved Striker far away from himself and started to fire a barrage of energy blast at Striker. After being stunned a bit from the punch from Ike, Striker quickly shot an energy beam that got rid of the barrage. This caused some dust to pick up and left the gang's jaw drop. Above Striker was Ike who then put his two hoof together and smacked Striker. Striker was hit into the ground on his back. Just then Ike came down and stomped on Striker's chest. Striker screamed in pain as he coughed a bit of blood. Ike picked him up by one of his hind hoof and threw him into a nearby pillar.
"Gasp," went the gang, Fluttershy almost about to cry.
Rainbow was starting to get worried, really worried for Striker, but it was more than worried. She had never felt this way about Striker before. Maybe it’s because of what Striker said about her when he saved her.
"My love," thought Rainbow to herself.
Ike was now on the ground, still stand from where he threw Striker, folding his hooves. The rubble from where Striker was thrown began to move as Striker got up. He was covered in dust and had a few scratches on him with blood oozing out.
"You’re not bad Striker, your better than I imagined, but your still no match for me," said Ike in his cocky attitude.
Striker smiled from him actually enjoying this and said, “You underestimate me."
"Huh" said Ike as his smile went away.
"Because I have yet to so you my true power. Here let me show you," said Striker as his aura began to glow red, "KAIOKEN!" yelled Striker with a new red aura and 6 pack became more visible.
"Kaio what!" Ike and the gang began to ask before Ike was cut off when saying 'what' from Striker upper cutting him into the air.
Ike stopped himself from going higher into the air by expanding his wings. Striker was heading for him, Ike was expecting him to hit him from the front, but was wrong because Striker quickly stopped in front of him, then went all around him and hit him from the side. This sent Ike flying right threw three pillars of rocks and finally into a cliff cave. The gang's jaw couldn't possible get any lower than it already was.
"So cool, Striker your amazing!" thought Rainbow as she looks at Striker with wide eyes, "How come he never told us before? He could have trusted us."
Ike had then done the same thing he had done back in town and destroyed the rock formation he was in, yelling out of rage. Then both he and Striker then landed back to the ground.
"I'm very impressed Striker, even though I find that uppercut you've done was so lame," said Ike.
"Don't call Princess Luna's uppercut lame!" yelled Striker as he quickly covered his mouth realizing what he just said, "Oops"
"Luna!" said the gang.
Ike started to crack up in laughter.
"HHHAAA a princess! You learned your fighting techniques from a princess! HHHAAAA"
"Most of them... hey that's not funny!" shouted Striker.
"Oh My God! You have no idea how funny that was," said Ike taking deep breaths from laughing.
"Are you done yet?" asked Striker.
"Oh... yes. Now let's continue this fight," said Ike as he vanished behind Striker and kicked him up into the air.
Quickly Striker turned and they once began to hoof each other while dodging each other’s swing. Striker was surprise that Ike was standing up to him while he was in Kaioken state. He knew that he had to turn it up a bit if he wanted to get rid of this threat.
"KAIOKEN TIMES 3!"
"Times what!" asked Ike when he was once again cut off at the word 'what' again.
This time, Striker was hitting him into a combo, where he sent flying straight and then moved so fast that not even Rainbow could him. He had gone to where Ike was heading and spin kicked him up into the air. This was making Ike very angry; the fact that he was being pushed around by a low class, a princess taught Speacyian. Finally, Striker gave Ike a mean right hook in the stomach and sent Ike flying into 5 rock pillars. The smashed rocks from the pillars fell on Ike. Strike had once again landed on the ground. But to his surprise, Ike has yelled his way out of the rock and was screaming at the top of his lungs. Ike was raging with electric surrounding his purple aura. Ike flew into the air and put his hooves to his left side, both so that the bottom of the hooves was still facing Striker.
"THAT'S IT! I'M GETTING SICK OF THIS! DIE STRIKER AND TAKE YOUR PLANET WITH YOU!"
"Oh no!" yelled Striker as he quickly put one of his hoof on top of the other, "KAME..." and then he bent them to his right side of his body, "...HAME..." and finally shot them back out again, "HAAAAAA!"
A huge light blue blast of energy at Ike.
" GALACTIC GUN, FIRE!" yelled Ike as he lunged his hooves forward and shot a huge purple blast of energy at the upcoming blue blast.
"WHAT THE HAY IS THAT, IT'S SO BRIGHT I CAN'T SEE!?" asked Applejack as she yelled to ask her friends.
The whole gang was covering their eyes as they could feel the entire area begin to shack as the blast collided into each other; both at the same strength.
"I HAVE NO IDEA!" yelled back Pinkie, "BUT IT SURE IS STRONG!"
"WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO NOW STRIKER!? I PUT ALL MY ENERGY INTO THIS ATTACK AND NOW YOUR GOING TO PERISH!" yelled Ike as his veins started pop out of his head.
Striker knew that Ike was right, he wasn't going to last much longer. However, Striker knew he couldn't fail because if he did, Rainbow, Flutters, and everyone else would be gone. He knew what he was about to do was risky to his body, but it was worth it if it meant stopping Ike.
"KAIOKEN....TIMES....4!!!!"
Striker's body began to tense up to the point that his muscles were feeling pain. But this gave his Kamehameha more power than Ike's Galactic Gun. It lifted up closer and closer to Ike.
"NNNOOOOO!" yelled Ike as he was caught in the very powerful blue blast and was shot up into the air high enough that you couldn't see him.
Taking deep breaths, Striker dropped his arms to his sides as if he was carrying something for too long and couldn't take it no more. His body toned down from the Kaioken.
"h... He did it, he beat Ike," said Fluttershy.
However, after saying that, Ike's body hit back to the ground right next to Striker. He struggled to get up on to one of his knees. When he finally did, he felt Striker's shadow come over him. When looked up he saw Striker standing on two hooves with a raised hoof, as if he was going to blast his head off.
"Fine...you win.... just end it already," said Ike as looked back down with his eyes closed accepting his faith. This had set some fear into Striker's friends. Was Striker really going to blast Ike's head off.
"No, “said Striker as he put his hoof down to his side.
"Wh..what?" asked Ike surprised.
Striker turned and started to walk back to Ponyville and said, “Like I said before, I'm not a monster like you, I don't enjoy killing others. Just leave and don't come back."
Ike picked himself up off the ground. Still holding one hoof with the other watched as Striker just left him there to live. This upset him a bit. He felt that leaving him to live, Striker was basically saying that he is stronger than him forever.
"ARRR, MARK MY WORD STRIKER, I'll be back, and next time, I WILL kill you!" yelled Ike as he quickly, but painfully made his way into the Everfree Forest.
Soon as Ike entered and vanished from sight, Striker's body began to collapse. When Rainbow saw this, she dashed to stop it from happening. Soon after Twilight teleported the rest to help aid Striker.
"Guys...What are you doing he..." said Striker before he was stopped by pain, "Never...mind that right now...ahh...just help me get to my home...Scorchwing will know what do to after that..."
Striker then passed out in Rainbows hooves. The gang then careful took him back to his home.
It took a while, but the gang got Striker back to his home. Before they had knocked on the door, they something moving around inside. The gang looked through the window to see what looked like Striker on inside and rubbing his noise and making smoothie faces at a picture of Rainbow. Just a couple seconds later the so called Striker jumped up in the air just under the sealing laughing and started to glow. Pretty so the identity of the impostor to reveal it was Scorhwing, who was making fun of Striker's love for Rainbow.
"AH! Let's just get in already!" growled Rainbow will there was blush upon her face.
They turn back to the door and Rainbow knocked on it very hard and done it until Scorhwing opened it. Scorhwing, annoyed that he had to stop making fun of his best friend a bit more. He opened the door to see Rainbow with an angry expression, but that didn't matter to her that much at the moment. She shows Striker to Scorhwing. This surprised Scorhwing made go on a rant which no one could understand. All but Fluttershy.
"Oh my..."she said.
"Well, what did he say?" asked Rarity.
"Well, besides from the bad language, he asked us to follow him," said Fluttershy.
A very upset Scorhwing lead them to a bookshelf, where he pulled one of the book which revealed a secret that lead to something shocking.
"I'm starting to think that Strike has been hiding lots of stuff from us then what we saw him do today. Why didn't he tell us about what has been going on? We are his two best friend for crying out loud!" said Rainbow to Fluttershy.
"I'm sure that he had a good reason to sugar cube, “said Applejack as they continue down the long staircase.
"Still, he could have trusted us. I'm sure if Luna knows about this, then it would of been safe to tell use," said Twilight.
"Yeah, what was with that. Luna is Striker's teacher what's with that..."said Pinkie before she saw when they had made it to the bottom.
The gang looked all around in the huge room that they just had entered. What they saw was shocking to say the very less. They saw the walls that had many, and I mean many weapons being lined up on them.
"What the hey is this? Striker, what have you been hiding this for?!?" said Rainbow as she had feeling of fear and awesomeness.
They then had made their way to the end of the huge room which lead to a smaller room. In this room was a few things. A pod looking machine in the middle of the room and a giant screen with a smaller screen that had two limbs that were only recognizable to Twilight. On the desk were the monitors stood was a couple of pictures. Some of these pictures showed Striker along with some other ponies that none of them knew, especially to Rainbow or Fluttershy. One of the picture showed a setting that was familiar to Rarity.
"Isn't this that video game that Sweetie Belle and that colt Button plays," she said.
The other picture showed what seemed like Striker and one of the other ponies, but were different creators that were only, once again, recognizable to Twilight, but they seemed different even to her. And they were seen more unfamiliar beings.
"Who are these guys?" asked Rainbow as she picked up one the pictures.
In the process of doing so, she had hit a button that turned on the big screen which caused her to jump a bit and back up with her friends. What appeared on the screen was a face of a mare with her eyes closed and a smile on her face which was going to change shortly.
"Hello Striker, how many I assist you today. Probably something on the cure..." said the face as she upped her eyes to see Striker laying on Rainbow's back, unconscious and covered in battle wounds.
"Oh my gosh! What happened?" said the face a she had move to the right hoof bottom corner of the screen and getting smaller until she couldn't be seen. The gang could see the wire that connected the small screen to the smaller screen glow as if something was crawling through it. Soon after the small screen activated and the face showed up on it. It hovered to Rainbow, taking the wounded Striker off of her back with the limbs which had five smaller jointed medals on each limb. The screen had placed Striker in the pod, put an oxygen tank mask on him, closed the pod, pushed a button and watched, along with the gang as it filled with a green, glowing, translucent liquid.
"Hey, what are you doing?" asked Rainbow feeling concerned for her friend.
"Relax, this will restore his energy back to normal. Now what happened to have caused this?" asked the screen.
"Well, Striker was fighting this pony named Ike, and he was using his.... powers? I guess," said Applejack.
"Oh god, Luna is going to be so mad," said the screen.
"By the way, who are you?" asked Pinkie.
"Oh where are my manners, I'm Mindy, Striker's supercomputer," said the screen.
"Supercomputer? I know about normal computers, but supercomputers?" asked Twilight.
"I'm a computer that is able have its own intelligence," said Mindy.
"So, what is this thing you put Striker in anyway?" asked Pinkie.
"It's a healing pod with Strikers cells which will bring will make him feel good in no time," explained Mindy.
"So his own cells are going to heal him faster? I'm sorry put that just doesn't seem like that is all darling," said Rarity.
"Well your right. It also contains many other healing...." explained Mindy before she was interrupted.
Striker started to bang on the glass of the machine as much to everyone's surprise.
"Oh my gosh, is he ok?" asked Fluttershy.
"He's fine, just over the years he had developed a fear of drowning," said Mindy as she pushed a couple of buttons.
The machines contained water started to drain out from a pipe hole on the floor. A very wet Striker came out with a ticked expression on his face. This was shock to Rainbow and Fluttershy, this was the first time they seen Striker besides his little outburst of anger earlier. As a kid he was always so happy, even if was bullied around a lot.
"Uhhh...." Striker sighed, “I hate being in water for that long."
"You know that was the fastest way to be healed," said Mindy as Striker took the towel that she was handing to him."
"That doesn't mean that I have to like it, " grouched Striker; wiping as much of the water and other liquids that were mixed inside.
He turned to look at his friend, wanting to see they reacted it any way. And out of nowhere, a flaming wing smacked him across face. This gotten everyone's awareness.
"OOOwww, what was that for?!" yelled Striker to Scorchwing.
Scorhwing began to talk in his language, yelling and waving his wing all over the place.
"Do you think I didn't know the coincidences? I did what I did because I wanted to keep the town SAFE!" snarled Striker.
"Umm, sir, your friends are waiting for you," said Mindy hesitantly.
Striker and Scorhwing stop they're arguing. Striker's face began to frown.
"So.....I'm guessing that you want to know what went on out there?" asked Striker.
"As much as some of might want to know, we can all forget we saw anything," said Fluttershy.
"Thanks Flutters, but it’s already too late. There is no point to hold back now. Mindy could up bring me the book."
Mindy nodded her screen and went to grab the book.
"Ike is right, I too am a Speacyian, and for proof," said Striker as he lifted his right front hoof up, “Here is the Speacyian mark. This cursed mark always reminds me that I'm still a full blooded monster."
Striker looked at his marking a started to tear up.
"What do you mean by monster, from what we just saw, you are a hero, a very cool one to me," said Spike.
Striker shot up, back with his upset face and yelled, “NO SPIKE! There is nothing cool about this!"
Strikers eyes were lit like a fire when he had looked at Spike. Everyone could clearly see that he was not in a good mood. Spike coward behind Twilight from fear. Once again, Striker was frowning as he released that he scolded one of his friends.
"Sorry Spike, just having trouble with this situation."
"Um...Striker. Here’s the book," said Mindy as she handed the book to Light, very cautiously.
"Thanks Mindy. Let’s get this over with. It began a very long time ago, about a million years in the past. There was much more and wonderful races that I would have liked to meet, if it wasn't for my kind, the Speacyians. They were murders, always blood thirsty beast. They would look at their enemy dead in their eyes as they ask for mercy, with an honest to god smile would blow them up without hesitation. The only ones they would barely fight would be what they would call you guys."
"And that is?" asked AJ.
"Norms. They thought that they were too weak to be wasting their time. However, if they intersected with each other in the outside of their Kingdoms, they would fight. The Speacyians would normally win but wouldn't kill them. Instead let them craw back to their Kingdom in pain, just as a reminder what would happen if they ever become their enemy. Finally, the Speacyian’s terror finally caught up with them. First, the Unicorns were drained by some mysterious force, but they were able to fight it off. The thing that mostly wiped out the Speacyian race was another mysterious force, stronger than most of Speacyians put together, finished most of them off. The king along with most of his people gave their lives to defend the kingdom. When all hope was lost, a legendary warrior used the last of his outstanding power to vanish the beast at the cost of his life. The population of the Speacyians was very thin," finished Striker as he slammed the book closed. It startled then gang.
"This damn book is just another reminder, THAT I WAS BORN ONE OF THESE MONTERS!" yelled Striker as he chucked the book into the machine he was healing in.
The glass shattered into bits and pieces. Striker breath became heavier and started to tear up.
"And the worst about this is that I won't be able to see any of you again.”
"WHAT?!?" yelled the gang.
"What do you mean we won't be able to see us again?" asked Rainbow.
"Luna made it very clear that if I was to speak or show any of my powers, I would be banishing to Neptune."
"That rule has changed, Light Striker" said a holy voice had spoken.
A bright light had appeared between the gang and Striker. From the light appeared Luna, the princess of the night.
"Luna?" asked everybody.
"I had come to discuss this situation that we have," said Luna as she stared Striker down.
"Luna, great sensei, I understand what I had done and will take my punishment with no hesitation," said Strike as he kneeled down, crying knowing his faith.
"Did you not hear what I said? You will not be punished for something like this. In the matter of fact, I'm here to give you your new task, aside from finding a cure for those ponies. You are to stay in this town and protect it with your life. I know that you are nothing like your ancestor, but you must keep the one know as Ike in mind, because if anything does happen, it would be because of your hoof. Do you understand?" asked Luna.
Striker looked up with one of happiest faces he had ever made.
"Thank you princess, I will not fail in this task!"
Luna turn and was about teleport. she stops to remembering something. "By the way, your friends had sent a message for you, ‘Special’ friends. They say they will return soon and might invite all of you on a little trip if your friends here agree with it. That is all. Farewell."
And with that, Luna vanished back to who home. The visit was so quick that it hardly seems like she was there. Striker looking at his friends, began to laugh with a smile. Soon after he collapsed on the floor still laughing.
"Thanks Luna, I won't fail," said Striker as his eyes slowly closed and fell asleep.
"Is he ok?" asked Fluttershy.
"Oh he's fine, all of these things pulling on his emotions had made him so tired. Between his fight, the story of Speacyians, his secret reveled, and that his friends coming back soon was making his head spin," explained Mindy, "I think it would be best if we let him sleep."
"Yeah, your probably right Mindy-Windy," said Pinkie Pie.
"Shh...we should leave and come check on him tomorrow," whispered Twilight.
"Come on everybody let’s get go'n," said Applejack as the gang turned and went back the way they came.
They were finally out of Strikers home, said good bye to each other. All except AJ, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash because their houses were generally in the same direction.
"It is still strange to me. Striker is a full-blooded fighting warrior that was supposed to be wiped out by some dark force and he is supposed to love figh'n. Did he show any of this fighting desire when you guys went school with each other?" asked AJ.
"Not that I could remember. How about you Rainbow, could you remember anything like that?" asked Flutters.
Rainbow wasn't paying attention. She had her head down thinking about something.
"His revealed secret.... Was Mindy talking about that he was an awesome fighting hero...or what he said earlier," she thought as she visualized Striker saying 'GET YOUR HOOVES OFF MY LOVE!'
"Um... Rainbow?"
"Huh! Ah no I don't remember Light beginning like this."
"Oh well, see y’all girl tomorow," said AJ as she walked to her path back to the farm. They waved good-bye to Applejack.
Soon after, Fluttershy and Rainbow separated and made to their homes. Rainbow closed her door to her home.
"Striker...and me.... coltfriend and marefriend?" she questioned, "No that couldn't happen, I don't know if I actually feel that emotion, other than when I'm reading Daring Do, or wanting to be part of the Wonderbolts, or being super-fast, like Strik....Um never mind! I'm thinking way too much about this. It’s getting to my head."
And with that she closed her eyes and went into a deep slumber.
Deep within the Everfree Forest was trotting a very angrily Speacyian.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! ME, AN ELITE WARRIOR, A PRINCE, WAS DEFEATED BY A LOW CLASS WRENCH, WHO WAS TOUGHT BY A STUPID PRINCESS, THIS IS BULLSHIT!" Ike yelled, "And makes it worst is that let me live, to mock me, to say that I week, while the next time I see that Striker, I'M GONNA...."
Ike's angry trance was interrupted some noise coming from the right of him.
"Oh what now?" asked Ike to himself.
He walked to right for a bit to find out what was going on this late at night. He could see between the trees to see a young boy, that had light blue Colt and with slightly lighter mane. The boy was hold something red with his magic. He looked terrified.
"Sta... stay away, I'm...I'm not afraid to use this," the kid as he held the red thing which began to look more like sword now, as he was shacking in fear.
Ike looked a little bit to where he was facing. He saw was a giant twig wolf and there was about three of them. Ike felt like he should save that kid, even though he would have more enjoyment to watch that kid get torn apart. It would teach him not to run off in a deep forest.
"Hey, ugly!" yelled Ike as he came to view for the wolves and the kid.
They looked and stared at him in surprised.
"If you are looking for a really fight, then you would attack me. Unless you’re just a bunch of bitches," smirked Ike.
This had made the wolves very angry. One of them charged at him while he growled. It leaped up, ready to claw at Ike. When it got close enough, Ike ducked and lifted his right hoof up, snapping the wolves in two, then blasted the two halves into dust. The other two wolves looked as they saw they're friend be disintegrated. They both tried to escape, they didn't want to meet the same faith as they're friend. Unfortunately, Ike just shot a large beam of purple light that did the same thing to the other one. The boy stared as he saw what was scaring him vanish into dust.
"Hey, Kid!" yelled Ike.
The kid was scared to turn and face him. However, he did so anyway. When he turns, he put he’s red handled, blue bladed buster sword that he was wielding in a sheath on his back.
"What the hell are you doing out here at night? Go back home!" Ike said furiously.
The boy looked down at his hooves and began to cry.
"I....I don't have a home anymore," sobbed the boy.
Ikes still looking angry but changed the tone in his voice, “What do you mean by that?"
He just stood there, still crying.
"Are you going to tell me or not?" yelled Ike.
"They...my family....my brother.... they died in my burning home on the other side of the forest. There was a monster, and he.... he killed them......in front of me.... I’m the only one left," explained the boy who began to wipe his eyes.
As he did so, Ike noticed that the boy and a Speacyian mark on his hoof. Only it was darker then a normal one.
"That mark," he said has he grabbed the boy's hoof, “tell me...did both of your parents have this mark?"
"Umm...no only my dad," said the boy.
"I see," said as he began to think, “so some ‘monster’ killed your family?"
The boy nodded.
"Well, how would you like to get some pay back the next time you see it?" asked Ike with a devilish smile. The boy looked up at Ike surprised.
"Wh... what do you mean?"
"That mark on you hoof, it means you a Speacyian, and that you have power deep within you. If you stick with me I'll teach you how to do what I did to those wolves, only there is so much more, like flying," Ike said as he flew up a little bit.
The boy frown slowly turned into a smile.
"You mean you would teach me and look after me?"
"If you didn't have that mark, I could care or less. You’re lucky that you have it. But before we get to training, what’s your name?
"My name is Frostbit."
"Well Frostbit let me make this very clear. My training will be very, very tough. So do your best. Now your first task is to learn how to walk on your hind hooves, and don't mess up or I will punch you."
And with this started the bond between Ike and the orphan, Frostbite.
