Chapter 1
        “So do you think we’re going to be the first ones to Find intelligent Extra Terrestrial life?”
        The Words that came out of Talia’s mouth were not a joke for that she actually had the chance of seeking out extra-Terrestrial life. Talia was the scientist of her Team. As low as the odds seemed to her, Extra Terrestrial life seemed possible to her.
        Right in front of her was the Lazarus an automated ship that was going to be launched into space and was the basis of the Lazarus project.
        The Lazarus project. This project’s goal was to launch Eight teams of Four onto Eight different planets. All most people working with the project really knew was that they existed and they had degrees of life on them. The Thirty two volunteer and handpicked astronauts were going to be the first to venture beyond the solar system.
        Lazarus was a joint project between many different scientists over the world in a hope to find more planets to start colonies on. After mars was colonised, they realised that it wasn’t the best planet to host a large population. The project was to be kept a secret from the rest of society and the trip was one way. The candidates were not coming back.
        “I don’t know. There’s a chance that any one of us could find life on the Eight planets. Or we could just all die when the ship combusts,” answered Eric. Eric was the Engineer of the team. He would be doing most of the hard work establishing a base of operations and making sure everything doesn’t explode.
        “Well that’s if anything there manages to get past our defenses and kill us,” blurted out Philip. Philip was the soldier of the team. He would be doing his best to make sure nothing out there killed the team. “A space marine won’t go down without a fight.”
        “Nice to know we won’t die if anything gets past our sensors. But some alien tech sounds nice to acquire,” Holly remarked. Holly was the Tech-spert of the team. She will be making sure the systems run smoothly and down shut down.
”Basic loading completed. Candidates, please make your way to your respective pods
        “Time to get loaded on Space marine,” Eric said nudging Philip. Philp recoiled back and stared at Eric for a bit before shrugging it off.
        The Four of them made their way to their respective zone. There there were four pods that they would be dormant in. The Pods served as cryogenic pods but also as the entry pods for when they are launched onto the planet.
        “Whooee, I guess we won’t be seeing each other for a long time,” Philip said walking past the first set of pods.
