To Be A Princess

The door slammed open. "I'm here!"

"Rarity!" Twilight ran over to Rarity. "What took you so long?"

Rarity stepped back a bit. "It's a train, darling. It only goes so fast. Besides, you only told me that you needed me here this morning, so---"

Twilight threw her hands up in the air. "I'm sorry! I know we haven't talked for a while and now we have some issues, but Flurry has nothing to wear, no makeup, no extravagant hairstyle...do I need to go on?"

"No, dear. I've got it."

Rarity quickly went to work. Flurry sat in silence, wringing her hands. Twilight was worried.

Rarity finished quickly enough. Twilight took her daughter's hand and led her to the balcony of the Crystal Castle.

The crowd cheered. Flurry waved and smiled as she walked to the edge of the balcony.

Celestia cleared her throat, silencing the crowd. "We are here today, to honor our Crystal Princess." More cheering. "For seventeen years, the Crystal Empire has survived without a ruler. Today, your broken Crystal Queen is here as well."

Twilight gasped. "What?"

Out of the door to the balcony, Cadence came. She had slipped into a light, pink gown and someone had gotten her a wig. Twilight grabbed Flurry's hand and pulled her away. "Why is she here?"

Flurry pulled away. "I wanted her here. She is my mother."

Celestia went on, silencing the 'boos'. "But, Flurry Heart has shown that she is worthy of the crown." Celestia took the beautiful golden crown and placed it on Flurry's head.

Flurry smiled. Twilight took Flurry's hand and lifted it into the air. "Your new Crystal Princess, Flurry Heart!"

The crowd went wild.
