I was invested in this story until I heard an engine purr and growl as it pulled up to the school parking lot. "Sunset.." I whispered to myself,blushing even at the thought of her beautiful cyan eyes,her incredible red and yellow hair,her- "Hey,Twilight," A voice in front of me spoke which caused me to jump slightly and fall backwards onto the small gap between the doors and the steps. Groaning I look up and see..her. "H-Hey,Sunset! How hang you are?" I asked quickly,stumbling over my words and mentally slapping myself for doing so. Thankfully my little mishap cause a giggle to pass from Sunsets lips..her kissable lips which- "Hey earth to Twilight come in Twlight," Sunset said,kneeling down in front of me and waving her hand to get my attention which worked as I snapped out of my many Sunset day dreams. She stood up straight again once she noticed I was paying attention and readjusted her guitar over her shoulder with a half smile that would send anyone wild. This girl was going to be the death of me I swear. I then just noticed I hadn't responded in a while so I cleared my throat and decided to do so. "Ah s-sorry about that,Sunset I just...didn't sleep well," I responded with a crooked smile. I didn't sleep well? That was the best I could come up with? Oh kill me now. "You have got to stop book cramming so late at night its really not good for you," Sunset replied with slightly concern,sitting next to me and placing a gentle hand on my shoulder. I just shot her a nod and a small smile,resting my head on her shoulder after she removed her hand from mine which was returned with her resting her head on mine. I felt like I was in heaven right now if it weren't for my glasses constantly slipping down my face. Pushing up the thick dark frames I sighed happily and carefully but boldly placed my hand over hers. Nothing could- "Ew get a room you two!" Rainbow Dash shouted from across the lot which caused both Sunset and I to shuffle away,clearing our throats and blushing. I am so getting Rainbow Dash back for this. "Rainbow Dash let the two lovebirds have their moment! Besides they are incredibly cute together," Rarity added with a wink directed at both of us. I saw Applejack come out of her pickup truck in the parking lot and walk up to the group with a smile "Howdy girls," Applejack spoke up happily then slipped her arms around Rarity's waist which earned a giggle from her "And a special howdy for ma princess," "Applejack darling please we are in the presence of company," Rarity said quietly with a bright blush but turned her head to give Applejack a quick peck on the lips then leaned back into her girlfriend. Those two were such an unlikely couple and I think everyone was shocked when they told everyone they were dating. But never the less they were an adorable couple and never seemed to bicer despite their massive difference in intrests. I took a glance over at Sunset and started smiling. We were quite different people. Well. Minus the whole thing about both of us turning into she-demons but I mean...shes so cool and talented and attractive where as I'm just..well just me. But if complete oppsites like Rarity and Applejack can become a perfectly happy couple then maybe just maybe theres a chance for Sunset and I to get together. I looked up finally to see Rarity nuzzling Applejack's neck and Applejack chuckling as she then picked up her fashion obbessed girlfriend and cradling her in her strong arms. Rarity smiled and sighed happily then look over at the rest of us and noticed Rainbow just staring at them. "Rainbow Dash. Don't you know its rude to stare?" Rarity questioned her and flicked her hair out of the way,resting her head on Applejacks shoulder. "Yeah okay whatever. Hey! Did you guys hear about the new Yellow Bolt story? She stopped an entire building from collapsing in manehatten! Totally radical! Shes so sick but not as sick as me!" Rainbow said arrogantly with a massive smirk. That earned a whack over the head from Applejack and the two began to fight as usual. But what I found odd was the way I noticed Sunset tense up at the Yellow Bolt story. Was she alright? "Sunset?" I asked softly,scooting a little closer to her since Rainbow was too busy fighting with Applejack to notice this time and Rarity was trying to break them up. "Hm?" She responded,glancing up at me before back down at her hands. I noticed her twiddling her thumbs and she looked slightly on edge. Thats odd.. "Whats with you today? You were being weird on the group chat,you never returned my calls and suddenly your mood dropped after the Yellow Bolt story. Are you-" "I'm fine!" She exclaimed suddenly which caused me to flinch due to how loud it was. That didn't go unnoticed and earned a sigh from Sunset. "Hey...hey I'm sorry,Twi. I'm just a little on edge these past couple of days..because of the sudden crime wave you know.." Sunset replied quietly,kissing my forehead and smiling slightly before walking into the school and disappearing into the crowded hallway of students,leaving me confused and wondering. At least not as cool as Sunset. "You don't look comfortable leaning against the wall there," Sunset said with a very amused tone,puting her headphones around her neck before leaning on her hand as she looked at me with a teasing grin. She was right I was very uncomfortable but I would never admit it. "What do you mean? I'm very comfortable," "Are you sure about that?" "You don't believe me?" "Not on your life,Sparky," Sunset smirked,pulling a spare chair out with her jacket on and leant back in her own chair "Come on just sit down and help me with this equation," I gave in and sat in the chair next to her. I heard the faint sound from her headphones change from something that sounded like a soul type song to a rocky metal type song. I stopped and tried to listen to it and this didn't go unnoticed by. She took the headphones from around her neck and put them over my head while she quickly did the equation she asked me to help with. Wait...oh no. Oh god no. She noticed me looking at her before she finally looked at me! She didn't need my help she was teasing me! Why that scheming- "We are covering this song tonight at the Rainbooms concert by the way," Sunset said after pushing part of the headphone cup to the side a little. This was quite an emotional song I'm suprised Rainbow caved and let her do it. I was too busy paying attention to my own jumbled thoughts to notice her say something else. "I'm sorry what was that?" I asked which only cause her to blush and chew on her lip. She fiddled with her pencil before finally looking back up at me with a cute little smile "Do you want to come to the concert tonight? You know...as my date..?" She asked in a mixture of a bold and shy tone which I'm not really sure how that worked but never the less it did. I froze up because my crush just asked me on a date. I thought this kind of thing happened in romcoms but here I was. I shifted my eyes upwards and saw Sunset to which I boldly replied to her statement with just a tight hug. I could tell she was caught off guard but she slipped her arms around me and hugged me back none the less. I rested my head on her chest and smiled softly as Sunset sighed happily. I could never really get a nice moment like this with Sunset and have it last for longer than a minute. But then..I guess that means I can treasure moments like this. "Hey Sparky?" "Hm?" I responded,pulling myself back from the hug slightly to look up at her. She had a small blush on her cheeks and looked away. Thats weird. I mean it wasn't hot or anything out here. She turned her head back to look at me and bit her lip hard before I noticed her leaning towards me. Was I dreaming? I had to be dreaming because there was no way she was about to do what I think shes about to do. I responded by also leaning forward until our I could feel her hot breath on my lips. We were so close. We are going to- Suddenly a massive crash cause the whole stadium to rumble and shake,causing us to fall away from each other. I fell flat on my back and closed my eyes as I felt the full force of the impact. Groaning I rubbed my back and opened my eyes,scanning the area to try and find Sunset but didn't see her. I sprang up to my feet and ran over to the others. "Have you guys seen Sunset?!" I asked in a state of panic,looking at them with concern. The looks on the faces only confirmed my fears. "I'm sorry darling I can't say that we have seen her.." Rarity spoke softly but sadly,gripping onto Applejacks arm as they tried to grasp everything that was going on. "Damnit!" I hissed before spriting off down the walkway of the now empty stadium,ignoring the yells from the girls. I had to find her. I couldn't let anything happen to her I...I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I ran as fast as my legs could take me down the dimmly lit street. A few street laps ahead of me burst and blackout leaving nothing but a dark road ahead of me but I didn't care. Finding Sunset was my top priority at the moment so I kept running through the darkness. I suddnely came to a halt when I had run out of breath and curled my hands into a fist,cursing to myself "Sunset..." "Run little rabbit..." A voice behind spoke menacingly. I froze up completely in a state of pure fear as I heard a growl behind me. I couldn't move even if I wanted to,hearing the footsteps approch closer and closer until I could feel the hairs on the back on my neck stand up on end. I could hear the jaw of this myserious creature unhinge and knew I was a goner. But..all I felt was a sharp wind and a loud crash. I finally managed to move even if it was barely but I managed to turn slowly but surely to see what had saved me from my demise. I was confronted by a bright light that lit up the whole of the darkened street and after rubbing my eyes behind my glasses I looked back up to see..her. The Yellow Bolt. She must be at her apartment! I had finally regained my breath..well not really but when in love you can do the impossible it seems. I ran to Sunset's apartment after I managed to find my way into a street lamp lit street and skidded to a stop at the apartment complex. I rang the buzzer for the penthouse on the top floor. According to Sunset the exchange rate of the so called bits from where she came from through the mirror to dollars was very very high. I guess people here must concider it something of a treasure like gold so Sunset is quite wealthy in that sense. I heard the buzzer go off in responce as the door opened slightly. I went inside and got the elevator to Sunset's penthouse then proceded to knock on the door. I saw it start to open and smiled brightly "Sunset I'm so glad you're-" My smile dropped and my face paled. A massive slash was evidence on the left side of Sunset's face. It ran from just above her eyebrow and stopped just under her bottom lip. "Oops..right?" Sunset said coldly as she left the door open and walked into her living room,flopping on the sofa and placing an ice pack on her face. I cautiously shut the door behind me and walked over to the sofa,sitting down slowly so I didn't shake the sofa. Sunset glanced over at me and slipped the ice pack off her face,turning the volume down on the TV and adjusting herself so she was sitting up right. "That..creature thing did this to me. Said to concider this a warning," Sunset said after a long pause of silence. She looked down and curled her hands into fist then sighed,letting her hands fall by her side. I watched her mood drop from bad to worse it seemed. I noticed how fresh the wound was and bit my lip hard. "Sunset? When did you get that cut?" "Twilight I-" "No Sunset!" I saw her expression turn from sad to pure shock at my sudden outburst. This was so unlike me but I kept going. "You have been acting so weird these past few weeks and its scaring me! You are hurting everyone by pushing us away! So much so that we can't help you and for the love of god we want to help you Sunset because if we can't then stuff like that cut can happen! That will never heal! I want to help you so bad but you aren't letting me and it hurts me to see you in pain it really does!And don't think you're getting out of this one because to sure as hell aren't! Not today! So get your shit together and let me in Sunset!" I ranted loudly and boldly at her. Tears had started falling half way through my rant and I took off my glasses to wipe them away,gritting my teeth as I looked away from her. I didn't have to look at her to know that she was stunned and to be honest so was I. I had never had the nerve to speak up to anyone like that epsically Sunset of all people. "Why..why do you care so much for someone who hurt you so bad then?! I'm not worth your time and effort!" Sunset finally retaliated,jumping to her feet and walking towards me. I shot up head up and started to back up,dropping my glasses on the floor as my back hit a wall. Sunset was right in front of me but looked down at the floor. She quickly slammed both hands on the wall either side of my head and looked back up at me,tears streaming down her face with a pained look on her face. "Why..why do you care so much...I'm..I'm not worth anything you have to give me..." Sunset sobbed,gritting her teeth as sniffed to try and stop the continuation of tears fallining. She must be at her apartment! I had finally regained my breath..well not really but when in love you can do the impossible it seems. I ran to Sunset's apartment after I managed to find my way into a street lamp lit street and skidded to a stop at the apartment complex. I rang the buzzer for the penthouse on the top floor. According to Sunset the exchange rate of the so called bits from where she came from through the mirror to dollars was very very high. I guess people here must concider it something of a treasure like gold so Sunset is quite wealthy in that sense. I heard the buzzer go off in responce as the door opened slightly. I went inside and got the elevator to Sunset's penthouse then proceded to knock on the door. I saw it start to open and smiled brightly "Sunset I'm so glad you're-" My smile dropped and my face paled. A massive slash was evidence on the left side of Sunset's face. It ran from just above her eyebrow and stopped just under her bottom lip. "Oops..right?" Sunset said coldly as she left the door open and walked into her living room,flopping on the sofa and placing an ice pack on her face. I cautiously shut the door behind me and walked over to the sofa,sitting down slowly so I didn't shake the sofa. Sunset glanced over at me and slipped the ice pack off her face,turning the volume down on the TV and adjusting herself so she was sitting up right. "That..creature thing did this to me. Said to concider this a warning," Sunset said after a long pause of silence. She looked down and curled her hands into fist then sighed,letting her hands fall by her side. I watched her mood drop from bad to worse it seemed. I noticed how fresh the wound was and bit my lip hard. "Sunset? When did you get that cut?" "Twilight I-" "No Sunset!" I saw her expression turn from sad to pure shock at my sudden outburst. This was so unlike me but I kept going. "You have been acting so weird these past few weeks and its scaring me! You are hurting everyone by pushing us away! So much so that we can't help you and for the love of god we want to help you Sunset because if we can't then stuff like that cut can happen! That will never heal! I want to help you so bad but you aren't letting me and it hurts me to see you in pain it really does!And don't think you're getting out of this one because to sure as hell aren't! Not today! So get your shit together and let me in Sunset!" I ranted loudly and boldly at her. Tears had started falling half way through my rant and I took off my glasses to wipe them away,gritting my teeth as I looked away from her. I didn't have to look at her to know that she was stunned and to be honest so was I. I had never had the nerve to speak up to anyone like that epsically Sunset of all people. "Why..why do you care so much for someone who hurt you so bad then?! I'm not worth your time and effort!" Sunset finally retaliated,jumping to her feet and walking towards me. I shot up head up and started to back up,dropping my glasses on the floor as my back hit a wall. Sunset was right in front of me but looked down at the floor. She quickly slammed both hands on the wall either side of my head and looked back up at me,tears streaming down her face with a pained look on her face. "Why..why do you care so much...I'm..I'm not worth anything you have to give me..." Sunset sobbed,gritting her teeth as sniffed to try and stop the continuation of tears fallining. I could only stare at the girls falling apart in front of my very eyes. I finally managed to move. I placed my hands on her arms and gripped them tightly which cause Sunset's eyes to widen. I could help but let a sad smile pass my through as I finally said what I've been wanting to say for over a year now.
