Part 1: The Meeting
Chapter 1
“Hey,” a voice said. “are you okay!?” The purple filly looked around to see a cat talking to her. “Good you are awake!” The cat said, “ I am Smallpaw. What is your name”
”I am not sure, I don’t even know where I am,” she said
“Just saying, where I am from I think you would be called,” Smallpaw started. “You would be called, Purplestike.”Purplestrike, the filly thought I think I will go by that name. “ I think I will use that as my name Smallpaw.”
“So do you remember anything before now, Purplestike?” Smallpaw asked. “If you're not from hea…” he started, “thought that you were a cat, but.. you’re a pony!”
A pony, so why can I understand him, so am I a cat or a pony? This was something that she felt like she should know if she was one or the other, but she didn’t know.
“By the looks of it you what they call a Pegasus” he started “ A Pegasus is a pony that for somehow has wings and can fly in the sky. They also have a city in the sky made up of clouds.”
“Who is that I see,” a voice said “That cat, and a pony of mystery!”Purplestrike turned to see a zebra that was carrying two baskets full of herbs that she has not seen before. “Who are you, and what are you carrying in those baskets?” she said.
“I watched you talk to that cat, but I am not sure how you are able to do that,” the zebra said.
“His name is Smallpaw. Once again, who are you and what are you carrying in those baskets!?”
“If you two come with me, your anger will not be set free.” the zebra said
“You can trust her Purplestrike, If it wasn’t for her I would not be able to survive in this forest,” Smallpaw said.
A forest? She never noticed that she was in a forest, but now it stood out that there were trees everywhere. “Ok so If we go with you, you will tell us your name… I think that we should, ok take us where you live”
Purplestrike and Smallpaw followed the Zebra all the way to her home, where they saw a tree that has been decorated with masks of all kinds, and also in the middle of the first room was a large cauldron, which was full of a bubbling liquid. “Take a seat,” the zebra said “So you can get off your feet.”
“Thank you, so this is where you live.” Purplestrike said
“Yes this is my home, now will you hand me that tome.” the zerbra siad
The book was big and had letters that she has never seen before, but somehow she knew what it said somehow,”Hybrid creatures, is that what this is called?”
“How were you able to read that Purplestrike?” Smallpaw asked.
“She must be truly be part Pegasus. For that I will not make a fuss.” the zebra said.
“If I remember right you were going to tell us your na…” Purplestrike started. “Ah yes, my name is Zecora, but are you trabadora” Zecora said ”Yes, I am hard working… wait how did I know what you just said?” Purplestrike asked
“You must know that you are one of three, who will stop an evil spirit from being free.” Zecora started “But first I must train you to be less hostile, for then you will you can put in your mile.
Chapter 2
“Once again I, Cminer, the president of this group of Monster Hunters, resigning from the chair and moving back to a high member” the blue colt said, “ I have had lead many hunts, and gather quests that were a success, so I am calling for nominations for the next president.”
“Cminer you know that there are only three of us, right?” a red mare said. “I do know that, Solarblast” Cminer replied. “And also reason why you are the head of our group is that you have more experience playing Monster Hunter than us.” Solar said, “you know that if the rest of us are not that good, once Teara here has chose a mission that the monster killed us all with one swipe of its tail.” ”I did not realize that it was a high rank quest that had a Deviljho in it.” a brown colt said.
“Teara, Solarblast you know that there is a new filly in town right?” Cminer said. “I know that she is from Canterlot and also has family in the Crystal Empire..” Teara started “And my name is Shining Waterfall,” a green filly said. “Teara, Solarblast this is Shining Waterfall, I invited her to see if she would want to join are group of hunters,” Cminer said.
“I jumped on the offer because I needed to do something that is not small talk with my parents,” Shining Waterfall said,”I also I need to get something to do that is not at home.” “Well you chose the right place to do that!” Solarblast replied, “Also we will have to help you get through low rank quests”
I really hope Solar does not try to get us to do every low rank quest again, but it could help her learn, Cminer thought. “Today why don’t we go on a real life quest.” Cminer said.
“We will need to get our weapon and armor replicas, then we would need the basic necessities for a quest,” Teara started, “but where should we go to?” “Why not the forest nearby?” Shining Waterfall suggested.
The Everfree Forest would be a great place to explore, plus yesterday Zecora told me that she wanted me to meet someone that lives with her. “Let's go to the Everfree Forest, it may prove as a good place to explore,” Cminer said,” Also there is something in the forest that I need to do.”
Chapter 3
“How are you guys so fearless in this.. forest, and how do you keep track of each other?” Shining Waterfall asked. “The spell that Solar used befor we left is a spell that would let us know how far we are from each other and also if we would be severely hurt, it would teleport all of us to the edge of forest so we could get help from one of the ponies that lives near the forest.”
So that is how they are so in tune with each other, also where is Cminer headed, but who is Zecora?
“Who are you!” a purple filly said, “And what is your business.”
“I am Shining Waterfall, me and a couple of my friends or exploring this forest, but who are you,”she asked.
“Purplestrike, you know better than to pick a fight.” a zebra said. “Purplestrike you know that we help, the ponies that knows the pain that you have felt.” “Zecora, sorry about the troubles Shining Waterfall may have caused.” Cminer stated. “For it is I who has to make an apology, also Purplestrike would have to make three.
“What do you mean about making three, this stupid filly... “ Purplestrike started “ I don’t know why, but you look familiar.” “I don’t know how that could be possible, I moved to Ponyville three days ago.” Shining Waterfall said “Also I have not been out of the house a lot until today.”
“Will you three please follow me, I will take you to my tree.” Zecora said “for I know why she look familiar, because of that burn.” How does she know about my burn mark, I hide it all so well, not even Teara saw it.
“Purplestrike does remember the day better, because she lost a friend that she did not want to see his life end.” Zecora said
Purplestrike told the how one day she was just going for a walk in the forest with her cat friend, Smallpaw, and then they saw a stream of fire came towards them. “When we saw it,” she started, “ he kicked me to the side to keep me safe.”
Shining Waterfall got up and moved a couple of steps back in shock, “ One year when I was visiting family in Ponyville, I saw a massive fire near and for some reason I decided to head towards it. When I get to it I saw another filly with a cat the had its fur on fire, but then I was hit with some sort of magic that burned me.” Shining Waterfall moved her main to show a scare, “ this is where it hit me,” she said.
“We all must be connected by this ‘fire’,” Cminer started, “ When I was a little cult, I saw two fillies getting hurt from a strange figure that was able to shoot fire from its hooves.”
“Please say you are have made a joke, or else he has awoke!” Zecora move around grabbing many different herbs and pre made brews. “Um, Zecora, I, I need some calming…” a yellow pegasus mare said. “My dear Fluttershy, Right now you need to go and fly!” Zecora initially said. “ A great power has awoke, and his power is no joke!”
“Hey Fluttershy I can help you find what you need,” Purplestrike reached for a jar filled with a green liquid and some smashed seeds, mixing them together that make the liquid blue. “ this will help calm any animal, even ponies.” Purplestrike gave the jar to the yellow pegasus and went to find out if she could help Zecora with anything.
“ANYPONY HELP!” Solor was running with Teara on her back severely burned and both of them severely hurt.
“Solorblast, Teara, What happend?” Cminer ran out with Shining Waterfall right behind him. “I…saw...a…pony...who...could...use,” Teara started “Fire from his hooves.
