Noble Six: Off the Record
I felt like I was floating in space. I had the strangest feeling that I've done something right. Then, all my memories came flooding back. How I helped save the world. How I died fighting for it. How I watched my friends die fighting for it.
Just then, it felt like every thing snapped into place and I was laying on the ground.
"Six, Six. Is that you?" I heard a familiar but low voice. All I could do is moan. For some strange reason I had my helmet back on.
"Six, if your not dead wake up." He said as I coughed. "Well at least your not dead." He said.
I started to sit up. "Carter? Is that you?!" I asked excitedly. "How are you alive? I watched you die." I told him.
"Wow, more talkative today aren't we. Did you and noble 4 make it to the cannon?" He asked.
"Yea, but he didn't make it. Emile is dead." I told him.
"No, he isn't. I've been picking up his signal all over comms. Actually, I've been picking up the whole squad." He told him.
"How is that possible? We watched all of them die." I said.
"I don't know, but there her-. Picking up movement, stay frosty." He said handing me a magnum.
Just then we saw green eyes coming from the bushes. Then a giant wooden wolf stepped out along with two others. Carter fired two shots into him and blew off a leg, which quickly reattached itself.
"We gotta move six!" He said picking me up to my feet. We both sprinted as fast as we could until we came out if the tree line, but those creatures weren't losing any headway.
"There to fast, there gonna catch us sooner or later carter!" I yelled breathing hard.
"I'd rather it be *pant* later." He said as we saw a town over the horizon with a large castle like structure made of crystal. "If we can make it to that town we will live to see another day!" He said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Its with them, or take our chances with that village." He said.
"I, see your point." I said.
"We got a signal moving in!" Carter yelled.
"Who!" I yelled back.
"Kat! Figures she'd find us first!" He said. After that we saw a blue figure come from our side and start running next to us.
"You boys miss me?" She asked.
"Nows not the time for jokes Kat!" He said still breathing hard.
"You never had a sense of humor. Did you Carter?" She asked.
"I do have a sense of humor! I just don't like to use it when I'm being chased by blood thirsty animals!" He yelled at her which caused a few giggles from both me and her.
We reached the outskirts of that town and we saw a sign called 'Ponyville'.
"Kat, do you still have some of those grenades?" I asked.
"I have some plasma grenades." She said as we saw six equines staring at us until they saw the wolves behind us.
"Give me one, NOW!" I yelled.
She handed me a grenade, I pushed the button, aimed, and threw it. It stuck right on the wolves foot. The others moved in to see what it was. While the wolf was trying to shake it off it exploded and blew them to splinters.
The six equines looked like they've seen a ghost. Now that I'm really getting a look at them, their ponies.
"Carter, *Deep breath* am I just seeing things." I said as carter turned and looked up at them.
Carter just sat on the ground and started at them. Kat was dumbfounded by them.
"Uh, Hello." I said.
"Ohmygosh! They talk!" The one in the middle yelled.
"Twilight, I'm not dealing with this today. They look like no trouble , besides they just saved Ponyville, and I've got a lot of work to do." The one to the left with a orange coat and a cowboy hat said.
"Aw! Come on Applejack!" The rainbow one said.
"Don't be like that Rainbowdash, you know today I have to harvest zap apples. Big Macs coverin fer me while I'm gone." She said. Or at least I think she is a she.
"Uh, were still here." Kat said.
When she finished the one in the middle was about to say something when we heard a sound behind us.
"You've got to be FUCKING KIDDING ME!" Carter yelled as the splinters behind us started forming into one giant wolf bringing in trees from the forest we just ran out of.
Then, out of nowhere we heard a really loud gunshot. All the ponies were scared senseless by the noise.
The head of the wolf flew off and the body crumpled soon after. Then a familiar sight started walking toward us with his rifle still smoking.
"Emile! How did you find us?!" Kat yelled.
"Well, I heard the sound of a plasma grenade and thought it had to be one of two things, you guys, or Covenant." He said putting the rifle of his back.
"That noise is sure to draw attention, hopefully gorge." I said.
"Do any if you know how were alive?" Emile asked. "Cause I'm pretty sure I'm dead."
"Just go with it Emile." Carter said.
The equines that were standing there just kept looking at us funny. Minus one because she had to go harvest something called zap apples.
"WHAT WAS THAT NOISE!" The purple one yelled.
"It was a gunshot." Emile said.
"WHAT!" She yelled.
"Guess its the first time shes heard one." Kat said. The other four were rolling on the ground holding their ears. One just outright fainted all together.
"Kat. Can you locate gorge?" I asked.
"I already have, or his helmet at least." She said because the trackers we wear are in our helmets. "He is in that forest we just came out of."
"Noble team, move out." He said as we all stood up and followed his lead.
"WAIT! YOU CAn't just go!" The purple one named Twilight yelled, slowly getting her hearing back.
"What do you mean we can't go! Our friend is somewhere in that forest!" Carter yelled.
"Then let us accompany you. We know that forest better than anyone." She said.
"She has a point." Kat said.
"Fine, but don't go running off. I didn't have protect civilians on my list of things to do." He said. We weren't really surprised at their appearance. We've seen things way worse than this.
"Don't call us civilians. We saved this world more time than you can count." Twilight said.
"Actually it was more like 8 times." The yellow one said.
"Shhh Fluttershy, not helping." The cyan one named Rainbowdash said.
"We can argue about this later, we need to move." Carter told them. They all nodded in agreement and followed carters lead.
The pink one looked like she was about to explode. She jumped on top of me and said. "Whatareyouwhyareyouheredoyoulikepartiesimgoingtithrowyouapartyawelcometoponyvilleparty!" She yelled when Twilight put her hoof over her mouth.
"Not now pinkie!" She said as we entered the forest.
"He is straight ahead and to our left." Kat said looking at her holopad.
"But thats Zecoras hut!" Rainbowdash exclaimed!
"Who is Zecora?" Carter asked.
"You'll see when we get there darling." The white one said.
We rounded a corner and right there was a house cut into a tree.
"He's in there." Kat said.
We all walked up to the door and knocked. A zebra answered.
"Ah, these mist be your friends you were talking about, they seem to be making a rout." She said in a rhyme.
We looked past her and saw gorge sitting down with a big cut in his side that went through his armor.
"Gorge, are you okay!" I yelled.
"Six, is that you!?" Gorge asked excitedly.
I walked in and over to him. I grabbed his hand, pulled him in, and patted him on the back. He did the same.
"It's so nice to see you again." I said.
I heard one of the ponies ask. "Whats his deal?"
With Emile responding. "The last time he saw him was when he sacrificed himself to save our planet."
After that I pulled away and heard a grunt of pain from noble five.
Noble Six: Off the Record
"Gorge, are you okay!" I yelled at him.
"Yea. Just a little scarp with a manticore. No big deal." He said.
"Wait, those things from greek mythology?" Kat asked.
"Yes it is the truth, these monsters are no ruse." Zecora said.
"I just got poisoned, I passed out, she found me, she brought me here, and here we are." He said.
"What do we do now, we have the whole team back together, were apparently stuck on this planet that we have no hope of getting off of, and we know nothing about this place." Kat said.
"First, I think we should introduce you to the princesses, there probably your best bet at getting home." Twilight told them.
"Oh great, a monarchy. Well isn't there a king or queen?" Carter asked.
"There was." Twilight said.
"Well what happened?" Emile asked.
"They died fighting Ursa majors. But thats off topic, the princesses are in charge here." Rainbow said.
"Well when can we meet them?" Carter asked.
"First I have to send a letter." Twilight said.

Celestia always hated sitting through those royal meetings. She would do anything to get out of them. Luna shared her belief.
In a puff of green smoke a letter appeared in front of Celestia that read.
Dear Princess Celestia
We have found six strange creatures here in Ponyville, we spotted them running out of the Everfree. We request your presence immedia-
That was as far as she got before she stood up and said.
"Everyone, I'm so happ- I mean sorry to announce I must leave to take care of urgent matters dealing with the safety of Equestria. Carry on." She said standing up and walking out.
"Which also need my attention!" Luna said standing up running after her sister.
-----------Ponyville------------
The walk from Zecoras hut wasn't bad, just long. It was filled with Twilight asking questions about where we came from and others pertaining to our species.
We arrived at the castle and started to walk in when we saw two chariots flying toward the castle. They landed right next to each other about twenty five yards away from the castle.
"Celestia!" Twilight yelled as she ran up and gave the more than average size white mare a hug.
"Nice to see you too Twilight." She said looking over at us. "These must be those creatures you mentioned."
"You don't look like your from around here." The black mare said getting out of her chariot looking at us.
"We're not. We are actually trying to find out why we're here." I said.
"You must be the princesses." Carter said walking over to Celestia only to be stopped by the guards with their spears pointed at him.
We all drew our weapons and pointed them at the guards, all of us except Carter.
"Noble team, stand down." He said as we all put our weapons away.
"Guards, stand down as well. All I think he was trying to do was shake my hoof." She said as the guards back away. Carter shook her hoof and said.
"Lets talk about this inside." He said as he turned and started to walk toward the castle.
"Twilight, do you mind bringing us to a room where we can all speak?" Carter asked the mare.
"Sure, we can just go into the library. There plenty of space and seats." She said leading us into the castle. We walked for about fifteen minutes until we reached a large room with tons of book cases. When we entered we saw a pink mare reading a book.
"This is just my pupil, Starlight, don't mind her." She said as we entered the room. Getting an odd passing glance from the mare as she looked up and saw us. We found a table with enough seats and we all sat down.
I took my helmet off and set it on the table next to me.
"So is this your team?" Celestia asked.
"Yes this is my team, Noble Squad. We're a team for small things like saving a planet or taking out a covenant mega cruiser." He told her.
"What are you?" Luna asked.
"Were spartans, a high class of solider that has been genetically modified to be perfect in every way, Noble Squad, introduce yourselves." He told us.
"I am Kat. Noble two, tech expert." She said.
"I'm emile, Noble four, long range weapons." He said.
"Gorge, Noble five, I'm the squads tank." He said.
"Noble six, Newest member of noble squad." I said.
"Last but not least. Me, noble one team leader." He said.
"How did you get here?" Celestia asked.
"We honestly don't know how. We were all dead. Now were here." Carter said.
"Wait, if your dead, how are you here?" Luna asked.
"We actually don't know." He said.
"Do you care explaining to us how you died?" Celestia asked.
"Well, I really can't explain it. I remember it perfectly. But I just can't explain it." He said.
"Well how about we just watch." She said.
"What do you mean watch?" He asked.
"We can view your memories." She told him.
"How?" Kat asked.
"Simple memory spell." She said.
"You mean like magic, magic isn't real." Kat said.
"Oh contraire. Watch this." She said as we started to be dragged into an endless black void. "Who should we start with? How about you." She said pointing to Emile.
Then it started to lighten up and we saw the last glimpse I saw of Emile from his point if view. He fought viciously with an elite and found himself stabbed through the gut with an energy sword. He took the elite and threw him off.
"Six, your the only one left, you have to finish this." I heard Emile's last words one last time.
"Emile, Emile! NOOOOO!" I heard myself scream over comms, then it blacked out.
They all looked on the verge of tears.
"I guess I'll go next." Kat said walking forward as another memory came into view. It was just like I remember it. She got shot, bled out, and the memory ended.
"I'm next." Gorge said walking up.
It pulled up anther memory.
"Well there bad news, and more bad news." He said punching the nuke. "The only way off this slag heap is gravity." He said walking over to me and taking the necklace off his neck. "Other bad news is the detonator is busted, gonna have to fire it manually." He said picking me up and putting the necklace in my hands.
"Reach has been good to me, now its my turn to repay the favor. Happy landings six." He said throwing me out the airlock.
He then walked over to the bomb and taking out a pendent. He opened it and it had a picture of his daughter.
"I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise." He said as a tear ran down his face and he pushed the button. The memory faded to black.
All the ponies were in tears now.
"I guess I'll be next." Carter said.
Another memory flared into life.
"I don't see another way around that scarab." He said circling around in his pelican. "It will all be worth it if dawn can take off. This is carter signing off." He said flying toward the scarab.
"Carter!" Emile yelled over the comms as he smashed into it. The memory faded.
"Last but not least." I said walking forward. The memory came back to me and was portrayed.
I was in a broke. battlefield, a couple if broke. buildings, and half the covenant army surrounding me. As they closed in and I was running out of ammo a, different elite ran toward me. This one seemed special. He looked different from the others. His armor represented someone of high importance.
He ran over to me, picked me up by the neck. And shoved an energy sword through me. The memory faded. We came back to reality and all the ponies were sitting in a puddle of their own tears.
"Well, enough about us, what about you." Carter said looking at them.
