Mic was sitting at home in one of his chairs watching the scarlet sun rising up over the horizon, thinking to himself. He heard a groan behind him as he turned around, only to see Glaze rolling around on the floor for several seconds before he continued his snoring. Mic remembered the party last night. For Tomb, Glaze, and many other ponies he knew had been drunk off their asses and several passed out, including Mic.
Mic didn't remember seeing him all that much before he arrived as they cracked a few jokes. He looked out the window again seeing nothing different from the view before, Mic fell asleep next to the window sill. This time when Mic woke up, he was greeted with Glaze's eyes staring into his face. "Hey, you're awake." Said Glaze. "What the hell happened?"
As Mic finnished telling about the party, Glaze looked out the window and said. "That's strange. It's 10am and the sun is still just at the peak of the horizon." Mic turned his back to look out the window. "Yea, it was exactly like that this morning too." Mic trailed off. "Anyways, I'm working on a beat myself and wanted to let tombstone know how it's going." Glaze pondered the thought for a second and then spoke. "Alright then, let's go to his house."
The two ponies started trotting down the road as Mic noticed something blue on the side of the road. He walked up to it with Glaze as they gazed at it. It was a blue microphone, that object shook a bit before rolling off into the woods. Mic started following it into the dense bushes and trees. Glaze yanked on Mic's coat as in a pleading attempt to tell him it's a trap. "What? You think I'm gonna turn on you or something, like not make music? Discord's a lawn ornament, You don't have to worry about it." Mic said to reassure his worried friend.
Glaze thought for a moment before speaking. "But what if there had been another act that may release him just as easily as the first time?" They exchanged two very different glares before Mic spoke up again. "Alright fine, We'll go to Tombstone's house. The two ponies continued to trot along the path as the blue mic followed secretly behind them.
They arrived at Tomb's house about 15 minutes later. Tombstone answered the door in surprise seeing the two ponies. "What are you two doing here?" He asked. "Well I wanted to show you some stuff I'm working on" Mic said. "And I had no idea where I was or what happened, so I just tagged along." Said Glaze. "Well come on in then" Tombstone replied. Mic showed tombstone some of the things he had recently been working on, but was surprised that Tomstone didn't say anything about what he was making.
Glaze looks out the window and sees it. The blue microphone. "Uh, Mic could you come here a sec?" Mic and Tombstone walked up beside the green pegasi and looked out the window at the blue mic. "What is that?" Tombstone asked. "I think it might be a trap trying to lure in Mic, sorta like discord." Tomb looked at the pegasi with a smirk on his face "Oh come on Glaze, he's imprisoned in stone, and he didn't magically break free in the time being."
Glaze had the eerie feeling it wasn't right but his though was cut short by tombstone's voice. "It's not gonna hurt to see, is it? We'll be fine." Still feeling uneasy about the decision, Glaze agreed. The three ponies trotted down the steps and were now outside. Lying before them was the blue mic just like the one on Mic's flank. The blue microphone shook violently before rolling off into the woods again."come on." Said Mic as he started clearing fallen branches out of the way with his horn. The Pegasi and Earth pony followed them into the woods.
The ponies searched and searched, but found nothing. It was dark before they knew it. Mic emitted a glow from his horn to use as temporary light. "Maybe we better head back, we can't find it anywhere." Glaze protested. "Alright then, but it's just so uncanny." Said Tombstone. "The sunrise at noon, the blue mic and now the sun setting an hour after it rose." Mic thought about that and what if Glaze was right? Maybe discord was broken from his prison of stone.
They heard a screeching noise come from beyond the trees, which was more than convincing enough for them to start running. The three dashed through the pitch black only dimly illuminated by the moon. Galloping as fast as they could, they wondered if they were even going in the right direction. It didn't matter, they could hear something following them and running was all that mattered. Mic felt something yank on his hind legs and he collapsed onto the wood's cold, damp floor.
Several minutes later the other two ponies ran out into the clearing next to Carrot Top's house. "Okay Glaze, I'll admit it you were ri- hey! Where's Mic? Oh shit." Glaze tried looking around Carrot Top's house and then beyond her garden (lulz) out into the woods, but no sign of Mic."We have to go back and find him." Said Glaze.
"No!" Tombstone shouted. Tombstone quickly adjust his voice and replied."Uh, I mean that's crazy. Whatever was following us took him otherwise he would've reached the clearing the same time we did. Besides, it's better for what's going to happen to Mic happen only to him rather than both of us also." Glaze wondered when tombstone said what's going to happen to Mic, as if tombstone somehow knew.
Mic awoke in a dimly lit room having no idea where he was. "How nice of you to join me." Said the voice. Mic looked around the room, trying to find the voice's owner. Out from one the room's dark corner walked in a tall silhouette quickly distinguished as ruler of chaos. Discord flipped the switch next to him as different forms of modern day music played as discord talked to Mic."This is real music, you see, this is what people enjoy, not yours."
Mic looked at him without amusement and said "I know what you're trying to do. I won't simply fall into your persuasion." Discord looked at Mic with a smirk. "That's quite alright you see, I don't need you to be convinced to do what I'm best at." Discord said as he pressed his finger against the side of Mic's head.
A shock went through Discord's fingers. Mic turned to a lack of hue, the red strips in his hair became nothing but a shade of gray, along with a red slash through the mic on his flank. Yes, Mic has become something unthinkable...
