Chapters Equestria was enduring a thirty year war between equines, Changelings, and griffins. This war was set off by a chain of events nopony had expected. Twilight Sparkle and her friends had defeated many enemies. The more they did the more tensions grew within species. The war had started when nopony expected it; in the beginning the war was between only Equines and the changelings. When Equines had attempted to withdraw from the fight, the changelings grew angry. They ruthlessly attacked the home of the griffins. A species once close to the equines, that changed after they were attacked due to the equines attempted to withdraw. Thus the Griffins entered the war of now three species. The layout of ownership of land in Equestria shifted dramatically as the war raged on.
Land that once belonged to the equines alone was now mixed into a cesspool of species. Ponyville was taken over by the griffins. The battle for fort Pville, as it was called during that period of the war, was incredibly ruthless. Griffins wanted to lay waste to as many ponies there as possible. They wanted a place to view Canterlot from. Ponyville was an excellent place to watch the fortress on the Cliffside. After three months of battle fort pville fell, the griffins had won one of the many battles that would happen in this war. The Changeling race was the most ruthless and soulless in the war. They gained number daily, they breed much like rabbits. They’re leaders were Queen Chrysalis and her sisters. There was only one changeling queen whom was older than Chrysalis. Thus naming this changeling queen the master and full time leader of the changelings during the war, that was until she dropped off the map. Upon the Disappearance of Tamera, Queen Chrysalis took over. This marked a period in the war where the changelings became a very dangerous threat. Tamera had ruled them in a ruthless and strategic manor. Chrysalis took over and used the army much differently. She ruled it in a ruthless and powerhouse manor.
Tamera’s disappearance did not go by without some hoof pointing. Chrysalis and her sisters pointed the blame at the Equines at the head of state, while the Equines dropped the weight of the blames onto the griffins. Celestia continued to stand her ground, she had no idea what had become of the Changeling leader Tamera. The griffins groveled angrily as the blame was pinned on them. Names like greedy bird bustards were thrown at them. Equines swore it had to be the griffins that had stolen and probably killed Tamera. The griffins, like the equines, denied any involvement in her disappearance. Tamera’s disappearance had caused many battles to happen. Canterlot had been under attack for three years. The changelings were not powerful enough to take on the big head of the Equines. Canterlot was home base, the ponies there were not about to lose the place that commanded the army. The war rages on and seems to have no end in sight. Present day was no better. Canterlot faced constant threat even though it had not been attacked in years. The princesses constantly in their full war uniforms of armor, a close friend of Luna was on her way to visit her today.
Opal walked the stocked halls of Canterlot. The walls were stock piled with food, water, and weapons. Guards were there twenty four hours a day stocking it more and more. Opal was a very timid delegate of the Equestrian army. She helped make plans for attacks and met with Princess Luna daily. Opal was a pearly white color, her mane a mixture of blues and violets. Today she was wearing the proper military retirement uniform. She was a delegate that had withdrawn from involvement battle decisions. She didn’t want much of anything to do with the lives that were being lost. She simply came around to see what was going on. She entered Lunas courters to see her meeting with several generals of military groups. She was looking down at a map when Opal entered.
“Dear Princess Luna, I hate to interrupt your meeting but I stopped by to see what’s going on in Equestria today?” Opal said as she used her pegasi wings to remove her own jacket. She quickly noticed the state of Lunas facial expression. She seemed worried as she tried to keep her casual stern expression.
“Oh, hello Opal, a pleasure to see you here today.” Luna said as she used her hoof to gesture the generals to leave the room. She removed her hooves from the table she had them on. Her lapis colored armor chimed a clanking sound as she was let her hooves clap the ground. She stood in a very strong pose. “Can I get you anything my dear?” Luna said as she looked into the raspberry eyes of Opal. “Or have you already fitted yourself with a meal before your arrival at my courters?” Luna fluffed her uncomfortable wings as she spoke. Her armor causing much stress on her body, She mostly only took it off when she laid down to sleep.
“My gullet is fed well, though I thank you for your offer. May I ask why you seem so worried? I haven’t seen you this stressed since the accusations against equines for the disappearance of Tamera.” Opal said as she made her way to take a seat at Lunas table. Her eyes shifted to take a look at the map. She saw many battle plans that had been made like a drawing board on the map.
“Well, my stresses are caused by worthy opponents. We suspect that there is a group of Changeling spy’s using guises to hide amongst our army here. We presume they are here to gather Intel. Unfortunately for us, Canterlot has thousands of troops and looking through them for a small group of spy’s would be more time consuming then it would be productive.” Luna stated as she took a seat across the table from Opal. “This is the cause of my stress. We simply can’t afford the Changelings knowing our battle plans. If they know it they will know exactly how to counter it.” Luna said as she pressed a ceramic cup to her lips, taking a sip of her tea. Luna then looked out the decretive window that added vibrancy to her dull room.
“This is more than enough of a reason to be filled with anxiety. Changelings are becoming increasingly hard to predict. As for the Griffins, Any news on the team you sent out last month to gather Intel?” Opal said as her eyes subconsciously begged for a cup of tea. Luna quickly reacted to Opals eyes and used her graceful and beautiful magic to levitate a cup of tea to her. The tea cup was of the most expensive. Gold painted the lip of the cups top. Decorative art of harmony days painted the side.
“They returned yesterday afternoon, the griffins made sure they returned in body bags. Those rotten rats had stuffed their own weapons inside their corpses and shipped them to our front door under the cover of the night.” Luna said as she sipped her tea once again. Her feathers shuffled as she felt the warm liquid run down her throat.
“Those Griffins sure do know how to send a thank you note. Do you think they plan on an attack now that we have shown interest in their plans?” Opal asked as she used her wings to hold the tea cup. “Griffins are known for their aggressive nature. They kill their own numbers from time to time due to it.” Opal stated as she looked into Lunas eyes. Before Luna was able to respond to the question her door swung open and The mulberry colored princess walked in removing her helmet that had blood splattered all over it. Princess twilights golden armor painted a now shade of red.
“They flanked us, Like they knew we were coming~!” Twilight sounded angry. “You sent me and my men out to die~!” Twilight tossed her helmet in the corner of the room. It chimed a loud crashing sound as it hit the hard marble floor. She made it to the table immediately slamming her front hooves on the table top. “I think I deserve an explanation for the loss of lives I had experienced.” Twilight said as she shifted her gaze to Opal who sat and listened. Twilight had become less mild tempered due to the war. After the loss of Pinkie pie she had never been as high spirited.
“I shouldn’t have sent you and your team out there. We were certain the Changeling spy’s hadn’t gathered the Intel the required. Clearly we were wrong.” Luna shook her head as she let out a deep sigh.
“You mean to tell me there were changeling spies and you did not make me aware of this. Luna I am getting real tired of you hiding this kind of info from me and Celestia. We deserve to know about those rats and there tricky guises.” Twilight rolled her eyes as she used her magic to levitate the tea pot to her lips. She began to chug what she could to quench the thirst that consumed her train of thought. Opal could clearly see she was angry and decided it might be best to let the two sort this problem out. She wanted nothing to do with the battles that took place.
“I hate to interrupt you both but if you don’t mind I will be shoving off for now.” Opal said in a kind tone of voice. This was the tone she usually spoke with. Both Luna and Twilight nodded to her as she began to leave the room. Opal used to be a huge part in the decision making that happened around here. For some reason she had a mind for it. She was ruthless and strategic, a good asset in some situations the army had to face. She resigned from the duty because she was tired of the fate of others resting on what she said. She had made the decision that had cost the life of Pinkie Pie. Twilight hated Opal for this; she to this day had not forgiven her for that decision. Opal had now entered the hall to see the guards were still stalking the walls with more and more stuff. She walked over to a window to see how the state of the wall was. The wall was a structure built around Canterlot. Many catapults were resting on top of this thick wall. The wall was constructed because of the massive attacks that had nearly crumbled the stronghold of the base. The defenses were constructed by every Unicorn and Alicorn that occupied the city. The Defenses were increased after the Crystal Empire was overthrown in the north. The Crystal heart had managed to be recovered and modified here in Canterlot. It was used for a constant magical shield around Canterot. Ponies thought it would also disrupt the guises of Changelings. Unfortunately it was damaged and was unable to disrupt such things. Opal looked away from the window to start her way to her room.
The Griffins marched their own streets causing loud and disruptive noises throughout their city. They had begun marching more often to prevent anypony or any Changelings from entering their homes.
“Sir the Equines have received the message by corpse. We lost no birds last night so I humbly come to congratulate you on your perfect plan.” General Peacock said to the Griffin leader. The griffins were to refrain from calling their leader by name.
“You accidentally called me sir again?” Sapphire said as she looked down upon Peacock. “I thought I told you to address me in the proper language of tongue?” Sapphire said in her usual tone of voice. She wasn’t always so cranky, after her father’s death. She had become much more like him, Both mentally and physically.
“Sorry mam, I am used to addressing your father.” Peacock said as he bowed slightly in gratitude towards her. “I wish to congratulate you on the job you had done making those ponies strung up the way they were.” Peacock said as he used his right talon to adjust the vest he was wearing. Sapphire chuckled slightly at the compliment on a job well done.
“Your compliment is taken to heart, now if you will gather troops for our meeting with Chrysalis that would be much more obliged. I do not trust a snake like her, I would like to feel protected as we try and come to a deal.” Sapphire said as she used a talon to pry something out of her beak that she had gotten stuck. Sapphire was wearing the most gold out of every griffin there. The more gold you were wearing the higher ranked you were in a griffin community. She was leader so she was a sparkling gem. The white based colored griffin enjoyed the accents. Though she wished they had remained on her father before his untimely death. Her father had been leader since the beginning of this war, Taken out by a band of ponies. In her opinion and in many other griffin minds, he had died an honorable death.
“Will do, I hope Chrysalis actually wishes to come to some kind of impasse. The last thing we need right now is another battle with her. We lost way too many griffins to her last month.” Peacock stated in a worried voice. “We can’t gain numbers as fast as she can.” Peacock said as he adjusted his lose vest once again. He was beginning to get on Saphs nerves.
“I hope more than anyone that we can come to some kind of impasse. Knowing Chrysalis she will probably not even show, instead she might send her ungrateful sister Miasma instead.” Sapphire rolled her eyes as she thought about the black and purple queen Miasma. Miasma was not as ruthless as Chrysalis, on the other hand she was hard to please or convince on anything. Sapphire looked at her wrist and adjusted a gold band that was on it. She looked at her reflection as she gave a soft sigh. “We are losing this war and I would rather come to an impasse with the bigger numbers. Help us recover from what we have lost.”
“We hope to come to an impasse as well dear griffin princess.” Miasma said as she landed at the entrance to her courters. Peacock back away slightly scared and bedazzled by the changeling queen miasma. “Hopefully we can both reach each other’s demands.” Miasma said as she blew some of her own hole filled mane out of her face. She fluttered her bug like wings creating a very irritating buzzing sound. Miasma looked at the princess with her dark purple eyes.
“Miasma , what a surprise to see you. Could have sworn I had requested to meet with Chrysalis herself today?” Sapphire said in a deeper and angry voice. “Why does she always send you to attend her meetings~!” Sapphire said as she had more of her own guards come close to her for protection. Miasma chuckled and entered. She looked around before taking a seat. Miasma also didn’t take griffins very seriously. She more or less saw them as some kind of plaything.
“Chrysalis has more important things to do than meet with you.” Miasma said as she looked the griffin princess dead in the eyes. Her wings fluttered once again as she was giving off a very irritated vibe herself. Miasma was not one who was normally angry, when she was it was a very bad idea to mess with her. “Now about the demands we changelings have. We understand you wish for a cease fire like demand. You wish for us to withdraw actions against you, for the time being? If this is the case all we changelings desire is a regular income of some of the gold you griffins mine.” The demands seemed very unfair to the griffins. They loved nothing more than gold. Giving it to some bug was something they really didn’t want to do. Sapphire was placed with a very hard decision.
“Are you sure there isn’t something else you could use more than gold? There must be something else we can trade in for a cease fire?” Sapphire said as she had a pleading look in her eyes. She wanted to keep her riches and her griffins safe. Giving gold away would be hard for her to do. She will do it if there is no other way to trade in for momentary safety. She shuffled her wings as she waited anticipating an answer from Miasma. Miasma sat and thought for a moment’s time. She slowly looked at the griffin princess and then to the other griffins in the room. Miasma clearly had something wicked brewing in her mind. It was making saph very uneasy. The guards around her were getting very spear happy. They deeply wanted to stab the beast through her wicked black hole of a heart.
“There is something else you could trade in.” Miasma said as she fluttered her wings once again. She opened her mouth in a smile, Saliva dripping from the holes on her cheeks, “for every month of safety you owe the changeling ten griffins for free harvest.” Miasma said, the harvest was something changelings said to refer to the transformation from regular species to changeling. Miasma had made the stake a little hire by putting forth the option of either half the gold or ten griffins to be sent to have their emotions fed on and bodies transformed into one for the changeling army. Miasma was not playing very fair; she knew that safety was something the griffins desperately needed. She knew that they would give something for that.
“Fine I will take your second offer.” Sapphire said with tears in her eyes. “Ten griffins for a months’ worth of safety,” Sapphire said as she felt she had let her griffins down. She was to selfish to just let a little gold go. Miasma had a pleased look on her face.
“Finally you come to an agreement with us. A shame you choose gold over lives though.” Miasma said as she started to stand up. Miasma was causing sapphire to be filled with deep anger. “Now I request to see you city and choose the ten ponies.” Miasma said as she turned away walking for the exit to sapphires courters. Sapphire felt disappointment in her self. She only wanted safety. She gave up ten of what she was trying to protect in order to gain what she wanted.
“No, I will not accept this. No deal, you’re not worth my feathers.” Sapphire said as she stomped her right paw against the ground. “I would rather fight then give up anything to you and your bug buddies. There is no deal, get out of my city before I dispatch of you myself” Sapphire said as she drew her holstered sword. Miasma stopped in her tracks and shook her head.
“You griffins are foolish and stubborn; you had a change at mercy. I will make sure Chrysalis knows of your ungratefulness.” Miasma started to flap her wings to fly off. Sapphire had enough of this purple queen. She was being kind enough to let her go to begin with. Now she was not going to show such kindness.
“Men attack now~!” Sapphire said. Peacock reacted immediately as he aimed his crossbow. Time seemed to slow down as he focused the sites on the soon to be out of view queen miasma. This attack relied on how he handled this very second. The griffon put a talon on the trigger. He let out a breath the moment he pulled the trigger. The string shot forward sending the arrow flying in Miasmas direction. She was in midflight and so was the arrow. There was a thump sound as the arrow collided directly behind her shoulder. Miasma’s wings stopped flapping and she spiraled to the ground. The griffin felt the adrenaline begin to flow. The forest soon filed with the clicking cries of changelings who had been waiting in ambush. Fear washed over many of the griffins as the impending attack was Nye. Peacock was loyal and he wasn’t going to back down. He had fired the battle causing shot. He was ready to take the possible death that faced him.
“Men ready your weapons. Purple changelings are now at our doorstep. Stand your ground and show these bastards our advances.” Peacock said to his men. “This is the battle you were born to fight~!”
The griffin’s denial on the deal led them into battle. Sapphire wasn’t sure whether or not she regretted the decision yet. Miasma’s dead body lay on the hard forest ground. Her dark black blood pouring out of her shoulder wound. The bolt that had been shot into her had struck her right behind the shoulder. Thus hitting her thumping and darkened heart, Peacock had always been a good shot, then again he was taught how to shoot by Sapphire herself. She was the best with a crossbow. The crossbow was an invention first made by Griffins. It revolutionized the way bows were shot. The second species to make them were the equines. Unicorns were the only ones qualified to use the weapon. Sapphire hoped to protect its design from the clutches of the Changeling army. A Species in which every being can use magic and fly would be hectic if they had the crossbow. The changeling began to swarm the griffin city within a matter of minutes.
“Peacock, duck down, you’re going to have your head taken off by one of these bustards if you stand there like that.” Sapphire said as she pulled him into cover. Her wing getting hit by a stray arrow from one of her own men, the bolt went through her wing and then into the changeling it was intended for.
“You need to stop saving my ass in front of the guys; you’re going to make me look bad.” Peacock sad as a sword went through his chest, the guise of the changeling was revealed to be not peacock. The one who had stabbed the changeling was peacock.
“I hate changelings. Quit disguising as my sexy body you ugly bustards~!” Peacock said cockily as he then ducked down by Sapphire. Peacock knew it was probably best to be by her so she wouldn’t be killed by a changeling pretending to be someone she knew. “One of our scouts told me he think Ambrosia has caught wind of Miasmas death hormone.” Peacock said as he reloaded his crossbow before shooting another changeling out of the sky. Ambrosia was an orange and black changeling queen. One of Chrysalis’s sisters, Ambrosia was the best at temptation and her guises. She replaced Tamera upon disappearance. “If she is on her way, there is no doubt she is bringing her army with.” Peacock said as three changelings appeared behind them. Sapphire let out a yelp and she out of instinct shot a bolt into one of the faces of the changelings. One pounced on her while she was in the midst of reloading. Peacock used his brute strength to pull the thing off his leader. The other changeling the jumped on him to help over power Peacock, he was almost down and out when Sapphire shot the bolt through on of their heads, through peacocks shoulder and into the other ones head.
“Sorry, sorry I had to shoot you to kill them both~!” Sapphire said as she went to tend to her friends injury. Peacock nodded as he cringed holding his now wounded shoulder.
“Completely understandable dear, Just please try not to kill me.” Peacock said as he saw one of his men getting overwhelmed by ten changelings who were biting him ruthlessly to death. This small city of theirs was quickly turning into a feasting fest. The smell of blood was thickening the air. Peacock knew that this was going to be a losing battle for the griffins. Falling back might be the better option.
“We have to hurry, they are tearing us a nice new behind out there. You need to blow the fall back horn on the west tower.” Sapphire said as she intercepts a changeling with her fist. The changeling was coming from behind her when she sideswiped its cheek with her fist. Its needle teeth fall out of its mouth as it squirms and clicks in pain. “We need to hurry before they turn us into lunch.” Sapphire said as she spread he massive bird wings. Peacock was with her all the way. He wasn’t about to let her down.
“Alright I’m with you; just try not to die when we get out there.” He said as he looked out the window at the carnage outside. He cringed at the site of flesh being torn off by the hideous creatures. “I really don’t want to be like that guy.” Peacock stated as he spread his wings. He limped towards the door and was almost immediately attacked by a changeling. The difference was this changeling was orange and black instead of purple and black. That could mean only one thing. Ambrosia had arrived. Peacock did dispatch of the orange changeling with a mighty kick off the balcony.
“Peacock, we need to hurry Ambrosia is here. I don’t think we can get an easy shot at two queens in one day~!” Sapphire said in a voice of distress. The large tank of gas near the hut was making a screeching sound as they were getting ready to fly off.
“Oh god is that the gas we use to power the city?” HE said as he pointed to Ambrosia who was levitating an explosive that was lit. She stood on the large tank as she gazed in the griffin’s direction. “Oh god she looked right at me. I am so screwed.” Peacocks eyes were starting to turn orange as he stared back into her eyes. The master of seduction was getting to him and she wasn’t even wearing a guise. Sapphire slapped him across the face as hard as she could.
“Move dammit you’re going to get yourself killed.” Saph said as she grabbed him and jumped off the building. The tank exploded soon after with the queen ambrosia nowhere near it. The blast sent the griffins that were in midflight, flying for the west wall. Saph was holding tight to Peacock as she and he were flying through the air. The explosion was huge and bellowing.
Peacock and Sapphire both hit the retreat horn directly. Sapphire was seeing double as she stood up. She was met with the face Ambrosia. Sapphires eyes immediately started to change a shade of orange as Ambrosia was feeding off her emotions. Several Changelings were flying in her direction. Peacock saw that Saph couldn’t fight back against the wicked Orange queen.
“Get away from her~!” He shouted as he bull rushed the queen. Ambrosia who was completely oblivious to Peacock was struck full force, both her and Peacock fell to the ground. Sapphires eyes returned to normal as Ambrosias hold was released on her. She looked down to see Peacock being levitated by Ambrosia. Peacocks veins were turning black as the deadly queen stared into his eyes. Several changelings were climbing the wall to get to sapphire. Peacock was trying to scream for help but the darker his veins got the weaker he became. Her stare was killing him. He was trying to muster the strength within to fight her. He just couldn’t find it, soon his body went limp and Ambrosia let his limp body fall to the ground.
“That will teach you to shoot at a queen. Thou have killed my sister. The rest of you will feel suffering.” Ambrosia said out loud as she then looked at Sapphire on top of the wall. Ambrosia smiled as she fluttered her wings to get up the wall. All changelings made way for her and went to fight elsewhere in this griffin territory.
“Ambrosia, This battle started because of your sister, I am willing to die for my people.” Sapphire said as she stood proud before Ambro.
“So much courage, so much love for your specie,.” Ambrosia said as her Orange eyes looked into Sapphire eyes. Sapphire immediately became immobilized as the stare hit her. Saphs veins turning the same color as what had happened to Peacock, She was going to die. That’s when the griffin’s allies had finally arrived. The only equine subspecies that fought against the base equines, A hooded and hooved being jumped from a tree not far away. He swiped a large cane at Ambrosia. A large green wave of energy shot from the staff knocking Ambrosia back and away from Sapphire. The hooded being landed between Ambro and saph, He slowly removed his hood to reveal his zebra nature. The zebra nation had sided with the Griffins many years ago. That is why Ponyville was not a battle station. Ponyville was established as a trade route. Zebras met with Griffins here to trade goods and weapons. This zebra fancied the griffin princess he was willing to defend the one he had feelings for. The rest of the Zebra army came to join the fight not long after him.
“Yazz, You showed up~!” Sapphire said in a soft yet excited voice.
“We couldn’t leave our allies to be slaughtered by the changelings.” Yazz said as he growled at Ambrosia.
“Sooo the zebras you are in cahoots with decided to join the fight. No matter they will fall as easily as you~!” Ambrosia said in a very angered voice. She stared at Yazz in hopes to take over his mind. Unfortunately for her Yazz was wearing his lapis necklace. This kind of necklace had been found to prevent a changeling from entering your mind.
“Not today Ambros, now, back away from the princess.” Yazz said as he twirled his staff that had a green crystal at the tip. Zebras were mysterious and their magic unknown by average unicorns and equines. The crystal on the end of the staff had the power of his ancestors. Ambrosia was not fazed by his magic, though she wished his mind was enterable. She had the decision to back off and retreat or stay and fight. Yazz was bound and determined to keep every changeling away from Saph. He would use every ounce of magic he had in order to protect her. Ambros was thinking about staying and fighting. That was until Zecora herself landed directly next to Yazz. She twirled another staff ten times as powerful as yazz’s. Ambrosia opened her mouth letting out an ear piercing screech. This noise caused everything in the area that was not changeling to cover their ears. Ambrosia and her changelings took flight to retreat from the battle.
“Zacora you scared her once again.” Saph said knowing Zacora could not speak due to the wound she had received to her throat when she had been captured by the changelings six years ago. Zacora nodded and look to Yazz. She had a slight disappointed look on her face.
“Sorry Zacora, I should be less ruthless with this staff.” Yazz said as he bowed to Zacora. The Zebras were a force to be messed with in these woods. They could free run like no one’s business. They could climb and jump so fast they were hard to track. One with the woods and the spirit world allowed them to do some nifty things.
“Don’t be too harsh to each other now; we just got Ambrosia to run off. Be proud.” Sapphire said in a happy tone as she sighed looking down at her deceased friend Peacock. Peacock was so close to her. His death would ache in her heart for some time after today.
“Your base will need to move before she decides to return. We may have caused her to run. Be warned she will return and when she does… I’m afraid there will be nothing the Zebra nation and the griffins will be able to do to hold her back. The only thing we could do is kill her thus killing her orange army. The trick with Ambro is that her army is completely connected to her. Kill her and the whole orange army dies with her.” Yazz said as he was now floating slightly as he held his staff in a certain pose. “Killing her would not be easy, unlike her sister Miasma, she has two hearts. The second one is in an unknown position.”
“How do you know she has two hearts?” Sapphire said as she spread her wings, she was ready to get off this wall.
“That my dear is a story to save for eating around a fire. Maybe over some grilled corn on the cob, till then I will keep my story to myself.” Yazz said as he looked at the crippled town below. “If it wasn’t for that explosion we probably wouldn’t have been able to show up so quickly.” He snored angrily as he saw the carnage below. “Your people did not deserve such ruthless slaughter. My heart aches for them.” Yazz said as he quickly vaulted off the wall and onto the ground. He touched and rolled to prevent injury. Sapphire flew down after him. Yazz was young but he was quick mature despite being a young teen. His green eyes always stuck out. The zebra never told Sapphire about his feelings for her. He thought it was best to not love. Especially one of a different species, he felt love could only end up hurting him in the end. His short tail swayed as he walked and glanced at the ones who had fallen. Many Zebra bowed to Sapphire as she walked by.
“Sorry for your loss” many said despite this battle being a victory. Ambrosia was going to come back and she was going to kill everyone if they were here. Sapphire knew she had to trust yazz and relocate. That made here question on where they could even go.
“I think your army should join us at our home.” Yazz said as if he could read her mind. “Not even the changelings know where we are located; we have remained hidden this long. I think our home is best for you to stay.” He looked to Zecora for reassurance. She nodded which meant she approved of his decicion. Yazz was leader but Zecora was the big boss. The one who gave him the shake of the head or the gesture of a nod, in the end a decision he made relied on her approval.
“Do you think the minitors will be on their way to pick up Miasma slack?” Sapphire asked. “They were the only ones stupid enough to side with those creatures.
“Those uneducated brutes hardly fight as it is. I doubt we will be seeing from them today.” Yazz said in a voice of certainty. “They are brutal but they are not incredibly smart. They yell a lot and we would be sure to hear them before they were close enough to be considered a threat. They aren’t exactly long ranged attackers.” Yazz twirled his staff and the tapped it on the ground causing a hologram like map to appear before them. “We should start hiking soon though. We have no idea when Ambros will have her army ready.”
Ambrosia flew into the hive with the stench of loss on her carapace. She needed to speak with her sisters that remained.
“Chrysalis, I need to speak to you.” She said as she landed before Chrysalis. Chrysalis was sitting upon a throne that did not belong to her. The throne once owned by the lost Tamera. Ambrosia was always disgusted by how Chrysalis looked sitting in it. Of course she never said anything, she would have hated to be attacked and killed by her own sister.
“Why do I feel your news to me will be disappointing? Don’t tell me those feathered lion bird beat you?” Chrysalis said as she fluttered her wings in an angered way.
“Technically those striped free runners beat us. I don’t wish to be killed like Miasma so I retreated. I wish for you to relieve my part of the hive so they may help me destroy every last griffin and zebra.” Ambrosia said as she bowed to her sister.
“Those Zebras are smart knowing them they have already evacuated the whole town and is hiding them. Sincerely I do not wish to take the risk of sending so many changelings to fight nothing. Waste their energy and time. They should be here making this hive bigger and harder to penetrate.” Chrysalis responded in the kindest way she could. “Any other stupid ideas Sister or have I made my point clear?”
“Chrysalis, they can’t move a whole city in a matter of hours can they? They are smart but they are not brutes. They can’t get the approval of a griffin to leave where they live without all their gold. The greediness could be our upperhoof.” Ambros said as she desperately hoped her sister would cave.
“We could have the upper hoof but we have bigger plans. I need all of our army for the attack on Canterlot tonight. We let them think they live a life of no front door war. They were wrong and I want those equines scared again. Do you realize the courage they have built over these years of war?” Chrysalis said as she sighed resting her head on the arm of the throne. “So my final answer is no, you may not request men for something as useless as killing those birds.” Ambros was disappointed in her sister’s weak choice of words.
“I don’t think you understand that we could make this a war of two species instead of three. We could stunt the length of this war by half if we kill them all~!” Ambrosia said trying to stand her ground on the topic.
“Amby if you disagree with me one more time I will lock you up myself. My decision is final. We need all of our men for the battle with Canterlot. I will not waste our men on something as insignificant as revenge for Miasma. She is dead, she will be missed. That is no reason to waste our men on her one life. Miasma would agree with me and you know it. No please leave my throne room. I have a battle plan to write up”
Opal walked these halls daily. After she retired from involvement in the war she resided here in Canterlot. The other Equine bases were not as much of a safe haven. The other bases and territories were under constant attack. The yaks were once allies to the Equine Empire. They were wiped out of existence back when Tamera was leading the changelings. She wiped them out with her changeling power. All the yaks were killed to make an example to the equines. Tamera had disappeared soon after this. The hoof pointing made it really impossible to get anything handled. Tamera’s disappearance was the biggest turning point in the war. She was the original leader of the changelings, she did so well when it came to leading the bugs. Once Chrysalis came to power more changelings were dying at the cost of her ruthlessness. Opal shook her head as she looked at herself in the mirror. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She didn’t know that she was about to lose her grip on the position she was in. Luna had made the decision to have the guards gather everyone and put a guising stone around their neck. The guising stone was made of a mineral that made changelings guise falter. She would be torn from her room in aggressive manors. That’s what she was going to have happen to her. There was an aggressive knock on her door. When she went to answer it she was ripped out of her room by three guards.
“Hey let me go~!” opal yelled out. “Do you know who I am?” She yelled out in confusion.
“Sorry but everypony is being guised to see if they are a changeling in disguise. We have caught wind of an attack being sent our way. We can’t risk having anypony being a changeling inside the walls of Canterlot.
“I’m no Changeling you know me~!” She hollered as she was thrown into a large crowed of ponies. She looked forward to see a pony being touched with ab right blue stone. She saw this one was a changeling. Immediately the guards beheaded him in front of the crowed. The changeling was then thrown into a pile of other dead changelings. She shook her head upon seeing the Equine desperation. Luna and Celestia stood by watching this happen. Opal felt anger begin to fill her stomach. Luna had decided to do this with little to no mercy. Opal and her locked eyes for a moment, Luna gasped as a guard grabbed Opal and put her on her knees. Opal knew what was going to happen if that stone touched her.
“I know her~!” Luna said as the guard slowly moved the stone away from Opal. “I know she’s no guise.” Luna said as she walked closer to Opal. “Get her back up on her hooves and send her back to her business. You should have known better guards than to send her here.” Luna said in a very angered tone. Opal had a look of relief on her face. The guard nodded in apology as he reached out to help opal up. Time felt like it slowed down, The gusing stone fell from the pouch it was held in. The stone fell right next to Opal. Her eyes widened when it bounced up and tapped her on the stomach. Upon touching opal her visual appearance flickered. The guard whom had dropped the stone dropped is sword in shock. The sky quickly lit up as some sort of explosive hit the magical shield covering Canterlot.
“Changeling trebuchets, Explosive rounds…. T-to your battle stations t-to your battle stations~!” Apple jack yelled as she rushed in the crowed from the wall she had been scouting on. All attention was drawn away from Opal. All except for Lunas, she was in shock from seeing Opals visual appearance flicker. That meant she was a changeling in disguise. Opal shook her head and started to run away from the situation as yet another explosion hit the shield. The shield became visible every time it was hit. The explosion made a shockwave that shook the ground below it. Several vases fell of a shelf nearby. They clashed to the ground as the explosion lit up the dark night. Twilight Sparkle ran by Opal and ignored her. She was headed for battle stations. If the Changeling army broke through that shield it would be one hell of a blood bath. Opal thought this place was safe. She thought it was the best way to evade the war. That was until the war had just found its way right at her doorstep. That was when Opal noticed the Changelings had brought their brute companions the minitors. That meant that they had also brought their pets. She knew that the queens would be riding their pets into battle. The biggest and fiercest of dragons were their pets. Not all dragons had sided with Changelings, only few had. The equines had their fair share of dragons as well. Rainbow dash was head of the dragon fleet she owned and cared for a dragon by the name of Draco. Draco was a big lighting wielding dragon. With the colors of black and yellow coating his scales.
“Come on Draco~!” Rainbowdash hollered waking him up. “we have a battle to fight~!” She said before getting on his saddle. The difference between changelings owned Dragons was that they abused their dragons to get them to fight. Chrysalis had actually converted her dragon to be the only one of its kind. A dragon with Changeling abilities, this beast was one hundred percent loyal to her ever will. Draco and rainbow had encountered this beast in the past and had never managed to kill it. “Don’t you let me down, you’re a good boy.” Rainbow said as Draco spread his wings Lighting started to crash in the sky as he activated his abilities with a mighty roar. His tail had an axe like tip on it. He was now the biggest of males but he sure was fast and agile. He got down on all fours and took flight to be one of many whom would exit the shields of Canterlot to fight against the changelings. Rainbow braced herself for the rain that was going on outside the shield. Upon exiting the shield they were met with rain beating down on them. Lighting flashed and collided with Draco’s massive horns. The lighting made his horns glow. The power transitioned to his mouth and he aimed it below. The ground looked like an ocean of black from the number of changelings below. The lighting shot from his mouth and plowed into one of the trebuchets that had been firing at the shield. The wooden structure caught flame and the shockwave of the lighting sent its operator flying. Rainbow Dash readied her spear as the sky was also cluttered with Changeling scum. The equine unleashed its whole fleet of dragon. A dragon with crystalline structures growing on it was being flown by Spitfire herself. She was second in command when it came to the dragons. This crystal Dragon once belonged to Princess Cadence. It’s heart ached over her death from many years ago. Dragons never forget about the past their memory bigger than an elephants. Terra was her name and she lay next to the dying princess in her last hours. All that anger she would use against the changelings tonight. To protect Canterlot from the Black Death known as Changelings, She would use every ounce of her power to aid the equines to victory in this nightfall battle. Terra was and earth element dragon. She could form masses of earth and carry it to drop it upon her enemies. Being of the crystal empire she was blessed with sombra like abilities to form crystal structures. Draco ducked and dodged in flight to avoid being bitten up by the changelings in flight.
“Rainbow dash watch out~!” Spitfire said as she flew next to her. Rarity whom was ridding the well-made tail saddle of Terra Shot an arrow with her compound bow into the skull of a changeling going to tackle Rainbow off her dragon.
“Dammit Rari you scare the shit out of me when you use that thing.” Rainbow chuckled at her skill with the weapon.
“Don’t get snappy, pay attention. Draco won’t know what to do without you~!” Rarity said as she shot another arrow into a changelings head. She was skilled if she could hit so precisely will on a moving target shooting at moving targets. Her skill derived from her precise attitude to be perfect in the arts. She considered the arrow an art. Lighting struck down onto Draco’s horns again. The lighting traveled to his mouth in arks this time. The lighting balled up and then shot forward into a group of changelings. Their body parts blew apart upon impact of the ball lighting. Terra swooped down and landed on a trebuchet blasting crystal matter all over its gears. Her tail swiping side to side keeping other Changelings away from it, Rarity was shooting many arrows at the Enemy while Terra was grounded clogging the trebuchet with crystals making it inoperable. Terra spread her wings once again and quickly took flight. She had several spears in her back leg. Rarity saw this and had to take action. Her horn started to glow as she levitated some fabric to help cover the wound. She first had to remove the spears. Her magic wasn’t strong enough so she had to go down there and physically do it herself. She used a rope to tie herself to the tail in case she fell. She started to walk her way up the tail toward the dragon’s waist. Draco did a barrel roll above her and grabbed her. His talons holding her tightly, Draco quickly turn end sideways to place her on the leg of Tera. Rarity hung onto one of the spears as she looked down to see the ground. A trebuchet started firing in the dragon’s direction. The flaming ball missed the dragon but nearly grazed Rarity by the leg. Rairty began pulling the spears out, Terra immediately showed distress as the procedure began. Rarity knew she was facing death every second she was on this leg.
On the ground things were just as hard. Twilight was outside the wall with a huge group of warriors. They were keeping the Changelings away from the wall. The more the wall was attacked the weaker it got. Twilight was already covered in the black blood of Changelings. She and her stallions and mares fighting right on the ground, No large winged serpents to help them. Except one serpent was there to help, Full grown spike was there fighting back. He was the size back when he was greedy and nearly confessed his love to Rarity. His massive jaws snapping the life out of many Changelings, he was getting angry with the spears bouncing off his snout armor. Twilight was climbing up to ride her brother like figure. Spike was fighting hard when. Evergreen the changeling dragon landed in front of him. Riding Evergreen was Chrysalis herself. Evergreen was much bigger than spike when it came to height. Spike was much more muscular. Spike let out a roar in Evergreens direction, she was a dragon spike had no respect for. So much loyalty towards a life sucking Changeling, both dragons reared back on their hind legs before the rushed forward clashing. Spike and his brute strength knocked Evergreen to the ground. Nearly knocking Chrysalis off, Evergreen roared in pain as her horns started to glow green. Her tail transforming its tip into a new weapon, her tail now had a scythe like tip as she stood back up.
“Charge spike charge~!” twilight chanted as Spike let another roar.
“Stay away from my Friends~!” He said as he tried side swiping Evergreen with his tail. Only to have her tail stab his to pin it to the ground, Spike roared in pain as her forcefully pulled his tail away from her. Cutting it deeply, spike stumbled back hitting the shield which flashed upon his impact. Evergreens horns started to glow upon Chrysalis’s command. Evergreen shot a beam of green from her mouth. Her breath was not the most powerful. It was enough to hurt spike though. Spike grew angry and in return reared back as his mouth and eye lit up. He opened his maw unleashing a barrage of flame at Evergreen. The men fighting below cheered for spike who was bravely trying to take on Evergreen. She had no soul almost in her eyes. Nothing but anger seemed to consume those eyes. Evergreen spread her torn wings that looked like the roots of a tree. The dripped with black liquid as the changeling part of her was strong in her appearance. She flew up and away, she would be back, she had winged dragons to deal with first. Spike stood triumphantly at the front gate as he let out a large roar of victory.
Rarity finally finished patching up Tera when Evergreen arrived. Rarity screamed upon seeing the glowing green eyes. The rope tied to the tail was getting lose because of the rain. Evergreen saw the rope and quickly flew by cutting it. Rarity was quickly losing her grip. The element of loyalty looked over at Terra to see Evergreen was nowhere to be seen. Rainbow saw as Rarity had lost her grip. Her bow went flying as she started to plummet tot eh ground. Rainbow had not let her loyalty die. She unstrapped her belt holding her to Dracos saddle. Rain batted down on Rainbow as she dived off the dragon. She flapped her wings ferociously as the rain and lighting was everywhere around her. Rainbow looked over to see Evergreen flying below going to open her mouth and swallow her friend whole. Rainbow felt tears swell in her eyes as she lost all hearing. Her body broke the barrier and a sonic Rainboom exploded behind her. She shot forward reaching for her friend. She wrapped her arms around Rarity. She slammed full force against the hard head of Evergreen. The force caused her and the dragon to fall to the ground. Rairity remained unharmed. As For Rainbow she was unconscious. Evergreens spiked tail hovering over her heart ready to stab her. Rarity yelled out as the tail slammed down upon Rainbow dash. Draco was too late by the time he slammed down on Evergreen. His forced slammed the Changeling queen off her dragon. Was Rainbow alright? Was she going to be ok. Those were the thoughts running through Dracos’s mind. Evergreen tried to stand up only to have a lighting strike plow her back down. Draco was using the will of lighting to full extent. Chrysalis was crawling in the mud as she was attempting to get up. She looked up to see an arrow being pointed point blank at her face. Rarity was pointing her weapon at her face. Chrysalis didn’t seem scared of Rarity at all. She could feel her weakness. Chrysalis slowly stood up with the Arrow still pointed at her.
“Go ahead, shoot me. Take your revenge.” Chrysalis said “do it, your friend is dead. Don’t you want to avenge her?” she chuckled as Ambrosia landed behind Rarity. She placed a hoof on Rarity and her eyes turned black as Ambros started sucking the life out of her. She stopped when Rarity was inches from death. Rarity fell to the ground unconscious and nearly dead. Evergreen had knocked Draco clean out. Next to him laid his dead owner. Chrysalis got back on the saddle of Evergreen and flew into the sky.
Opal was running the streets of Canterlot as anarchy was ravaging them. The trebuchets were still firing explosive rounds at the shield and overtime they hit the shockwaves were getting stronger. Opal could hardly hear from all the explosions that were going off. The storm outside was muffled and quite from the shield blocking out a majority of the noise. Worry struck her when she felt a raindrop fall and hit her nose. The shield was clearly weak now if a raindrop had gotten through. The equines needed to fight harder if they were going to prevent changelings swarming into Canterlot. A large cracking sound was heard as a crack shot across the top of the shield. Opal shook her head as she felt the worry begin to fill her. She knew very well what would happen if the Changelings broke through the shield. Nothing would survive. There was only one more defense the city had. If they used it.. everypony left outside the shield would be lost and would not be able to get back in. Celestia was about to flip the switch. She had to get enough hope for it to work though. Without hope nothing would save this city from demise. The crystal Heart was spinning like it should. Celestia’s eyes gazing at it with regret with what she was about to do. The hope in the city was at its highest so if this was ever going to work it was going to work now.
“you’re going to have to forgive me for this.” Celestia said as she looked at Luna. I’m going to set the heart to full lockdown.” She had eyes full of tears upon stating the procedure. Luna shook her head.
“You can’t do that thousands of our army is still out there. You’re going to get them killed~!” Luna said as she looked Celestia dead in the eyes.
“If I don’t do it then everypony will die. I can’t risk this being the end of this war. We didn’t come this far to lose.”
“celestia this battle isn’t over they haven’t broken through.” Luna said trying to plead for her not to do it.
“Do you want to take responsibility for what happens when they do?” Celestia said as she shook her head. “they are more powerful than us, I see no other way.”
“celestia you’re going to make a huge problem if you do this.” Luna cried out as she pleaded more.
“I have no choice.” Celestia said as she stopped the Heart from rotating. The shield covering the city thickened and now let nothing in or out. Locking out equines to be fed to the Changeling.. This was step one of lockdown. Chrysalis had seen this before and let out a retreat signal. “I will not let this city fall.” Celestia said as she spun the heart in reverse causing it to send a blast wave of energy out for miles pushing all unwanted presences away. But what of her own kind?
“How could you leave us out here~!” Twilight yelled as she pounded hard of the shield that now prevented even her from entering the city. Tears were streaming down her cheeks as she pounded hard against the shield. “We fought for you, you sick son of a bitch~!” Spike saw her in distress and used one of his now massive paws to move her away from the shield. Twilight was so broken by both the losses and the betrayal. Spike was calm till he sensed a very familiar presence in the area. Spike growled as he looked in the distance. Twilight took notice to what he was looking at when she saw massive wings flapping against the ground in the distance. It appeared one of the dragons the changelings had brought was injured and left behind to die? Spike started his way in the dragon’s direction. His eyes widen upon seeing who it was. Evergreen lay injured on the ground. Chrysalis must have been hit by the beam upon retreat. Chrysalis was nowhere to be found. Evergreen on the other hand was abandoned by the one who had created her. Evergreen saw spike and her vibrant green eyes began to water. She reached out to him with one of her claws and spoke for the first time around him.
“H-help me.” She said in a pained voice. Her voice was unique and sounded much like chrysalis. Only evergreens voice was younger sounding. Evergreen’s back leg had a compound fracture. There was no way she was going to be able to stand. “P-please, h-help me.” The dragon cried as it flapped its hurt wings trying to move. Spike knew normally the best way to help her would be to kill her. He unlike most dragons was brought up by the ways of friendship. There was no way he was going to kill her. Even if she had killed his friends. She was only following orders, Just like everyone else she was a slave to the changelings.
“Alright I will help you.” Spike said in a much deeper voice than he had when he was little. “But you have to trust me.” He said looking Evergreen in her green eyes. Evergreen looked back at him with emotion streaming from her stare. The dragon was feeling things it had been kept from all its life. Evergreen slowly nodded to tell him she trusted him. Spike let out a roar as he got low and started to lift her to lie on his back. She was heavy because she was bigger than he was. As he lifted her he sank deeper into the mud that was the ground. Evergreen wrapped her tail around his so she wouldn’t fall. Evergreen was much more complicated then spike could imagine. At night her details were hard to see. During the day her feminine features stuck out. Her horns were thin and long. The hooked like fish hooks. She had six of them on top of her head. Evergreen let out a purr as Spike let out another roar once he had her secure on his back. His thick tail swayed back and forth as he felt much heavier with her on his back. All was good until Draco came into the situation. Draco flew down from the sky ripping Evergreen right off Spike back. Draco had so many bent up feelings right now that he only wanted to kill Evergreen. For good reason she had killed Rainbow dash. Spike roared angrily as he turned to look at Draco who was now pinning evergreen to the ground.
“Spike stay back, she killed my master she has to die.” Draco said as he put his axe like tail to her throat. Spike was feeling something inside him he had never felt. Was it love? Or was evergreen consuming his mind? Either way he couldn’t let her be hurt.
“Noooooooooooooooo~!” spike roared as he reared back before charging knocking Draco right off of her. Draco immediately responded by swinging his axe like tail right into the chest armor of Spike. The axe bounced off but put a deep cut in his chest. Spike felt the pain but ignored it as the flame formed between his lips. Draco’s eyes widened once the flame exited spikes mouth. Twilight saw the fight from the distance she was and knew her and her left over men had to stop it. Draco was hit right on by the fire but endured the pain it brought on. Spike was incredibly pissed off as her rushed in and plowed Draco over once again. Draco Roared out as his back spike were stuck in the mud. Spike did not want to hurt his friend so he stuck Draco’s horn into the mud to insure he would not attack again. Evergreen had been watching him this whole time with her emerald like eyes.
“Spike she murdered our friends and your helping her~!” Draco roared as he was trying to get out of the mud. “She doesn’t feel she has no soul she was created.” Draco grunted.
“Same could have been said about anything. We were all created by something. Just because she is what’s she is doesn’t mean I shouldn’t help her.” Spike said as he lifted her onto his back once more. Evergreen wrapped her tail around his again for support. She was slipping in an out of consciousness so it was best to get her the help she needed and as soon as possible.
“your friend is right on some prospective. Though I can plead for the soul and heart that thrive inside me, cold and black they may be. I was abandoned by my mother; she raised me only to leave me here to die.” Evergreen let out a sad roar after she had said chrysalis was her mother.
“you were born like this?” Spike said rather confused.
“I don’t know but I have been this way since I was small. My mother came to me when she was blown from canterlot by something she called love. That was way before I remember there being any war.” Evergreen said as she closed her eyes falling asleep on his back. Twilight had a very disappointed look on her face when she saw spike carrying her.
“Spike you’re not bringing her anywhere near canterlot. We may be locked out but that does not mean you can just care for the enemy.” Twilight said as she holstered her sword.
“She is way more than just an enemy Twilight. She was abandoned, I can’t let her just die.” Spike said as he set his course for the front entrance of canterlot.
“Actually you can, put her down this instant. I forbid you to take that thing anywhere near home.” Twilight argued
“This thing is a dragon. She could be of use to use. I happen to…..”Spike stopped speaking as he continued to walk towards Canterlot the mud matting on his paws. Twilight stood there surprised at spike. Was he about to express some kind of crush on the Black Death evergreen? She looked back at Draco whom had finally got out of the mud. He wasn’t attacking instead he was keeping his distance from spike. Evergreen’s eye opened once again as her head had been swaying from his walking. She looked right at Twilight with sympathy in her eyes. She knew she was friends with Rainbow Dash just by looking at her. Evergreen wished to apologize but refrained from it.
Later that night all the ones who had been left out of canterlot were around a fire. This included Rarity who had been found half dead. Evergreen was lying next to Spike for protection from everyone else. Especially Draco, who appeared to have wanted to kill her every time he looked in her direction,. Evergreen had fabric wrapped around her leg along with a large tree that spike had placed in the cast to brace and keep her broken bone aligned while it healed. The fire reflected off of Evergreen the most. Her jade color was very shinny and the light was well absorbed into it. Everypony was eating and telling stories. That was when somepony had the guts to ask Evergreen a question.
“What happened to you? Why were you left here?” a Stallion asked. Evergreen flinched at the question but felt an explanation was probably best if she was to gain any kind of trust here.
“When your leaders sent out that wave of energy it made me fall from the sky. I did everything as I fell to prevent Chrysalis from being hurt. She raised me from a small dragon to what I am now. She is my mother.” Evergreen sighed. “I crashed into a large boulder and broke several of my bones. Chrysalis got up and when she saw how bad I was…. She just… left me.” Evergreen lowered her head as she remembered. That was when black tears formed in her eyes. The dragon had never actually cried before so this was alarming. “I don’t know what’s happening to me anymore. This stuff keeps leaking from my face and I can’t h-help it.” Spike sighed and wiped her cheek with a claw.
“Those are called tears Evergreen; It’s something that happens when we are sad.” Spike said to the emotionally clueless dragon. Evergreen seemed even more confused. She had no idea what sadness was. The word seemed foreign to her. Evergreen had a lot of emotions on her mind. She felt the need to run. She spread her wings and shot straight for the sky. She let out a screech as she took off headed north. Spike grunted and scampered to stand up. He ran after her despite being unable to fly.
“Spike wait~!” twilight said reaching out, unfortunately he was long gone.
“Evergreen get down here I know your confused~!” Spike said as he shouted up at her. Evergreen looked down at the relentless male.
“Why do you follow me, I am not a dragon I’m some monster.” Evergreen said as her tail started to glow shooting a green beam down at him to get him off her tack. Spike dodged to the right and ran up a slanted rock. He jumped straight up and grabbed her good leg. He was too heavy for her to carry and her and him both dropped to the ground. Spike wrapped around her to protect her from the fall. He landed on his back with her held close above him. They slid like 20 feet and laid to rest with his head bouncing against a rock. Evergreen looked up and her muzzle met with his. Her green eyes shined in the dead of night. She breathed out slowly. “spike I am confused I don’t know what’s wrong with me~!” She teared up a little. “Like I feel sad I think and then I look at you and I get this swirly and warm feeling.” She let her head go limp and she laid it on his chest plate.
“There is nothing wrong with you. Your feeling things you didn’t know existed.” Spike said as he placed a claw behind her head and hugged her. Evergreen purred very deeply when he hugged her.
“Where did you learn this?” She asked as he hugged him.
“A hug? Well, when I was little my mother… Twilight sparkle would tuck me in. I would await her smile in the morning day. But before I went to bed she would always. Hug me and tell me she loved me.” Spike said as he rubbed a hand on her softer neck spikes. “hugs are a way of expressing your there for someone, You don’t need to say anything, just wrap up next to them and hug them. Let them know your there. Sometimes that is all it takes.”
“Then I like hugs.” Evergreen said as she shakily wrapped her thin arms around his neck hugging him back. Evergreen felt the warm feeling he was talking about. She liked it, it made her feel not so alone. Spike knew draco would kill him if he saw him like this. Thankfully he had sprinted for some time after evergreen. So they had quite the walk back. Evergreen looked up and her muzzle was oddly close to his. That was when spike had planted a kiss directly on her lips. Evergreens back spike started to glow green as he had done this. Then the glow shifted to a shade of pink and her tail curled up neck to him.
Opal had been walking the streets of Canterlot for a while now. She knew the castle would be off limits to her. After Luna had seen her guise she knew she would be beheaded for this crime. Opal didn’t exactly want to confront her with the situation. If luna knew exactly who she was she knew she would be immediately punished and killed. Opal wanted to express an apology but such things seemed unlikely right now.
“so you thought you could just hide forever Changeling.” The voice of Luna sounded behind her. Maybe she had no choice but to now. “I trusted you, we let you into our home. Now tell me where the real opal is.” Opal chuckled at how Luna had suggested Opal was actually a real pony. Like some changeling had kidnapped her just to take her appearance.
“Luna I am Opal, I was always of the changeling species.” Opal said as she turned and looked at Luna. There is just one problem though” Opal sighed. “I’m not a drone.” Opals body lit up in a raspberry aura as her body began to change. First her height increased and then her visual appearance showed who she really was.
“T-tamera~!” Luna said as she dropped the sword she had been holding. “You were here the whole time~!” Lunas voice filled with anger.
“Luna I know you think I was here using you all, I wasn’t I was here to get away from the war” Tamera said as she fluttered her bug wings. “I’m sorry, but I couldn’t have just walked in her and asked for the war to end. Chrysalis was going to take power one way or another. i just wanted out and your city was the safest. “
“My friendship with Opal was a lie, just so you could keep your cover~!” Luna said as she got even more frustrated, “I feel used~!”
“Luna that isn’t how it is. You are my friend, you always will be. You showed a changeling queen there is more to her life than eating love when she can just feel it~!” Tamera said as she stomped her front right hoof. “You showed me that others could care for a species so dark so cold. You showed me that my heart can feed itself. You showed me how to care. You made Opal who she is, you made me who I am.” Tamera’s eyes turned a shade of red and her horn started to glow. “I could eat every ounce of your life right now if I didn’t care~! I could suck you to the dryness of the raisins I ate in every god damn muffin you equines served me. I adapted to your food after vomiting it up every time I ate it. But I stomached it to be by you so you would think I was one of you. For a while there I truly believed I was a pony~!” Tamera’s eyes returned to their usual pink state. Luna was in awe she couldn’t believe the word the queen was saying. “You can go ahead and punish me for guising.” Tamera teared up and stomped her hoof again. “But remember the look in my eyes as you watch a friend die.”
“Tamera, you left your own species and hid for 13 successful years as a pony. You choose to stay here over returning to your loving followers. I can’t believe the queen who killed so many of my friends is standing here calling me her friend. Stating she knows what love is now. I don’t see the same evil I saw when you killed my closest friends. I see the soul of an equine in the eyes of a changeling?” Luna said as she looked very confused. “You are right… you could kill me right now…But you’re not.” Luna said as she looked back at the castle that held the crystal heart.
“Luna I have never felt feelings before I came here. I was bent on bringing every single pony to their graves. That was until my changelings brought me a pony who had so much life in her eyes, they ate her alive in front of me and I watched such a life disappear before my eyes. I have seen ponies being eaten thousands of time before. The only difference is this pony died in vein. Her name… was pinkie pie and she told me before those changeling ripped her apart. She said…. I don’t hate you for what you are doing. I don’t see a monster… I see a friend I haven’t made yet.” Tamera said as tears filled her eyes. “I told those bugs to stop, they didn’t listen they just kept feasting. I wanted it to stop. I took my anger out on your yaks killing every last fucking one of them. When I got to the hive I killed every last one of the changeling who had hurt that beautiful pink mare. I made sure they died as painfully as she did. Then with the blood coating my muzzle I transformed internally. Something started beating in me that had remained nearly motionless my whole life. My heart was thudding deep inside me. I chose a form replicated the lashes of the pink pony’s eyes and made myself white with my mane and tail. I wanted the same life in my eyes that I saw in her. That’s why my eyes are as inviting as they were. That was they night I became opal. I abandoned the bustards who killed a beautiful form of life.” Tamera panted after expressing her transformation. Her whole body was getting overwhelmed with a warm feeling and sickliness.
“Opal.. I mean Tamera….What, whats wrong?” Luna said catching Tamera before she could fall to the ground.
“Chrysalis, she can feel my form.” Tamera said as she started to transform back to opal. “I forgot about our linked emotions. Apparently some changeling didn’t let go of our engagement.
Spike was walking with Evergreen back to Canterlot where her friends were camping out. Evergreen was slightly leaned against spike as she walked. Both for comfort and because she could only use three of her legs, Spike was caught off guard when in the distance a bright beam of light shot from the sky. The beam was coming approximately from where the changeling hive was located. Something was wrong and he could feel it.
"Don't wanna be sly and defile you. Desecrate my mind and rely on you." Chrysalis was singing as she has her hooves in the beam of light coming from the hive. "I just wanna break this crown~!" She said levitating Tameras crown off her own head. "But it's hard when I'm so run down." she shook her head as the changelings began to gather to the sound of her voice. "And you're so cynical, Narcissistic Cannibal
Got to bring myself back from the dead~!" She sang as the beam started to turn a shade of green. The beam was a mixture off all the colors of the changeling queens saddle carapace area. The green portion that represented Chrysalis was now consuming over the other colors slowly. "Sometimes, I hate, the life, I made. Everything's wrong every time~!" Her horn began to glow reflecting off the surface of her own black carapace. She was a beauty to behold. Much like all the queens. Chrysalis's mane and tail began to flow as she was attempting to take control of the beam known as Tamera's weapon. "Pushing on I can't escape. Everything that comes my way. Is haunting me taking its sweet time~!" Chrysalis sang out and all the changeling began to sing in an eruption of excitement.
"Holding on I'm lost in a haze. Fighting life to the end of my days." The hive shook from the mass of song that was erupting in response to the lead queen singing. Chrysalis laughed aloud before she began to sing again.
"Don't wanna be rude but I have to. Nothing's good about the hell you put me through~! I just need to look around." She sang as she looked at the massive ocean of Changelings around her and the beam which was slowly turning more and more green. "See that life that has come unbound~! "
"And you're so cynical, Narcissistic Cannibal. Got to bring myself back from the dead~!" The changeling erupted into song as the beam blasted a wave out and around as it had become consumed by the green. Bringing Tamera's weapon to Chrysalis's control "
Sometimes, I hate, the life I made. Everything's wrong every time! Pushing on I can't escape, Everything that comes my way
Is haunting me taking its sweet time~!" They erupted more as the wave energized them creating a red dome to protect the hive. The beam was creating protection and healing abilities. Tamera's weapon was some kind of relic that was unknown to many Equestrians. Not even Celestia had known about until the war. When active it would heal anything within the dome. The red crystalline structure was like a creature in itself. The relic almost had a mind of it's own. Ambrosia got up by the beam with her sister and let out a screech to chant for the beams return. Tamera was foolish enough to show her self. The moment she had deguised the beam had started up. Allowing Chrysalis to take control of one of the most powerful relics in the land. It could do much more than just protect and heal. The relic was deadly when controlled by an experienced user was in control. In the control of a new inexperienced user like Chrysalis it became devastatingly unpredictable.
Spike stared at the beam a she felt as if it was drawing him in. Evergreen was also staring at it with her emerald like eyes. She had tears forming as a memory started to swell in her mind from the sight of the beam. She closed her eyes to let the memory sink in.
"she is just a baby dragon your going to kill her~!" A voice sounded as evergreen was placed inside a beam of light Chrysalis's face staring at her. A Changeling queen with a blue and pink mane stood behind her arguing. "You are ruthless chrysalis, I never gave you permission to use my weapon as a creator.~!"
"Your stubborn Tamera this baby here could become something spectacular. Something we could use to fly in and kill as many of these equines off as we can."
"This war isn't about how many numbers we kill. It's only about letting the ponies see they have wrong my sisters. They killed them in cold blood. This does not mean we step down and slaughter them when we come to terms. Yes many have died in this process but it is better them aimlessly slaughtering~!" Tamera yelled stomping her front right hoof. "I don't even think this weapon can create all it does is destroy." Evergreen looked at her own little talons as black vines seems to be growing out of her. She could feel them crawling inside of her. Changeling blood was tainting her DNA and it felt like it was tearing her apart. She let out a squeal of pain as her wings spread.
"It's working can't you see~!" Chrysalis hissed at Tamera.
"Can you not hear the babies cries. Have you lost all of your heart for everfrees creatures. Your going to kill her and that's on you. Listen to her pain Chrysalis listen to her suffering~!" Tamera said as she attempted to reach in and grab everfree. Evergreen witnessed something this day. Chrysalis bit down right on Tamera's neck immediately drawing blood as she bit the higher power of Tamera. Tamera let out a cry as she felt her sister bite her. Chrysalis bite down pinning her to the ground as she ripped at Tameras throat. Blood splattered on the wall as guards of Tamera came in attacking chrysalis off of their queen. Tamera nearly died that day from the maw of her sister.
Evergreen opened her eyes and looked at spike with tears streaming down her changeling cheeks. Spike took notice to her distress quickly and embraced her in another hug. His chest plate quickly stained with her black tears.
"Spike something is wrong, That beam.... It shouldn't be here." Evergreen sobbed as she tried to tell spike a warning. "Last I saw that beam was when chrysalis tried to m-murder. T-tamera." Spikes eyes widened as he heard of news equines and everyone else was unaware of. Chrysalis had attempted to murder her boss?
"Y-your kidding me?" Spike said as Evergreen withheld the info that the beam had also turned her into what she was now. "Don't worry we will figure out what's going on. Us equines always find out." Evergreen shook her head.
"no you don't. Your as clueless as the rest of this world. Equality was what you had preached harmony was what you strived for. But your leaders would not let the changeling live as a part of this harmonic circle. Spike I trust you with all my heart, but your wrong. Your friends don't know a thing about that beam."
"Evergreen, your scaring me. Whats the worst that thing can do?" Spike asked as he gritted his teeth. Evergreen looked hesitant to speak of it. She took a Deep breath and her horns began to glow project the scenario before Spike. Spike saw chrysalis do something to the beam and it started to charge up sparking everywhere.
"If chrysalis masters controls of this weapon she will use it to end this war." evergreen said as her eyes had changed blue now. The image showed the beam shoot into the sky before sending out a wave of energy spreading across the surface of Equestria. Once it had crossed the whole surface it had left the world burnt and empty changeling hives now everywhere and crystal structures of red now making up the surface of the planet. "The weapon will explode consuming anything with DNA not of the species to that of the user. So if your no changeling you will die." Evergreen said as the image faded and Spike had tears streaming down his cheek as he thought about a world without friendship. Without his friends. Spike felt a new emotion begin to swell within him. He seeked vengeance for the event that could happen.
"You mean to tell me Chrysalis will have the ability to lay waste to everything. Tamera had this ability the whole time that was on in the past and she never used it~!" Spike said as his claws dug into the ground as he gripped his hands into fists.
"Tamera did not believe in using it to kill everything. What chrysalis doesn't know or realize is we can't eat or live if we are all that is left." Evergreen said as she shook her head. "Spike I don't want you to die~!" Evergreen said spreading her wings. "You can't just come into my heart just to go out and die~!" Spike was surprised by Evergreens emotions. Before all this he thought she was nothing but a mind controlled beast. "you can't just make me love you to have you disappear~!" Now spike was really surprised.
"Evergreen, I'm not going to die. Chrysalis will not win this. We will prevail, you just have to assure me your with us evergreen. Those changeling left you here to die." spike said with a long sigh. "I need to know you will be by my side the whole way there." Spike said as he held a claw out to her. Evergreens once green but now blue eyes looked down at his offer. Leaving the ones she had grown up with was going to be a hard choice. Evergreen looked back upon almost dying and reluctantly took spike by the hand. Equines had gained a changeling to side with them. Evergreen felt love once again, she was willing to do anything to prevent his death.
Tamera opened her eyes to see she was hanging from chains. She looked around to see she was foolishly imprisoned in a dungeon. Tamera felt water dripping on her head. She must have been out for a while fore her mane was completely matted down and soaked from the dripping water. She breathed out to see her breath before her.
"Oh you have got to be shitting me. Luna~!" Tamera hollered out as she could hardly move from the chains restraining her. "I told you I wasn't her to harm a anypony~!" She let her head hang in sorrow as she looked down and caught a glimpse of blue changeling eyes staring at her. The being stepped out to show he was a white changeling.
"H-hi... W-what are you d-doing here?" The white changeling asked timidly.
"Long story what the hell are you and why are you here?" Tamera asked confused for she had never seen a white changeling before.
"O-h m-me." The male changeling sighed. "I'm white lighting a half breed changeling. My parents were put to death for giving birth to me. My mother was a changeling and my d-dad was a pony." White said in a still timid voice.
"changelings cant crossbreed..c-can they?" Tamera said confused as she thought of the thought of the two far apart species could love one another, then she thought about her feelings for luna. Was that some form of love?
"Well apparently it is. I mean I was born.." White said as he fluttered up to her. "They don't chain me due to my extreme worthlessness. I could never hurt anything." H smiled as he gazed upon Tamera. "you look like quite the enemy to the ponies if they have you that tied up."
"I guess you could say I have done my fair share of damages to the equines in the past. I told them meant no harm, apparently they did not believe me." Tamera growled.
"My mother meant no harm either. They killed her" White said as he remembered the mind scaring event. His mother and father holding hooves as the rope was put around their necks. His mother lip spoke to him telling him she loved him. White being forced to watch his parents die for something he didn't understand yet. "A changeling loving a pony. How often does that happen. Not often and the damn equines took it and destroyed something beautiful~!" White said as his demeanor turned into anger. as he hit the stone wall with one of his hooves. "This war had made them lose what they believe in. They believed in harmony. My mother and father had that and the equines took it away from me~!"
"young one, what you don't realize is that The ponies and the equines are enemies. What your parents did was considered a war crime. They were brave to have had you." Tamera said as she finally saw the now green beam shooting into the sky through a bar window. "Nononononononononono you have got to be kidding me~!" Tamera said frantically. "I have to get out of these chains!" She began to wiggle as white flew up to her. She continued to squirm as he attempted to calm her down.
"Lady lady calm down your going to be fine... I know how to get these off~!" White said as he slapped her across the face to calm her. Tamera stared at him with puppy eyes as he began to pick at her locks with his magic. "Not many know lock picking spells, luckily for you I know a thing or two to get passed the magic proof shield of this room and those shackles. They aren't as magic proof as equine dub them to be." White smiled as he finally got her free. Tamera plummeted and landed face first on the ground.
Tamera was grateful that White had released her. The ground seemed to be becoming a close friend. She couldn't count the amount of times she had plummeted face first to it. Her eyes shifted and looked around as she felt pretty weak. She was hoping the equines would have just realized she wasn't a threat. Clearly they felt throwing the most power changeling queen in a prison was a better decision. Her eyes seemed to be glowing in the darkness of the cave like dungeon.
"see all if fine. Though we are probably forever stuck in this magic proof dungeon. At least we are safe from the war raging on outside." White said as he fluttered his wings. "Your lucky i was able to pull off that spell in here. These magic canceling crystals have their down time in power. Luckily one of those times was now."
"they threw me in this dungeon?" Tamera shook her head. "They are quite the heart breakers. They are so clueless to everything around them. Unable to see the death the right and the wrong." Tamera said in a slight singing voice. White then responded in a voice of song as well.
"lost and ruthless they can't see through this. Never gonna rise without the proper education to the situation before them. They don't know love they kill it." white said in reference to his parents. Tamera being very motherly to changelings shook her head to his response. Her singing voice turned much softer and loving. Much like a mother.
"hush now quite now, they aren't that blind. Love is a weapon when used true. Without it the connection between everything, would seemingly fade without a turn of the cheek. White little one, love is not what they lack. Difference is what drives them insane, change scares them along with the fact that creatures exist with preferences against theirs." Tamera sang softly before looking out the window to see the beam of light in the distance. Her weapon now weaponized under the control of one Queen. She could tell by the color that Chrysalis had gotten her way and activated it upon her appearance. Tamera was immediately drawn to take a closer look. Though such investigation was impossible behind these walls. How was she supposed to take part when locked away.
Sapphire was with yazz as both armies were prepping for a huge turning point in a war raging on long enough. Saph wasn't entirely thrilled with the thought of heading out to mingle with equine in hope for some kind of treaty on their ends of the war. Changelings had little to no allies and were willing to kill anything that seemed the slightest of threats, Equines used to be allies to the griffins. There was no reason they could not come to some kind of treaty.
"Sapphire are you and your men ready?" Yazz said as he walked into the courters she was residing in currently.
"no not really, what if this turns into a battle instead. What if it is to late to mend with them?" Saph said in a very worrying tone of voice. She never wanted to rule, she never wanted to fight. She was just a little girl when this war began. Her father was once the great leader of this army, ever since his death and her being brought into power. She has done nothing but cause loss of numbers. She always thought about her father. His bravery and his courage. He was the griffin she had always looked up to. She wanted to be like him, not take his place. She looked to yazz with tears now filling her eyes. "I don't want to be the cause of the extinction of my species. Yes we are greedy, sure we aren't the kindest of animals. We don't deserve to be wiped from existence because of it."
"You won't become extinct by joining the equines. If you stay the way you are, after killing miasma. You will~!" Yazz said as he had gotten frustrated.
"all i do is cause death, my army hasn't won a battle since my father died!!" Saph said spreading her wings n an aggressive manor. "What if they kill us what if they betray us and send us to our deaths by the hooves of Changelings. I DON'T WANT TO WATCH ANOTHER GRIFFIN BE FUCKING EATEN ALIVE." Saph said huffing and puffing her breaths in anger.
"We have to take a chance every once and a while. We continue on the path we are, then both our species will more than likely be extinct. I frankly want to protect the future generations of both of our species. They shouldn't have their lives taken before they begin. Siding with equines. as Dumb and stupid as it may seem. They have numbers and power. They can probably save us.
"Yazz, i have put my trust into you and your leader Zacora. Countless times. But honestly something is telling me this is a terrible idea." Saph said walking up to yazz with her chest feathers puffed out. "I won't side with them, me and my army will remain away from them. They are the reason the changelings brought us into this war in the first place." Saph said with a grunt. "You choose to side with them and you will become our enemy.~!"
"I can't believe our years of working together has come down to this. You realize that Ponyville our trade center will go back to equine control if you do not side with them, with us~!" Yazz said in an aggressive tone of voice. "Your going to choose death over protection, i can't believe you would make that kind of decision. The Zebra nation has done nothing but side with you and help you. This one time your going to choose against our help~!"
"your help is to force me into a state of obedience to a lesser species. One that wants harmony but started a war instead." Saph said closing her eyes in a saddened way. "you know as well as i how this war began. We may had been kids at the time but we weren't unable to hear." Saph said as she turnned away from Yazz. "If they hadn't hurt those two queens nopony no griffin, no fucking zebra would be in this mess."
"they are prone to mistakes but that doesn't incline they can't change. They meant good. changelings can't feel and they never will. You saw what they did to your home. Your friend Peacock~!" Yazz tossed his staff against the wall. "you can't begin to tell me you wouldn't have done the same."
"IF I KNEW THE OUTCOME OF MY ACTIONS I WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY~!" Saph said as she drew her sword. "Get out of my courters and join those equines by yourself. i want no part in your betrayal."
Evergreen had finally made it back to the campsite outside of lockdown Canterlot. Her horns slightly glowing with magic. Evergreen unlike most dragons had magic abilities because she had changeling DNA infused inside her. She was right nest to spike every step of the way back. He was the only one she trusted. Everypony else wanted to kill her it seemed. She understood for the most part, she was the enemy for sometime. She sincerely wanted to change after being abandoned by the one she thought of as her mother. Spike could see it, He wasn't about to let anyone hurt her. He was glad he wasn't the little dragon he used to be. Full grown and angry was the way he was as of late.
"now evergreen, lets try and keep the purpose of the beam to ourselves for now. I don't want twilight and the others to be out here thinking they are going to die. After all i don't think chrysalis will learn how to use a weapon like that in just a matter of minutes." Spike said as they were nearing temporary camp.
"your friends should be scared. They have every reason to be scared. Just like they have every reason to hate me. I did kill several of their friends." Evergreen said as her horns were glowing brighter. "I wish they were all as understanding as you are."
"hard to understand when you killed my master." The voice of Draco sounded behind them. "Rainbow was my best friend and you stabbed her with the stingers on your tail." Draco said as he ran a talon on his own broken horn. "I don't see how you can expect understanding from everyone you have hurt."
"Draco i swear if your here to attack again i will be forced to defend." Spike said as he slowly turned around to face his friend.
"SPIKE GOD DAMMIT HOW CAN YOU CARE FOR THIS CREATURE. ~!" Draco said with a roar and growl. "Rainbow was your friend too and your defending the one who killed her?" Draco said as he stabbed the weapon on the end of his tail into the muddy ground. "Why are you so attached."
"that doesn't matter. Evergreen is hurt. Rainbow was more my friend then yours Draco. I knew her much longer than you. My heart aches for her. She wouldn't want you to seek vengeance~!" Spike said as his upper lip twitched angrily. as thunderstorms were rolling in again. Draco would be hard to fight back if those clouds contained enough static.
"spike, Evergreen is a Changeling. She is just like the ones you have been fighting for thirty fucking years. How can you be so blind, Vengeance is something Rainbow would not want, it's something i want and there is NOTHING~!" Draco roared as lighting came down striking his horns. "your going to do to stop me." The lighting came out of dracos mouth slamming into Spike. Spike slid back n the mud as the lighting struck him. the pain shot through him like nothing he had felt before. Draco definitely had distance against spike.
"Oh i will do everything.....in....my power...to stop you." Spike said as pain was like an ocean inside him. Spike reared back and then charged forward to tackle Draco to the ground. Draco shot another bolt into spike upon his tackle. Spike roared and writhed in pain as he was knocked tot he ground. Draco then aimed for evergreen but was tripped up by spikes longer tail. Twilight and the rest of the group were rushing over to stop the fight between the male dragons. Terra flew up into the sky to try and reach them in time. Her crystal powers ready to restrain them both if needed. Spike pulled Draco in and bit him on the front leg. The sound of a breaking bone was immediately heard followed by a lighting bolt to spikes face. The shockwave knocked the nearby ponies to the ground. Spike roared in pain once again as he slowly stood up to be tackled by Draco. Draco was aligned for a finishing blow to kill spike.
"this is what happens spike when you fight for the enemy." Draco went to slam the axe like weapon on his tail into spikes neck. He was inches away when a long spike shot out the front of Dracos chest. Draco was slowly being raised up off the ground by the tail of none other than Evergreen. Her eyes were a rubby red as anger was consuming her magic wield. She let out a roar as she turned Draco to look into her eyes. The tail still stabbed right through him. Spike was trying to speak to tell her to release him but his voice was to weak.
"this si what happens when you don't know what your fighting for." evergreen said in a chrysalis like voice. "you will never hurt someone i love AGAIN." she said in a voice that sounded much like ambrosia now. "You will never~!" Her voice switched to another changeling queens voice. "Kill AGAIN" Her voice ended with the chrysalis tone once more. Evergreen was created by the beam when it was controlled by a part of each queen therefore her voice could shift between all of them. She ripped her tail out of his chest allowing him to fall dead and motionless to the ground. She raised her head into the sky and let out a high pitched and bat like screech. her right front paw placed upon her kill. Her tail curling upwards to the sky as well. Terra flew down from the sky and tackled the female to the ground.
"don't worry spike i wont hurt her, i'm just going to make sure she doesn't hurt anyone else." Terra said as she placed a hand on Evergreens head using her dragon abilities to put her into a dream like state.
