There was no point in running. It would catch up eventually, going along at a pace slightly above her's just to terrify her. She frantically tried to find her quill. At this point she had to use her own blood as her ink. It didn't matter anyways, she was soon to be dead. Why this was happening was beyond her, but one thing was certain. It would find her, and when that happened, she would die. Her light blue mane was matted with dried blood, both her's and her friends. Her eyes widened at every sound as she levitated her quill to the sheet of paper.
I haven't much time. It will find me. I'm as good as dead. But this thing, whatever force it may be, will find me. I'm writing this as a warning. If you find this book, do not perform the spell. Evil things will happen, and you will regret it. It will slaug-
Pain exploded in her eyes. The warm crimson fluid showered the tattered leather book. She screeched in both surprise and pain, bringing her hooves to her now-empty eye sockets. Suddenly, there was an excruciating pain coming from her tail. If she could still see, she would see her blood-soaked tail slowly ripping itself off of her rear. She heard all of it happen though, like grass being pulled out of the ground. Then the inevitable happened. She felt a stabbing in her chest. She coughed up a lot of blood, falling to the ground in blind agony, with her heart wrenching in pain. It beat feebly, every pulse sending a wave of pain throughout her body. After a few waves of pain, her heart finally stopped. She lay in a pool of her own blood and excrement, dead from the shock.
