Chapter ten. Lessons On How To Fit In

It was the day the day after Rarity had been jailed for murder, It was also the day after Applejack and Fluttershy had announced that they were to be getting married in a week. Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie pie and starlight were all shocked to find out that Rarity was the killer. The day had a weird atmosphere, Everypony was looking forward to the wedding, but the thought of Rarity being the killer dampened the joy. Spike thought it would be best if he taught Anon how to fly today hoping it would take his mind off Rarity, so he head over to Sugar Cube Corner Straight after Breakfast with the family.

Spike and Anon were outside and away from Ponyville, Away from prying eyes, Away from anything breakable. You were in the air flapping your wings as hard as you could trying to keep you self in the air. "That's it, now try moving forwards" Spike calls out from down on the ground.

You started to flap your wings and move yourself for a forward, for the most part it was going well. "Oh yeah, look at me flying, THIS IS AWESOME!" You close you're eyes and feel the wind brush past face as you move through the air.

"ANON! WATCH OUT!" You hear Spike shout.

Causing you open your eyes, you were on a head straight collision course with tree. "Oh SHIIITTT! HOW DO YOU STOOOOOOPPPPPP!!!!!!!" Before you know it you've hit the tree landing on the ground with a loud thump, "Ow, that hurt" you laughed pick your self up.

Spike run over to where you had landed in fear that you had hurt your self, "Anon! are you okay?"

"Yeah im fine, don't worry its just my rump t pump that hurts" you reassure Spike making him feel better.

"Okay, phew... Your already ready talking like Pinkie?" Spike asks making you blush. "Alright fine I wont asks you about Pinkie again... Ready to have another go?" Spike asks grinning.

"You bet" You start to flap your wing reaching higher into the air.

But each attempt of flying ended up in you hurting you self, moments of crash after crash, thump after thump, each one hurting more then the other, But yet you persevered on the want, the need to fly pushed you on. It was coming up too lunch and Spikes belly growled furiously at the need for food, Spike thought it was time to call it for the day.

"Hey, Anon!"

You hear Spike call out, so you look down towards where Spike was standing "WHAT?"

"Lets stop and have lunch ...watch out!"

While your attention was on Spike, you didn't notice you were flying straight into a hill before you knew it your horn was stuck in the ground. You try to push your self out using all four hoofs pressing down on the ground while you strain your neck trying to pull your horn out of the ground. it wasn't until Spike grabbed hold of you and started pulling you out were you free from the grounds grasp.

You get up on all fours and clean the dirt off your horn "thanks" you blush slightly embarrassed by what happened.

"Heh no problem, Now that's enough flying practice for today. Let's get some lunch come on" you follow Spike back into Ponyville looking for somewhere to eat.

Once you were in the centre of the town in Ponyville Spike stopped and looked at you "where do you wanna eat?"

"Whereas good?" You ask not knowing any of the restaurants.

"Well I would recommend The Three Leaf Clover they make amazing hay fries" Spike answered with a smile, remembering those hay fries.

"Sure, sounds great."

You and Spike made your way to the restaurant and sat out side waiting for the waiter, you didn't have to wait long The Waiter came over too your table looking very happy. The Waiter was a white unicorn with a brown mane and dressed in the proper Waiter attire with a curled out moustache.

The Waiter stopped and bowed in front of you "Im so glad, that the finest Prince's in Equestria have come to eat at this fine establishment of mine, Really its a privilege."

"Its no problem Really this Restaurant has been a favourite of mine for many years now, I've just been too busy too ever eat here" Spike complemented The Waiter.

"Well that's high honour, thank you Prince Spike. Now what would you fine gentlecolts like to eat?" The waiter asks while levitating a notepad and quill ready to take your orders down.

"Well have two large portions of hay fries extra crispy please" Spike ordered with a smile.

The Waiter wrote down the order and look back up smiling "and to drink?"

"Two mugs of the finest Apple's Family Cider"

The Waiter wrote down the last order and Smiled again for the second time "Your order wont take longer My Prince's" The Waiter walked away to give the orders to the chefs.

Five minutes later The Waiter returned with your meals in hoof, he placed the meal on the table in front you smiling "enjoy your food good Prince's." The Waiter said before he left to attend other customers.

On the table before you was large portion of hay fries and a mug of cider, you take one of the smaller fries and pop it to you mouth sampling taste of fries. You soon start guzzling down the fries and Cider indulging in the salty and bitter taste making Spike smile.

"told you they were good." Spike threw a couple of fries into his mouth.

You pick up a napkin to clean you muzzle before you answer Spike "Yeah you wasn't lying these hay fries are marvellous."

"Dude, you gotta stop talking like Pinkie" Spike raised his eyebrow in disbelief.

"Sorry" you frown at the thought of Rarity.

Spike frowns as well noticing something was bothering you "what's wrong?"

"Its just feels that we caught the killer too quickly and so easily... Doesn't it bother you?"

"Of course it dose but there's nothing we can do about it, just drop it" Spike answered coldly

At Sweet Apple Acres

Applejack and Scootaloo Are outside feeding the Animals while they talk about recent and upcoming events.

"I just can't believe Rarity was the killer, why would she do it? It just doesn't make any sense" Applejack questioned as she fed the pigs.

"I hear ya Applejack but could we do? The evidence was overwhelming" Scootaloo answered closing the hen coop.

Applejack finished feeding pigs, she closed the pen up and trotted back to the house with Scootaloo "what about Trixie? could she be behind this?"

"No way she was way too up set when Rarity got arrested, Trixie stormed out of the castle and no one has seen her since then" Scootaloo reasoned.

"Ok, okay I get ya, it just strange ya know?"

"I know. Anyway lets talk about the wedding, does the family know?"

"Well obviously Macintosh knows" Applejack chuckles

as they walk past the apple orchid as Big Mac was bucking apples and looked at the mares walking past "Eeyup" Big Mac confirmed making Scootaloo and Applejack giggle.

"And ah sent letter to Applebloom, she's coming down along with Sweetie Belle." Applejack continued with her answer.

Scootaloo eyes went wide at the mention of Sweetie Belle's name "Oh Celestia! What's Sweetie Belle gonna say about what's happened?"

"I don't know Sugar Cube, I guess we cross that Bridge when come to it. Now come on" Applejack hurried Scootaloo.

"where we going?" Scootaloo asks curiously.

"The hospital, I have tell Granny Smith about the wedding lets go."

Spike and Anon where finishing the last of their Hay Fries and Apple cider until Starlight Glimmer came along, with a Smile wider then the god of chaos himself.

"Im so glad I found you Anon" Starlight smiled at you.

"You are?" you ask confused.

"Yes I am, as I hear it you want to learn magic and I am you teacher, correct?"

"Yeah that's correct, I guess"

"Excellent, lets get going then?" Starlight started trotting off before you could answer, you bid Spike a farewell before heading off to catch up with Starlight.

You and Starlight walk to The Castle of Friend ship as it is now know as, where Starlight lives as she studded under Princess Twilight Sparkle. Starlight asked about you how your time was since you arrived here in Equestria and honestly you couldn't complain. Since you've arrived here you've gained a fun, beautiful and interesting mare to say the least and seven new friends, The ability to fly and the possibility of having powers was more then you could ever expect. It seemed being transported here was the best thing that could ever happen, everything looked like it was going to be plain sailing from here on out.

At The Castle Of Friendship

Starlight left you in the map room while she gather what she needed for her first lesson, So you sat in Pinkie pie's throne while you waited for Starlight to return. Suddenly a multicolour light beamed from came Pinkie's cutie mark symbol on the chair and landed on the table allowing you to see the map of Equestria in all its glory "whoa!"

You saw Ponyville and Canterlot but you also saw places you didn't know like Manehattan, Appaloosa, The Crystal Empire, Filly Delphia and the Arimaspi territory were just few he didn't know.

Starlight glimmer trots in with her saddle bags on her back ready to teach you until she see's you looking at the Cutie Map "I cant believe you did this?" starlight asks with a shocked expression.

You quickly get up on all four's, getting out of Pinkie throne in Surprise "I-I didn't mean to, allididwassitdownandthemapappered" you tell her Quickly afraid you did something wrong.

"No you don't understand, ONLY powerful Unicorn can activate the map or a friendship problem" Starlight explains still wearing a shocked expression.

You swipe away the sweat from around your horn as relaxed at the fact Starlight isn't angry, soon what starlight said hit you and your eyes widened surprised "you mead im a powerful Unicorn?" you ask just in case you heard her wrong.

"Well you're a powerful Alicorn, but yes that is exactly what im saying" Starlight answered sounding excited.

"Oh this is gonna be soooo AWESOME!" You shout excited, you turn your head looking at Starlight laughing "what it is."

"Nothing, its just you sound like an old friend I use to know, she's no longer about" the mare looked sadly at the ground.

"It couldn't be Rainbow Dash could it?"

"How did you know?" Starlight swallowed a lump in her throat.

"Spike told me about her" you answer her

"Oh right" Starlight frowned again.

"Who was she?" You ask curious.

"Sit down ill tell you" you do as your told and sit back down in Pinkie's throne while Starlight put her saddle bags down on by the doors and sits in Twilights throne opposite to you. "Rainbow Dash was a pegasus that lived in Cloudsdale (Starlight points to Cloudsdale on the map) and her job there was a weather pony she could clean the skies in ten seconds flat. Rainbow was the best flyer in Equestria, she was so good that she was able to do a Sonic Rainboom that made her go faster then any Pegasus in the whole of Equestria." your eyes go wide in surprise while Starlight sadly smiles before she continued to talk.

"Anon do you see anything that looks like it could be missing or looking out of place in this room?"

You start to scan the room look at the walls to the window and curtains, then at the chairs around the table and notice it looks like one is missing "Is a chair missing?" you ask not sure if you right.

"That's right Rainbow was one of The Elements of Harmony, she was the Element of Loyalty, Rainbow was there for all her friends and never let one of the down" Starlight answered.

"What happened to her?" You ask letting your curiosity hitting the roof.

"Well eight years ago Rainbow and Rarity were together but at the time an evil pony had return to take over Equestria his name was king Sombra! But to cut a long story short Rainbow had lost her wing in one of the battles and Rarity broke up with Rainbow on the same day. Rainbow was so upset she had lost her Marefriend and wing in the same day so she decided to join Twilights army to fight against King Sombra's army. But on the day of the last battle King Sombra had got hold of Dash and weakened her and used her as bait to lure Spike to him." Starlight started to cry "S-Spike did h-his best to bring her back alive But... King Sombra killed her be for he could do anything, that's when Rainbow's throne fell and we used it as her grave stone and Spike blamed him self ever since" Starlight wiped away the tears.

"What happened to King Sombra?" You ask angrily.

"Spike killed him, he Snapped Sombra's neck, now enough lessons on the past. Lets begin your magic lesson" Starlight trots over to her saddle bags.

At The Hospital

Applejack and Scootaloo made their way into the hospital, and took the stairs all the way to level 3. They trotted down the corridor with Applejack knowing exactly which room Granny Smith was in since she had been there visiting many times. Applejack made frowned as she remembered the time Granny was called into hospital. Granny was sorting the jars out military style ready for the Zap Apple Jam, But before she could inspect the last jar Granny Smith had a heart attack. She survived the attack but the doctors advised she Stay in hospital for a month, What with her age and how fragile she is.

Applejack and Scootaloo walked into the room where Granny smith had been staying since she came to the hospital. Applejack frowned when she discovered the room empty, missing her nonsensical Granny "Where in Equestria could that mare be?" Applejack started to worry.

Scootaloo put a hoof on Applejack's shoulder comforting the orange mare "Don't worry AJ they probably just moved her lets go talk to The Receptionist."

Applejack smiled and nodded in agreement and made their way to the to The Receptionist. When they got there the mare looked up and recognised Applejack "miss Applejack we have been sending you letters after letters"

"You have? But why is Granny Smith okay"

"Im so sorry but Granny Smith died about three day's ago," The Receptionist explained, while Applejack stood frozen she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "So we buried her in the in Ponyville's Grave Yard."

"YA DID WHAT! and with out telling me how dare you." Applejack Galloped out of the hospital angry with Scootaloo following close behind.

They soon ended up in Ponyville's Grave Yard Applejack made her way frantically to her parents graves with Scootaloo following behind her. Applejack Took off her hat when she made it to her mum and dad's grave Appleanna and Applepippin and Right next them was Granny Smith. Applejack broke down and cried, Scootaloo put a hoof on Applejack's shoulder making Applejack cry into Spike's shoulder while Scootaloo hugged her in return.

"Im ah terrible pony" Applejack cried into Scootaloo's shoulder.

"Your not a terrible pony" Scootaloo tried to comfort her.

Applejack pulled away "I am, I wasn't there for when she died. She died cold and alone, thinking no one cared about her and its all my fault."

"Its not your fault" Scootaloo tried to console Applejack.

"But it is."

"It isn't, you were busy with the Farm, and you didn't even know those letter's didn't even make it to you. And she never thought no one cared you and Big Mac were always going up there when you could, so your not a terrible pony not for one second so stop thinking like that."

Applejack knew that Scootaloo was right "Yeah your Right thanks Scoot."

Scootaloo smiled feeling good "no Problem AJ."

Applejack's eyes went wide in fear "Oh no what about Big Mac and Applebloom they'll going to be heart broken, we've got to go tell them." With that Applejack put her hat back on and made her way made way back home With Scootaloo her most trusted friend by her side.

At The Friendship Castle

You have been able to learn how to lift things with your magic and how to do menial tasks like opening door's, turning pages of in books.
But now Starlight had moved you on too hard spell's.

Starlight brought you out another book, this was the Sixth book that Starlight had brought you "Now try again, Teleport this book to the other side of the table... please." Starlight pleaded, You were able to teleport objects but the only thing is you never know where they end up.

You horn started to glow with aqua coloured magic while you focus on teleporting the book to the other side of the table. The book starts to be covered in Aqua coloured magic and disappears, you Starlight look hopeful at the other side of the Table. The both of you frown as the book didn't appear you start to hang your head low, when suddenly a flash of light appears and the book you just sent appears on the other side of the table.

"YES, GET IN! , I bloody did it haha!" You cheer in victory.

"Well done Anon, But lets try it again to see if you really have mastered this spell" Starlight trots over gets book as you yawn tired from today's activities.

"I promise Anon this is the last time, then you can go home okay" Starlight promised.

"Okie dokie lokie" you answer trying to keep an up beat attitude making Starlight smile slyly.

You Start to perform the Spell for the last time today, once again you focus on the book and it watch it disappear and reappear on the other side of the table again.

"Excellent, you can go home now." Starlight smiled slyly at you again.

"Awesome, thanks for today Starlight."

"Its fine, what are friends for... How's living with Pinkie?"

"Its great, she's has lots of energy which I love, and she just amazing to be around." Anon answered while a big grin was plastered on your face.

"Sounds like a perfect match" Starlight giggled lightly.

You start to walk to wards the door leaving "See ya Starlight."

"See you tomorrow Anon"

You suddenly stop at what starlight just said "what do you mean see you tomorrow?"

"Well you wanna get better at magic yeah?" You nod your head in reply leave Starlight to continue, "Well then you've got to practice everyday."

"At least let me have weekend's off?" You beg looking hopeful.

"Fine, weekend's that's it" Starlight huffed.

"Brilliant, bye Starlight" You bounced out of the castle leaving starlight alone looking forward to getting back to Pinkie.

Once you had left Starlight started to Search the castle "Now where did those other books go?" Starlight spoke to her self.

Dinner at Spike and Scootaloo's house

Spike, Scootaloo and Agile sat up at the table eating dinner that Spike had just made from scratch. Spike loved cooking for his family, it made feel happy know he was feeding and looking after his Family, Spike felt it gave him a purpose in the house. Spike made a simple Salad with normal salad dressing for Scootaloo while Spike and Agile still had salad's they had an extra added gemstones added into their salad's.

"So how are my two favourite girls today, what did you get up too?" Spike asks whit a huge Smile, this was paradise for Spike nothing could come close too it.

"Well Daddy, Miss Cheerily was teaching us about cutie marks, will I get one Daddy" Agile asked curiously.

Spike seemed to reflect on what Agile had just asked, on one hand She was a pony but she was also part dragon Spike had no clue and Decided to be honest with his daughter. "Honestly darling I don't if you'll get a Cutie Mark, but just makes you so much more special then everypony else, okay darling?"

"I guess" Agile Frowned wanting to be normal pony.

Spike looks over too his wife quietly eating "how about you my dear, What did you do today?"

"Well, Me and Applejack went to visit Granny Smith to tell her about the engagement. But... when we got there we found Granny Smith had died and been dead for three day's, after that we found her in Ponyville's Grave Yard next to Applejack's mum and Dad. Applejack was so distort I feel so bad for her right now."

Spike frowned "that must have been awful for her, im so sorry that you had such a bad day."

Scootaloo smiled "its not your fault tell me about your day?"

"Pretty simple day, This morning I tried to teach Anon how to fly, he still need's a few more lesson's. After that we got lunch at the Three Leaf Clover, that was until he got token away by Starlight for magic lessons. That's when I made my way back to Sweet Apple Acres and had a card game with Big Mac, I won I got the new comic of The Power Ponies. nothing too wired."

Scootaloo smile and nodded "sound's like a good day."

"yeah" Spike sighed sadly.

"What's wrong?" Scootaloo asked worried.

"Im having second thoughts about Rarity" Spike admitted.

"You did everything that you could do there's nothing you could of done" Scootaloo reassured him.

"Yeah, I guess" Spike sighed again.

"By the way, I thought we should get an early night today." Scootaloo winked at Spike making him Smile wickedly.

After dinner Agile played with her toy before it was her time for bed. not too soon after Spike Scootaloo went bed, After a passionate night of sex Spike and Scootaloo fell a sleep in each others arms.

Spike found himself in cloud house he called out for anyone confused by his surroundings. Spike soon her little pats on the cloud sounding like somepony was walking towards him, he turn around to see Rainbow dressed in a plane white dress.

"RANIBOW!?" Spike shouted in surprise.

"Hey Spike" Rainbow Smiled warmly.

"What are you doing here?" Spike asks confused.

"Well im Still dead, and your dreaming but I needed to talk to that's why im here, does that answer everything Spike?" Rainbow smirked.

"Eeyup" Spike nodded.

"Good, you need to trust your gut instinct's and Don't trust Rarity, she not the same mare she use to be. I don't say this because of what she did no I do this out of loyalty. Her heart is filled with darkness and her mind is warped there is no going back for her, she is lost to the dark powers." Rainbow warned him while a single tear fell.

Spike frowned in disappointed, "Rainbow I have to tell you, I tried my best to save you but there was nothing I could do... I didn't mean for you to die. I-I im so sorry I let you down" tears we're streaming down Spikes face.

Rainbow pulled Spike into a strong hug "I don't blame you Spike, It wasn't your fault, you did your very best and don't ever think any less Spike." Rainbow pulled Spike away and kissed him on the Forehead while Spike dried his eyes in surprise "don't tell any one I did that I got a reputation ya know."

Spike laughed at Rainbow's joke "we all miss you Dash."

"And I miss you all too, I've only got a short time left so tell everypony I love them and tell them goodbye from me okay big guy." Rainbow started to slowly fade away.

"Okay Dash I will" Spike promised.

"Thanks Spike, ....this is goodbye now Spike, I wont see you in a good couple of a thousand years."

"Goodbye Rainbow Dash."

Rainbow was almost gone "Hey Spike!"

"Yeah?"

"Agile is so cute you should be so proud."

Suddenly Spike woke up sweaty but happy and smiling feeling better know Rainbow was okay and watching over them.

This was a long ass fanfiction to write but I hope you all like it. I made sure that Applejack's Mum and Dad's name was Apple based I even looked up different Apple names online I can only hope that I did well. Only three chapter's left to go , im so nervcited
