Moddie's Story Book of Awesome Stories
Micky was never one to get roped into these situations. She never liked them either. But here she was, laying on her back underneath a tall light blue stallion. She was blushing so hard as she tried not to make eye contact with him. The tall stallion, that was looming over her, had a snow white and bright blue mane, it was lightly dampened with sweat. He was blushing almost as much as her. The both of them stared off into different directions, both so desperate trying not to acknowledge what was happening. The space between them was minimal, their lower bodies just inches apart.

“U-um… ” She peeped out and her body trembled slightly,”Swift, we don’t have to do this… d-do we?” She spoke, her voice was soft and quiet, a drastic change from her usual loud and sarcastic tone. He turned his head just enough to take a look at her face… everything seemed wrong. He thought to himself, “She can’t do this… god I’m an idiot.” As he thought he moved away from her and sighed.
She paused, still laying on her back, in a somewhat compromising position. Quickly, she got up,” I-I’m sorry… W-we can try again-”
She was quickly cut off,” No, no…it’s ok, I should’ve known this was a bad idea”, He paused,” … Micky?”
“Hmm?”
The room fell quiet and there was tension in the air as he began to speak again, “ … Are you… afraid of me?”, the question fell hard, and the mare looked away and closed her eyes.
“ Do you remember the first time we did this sort of thing?…”he asked again,” how did it feel, I know you were under the curse but….”
The room fell silent once again.
“… Are these questions for research purposes?… ,“ she asked in that same soft tone, that sent a slight chill up his spine. “, I suppose you need an answer…sigh…”
“ Well, in all honesty, that first time… is something I refuse to acknowledge. The curse made me do what had happened, I had no real control. And though I could feel everything and see everything, it was like I was paralyzed… I-I was terrified the whole time….”, Micky, who was always strong, always a fighting force seemed to crumble to pieces as she spoke, her voice wavered between irate and dismal,” …and I remember….wanting to stop, but not being able to…not being able to make it s-stop”

Though he was expecting an upsetting answer, the tone and severity in her voice was what hurt the most. He glanced up at her, only to find her covering her face in her pink jacket.
“M-micky….” He said while gently cradling her in his arms, she only shuttered more,”…Micky, you don’t have to be scared of….that…ever happening again. You’re already basically immune to the curse like Lavender-”
“I’m not immune to it, neither is Lavender. I just found a spell that would lessen the effect of the curse to a point…enough that you could be around us and not have to have a force field up constantly”, she muttered softly, as she shifted in his arms. “Advanced magic,…. right” he thought quietly to himself. Soon the room fell silent once more. It was calm, peaceful even. They both lay there together, in each other’s arms. This was one of few times Swift saw something he’d thought he’d never see, Micky was asleep…but not like how she was when she would nap in the lab. She seemed at ease…happy. And just as she did Swift dozed off with her…

.
The peace didn’t last long. Swift was hastily pulled out of his dream world by the cries of the mare that laid beside him. He had only needed to glance for a second to know what was going on. A bright, blinding aurora came from her eyes, and she was crying so much…it nearly sounded like she couldn’t breath.
“ M-MICKY?! …A-ARE YOU OK?!”, he yelled, still dazed but concerned. But Micky couldn’t hear him or anything at that, she was in too much pain to even think.,” Micky! ..are you hurt?!…are you scared?!…Micky!?…” nothing was getting through, none of his words. The aurora only grew, now it was taking control of her magic. As she cried in pain things like books were thrown around the room, her magic going full haywire causing what looked like lightning. Swift was running out of options to calm her down and snap her out of the nightmare that was causing this.
Swift didn’t know what else to do, he grasped her in his arms and held her in a tight embrace. Her body was hot…searing hot…as if she was engulfed in flame, it burned just to hold her. But he didn’t care, he just wanted her to stop hurting, he closed his eyes and nuzzled the mare. Her breathing calmed down, still crying but calmly. The maical outbursts weakened till they stopped all together, making several books fall to the ground. The aruror that spilled from her eyes dimmed to a soft glow. Swift still held her tight, the burning cooled as well. Once the soft glow in her eye went away it seemed she was actually awake.
“…Swift…whats with the tight hugs?,” she paused and looked around the room, books and writing quills were thrown all over the place,” Swift what happened?…”
He looked up at her trying to keep a smile, he still clung to her, holding her tight in his arms., “heh….just, ‘Glowy Eyes.” She looked at him concerned…
“I had a nightmare,…It must’ve triggered my magic to go crazy…wait, how could you manage holding me?…I literally burn when I’m channeling that much pure magic” she asked while instinctively nuzzling into the side of his neck. He blushed bright red and shuttered at the sensation.
“I don’t know really…..love finds a way”, he said and kissed her forehead.
