Episode 2 - Just Like Rainbow Dash

“Ok Radiant flying is as simple as walking.” Rainbow says wearing a striped referee hat and a whistle around her neck. “All ya gotta do is lean forward stick your backend up in the air, run, jump, and begin flapping your wings as hard as you can.” She says as she demonstrates the process. She flies through the air zooming through clouds before landing in front of me. “Ok now you try.” She says slapping me on the shoulder.

“Ok lean forward, backend up, run, and jump.” I say to myself as I charge down the road as I jump and begin straining my wings. I get a few feet in the air before crashing into a hay bale. Rainbow falls on her back laughing hysterically. I simply look at her and narrow my eyes. She notices and laughs nervously and rubs the back of her head.

“Heh, sorry about that dude but hey that was a good start though. Alright that's get up and try this again.” She says blowing her whistle as I get back into position. I calm my mind and take several deep breathes. I step back and charge as hard as I can before jumping again. I get high in the air and begin flapping my wings furiously as I fly in zig zags, loops, and upside down. Rainbow looks up at me with her mouth agape. I dive-bomb and zoom past her as I turn around and land next to her.

“How...was...that Rainbow Dash?” I ask breathing heavily as sweat drips from my brow. Rainbow shakes her before taking off her whistle and cap.

“That’s was very impressive. Not as impressive as me but pretty darn close. Trust me Rookie if you can learn to pace your breathing better you will one day be fast enough to beat me.” Rainbow says pointing her hoof at her chest before showing off and flying at supersonic speeds. I lower my head and frown as my ears flop as i watch her with a deadpan expression on my face.

“My names Radiant Sword not rookie Rainbow Dash.” I say in a deadpan voice.

“Don’t let her get to ya sugarcube, that pony loves to gloat.” Applejack says as she walks up next to me slapping me on my back with her hoof. “Besides I need you in tip top shape if yer gonna help me and Big Mac with the apple orchards.” I stand up and begin walking with Applejack as we wave goodbye to Rainbow. “Ok Radiant do you know how to properly buck a tree?” Applejack said as we continued our walk to Sweet Apple Acres.

“Ya it seems pretty simple. Just ground myself with my front legs, jump my back legs up and kick the tree with both hooves as hard as I can, and boom the apples fall into the bucket.” You say as Applejack stops and shakes her head in disbelief.

“Well, I’ll be, ya hit the nail on the head there Rad.” Applejack says catching up to you.

“Rad?” I say raising an eyebrow in confusion.

Applejack giggles. at my facial expression. “It’s the nickname I’m giving you. Kinda like how I call Twilight Twi sometimes.” She says as we head down the dirt road and see Sweet Apple Acres in the distance.

“Ok ya that kinda makes sense I guess.” Applejack and I head over to the barn to meet Big Mac

As we head to the barn I begin to take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the farm. My mind quickly drifts to thoughts of the farms back on earth. Applejack looks over noticing my astonishment and chuckles.

“This farm is pretty amazing isn’t it? Sweet Apple Acres has been providing for Ponyville ever since I can remember.” Once in the barn I’m greeted by the sight of a large red stallion with a long brown mane and a half apple on his flank. “Radiant I’d like you to meet my brother Big Macintosh.” AJ says as Big Mac Turns around to face me.

“Hey there Big Mac it’s nice to meet you.” I say sticking out my hoof waiting for a hoof shake.

“Eeyup.” He says shaking my hoof before handing me a few crates. “Applejack are you ready to go.” He says walking out of the barn.

“I sure am, how about you Rad/” Applejack says taking her crates and heading out after Big Mac as I run behind them to catch up.

“Hey wait for me guys.” I say following them to the orchard. Once there we lay down our crates and begin to buck the apple trees. After a few minutes Applejack is already done filling her third crate. Meanwhile, I’m only on my second.

“C’Mon Rad you ain’t getting tired on me are ya.” Applejack yells showing off her crates of apples. I soon get flashbacks to what happened earlier with Rainbow Dash. I take a deep breath before kicking it into high gear and start bucking two trees a second. After only a few minutes I finish my fifth crate before Applejack finishes her fourth. I stop to catch my breath as Big Mac and Applejack finish up.

“How’s…that…for tired…Applejack.” I say in between breaths as I fall on my stomach exhausted. I stand up and throw my crates on my back and haul them to the barn.

“That is, one competitive pony.” Big Mac says as he and Applejack carry their haul to the barn as well. Applejack laughs at the statement.

“It’s like we have a second Rainbow Dash. Well, a less boastful Rainbow Dash.” She says rolling her eyes and giggling. They walk into the barn and see me passed out on a bale of hay sleeping. “Yup he even sleeps like Rainbow Dash. Sprawled out and drooling everywhere.” Applejack kicks the banister next to me as an apple falls on my head. “Time to wake up there sugarcube. You still have to go meet Apple Bloom and her friends.” She says as I wake up rubbing my head.

“How long was I out?” I say in a sluggish sleepy tone.

“Only a couple of minutes, now go Apple Bloom is waiting for you at her clubhouse near the back of the farm.” Applejack says pointing at the small treehouse. I stand up and stretch before walking on over. Once there I knock on the door and wait. After a few seconds the door opens.

“Well, hi there you must be the pony mah sister was talking about.” Apple Bloom as she steps aside to let me in. I duck and squeeze into the cramped clubhouse and find a spot on the floor and sit down. “Girls this is the pony mah sis told me about he’s a blank flank just like us.” Her friends look at me in amazement. “Mah sister says we should let him join the crusaders. After all if we have a big strong adult with us we will be able to do more activates and earn our Cutie Marks faster.”

“I don’t know Apple Bloom are you sure he is cool enough to join us?” Scootaloo says pointing at me.

“Well, mah sister did tell me that Rainbow Dash taught him how to fly.” Scootaloo’s eyes light up as she jumps to her feet in excitement.

“You trained with Rainbow Dash. That’s so awesome. What was it like?” The little orange filly says with sparkles in her eyes.

“Well, it was pretty painful. I learned to fly but I couldn’t fly faster than Rainbow though.” I say shuffling my wings.

“Of course you couldn’t beat her Rainbow Dash is greatest pony in Ponyville.” Scootaloo says pointing to a signed Rainbow Dash poster on the far wall.

“Well, that would explain her large ego.” Besides, I to myself and chuckle.

“Wait if you’re an adult how come you had to learn how to fly. I thought pegasi learn to fly when there fillies?” Sweetie Bell asks glaring at you.

“Well, IWell, you see I’m an Alicorn. I have the magic of a unicorn but I can also fly like a Pegasus. To put it simply my dad was a unicorn and my mother was a Pegasus.” I say quickly pulling an excuse out of my ass.

All three fillies gasp in amazement. “That’s so awesome.” Scootaloo says.

“So, you’re also a unicorn like my sister.” Sweetie Bell says jumping up and down.

“Who is your sister Sweetie Bell?” I say with a puzzled look on my face.

“Rarity is my Big sister.” Sweetie says with a smile on her face. A look of surprise makes its way onto my face.

“Oh that’s cool. I’ve actually met Rarity before. When I was at Twilights house studying she brought all her friends over to introduce themselves. That’s also how I met your sister Apple Bloom.” I say pointing out the window to Applejack.

“Wow Radiant you’re so cool.” Scootaloo says smiling. “Will you please join our group? Please.” Apple Bloom says begging and making an adorable face.

“Oh God cuteness overload.” I say to myself before letting out a deep sigh and I give them a big smile. “Sure let’s earn our cutie marks together girls.” I say as the four of us high five. We spend a good portion of the evening talking about Cutie Marks, our favorite foods, and ways we can earn our cutie marks. Soon it gets dark and the four of us leave the clubhouse and I decide to walk Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell home. As we walked through the now empty town the two fillies asked me question after question about things I used to do. In a way it felt like I had three little sisters of my own. Make no mistake though these little fillies are growing on me pretty quickly. Once dropped off I yawn and head back to Twilights house. I begin to think about home and my friends. “Ya know things aren’t so bad here. Maybe being stuck her for now won’t be such a bad thing.” I think to myself as I turn the corner and continue walking. Just then the sound of music hits me. On the surface it sounded like the music I use to listen back home.

“Is that Dubstep?” I think to myself as I follow the vibrations of the base and the flashing lights. After a few minutes I come across a house with strobe lights flashing inside and the music was pounding in my ears from behind the door and on the door was a vinyl record. Huh I wonder who lives here.” I say to myself as I knock on the door. After a few minutes of waiting no one answers the door. Tired from today’s hard work I wave it off and head home. “I’ll come by tomorrow.” I say yawning. I open the door and step inside the tree. Once inside I see Spike sitting at the table eating a plate of gems.

“Oh hey Radiant welcome home how was your day?” Spike says waving to me before stuffing more gems into his mouth.

“Ok Spike I have several questions. Where did you get those gems and why are you eating them?” I say putting my saddle bag and collapse on a nearby beanbag chair.

“Rarity gave them to me as a way of saying thank you for helping go gem hunting today.” He says continuing to eat the stones.

“I would ask why she needed gems but then I remembered she is the town fashionista.” I say pulling a book off the shelf with my magic.

“How did you know she was the town fashionista?” Spike says finishing off the plate.

“Well, they hung out with the Cutie Mark Crusaders today and her little sister was telling me all about Rarity and her boutique. Third question; where is Twilight?” I say turning the pages to find where I left off.

“She said something about spending the night with Fluttershy.” Spike says joining me on the beanbag chair. “What book is that?” Spike asks pointing at the book floating in front of me.

“It’s a book on magic. When I was bucking trees with Aj today I got this urge to become as good as Twilight and her friends. So, during the day I’m gonna practice flying so I can beat Rainbow Dash and at night I’m gonna study magic so I can become as good as Twilight. I guess you can say I’m turning into Rainbow Dash.” You say as you and Spike share a laugh. “Oh ya you never told me why you were eating gems?” I say defogging my memory

“Oh right I forgot you’re not from Equestria. Well they're basically like candy to dragons.” Spike says rubbing his stomach.

“Ok that actually makes a lot of sense.” I say going back to my book. After an hour or two of reading I’m interrupted by the sound of Spike snoring. “Poor little guy he didn’t stand a chance.” I say laughing as you pick him up with your magic and put him to bed. Once he is good and comfortable in his little basket you decided to get some sleep yourself. How you managed to stay awake this long is still a mystery. I get into bad and fall asleep shortly after my head hits the pillow.

I wake the next morning fully rested and recharged. I stand up and stretch as I shake my wings and head downstairs. “Hey Twilight I’m heading out for a few hours.” I say packing my saddle bag with some supplies to keep me hydrated.

“Oh do you have plans this morning?” Twilight says putting down her quill and walking over to her bookshelves.

“Ya I was gonna go work on my flying some more with Rainbow. Why did you have a job for me?” I say putting my bag down.

“No I actually wanted to see if you would like to go to Canterlot with me. I have to deliver some books to Princess Celestia and I figured you could give her your first letter in person.” She says pointing to the quill and ink on the table.

“Ya know what I have all day to train. Ah why the hell not let's go.” I say putting my saddle bag on as me and Twilight head out the door and toward the hot air balloons. “Hey wait Twilight there is something I’ve wanted to try out. I’ve been reading about teleportation I bet I could teleport us to Canterlot.” I say as my horn glows. Twilight laughs falling on her back. “Hey don’t life I’ve been studying my magic in my downtime.” I say scrunching my muzzle and crossing my hooves.

“I’m sorry Radiant I didn’t mean to laugh but I think you are in over your head. Teleportation is very advanced magic. It takes months to learn and years to perfect. I highly doubt you would be able to get both of us to-“ I grab Twilight and throw her on my back and fly up in the air she holds on to my neck for dear life. My horn glows heavily as a loud pop is heard and we disappear. A few seconds later we appear right in front of the castle as I fly down land on my hooves.

“See…Twilight…I told you I can do it.” I say with a confident smile on my face.

“Wha…I…how did…how did you manage to do that?” Twilight says both impressed and shocked.

“Like I told you before Twilight in my downtown I’ve done nothing but study and practice my magic. I’m just a fast learner.” I say panting “Now, comeNow, let’s go inside and see the Princess.

Twilight’s eye twitches as she tries to wrap her head around what just happened. “Forget it let's go.” Twilight says defeated. As we walk through the massive castle I talk to twilight and tell her everything that happened yesterday all while taking in the stunning décor of the castle. We make our way up the stairs and eventually end up at the door to the throne room. Twilight tells the guards she is her to deliver some books to the Princess and they let us in. Once inside we approach the throne and bow before the Princess.

“Twilight, Radiant it's good to see you both again so soon. I take it twilight brought the books.” Princess Celestia says to me as I rise.

“Yes ma’am. She wanted me to come along so I could give you the first lesson I learned in person.” I say as my horn glows silver.

“Fantastic. So, thank me Radiant, What have you learned today?” Celestia asks with a soft smile. I think a few seconds before figuring it out.

“Well I learned that no matter how much experienced your friends then you. As long you pace yourself and work hard you’ll be able to surpass even the most skilled of friends.” I say looking at Twilight and smiling. Twilight smiles back as she hands the books to the Princess and turn around and walk out of the throne room. “Hey Twilight I wanna thank you…for everything.” I say as she stops in her tracks.

“Thank me for what?” twilight asks confused. I smile and walk up close to her.

“Well, you a day ago I was a mysterious creature lost in an unknown land and you and friends have changed me from a lost creature to one of Princess Celestia's pupils. I thought for sure this place was going to be hell but you and your friends changed that. So thank you for being so kind to me, you, and your friends.” I say as twilight blushes with embarrassment.

“Well you’re very welcome Radiant. Now come on let's go home so I can go meet Rainbow Dash. After all what kinda Alicorn would I be if I had all this magic but can barely fly for more than a few seconds?” I say as put my hoof around Twilight and zap us to Ponyville. Once home we head inside the house laughing.

Episode 3 - A Fashionable Partnership

“Where has that pony gone now?” I say walking through Ponyville looking for Rainbow Dash. I swear if that pony is sleeping on a cloud I’m gonna give her a rude awakening.” I say to myself as I take to the skies. “Well that pretty easy. I must be getting better at this already.” I say to myself with a confident smile as I fly through the sky looking for Rainbow. After a few minutes of searching I land near the schoolhouse. Finally, after all the searching I see Rainbow sleeping on a nearby cloud. “I knew it. Does that pony ever do anything other than sleep in her free time?” I say as I shoot into the sky and stealthily take a thunder cloud and place it near Rainbows head. I count to three and kick the cloud letting out a loud boom. Rainbows eyes shoot open as she jumps in the air screaming. I fall back on a cloud laughing hysterically as she crashes into the side of a tree. “Wakey wakey Rainbow.” I say as I continue laughing.

“What the hay Radiant. You scare…I mean you surprised me.” Rainbow says blushing with embarrassment. I continue to laugh before floating in the air and whipping the tears from my eye. Rainbow glares at me for a few before smirking. “I’ll get you back for that.” Rainbow says getting ready to fly.

“Gotta catch me first Rainbow.” I say as I fly away as fast as I can.

“Wow he’s improved. This should be fun.” Rainbow says as she zooms after me. Rainbow soon catches up to me. After a few seconds Rainbow and I are soon flying neck and neck. She smirks before rocketing past me not wanting to let her win I pace myself and speed up. We continue to pass one another for several minutes before we both land on the ground below. We stop for a few seconds and catch to catch our breath before racing back into the sky. We continue to race through the skies zooming through Ponyville. “How are able to keep up with me Radiant? Yesterday you could only last for a few minutes.” Rainbow says keeping pace with me.

“Simple Rainbow, when I was working with Applejack I realized that if I pace myself then I can maintain stamina and fly longer and faster. Plus I studied some of Twilights books for tips on flying. This is the result of my hard work.” I say as my wings fly faster as the air around me bends.

“Is he seriously gonna try that.” Rainbow says as she slows down in disbelief. I fly faster as I cause three sonic booms simultaneously causing everypony in Ponyville to rush out and watch the sky. I fly up in the air and with on last Sonic Boom as I bust through a big flash of white light covers Ponyville as I land on my feet a few inches away from Rainbow panting heavily.

“You were right Rainbow…Someday I was gonna become better than you…and that day is today. You have your Sonic Rainboom and I think I’ll call my stunt a Solar Flare. Don’t feel bad Rainbow, it’s because of you I was able to achieve this. If you hadn't of pushed me to try and surpass you. This never would've happened.” I say smiling at Rainbow. I walk up to her and hug her. “Thanks Coach.” I say as I break the hug.

“I knew it. I knew I was an awesome pony but now I’m an awesome coach.” Rainbow says quickly switching back to her cocky self. A Mint Green pony approaches me with an excited look on her face. The mare introduced herself as Lyra Hearthstrings.

“That was amazing who taught you how to do that awesome move?” She asks awestruck over my new move.

“It wasn't that awesome, but it was Rainbow Dash who taught it to me.” I say pointing to her as the crowd forms around her asking her all sorts of questions and feeding her already massive ego. I decided to let Rainbow have her moment. After all I did steal the title “The Best Pony in Ponyville” away from her so I figured it was only right to give it back to her. After all I never liked being the center of attention. I take a short cut and stop by the lake and take a breather and lay in the sun. The sun beats down on my soft gray skin as a simply sigh and relax. Back home I loved going to the beach and living in beach towns. The lacked the enticing smells of saltwater and ocean breeze but the sun and the hot sand quickly made up for it. After laying there for a few I decide that a nice nap after today’s rather intense flight training. I lay there and close my eyes falling asleep shortly after. After an hour or so I wake up to a rather depressing site. Dark rain clouds have moved in covering up the once bright sun. The smell of rain was coursing through the breeze that has now intensified. “This makes no sense me and Rainbow cleared the skies during our little race.” I thought to myself as a loud boom of thunder rolls in startling me. I quickly jump up and run back to Twilights house. Flying would have been easier but I wasn't comfortable flying during a thunderstorm. I quickly get to the treehouse and rush through the door breathing heavily as I drip with water.

“Oh Radiant your back how was your flight session with Rainbow Dash?” Twilight says not paying any attention to the weather outside. “Why are you soaking wet?” She asks getting me a towel.

“You don’t see the clouds…outside?” I say confused as I look out the window and see the skies clear and sunny. “There was a thunderstorm outside just a few seconds ago.” I say slightly annoyed before something hits the door scaring me half to death. Twilight opens the door to find Rainbow Dash laughing hysterically on her doorstep.

“Told you I would get you back for that thunder cloud prank.” She says as she continues to laugh. Meanwhile, I get up from under a pile of books that fell on me when I crashed into the shelf. I dust myself off and begin putting the books back on the shelf. Rainbow Dash gets up on her feet and wipes the tears from her eyes as she walks into the house.

“Ok well now that that’s over, to answer your question Twilight the training went great I actually beat Rainbow Dash. On top of that I made my own Sonic Rainboom type move called a Solar Flare.” Twilight sits down pouring us all some tea as she takes a seat with us at the table. “Oh hey twilight on a completely unrelated topic, have you seen Pinkie Pie? I haven’t seen her since you brought everyone here to meet me.” I say drinking my tea.

“Last time I checked she said something about going to a baking contest with The Cakes.” Twilight says drinking her tea.

“The Cakes, as in like confection cakes?” I say confused.

“No The Cakes own Sugarcube Corner where Pinkie lives and works.” Twilight says pointing out the window to Sugarcube Corner. “That reminds me Rarity asked me to tell you that she wants you to come by her shop today. She said something about offering you a job.” Twilight says as she writes down directions on how to get to Rarity’s Boutique.

“Alright well I’m gonna go freshen up before I head over.” I say as I head into the bathroom and turn on the shower.

“So, did he really beat you or did you let him win?” Twilight whispers to Rainbow.

“Of course I let him win. No one can beat me and you know that Twilight.” Rainbow says sweating and laughing nervously as she looks around the room avoiding eye contact with Twilight. “Although the Solar Flare thing was awesome, not as awesome as my Sonic Rainboom but it was pretty close.” Rainbow says quickly gaining back her cocky demeanor. “Regardless he has nailed flying so now he can start settling down here.” Rainbow said drinking her tea.

“Yes I’ve talked with Princess Celestia and we still haven’t found a way for him to return home. The way it looks now it seems that Radiant will be here for a long time if not forever. What still baffles me is how he got here. If his arrival here was caused by Discord then why has nothing else happened? If Discord has awakened was has he not caused a single bit of chaos. It just doesn’t make sense.” Twilight says with a troubled look on her face. “None of this makes any sense.” Rainbow puts her hooves behind her head and lies back on a pillow on the floor.

“Don’t stress yourself out Twilight. I’m sure there is a reason behind all of this.” Rainbow says waving her arm dismissing Twilight's worries. I come out of the bathroom squeaky clean. And grab my saddle bags.

“Alright girls I’ll see you later.” I say waving by as I head down the road following Twilight’s directions. On my way to the Boutique I walk by that house from the other night. The flashing lights and thumping bass have stopped and the house is dark. “I should really introduce myself to whoever is in there.” I say doubling my steps so I can get to my destination quickly. As I trot away a white unicorn with electric blue hair comes out of the boutique.

“Hey thanks for the new goggles Rarity.” The unicorn says walking out as we cross paths. “Oh hey wassup bro are you new to Ponyville?” She asks in a rather rugged voice much like Rainbow’s.

“Ya I just got here like two days ago.” I say looking down at the pony.

“Cool well hope we see each other again sometime. I’m Vinyl Scratch by the way.” She says sticking out her hoof as we shake.

“Ok sure.” I say as we go our separate ways. “What an odd pony.” I say to myself as I enter the boutique. “Rarity I’m here. Twilight said you had a job proposal for me.” I say taking in the gorgeous shop accompanied by the masterfully crafted outfits that decorate the shop windows.

“Up here darling I’ll be down in just a second. Make yourself at home.” She yells down to me as I walk over and sit on a nearby purple love seat. Noticing a few fashion magazines on the table next to me I decide to pick on up and flip through the book. After a few minutes of reading Rarity comes downstairs carrying a bunch of boxes.

“Here rarity let me help you with that.” I say levitating half of the boxes for her. She makes it to the last step before putting the boxes down in the corner. I put my boxes in the corner as well.

“Thank you darling. I see Twilight has taught you how to use magic pretty well.” She says rummaging through the boxes pulling the fabrics out of the boxes.

“Actually I taught myself mainly Twilight gave me the basics I just studied all the books she had on magic. I was even able to teleport me and her to Canterlot within seconds.” I say with a confident smile on my face. “Heck I even beat Rainbow Dash in a flying race.” I say helping her put the fabric spools on the shelves.

“My word that’s quite impressive.” Rarity says as she opens another box. Pulling out more fabric spools. "So how can i help you today Radiant." Rarity says putting the fabric in its corresponding slots.

“Well, Twilight said you had a job offer for me?” I say as I continue to help unpack boxes.

“Oh yes of course dear. I'm sorry I was so caught up with moving this fabric that I completely forgot all about the job offer. Well, as of late my shop has been gaining some more attention thanks to a fashion show that was held here not too long ago. So, all intake of orders has been growing and I require a partner and personal assistant. So I’m prepared to train you on how to properly sew and tailor clothing for ponies. Also I will require you to grab me supplies, run errands, and deliver orders.” Rarity says as we finish the last box.

“Say no more Rarity I’d be glad to help. However, I already know how to sew and Tailor thanks to my mother back home. So all I need is a full rundown on how to get ponies measurements along with their body anatomy and I can join you within a day or two.” I say setting my saddle bags down by the door.

“Darling that fantastic that will give us more time to work on orders now if you could take a seat over there I will take your measurements as a demonstration and make you a outfit for you to wear. After all when working with a fashionista like me we can’t afford to have you naked now can we.” She says sitting you down as she goes to get her supplies.

“Why does it matter if I’m naked or not everypony around me is naked?” I think to myself in confusion. “I mean I don’t mind wearing clothes as a pony, but is that necessary especially when the fashionista herself is naked like ninety percent of the time. It’s gonna take me a long time to fully understand this crazy new world.” I say to myself as I let out a deep sigh. Rarity comes back with her measuring tape and other knick knacks. I stand still as she measures each portion of my body and explains what to do with that part of the outfit. After a few minutes I begin to develop a deeper understanding of pony anatomy. Rarity continues to measure me before clapping her hooves together signaling for me to follow over to a stage surrounded by mirrors. She begins to explain how to tailor a ponies clothing as she makes my new outfit; A three piece suit with strapped shoes. A little to formal for me but I’m not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Once finished I step down from the stage and strut my new outfit around. I look over to see Rarity practically beaming at her hard work before she gives me a grimaced look. “Oh no, no, no the pants and suit jacket are too much.” She says as I get back on the stage. She removes the pants and suit jacket and replaces them with a gray button up undershirt with a black vest. “There we go that looks so much better.” Rarity said pleased with her new outfit idea. “Ok now that we got that out of the way let’s start working on some orders.” She says with a wink. I step down and join her at the counter as we start sewing. We continue to talk for hours as we sew, slowly getting to know each other on a personal level. After all if I’m gonna be stuck in this world for a while I might as well get know Twilight's friends on a personal basis. Soon the conversation shifted to talking about Sweetie Bell. We began to laugh as Rarity goes on and on about Sweetie Bell and her friends adventures. You bring up the fact that Sweetie Bell, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo made you a member of the CMC. She just laughs at her sister's cute antics.

“Oh darling you have no idea what you’re in for. Those three fillies are crazy.” Rarity says with a giggle as she finishes her set of orders before hopping down from her chair. “Are you hungry darling I can make us something to eat while you finish up that suit?” She says heading for the kitchen.

“That sounds good Rarity thank you.” I say as I finish my orders. “There we go all done for today.” I say putting the clothes in there packaging and I turn off my sewing machine. I take a seat at the table as rarity and I continue to talk as she cooks. I help set the table as I get out the wine she so kindly asked me to grab for her out of her cabinet. After I finish setting the table I pour the wine into the glasses as Rarity puts the food on our plates. She sits down at the table as I pick the wine glass with my magic. “A toast to hard day’s work and to a new partnership.” I say as we clink our glasses together and eat. We continue to talk throughout dinner.

Meanwhile in another part of Equestria.

“That’s it Radiant keep getting comfortable with citizens of Ponyville. You've carried out my plans perfectly even better you have no idea what’s going on. To you and the Elements your arrival here seems like bad luck. However, it is not just simple bad luck. No my dear human this is not simple bad luck.” The figure says shrouded in shadows. “Soon my doomed human all will become clear to you. Once that happens I will use you to take over Equestria.” The figure says laughing as their eyes flash green.

Back in Equestria Rarity and I finish our dinner and say our goodbyes as I grab my saddle bags and head out the door. Feeling confident about my new life I decide to trot home with a rather happy skip in my step. After all it’s not every day that a beautiful fashionista makes you dinner and a new outfit after offering you a high paying job. Every minute you spend in this crazy yet amazing world makes you miss home less and less. Although in the back of my mind I still long to see my friends and family but do to the circumstances given to me I know that’s just not possible. “Maybe some tea with Spike and Twilight will help me take my mind off my home.” I think to myself as I rush back to the library.

Episode 4 - Bittersweet Memories

“Dear Celestia is it cold out.” Radiant says as he pulls his scarf over his muzzle. “I’ll be so happy come winter wrap up time.” He continues to say as he meets Twilight and her friends at Sugarcube Corner. Radiant turn the knob with his horn and walked inside kicking off his booties and his scarf. He walks upstairs to Pinkie’s Room and knocks on the door.

“Who is it?” Pinkie says in a joking tone.

“Muffin Man.” Radiant replies in a sarcastic tone. Pinkie trots towards the door and opens it letting Radiant into her room.

“Hey girls. What’s everypony up to?” Radiant says setting down his saddle bags as he walks over and sits on a pillow.

“Oh nothing we just thought it would be nice to hang out and chat. Twilight says drinking some of her cocoa.

“Plus it's snowing outside which is perfect for some Super Chocolaty Pinkie Pie Hot Chocolate.” Pinkie says as she points to the kettle of hot cocoa on the floor next to her. She gets a cup and pours a mug full for Radiant. “Here you gotta try it.” Pinkie says putting a few marshmallows in it. Radiant stops for a second.

“Do any of them know what one of the ingredients in marshmallows is?” Radiant thought to himself as he remembers reading an article on how most marshmallows are made with horse hooves. “Dear Celestia I hope they're made of something different here.” Radiant says gulping.

“Everything ok Sugarcube?” Applejack says taking a sip of the hot beverage. Radiant Smiles and drinks the hot cocoa.

“Ya just a sore throat from the cold.” He says reaching for his saddle bag pulling out a book.

“What’s that?” Twilight asks looking over Radiants shoulder in curiosity.

“Oh this it’s just a first hand account of my life in Equestria.” Radiant says showing off the book.

“So, a diary basically.” Rainbow says with a smirk as Radiant blushes in embarrassment.

“No not like a diary.” He says putting the book back into his bag. The girls all laugh as they drink and talk long into the evening. It was a fun time for all and Radiant even got to tell everyone more about himself. Not that they didn’t already a lot about him but he shared some secrets with them. Later into the night Pinkie comes up with the idea to have a sleepover. Naturally the girls all say yes. Radiant thinks about it for a few seconds before he agreed to join in. Pinkie cheers as she somehow makes confetti fall from the ceiling. At this point Radiant realizes that trying to figure out Pinkie Pie is like putting out water with fire, it just can’t be done.

They continue to chat and play games before Applejack grabs Radiant’s attention.

“Hey Radiant can I ask you a favor?” Applejack says kicking the ground gently with her hoof. “I was wondering if you could help me out tomorrow. I need to take a few supplies to my cousins in Appleloosa.” She continues to say as she stretches out before lying down.

“Depends, what supplies are we taking?” Radiant asks as he does the same.

“Just some ,wood, nails, and steel. We just gotta load the cart onto the train and then once we're in Appleloosa we just gotta take it to my cousin Braeburns farm. It’s usually warm around this time of year there so it should be a nice change of pace.” Radiant puts a hoof on his chin and thinks for a few seconds.

“Sure why not as long as it gets me out of this infernal cold.” Radiant says shaking his hoof at a nearby window. Applejack and the girls laugh as they settle down and soon fall asleep. Applejack and Radiant wake up bright and early the next day as they pack the essentials for there trip. Once packed up the two ponies head to Sweet Apple Acres to pick up the cart of supplies. On the way there they chat and talk about Appleloosa and what Braeburn is like. After a few minutes they finally arrive and head to the barn and grab the cart. Naturally being the chivalrous pony that he is Radiant offered to pull the cart to the train station. Applejack thanked him with a slight blush on her cheeks as Radiant began pulling the cart down the dirt road. After a few hours they finally reach the train station at around noon. Loading the cart into the train Radiant closes the gate and locks it before turning to Applejack giving her the ok and they board the train and take their seats.

“I gotta say Radi for an Alicorn you got a nice amount of strength behind you.” Applejack says looking out the window.

“Well, what can I say between using my wings, training with Rainbow Dash, and helping you out on the farm as really helped me bulk up. Not to mention the increased stamina makes magic so much easier.” Radiant says as his horn glows opening up his saddle bag as he pulls out two apples. “Here ya go Aj eat up you’ll need it for when we get to Appleloosa.” he hands her the apple as she takes it in her mouth with one big bite nearly taking Radiants hoof with it. Radiant jerks his hoof back in fear.

Applejack giggles as she swallows the apple. “My bad.” she says going back to the window. As the day went on Radiant yawned and began to feel tired. With a couple more hours left until they arrive in Appleloosa he closes his eyes for a few to take a quick nap. As he lays back and rests her feel a warm weight fall on his shoulder. Curious he opened one eye only to have a warm blush wash over his face. Applejack had fallen asleep leaning on his shoulder. Her soft snores and soft expression made a smile grow across his face as he closed his eyes and let her sleep. After all waking Applejack up is a good way to get the shit kicked out of you. On a separate part of the train a mysterious shrouded figure sits in one of the seats using her magic to spy on Radiant.

“That's it Radiant get some sleep. After all you're gonna need it your strength in Appleloosa.” The mare says with a soft evil laugh. Her eyes flash red as black static accumulates around her horn. The train slows to a crawl before stopping and blowing its horn. Radiant looks over at Applejack who is teal laying on his shoulder as she opens her eyes.

“Have a good nap Aj?” Radiant said with a chuckle before Apple jack shoots up off the seat looking away with a deep red blush on her face.

“I...uh was in a deep sleep that's all.” Applejack says trying to cover up her growing feelings for Radiant. “This never leaves the train you got that.” she says with the blush still on her face.

“My lips are sealed.” Radiant says as he makes a zipping motion across his muzzle. Radiant and Applejack got to the back car and unload their cart before Applejack pulls the cart out of the train station. The mysterious mare follows the two ponies keeping herself hidden. Applejack gives Radiants directions to the farm as the two continue their journey. They soon turn down a long dirt road as Radiant stops looking behind him.

“Something wrong Sugarcube?” Applejack says stopping to rest.

“Were being followed. Whoever they are they seem to be an extremely skilled unicorn. I picked up on a feeling leaving the station but it disappeared until now. I know you're there come out and show yourself!” Radiant yells at a nearby tree. The hooded mare steps out onto the road as she stared down Radiant. “Who are you and why were you following us?” Radiant asks as he gets his horn ready. Applejack lets go of the cart as she stands by his side.

The mare throws off her cloak revealing a pony with pitch black fur and neon purple mane and menacing red eyes. On her flank was cutie mark resembling a red and green sugar skull. “My name is Shadow Dancer and it's my job to make sure you don’t make it back to Ponyville.” The mare says as she shoots a beam of magic at Radiant as he throws up a shield deflecting the hit.

“Applejack go and get the supplies to the farm. I’ll handle this.” Radiant says as Applejack charges down the road with the crt behind her. The two ponies clash with each thrust as neither one gains any ground in the fight. “I’m impressed. You're much stronger than I anticipated.” Radiant said jumping back to the ground.

“I have to be better than you considering I was hand crafted to kill you.” Shadow Dancer says as she grins revealing sharp dagger like teeth.

“So, you're nothing more then some test tube experiment. How dull and here i was thinking I would be fighting someone who has trained as hard as me. You disappoint me.” Radiant says surprised by his new frightening bravado. His eyes glow bright green as he began shooting bolts of magic from his horn in rapid succession. Shadow dancer glides through the shots until on beams her in the side causing her to tumble onto the ground. “What’s happening to me this isn't like me at all.” Radiant thinks to himself. “Where did all this power and violent urges come from all of a sudden.” he continues to think as the fight rages on. Shadow Dancer lunges at Radiant as she tries to bite him. In the ensuing chaos she rams her horn into Radiants eye as he screams in pain. She jumps back cracking her neck. Radiant stand up with left eye closed shut as blood pools from it. The green flash intensifies as he charge at her shooting bolt after bolt. Shadow Dancer dodges to the best of her ability. As Radiant finds an opening he rams his horn into her barrel as she coughs up blood. “Looks like your master needs to rethink his formula.” Radiant lifts up his head as he lets out a charged blast of magic that tears through Shadow Dancer as he throws her to the ground. She twitches as she coughs up more blood as Radiant returns to normal. Passing out on the ground from exhaustion.

Applejack comes running back with Braeburn and stops as she sees the horror before her. She runs to Radiant as her and Braeburn hoist him into the cart rushing him back to the farm. After a few days Radiant Awakens to see not only Applejack but all of his friends and even Princess Celestia.

“Ugh where am I?” Radiant says in a groggy tone.

“You're in the guest bedroom at Braeburns farm. Now, tell us what happened.” Twilight says worried.

“Well, since we had gotten off the train i had this sneaking suspicion that we were being followed. It disappeared soon after but then once on the dirt road to the farm a mysterious mare named Shadow Dancer appears before me. Sh stood there and said she was handcrafted to kill me.” Radiant said sitting up in bed. “On top of that during the conflict i felt an ever growing need to fight along with an increased volley of battle magic. It was only after this volley appeared that I became super violent.” Radiant groans. Why does the left side of my face hurt so much?” Radiant says shaking his head. Celestia comes foreword.

“During the incident with Shadow Dancer you lost your left eye along with most of your vision in the right eye. I’m having Twilight and Rarity work on making you a pair of glasses to help correct your eyesight. On a more important note i think it’s safe to assume Discord isn’t behind your arrival here nor is he responsible for your transformation. I response to this event I will have you stay at my castle in the infirmary so we can do some blood work and research this volley of magic you talked about. Do not worry no harm will come to you and I’ve invited twilight and her friends to stay at the castle with until it’s time for you to leave. I just have one question for you. Is this the first time you have felt this violent spike before?” Celestia asks as she passes around the bed.

“No your majesty it only happened when Shadow Dancer started using her magic. Apart from that I have been one hundred percent pacifistic towards everything and everyone.” Radiant says lying down on the bed. “Still, who brought me here and why are they trying to kill me?” Radiant asks.

“None of us know Radiant but it is puzzling.” Twilight says jotting down notes on a scroll. “Well, let’s head to Canterlot.” Twilight says leaving the room and heading downstairs to the royal carriage. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy help radiant off the bed as he slowly walks downstairs. Applejack stops Radiant before he turns to face her.

“Why? Why did you send me off by myself. If I had stayed behind I could of watched your back and prevented all this from happening.” Applejack said as she choked back tears. Radiant smiles and hugs her with his remaining strength.

“Because Aj if we both stayed I would’ve ended up hurting you or Shadow Dancer could’ve hurt you. I sent you off to protect you. I couldn’t live with myself if I let something bad happen to one of my best friends.” Radiant heads for the carriage as Applejack follows behind him.

“Ya best friends.” She says in a sad tone as she climbs into the carriage as it flies off. The trip to the castle was long and awkward. Not much talking was done except for the occasional question from Twilight or Celestia. As the carriage landed on the balcony of the castle Celestia showed Radiant to his bedroom in the Infirmary. As he lays in the bed him and his friends begin to chat and laugh, All except for Applejack you was looking out the window. Radiant knew something else was bothering her but he couldn’t put his hoof on it exactly. One thing was for sure it was hurting Radiant seeing his friend in this condition. Nurse Redheart comes in and draws Radiants blood before putting electric pulse patches on Radiants body as Twilight hooks him up to a machine so they can get a read on his DNA to try and pinpoint that surge of power. The night soon approaches as the girls head out to there rooms. As Applejack heads out Radiant calls her over. Reluctant at first Applejack makes her way over to his bed.

“Sit down. Something more is bothering you then just what happened in Appleloosa. What's on your mind Applejack? You can tell me anything.” Radiant said putting his hoof on her shoulder. Applejack finally lets her armor fall as she hugs Radiant tightly crying into his shoulder.

“I’m upset because the thought of losing you was just too much. Radiant I...I...I Love you ok there I said it. Ever since that first day on the farm I’ve been trying to fight back these feelings but they only increased the more time I spent with you. I would’ve said something sooner but I know that the minute things get serious you’ll end up going back to your world.” Radiant puts his arm around her and holds her close. “I just don’t wanna be without you. I don’t care if it takes years for you to say you love me. I just wanna be with you so badly.” Radiant sighs deeply as he looks into Applejacks eyes.

“What if I chose to stay here in Equestria.” Radiant says as Applejack looks up at him confused.

“But I thought you wanted to return home to your friends and family?” Applejack says tears streaming down her cheeks.

“I do miss my home but after everything that's happened in the time I’ve been here I have the strong feeling I’ll never be going home and I’ve slowly but surely accepted that. Now, granted I don’t share the same feelings towards you that you feel towards me but I’d be happy to try and see if those feelings don’t develop. Ok Applejack.” Radiant says drying her eyes. “Now, if you want I can let sleep in the bed with me tonight.” he says with a smile. Radiant lifts the covers as Applejack crawls under it and cuddles up to Radiant. He smiles as he looks up to the ceiling. “Mom, I’m sorry but I won’t be coming back. There is just so much more for me here. Friends, Fun, Adventure, and all kinds of new experiences. Maybe here I can find the happiness that was lost back home.” Radiant thought to himself. As Applejack began to softly snore. “Besides, I feel...natural in my new body. Being an alicorn is an amazing feeling. Plus thanks to magic I can reinvent my life here. Plus there is someone here that not only reminds me of home but she cares for me far more than anyone else.” Radiant continues to think to himself as he closes his eyes. “I think tomorrow I’ll work seeing if I can develop deeper feelings for Applejack.” He says before falling asleep.

The next morning Radiant wakes up to the feeling of nurse Redheart once again taking a sample of his blood before leaving the room. Radiant sits up while trying not to disturb Applejack who is still fast asleep next to him. Radiant gets out of bed and goes over to the outside balcony a he stares off into the horizon of the early morning sun. Radiant thought back to the first day at Sweet Apple Acres and from there he recounted every memory of Applejack. “I do feel the same way. I love her to death but what is stopping me from admitting it? If I have the same feelings then i should say yes but I feel like something is stopping me from admitting it. Could it be I’m just nervous, or is it cause I still think like a human and refuse to show affection and love to a horse.” Radiant says as he grits his teeth.

“Sounds to me like you're having a hard time letting go of the past.” Celestia says as she walks up behind Radiant as she puts her wing over his back and side. “Your heart knows what it wants but your connection to your past life and ideals are holding you back. My Dearest pupil if you really want to stay here and be with Applejack you must learn to forget the human world. I can feel your heart and read your mind they both want the same thing yet they also fight it. I have an idea. After your research is done here I want you to seek out Princess cadence in the Crystal Empire. She maybe able to help you finally let go and embrace your feelings for Applejack.” Celestia says walking out of the room and closing the door behind her as radiant looks out to the horizon once again.

“Princess Cadence of the Crystal Empire. Ya know what it’s worth a shot after all if there is someone who knows ways to help me it’s Princess Celestia. I should talk to Twilight about this later.” Radiant says before walking back to bed as he climbs back in as he looks at Applejack and smiles.

The Next Morning...

“Radiant are you sure about this trip. The Crystal Empire is still a dangerous place to visit, especially by yourself.” Twilight says as she begs me not to go. “I know you're still plagued by your human memories but is erasing your past so important that you would put your own life at risk?” Twilight asks as tears run down her cheeks.

“Twilight you don’t get it. If Cadence can help me with this then that means that I can finally settle down here in Equestria with you, Applejack, and all our friends. Plus after the whole incident with Shadow Striker going home or having memories of home just aren’t sound options anymore.” Radiant says as he nuzzles Twilight's cheek. “I know you're worried about but don’t be. I can take care of myself I’m not the scared pony I used to be you all have changed me.” Radiant puts on his glasses. “Now, I must be off, Celestia said she would Escort me to the outskirts of Ponyville so I can start my journey.” Radiant heads out of the room and heads for the carriage downstairs. “Oh and Twilight I don’t know how long I’ll be gone. Tell Applejack I’m sorry.” Radiant walks into the sunlight before disappearing. The evening sun was shining brightly as Radiant continues to ask Celestia questions about the Crystal Empire. Radiant was scared to begin his journey he has heard the rumors and stories of the dark prince who roams the Icy wastelands but Radiant didn’t care all he wanted was to erase the last of his human memories. Applejacks heart and his magic and wellbeing all depended on it. As the carriage lets him off Celestia throws him a map and some provisions before flashing him a warm smile and flying off into the sky.

Radiant began to walk the path ever so cautiously memorizing the landmarks and the new sites before him. This was the second time he had ever ventured out of Ponyville. As he walks through fields and forests he catches up on reading some books Twilight gave him. Radiant wanted to learn more about magic so he could help defend his new home. Night soon fell and Radiant begins to look for a place to camp for the night. As he walks through the forest he spots a clearing and sets up there. He lays by the fire as he jots down today’s events in his journal. As he was writing he heard the sounds of what appeared to be a small filly in danger. Radiant stood up and began galloping towards the screams. As he rounds a corner he finds a small white unicorn filly with long purple hair and a bow that reminds Radiant of the one Applebloom wears. Upon further inspection it appears she is badly wounded on her back leg. Radiant then sizes up the odd creature closing in on the poor girl. From the outline in the darkness it appeared to be an earth pony not much larger than Radiant.

“Hey leave her alone!” Radiant yells as the figure locks eyes with him and slowly walks out of the shadows. The figure walks into the moonlight as her snow white fur shines and her blonde braider hair falls to her shoulders. On her flank Radiant notices a red pentagram with the skull of a demon on her flank. “Who are you and why were you trying to attack that filly over there? Radiant says as his horn glows silver.

“Oh dear looks like I’ve found me an Alicorn this is very interesting. You know, your kind is surprisingly rare. Where do you come from little colt…” she notices Radiants blank flank and gives off a devilish smile as she walks closer. “You’re not from this world at all are you little colt. Well that’s a relief now I won’t feel bad about killing an Alicorn.” She says as she charges at Radiant with brute strength. The two clash as the little filly runs and hides behind a tree. The two jumps back and breathe heavily. “Well, it seems I misjudged you. Killing you will be so much fun.” She says laughing psychotically as she tries to kick, punch, and head-butt Radiant. Having trouble tracking her speed Radiant begins to panic.

“Damn who is this mare? She can’t be fabricated like Shadow Striker was.” Radiant thinks to himself. “Her moves are too well executed and unpredictable for her to be a blank. This mars the real deal.” Radiant continues to think as he fights back. After a few minutes of defensive tactics Radiant soon spots a week point and blasts her with a powerful bolt of magic. The bolt hits her dead center in the barrel as it slams her against a massive oak tree. The mare falls to the ground and coughs up blood. Radiant walks up to her and casts a healing spell on her.

“I won, know leave this forest and never come back.” Radiant says as he walks away.

“Wait stop.” The white mare says as she stands up causing Radiant to look back at her. “Is that it? You’re not gonna kill me?” She says in a surprised tone.

“No I refuse to kill. I already took one life after that I promised the princess I wouldn’t take another life. No matter how evil they are.” The mare walks closer to Radiant.

“How can you be so blind? What kind of warrior spares an opponent that tried to kill them let alone harm an innocent child? Now, come back here and finish the job dammit.” The mare yells at him as he continues to walk away.

“Shut up you little fool!” Radiant snaps back as the mare looks at him. “I don’t care where you’re from or who you are or why you attacked me I will not kill you. Oh and I’m no warrior I’m just an Alicorn from Ponyville who is on a very important journey. So, please stop being a foolish child and leave the forest. I have to go find that filly that you were terrorizing.” Radiant turns his back on her and walks away in search of the purple maned filly.

“Just an Alicorn from Ponyville, how is that possible when he doesn’t even have a cutie mark?” she says to herself as she thinks back to their heated fight. “On top of that his movements were masterful and his magic seemed unlimited. I need to follow this pony there is something more he isn’t telling me and I intend to find out what.” She says as she quietly follows Radian through the forest. As Radiant makes his way back to his campsite he finds the white filly lying by his fire crying and shaking with fear. Radiant snaps a twig by accident causing the filly to shoot up onto her hooves and limp into the tent in fear.

“It’s ok little one I’m not here to harm you I just wanna help.” He says as he climbs into the tent. Scared beyond belief the filly closes her eyes and flinches as Radiant raises his hoof. She stops and opens her eyes to see a warm smile from Radiant as he rubs her back. “Hey now it’s ok little one I’m not going to hurt you. Now, let’s take a look at that leg of yours.” Radiant says as the filly sticks out her hind leg. The gash was deep and was starting to get infected. Acting quickly Radiant went to work using his magic and his first aid knowledge. “There we go it should be all better by morning. Are you hungry little one?” Radiant asks as the fill smiles and nods.

“Yes please.” She says in a tone that was an identical mixture of Fluttershy’s soft tone mixed with Pinkie Pie’s high pitched voice.

“So, what’s your name little one?” Radiant asks as he begins making soup. “My name is Radiant Sword and I’m an Alicorn from Ponyville.” He says with a warm smile as the little filly gets into his sleeping bag.

“My names Sugar Skull and I’m from a small village west of her called Catania.” She says before looking down at the ground with a somber look on her face. “I used to live with my mother and father until…the Changeling's showed up.” She says with a pained expression on her face. “When they attacked us they killed everyone and burned my village to the ground. I’ve been orphaned in this forest for several days now.” She says as Radiant holds her close to comfort her.

“Why would the Changeling's do that? Princess Celestia told us that Queen Chrysalis had stopped her relentless assault after the whole wedding incident.” Radiant says with a confused expression on his face.

“My daddy told me that Chrysalis only rules the main hive. There are rogue hives all over Equestria but I never believed my daddy. I always assumed they were just stories that parents told to keep their fillies on their best behavior.” Radiant strokes her mane with his hoof in an attempt to further calm Sugar Skull. “So, Mr. Sword why are you all the way out here?” she says as she looks up at him with her innocent red eyes. Radiant chuckles softly as he pets her head.

“Please Skull call me Radiant and well I’m on a journey a very important journey to the Crystal Empire.” Skull sinks her head in fear as she begins to shake.

“That’s were K-King S-Sombra lives.” She says as she cuddles up in the sleeping bag.

“Don’t worry Sugar Skull I’ve been warned about him and thanks to Princess Celestia I’m strong enough to fend him off.” Radiant says as his horn once again glows with a silver aura. “Look it would be wrong of me just to leave you here in this forest. So, if you want I can take you with me back to Ponyville so we can find you a new home or I can take you to one of the nearby villages and drop you off there.” Radiant said pointing at his map. “The choice is yours but for now let’s eat we can discuss this later.” He says as he hands Skull a bowl as the two new acquaintances eat and talk about their lives.

“WOW! You’re a creature from another world.” Sugar Skull says with stars in her eyes and a smile that rivaled Pinkie Pie’s. “On top of that you go on all these cool adventures with your friends. Not only that but your friends are The Elements of Harmony?” she says with an excited tone. Radiant laughs as he pets Skulls head once again.

“You hit the nail right on the head there Sugar Skull.” He says as he finishes off his soup. “Now, come on little one it’s time for bed.” Radiants says as he climbs into his sleeping bag and Sugar Skull cuddles up next to him and lays against his barrels as his arms wrap around her. The two sleep the night away. The morning soon approached as Radiant and Skull awoke from their dreams. As he stood up and stretched Sugar Skull walks up behind him wither saddlebags ready. “Alright now let’s get all this packed up and get out of here. We still have a day or two left before we reach the Crystal Empire.” Radiant said as he used his magic to pack everything up. Sugar Skull helped as she used her magic to pack up the sleeping bags and pillows.

“Ok daddy everything is all packed up and ready.” Radiant freezes in place as he turns to look at Sugar Skull with a look of shock on his face.

“Did you just call me D-Daddy?” Radiant says as he walks over to Skull.

“Well, kinda ya see since I have no family left and you risked your life to save me, on top of that you also fed me, healed my wounds, and took care of me. I kinda…w-want y-you t-to m-maybe consider…adopting me.” She says as she squeaks out the last two words as her cheeks flush red with embarrassment.

“Skull that’s a big question to ask someone you just met. I don’t mind adopting you but it’s too soon to decide that. I want you to think long and hard about this decision and once we return to Ponyville if you still feel the same way then I will adopt you. This doesn’t mean I’ll stop taking care of you though. After all it’s my responsibility to protect you.” He says as Skull puffs her cheeks and huffs.

“Yes sir.” She says as she grabs her bag and hops on Radiants head as they make their way out of the forest. As they make their way farther down the path the two friends begin to talk some more about what they like to do and what foods they like. The more they venture on down the path the closer Radiant and Sugar Skull become. Finally, after two days of walking they finally reached their destination, the snow covered wasteland leading to the Crystal Empire. Soon Radiant will be at the castle so he can severe the last memories of human life he had. If he succeeds not only will he come back to ponyville with a new little friend but he can finally find out whether he can love Applejack the way she loves him.

The cold winds rages on as the two ponies trek through the thick snow as their destination could be seen on the far horizon. As they continued their journey Sugar Skull started to shiver from the immense cold. Sensing her distress Radiant takes of his scarf and hat giving them to Skull. She snuggles up in the warm wool as Radiant shivers as he continues to walk through the snow. As they reached a frozen pond an evil laughter could be heard in the distance. Closing in from behind them was a black and purple fog with glowing green eyes. Radiant new those eyes from the stories Celestia told him. Fearing for Sugar Skulls safety radiant took to the sky and started flying as fast as he could. Sugar Skull wakes up at the sudden increase in speed and looks behind her. She soon notices Sombra gaining on them as she yelps and hides under Radiants hat.

As the darkness draws closer Radiant flaps his wings faster as a cone forms around him as his fur begins to ripple. “Hold on little one this is will be over soon.” He says as he pulls of a Solar Flare as he lands inside the barrier that protects the Crystal Empire from Sombra and his magic. Radiant lands breathing deeply. “Are..you ok...little one?” Radiant says as he takes the hat and scarf off her and puts it in his saddle bag.

“Ya I’m fine but what was that?” Skull says looking at Radiant in amazement.

“It’s called a Solar Flare, my friend Rainbow Dash taught it to me. It only happens when I break...the s-sound barrier.” Radiant says before collapsing to the ground and passing out. In a panic Sugar Skull nudges him trying to wake him up before running off to look for help. Radiant opens his eye and notices that he is in a bed in a room adorned with crystals. “Huh, where am I?” he said in a groggy tone.

“Radiant is that you? ” A white unicorn says as he stand over Radiants bed.

“Shining Armor?” Radiant says as he becomes fully conscious.

Shining Armor chuckles as he opens the curtains as light fills the room. “It’s Prince Shining Armor now remember?” He says as radiant gets out of bed and goes over to the window looking outside.

“That’s right how is Princess Cadence anyway?” Radiant says with a smile thinking back to the wedding. “Anymore issues with Chrysalis or Sombra?” He says looking out at the snowy wasteland on the edge of town.

“Thankfully know on Chrysalis but I’m guessing you ran into Sombra on your way here.” Armor says with glaring eyes.

“Ya, on the way here he attacked us. Thankfully I got Sugar Skull to safety I wouldn’t be able to live with myself had she gotten hurt.” Radiant says sinking his head. “How did I get here anyway? The last thing I remember was breaking the sound barrier getting Skull to safety and then all I saw was darkness.” He says turning to Armor meeting his gaze.

“According to the doctors you passed out from exhaustion. It was so cold that your stamina deteriorated twice as fast. If it hadn’t been for Skull you would’ve died. Your daughter saved you.” Radiants eyes widen before he closes them and shakes his head.

“She isn’t my daughter. On the way here I came across her in the forest. She was being hunted by a earth pony and I saved her.” Radiant pauses for a few seconds before swallowing a lump in his throat. “Her village had been wiped out by Changeling's from a rogue hive. I didn’t wanna leave the filly there so she has been with me ever since.” Radiant sits down pulling out a scroll, quill, and ink.

“Twilight was right about you. You are a fool.” He says as he laughs and smiles. Radiant looks back and returns the smile.

“Hey if I’m a fool for saving defenseless filly then I’m the biggest fool here is.” He says as him and Armor share a laugh as the door opens. Radiant looks out the window. “Ya know after all this blows over and I return to Ponyville I wouldn’t mind her father. After all she seems to have taken a liking to me.” Radiant says finishing his scroll before sending it off.

“What are my two favorite stallions talking about in here?” Cadance says walking into the room with Sugar Skull by her side. Sugar Skull runs over to Radiant tackling him to the floor.

“RadI I was so worried.” Sugar Skull says as Radiants eyes widen.

“Skull were did you hear that nickname?” Radiant says looking at her with a warm gaze.

“The orange pony outside told me.” She says with a big smile. “I think she likes you Radi.” she says before chuckling.

“Orange pony you don’t mean.” Radiant stops as he see’s another pony enter the room.

“Yup in the flesh.” Applejack says with a chuckle as she walks over to radiant giving him a hug.

“How did you get here and why did you follow me. I needed to do this alone.” Radiant says slightly aggravated.

“I wanted to let you go by yourself but when I heard Celestia tell you to head for the Crystal Empire I got worried. I’ve heard the stories about King Sombra and me and my friends have encountered him ourselves. I couldn’t handle losing you.” Applejack says as she begins to cry. Radiant wraps his arms around her comforting her.

“Celestia sent me a letter explaining your reason for coming here. I can help you erase your memories but be warned once there gone you can never get them back. Meaning should you try to go home you will have no memories of your friends, family, and your everyday life.” cadence says with a stern look on her face.

“I don’t know what I want to do. I’ve only been in Equestria for a short time yet part of me wants to stay and start a new life here with Applejack and Sugar Skull. On the other hand the other side of my mind is telling me that everything I’m doing here is wrong and that I don’t belong here. I just don’t know what to choose.” Radiant says as he begins to cry and grip his head in pain.

“Try not to get too worked up you still haven't healed fully. It’s not your head that's torturing you your mind is fighting what your heart wants.” Cadance says as her horn lights up as it wraps Radiant in a pink aura. “Your heart is filled with the love you feel towards Applejack and Skull but your human mindset is holding you back. The only way for you to be happy is to go ahead with the removal process. I understand that this is a big decision just come find me once you have made up your mind.” She says as her and Shining Armor leave the room.

“You ok sugarcube?” Applejack says rubbing Radiants back as Sugar Skull jumps on his head.

“Please stay daddy you're all I have left.” she says as she nuzzles Radiants head. Radiant sits there thinking to himself. As he recalls the events leading up to know he compares them to his old life. Radiant imagines a room where he is standing in the middle surrounded by his heart and brain.

“C’mon Noah forget this world. You know you don’t belong here why do you fight what you are.” His brain says as it floats around him.

“His names not Noah he is Radiant Sword now and he is a pony just like everyone else.” his heart says firing back as it manifests into a red pony causing his brain to manifest into a human.

“No he is a human that got transformed into a pony against his will. He doesn’t even have a cutie mark. The inhabitants of this world will never accept you. Deep down they hate you and if given the chance they would abandon you in a heartbeat.” His brain says scoffing at his heart.

“No my heart's right I’m not a human I’m Radiant Sword and I am an Alicorn. The ponies here love and accept me even though I’m different. True friends can see past imperfections like that. At the end of the day my friends will stand by my side and I will stand proudly with them. True happiness comes from the heart not the brain so no brain I refuse my human side. Noah is gone I’m Radiant Sword now.” He says as his heart enters his body as he turns his back to his brain.

“Get back her you daft little man. I command you” his brain yells as big blue doors slam and lock. Radiant opens his eyes and takes a deep breath.

“Applejack go get cadence I’ve made my decision. It’s time for Radiant to show his true colors.

Chapter 5 - The Monster Within

Meanwhile back in Ponyville Twilight and her friends become saddened by Radiants absence. Twilight misses the the late night study sessions that her and Radiant had, Rainbow misses having a friend she can compete with, Rarity misses her very talented assistant, and Fluttershy and Pinkie miss the kindness that Radiant always shared with everyone. Twilight looks at her calendar counting down to the day Radiant was suppose to come back. Just then a loud scream and bang can heard followed by more screams. Worried twilight rushes outside to see Ponyville being attacked by a small group of Pegusai. She rushes to get the others as they make there way to the group. Once there they are confronted by a red and black carriage. The Pegusai land and salute the carriage as the door opens. Out of the carriage steps a red and black alicorn. He opens his eyes as a dark aura shoots around them.

“So this is Ponyville? Such a disappointment here I was thinking I had sent the human someplace more...populated.” He said with a sharp toothy grin. “Oh well, these things happens now where is the human Radiant Sword I believe his name was.” He says scanning the group of ponies before him trying to locate Radiant.

“Who are you and what do you want with our friend?” Rainbow Dash says with snarl.

“Oh dear where are my manners. My name is Exodus and i am the one who sent Radiant here to destroy you all and take over the throne until I returned. From the looks of things it seems the little fool couldn’t even accomplish this simple task. Well if you want something done right you must do it yourself.” He said with a laugh as Pegusai and Changelings start attacking the town.

“Girls quick to the castle. We have to warn Princess Celestia.” Twilight says as the five of them run for the balloon. Once in the balloon twilight takes out a scroll and begins writing a letter to Radiant. “Spike send the letter hurry.” Twilight says as Exodus shoots a hole in the balloon as it spins and crashes in a nearby forest.

“Oh so close quickly my minions retrieve the elements and bring them to me. Now let's get this party started.” Exodus says as he walks through town destroying buildings and imprisoning the citizens of Ponyville. Back in the Crystal Empire the scroll lands on Radiants bed while he is in the throne room with Cadence and Shining Armor.

“Very well Radiant if that is your final decision then we shall begin the process.” Cadence says as she climbs down and walks up to Radiant and looks into his eyes. Her eyes flash pink as Radiant falls to the ground. After a few minutes Radiant wakes up and shakes his head. “All done Radiant all ties you had to your former life are now gone. There is one thing I just don’t understand. As a human who was brought here against his will and turned into a pony none the less why were you so adamant on erasing your past? I thought for sure you would want to return home.” Cadence says helping him to his hooves.

“Well Princess it’s simple. Sure I had friends and family back home in the human world and at first all I wanted was to go home. That was until I met Twilight and her friends. Once I had met them everything changed there friendship made me feel whole, like my life had a clear meaning and during the time I’ve been in Equestria me and Applejack have gotten very close then there was Sugar Skull. She was the package that completed everything. So that's why I wanted to start a new life from scratch one where I can be happy in new hometown Ponyville.” Radiant said as a bright flash engulfs him when the light clears Skull gasps in amazement.

“Mr. Radiant your flank it has a mark on it.” She says as Radiant runs over to the crystalline wall of the throne room. On his Flank he spots a grey six pointed star with a yellow rune symbol behind them with six holes with weird symbols in them. Upon closer examination the six symbols soon morph into six new marks. Butterflies, Apples, Balloons, A rain cloud with lightning through it, three diamonds and lastly purple and pink stars both large and small. “Wait those are my friends cutie marks.” He says with a shocked look on his face.

“Yes my brave pupil you were given that cutie mark to symbolize that you are the conduit that can channel and amplify the elements of harmony.” Celestia says coming down from the sky out of nowhere.

“What does all that mean Princess?” Sugar Skull asks with a look of confusion on her face which causes Celestia to giggle.

“Well, my little pony it means that Radiant here is the seventh Element of Harmony. The Element of Comradery. So, from what Cadence tells me the operation was a success?’ Celestia asks looking over at Radiant.

“Yes Princess I’m now a full fledged Pony with no more ties to my old life. I can now start over with Applejack and Skull.” Radiant says with a smile as Skull rus and jumps on his head.

“Does that mean I can call you daddy now?” She says smiling ear to ear.

“Yes Sugar Skull you can now call me daddy.” He says hugging and nuzzling the crying filly.

“Well, it seems you have been busy Radiant or should I say Noah the human.” a voice says from the far end of the throne room. From the shadows a black and green pony emerged as the guards readied themselves for an attack.

“Who are you and that's not my name anymore.” Radiant says as he puts Sugar Skull down. “Run and hide behind the throne Skull.” She nods and runs as Celestia, Cadence, Armor, and Applejack stand by Radiants side ready to fight.

“Haven’t you ponies ever heard of the term don’t shoot the messenger. I have no intention of fighting I’m simply here to give you a message from my lord.” The pony throws a scroll to radiant as he opens it and reads it. His eyes widen as he grits his teeth.

“Whats going on Radiant?” Armor says noticing his friends dismay.

“Ponyville is under attack by an unknown army. Led by a Lord Exodus the pony claims to be the one that sent me to this world.” Radiant continues to read as he stops again. “I was sent here to destroy Equestria? That’s impossible I could never do that.” Celestia gently takes the scroll from him and burns it.

“Doesn’t matter what he sent you to do the fact is thanks to the elements of harmony prevented that from happening.” She says reassuring the gray alicorn.

“Oh and I was supposed to give you this gift.” He says as he slides a bag over to radiant before disappearing. “My lord says this should make things interesting.” Scared Radiant unravels the bag making everyone wretch in horror. Before them was a severed blue Pegasus wing. “ That's Rainbows Wing.” Applejack says in horror as Radiant falls silent. He begins to grit his teeth in anger,

“Calm yourself Radiant. There will be time for revenge later. For now we have to focus on saving Ponyville first. Twilight and her friends are hard fighters they will be fine.” Celestia says putting a hoof on Radiants back. “For now I want you to train. You will need all the skill you can muster to defeat Exodus. Meanwhile I will enlist Luna’s help and work on securing Ponyville.” Celestia says as she teleports out of the throne room. Radiant stays quiet as he heads down into the dungeon of the castle.

“Where are you going” Applejack says following Radiant.

“I’m going to take Celestia's advice and train. After all I’m the seventh element I can’t fail...no matter the cost.” Radiant says closing the door.

“Ugh where are we?” Rainbow says as she feels a stinging sensation on her back. Twilight looks over at Rainbow and hasps covering her mouth.

“Rainbow your wing is gone. From the looks of it Lord Exodus cut it off while we were passed out.” Twilight says as she scans her surroundings.

“Oh dear twilight you give me far too much credit. However I would never do such a savage thing. Now my underlings however well that's a different story.” Exodus says with a laugh as he stands on the other side of a set of cell doors.

“You're so screwed when Radiant gets here.” Rainbow says standing up and rushing at the bars.

“Oh yes indeed I will be and after I had a messenger give him your severed wing I imagine he will be near the verge of bloodlust when he sees me. You see Radiants mission was to destroy Equestria and I intend to have him do that. You see inside him is a rather nasty rune that when activated by intense damage to the host's body. The host transforms into a savage beast that kills everything in its path. That same stone is also inside me and once his is activated mine will be to and we will destroy this world and move on to the next world and the next and so on. It will be a truly marvelous sight. It’s a shame you all won’t live long enough to see him transform. TaTa” Exodus says as he walks away laughing.

“A beast that kills anything in its path. What could that beast possibly be.” Twilight says as she goes over the many beats of Equestria.

“Whatever it is it doesn’t sound very nice.” Fluttershy says hiding in the corner.

“He’s wrong I know radiant he can fight it and beat that bastard.” Rainbow says looking out the window of their cell.

Days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months as Radiant trains to his limit everyday. The thought of Rainbows wing fuels him to continue pushing himself beyond his boundaries. As the day goes on Radiant stops and comes up to the castle. In the throne room Awaits Princess Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Shining Armor, and several dozen guards.

“Radiant Sword you are tasked with the duty of Rescuing your friends and defeating Exodus. Meanwhile we will work on securing the town and wiping out any resistance.” Shining Armor says as he signals his guard to bring out a chest. “In this chest is a helm, boots, chest peice, wing guards, and flank guards. With this Armor which bears the sigil of The Elements of Harmony you will be the one who takes down the evil King Exodus.” Radiant puts on the armor and readies himself.

“Let’s go save Equestria.” Radiant says he storms off into the sky as everyone follows him. Applejack and Sugar kull follow behind them in a guard drawn carriage as they head for Ponyville. Shining Armor and Cadence sit on their thrones.

“Do you think he will make it?” cadence says worried for Radiants safety.

“I have no doubt. Twilight told me how much he has improved. Back in Ponyville the girls finally formulate a plan to escape. Once the guards fell asleep they put their plan into action. They pooled together what strength they had left and eventually busted a hole in the wall small enough for them to squeeze through.. Once free they began to run far away from the center of town as possible. As Radiant and the Princesses approached ponyville they noticed Twilight and her friends and quickly landed.

“Twilight up here!” Radiant yelled as they land shortly after radiant lands Applejack and Skull jump out and rush to Radiants side.

The seven friends hug each other tightly. “I’m sorry about your wing Rainbow. If I had gotten here in time then maybe I could have saved it.” Radiant says disappointed in himself. Look at you girls you're all dirty and emaciated. What happened?” Radiant says as his armor gleams in the sunlight.

“We have been trapped in a prison cell for several months. We didn’t get much food or water.” Twilight says weakly smiling.

“Celestia and Luna please take Twilight and them somewhere safe and make sure they get their strength back.” Celestia looks at Radiant.

“Are you sure. Can you handle Exodus by yourself.” Celestia says ordering her guards to help Twilight and her friends. “I also want you two to look after my daughter for me.” The girl's eyes widen as Rainbow stands up.

“How in the hell do you have a daughter?” Rainbow asks as radiant strips off his armor except for his boots and chest piece.

“It's a long story I’ll tell you all when this is over.” Twilight notices his cutie mark.

“Radiant you got your cutie mark!” She says with a smile.

“Not only that but I’m also the seventh Element of Harmony. The Element of Comradery.” Radiant says with a smile before rocketing towards Ponyville.

“Comraderberry what's that?” Pinkie says in confusion as Twilight puts her hoof on her face and shakes it.

“Comradery Pinkie it means a feeling of trust, a bond created by a shared goal or experience. Radiant fights for what we all fight for. To protect our friends and family. Radiant lands in Ponyville as he begins attacking Changelings and the evil Pegusai. He kicks, blasts, and stabs his way to the center of town. As he stand there covered in goo and blood more cannon fodder attack. Kicking into full gear Radiant continues to fight and kill everyone who attacks him. He yells and snarls as a pile of bodies soon amass around him. Scared the remaining enemies retreat as Radiant spits and continues his mission. As he runs through the streets and alleys of Ponyville his mind becomes clouded with rage and anger. His once beautiful home now a burning wasteland. His once happy friends now weak and near death. Radiant stops in another town square and looks around. More enemies converge from the roof only this time they are armored and have bladed horns. Radiant steadies his breath as he closes his eyes before opening them again. The armored ponies attack radiant moving faster than he can read. They scored several hits on Radiant as he is picked up by his hind leg and thrown into a building. He flies out attacking once again as the knights continue their relentless assault on Radiant. They stomp him into the ground and knock him around with kicks and hammers. Radiant lays on the ground bloodied and broken as the knights all stand to one side. A large Earth pony walks towards him wearing the same armor.

“All that power and you still couldn’t beat us. What does Exodus see in a weakling like you.” The pony says slamming his hoof repeatedly on radiants back as he coughs up blood. “Now here is what's gonna happen little colt. I’m going to kill you and wear you like a nice pelt. Then I’m gonna kill all your friends and the best part is you're too broken to stop me not even Exodus.” he says as he laughs aiming his horn at Radiants throat slitting it. The ground begins to tremble as the guards step back as Radiant rises up and turns white before a flash of light blinds the attackers. As the light clears Radiant appears as a eight foot tall grey skinned creature with yellow eyes huge teeth and razor sharp claws and horns. “W...what the hell are you.” The pony screamed as Radiant lunged forward as he tears the pony and his guards limb from limb as blood splashes the walls and pools on the ground.

“Wh...What is this? What happened to me?” Radiant says gripping his head and roaring loudly.

“This is what happens when the beast rune is activated.” A voice says as Radiant looks around a black abyss. “When the body is subjected to intense pain and stress this rune activates giving the host control of this new body.” The voice continues to say.

“Who are you show yourself?” Radiant demands in an angry tone.

“Calm down child no need for aggression I am a friend. You may call me Starswirl the Bearded.” The voice says as an azure blue pony with a long white mane and matching beard steps into the light. “You see son Exodus wanted to activate this rune and use you to help him destroy Equestria but because of the power of friendship that courses through your cutie mark and the fact you have become the seventh Element of Harmony as counter acted the runes connection to Exodus. However, you are not yet ready to use this form. Your body has been turned into unbreakable stone. It will break and set you free once you have mastered this new form. Now come this way son it’s time to start your training.

Episode 1 - The Adventure Begins

“Whoa! Radiant look out!” Rainbow said as she flew down rocketing towards me as turn a few seconds too late. With a loud thud Rainbow crashes into my stomach as the two of us flew and crashed into a wall. I lay there on my back dazed and confused as Rainbows head wobbles in confusion. She shakes her head and stands up dusting herself off. “You ok dude? That was a pretty nasty hit.” Rainbow said laughing as I simply stick my hoof up and give her a groan of approval before she uses her wings to lift me out of the wall. I shake my head and dust myself off.

“Rainbow what the hell, you could’ve killed me crashing into me at that speed.” I say picking up my glasses only to find them broken in two. “Fantastic now I gotta go see if Rarity or Twilight can repair them...again.” I begin to walk over to the boutique as Rainbow follows beside me.

“I’m really sorry I broke your glasses Radiant.” Rainbow said looking at me with a guilty look on her face.

“It's ok Rainbow just next time please give me a quicker warning or try and avoid hitting me. Us Unicorns aren’t that durable.” I say rubbing the back of my neck.

“Hey to make it up to you how about we grab some cider after we get those glasses fixed?” Rainbow said as she flew beside me upside down hands behind her head.

“Sure why not I could go for a drink or two.” I say checking my watch to see what time it was. This isn’t the first time I’ve almost been killed by Rainbow and her stunts. There have been several times where I would help her with her crazy stunts and I always end up nearly getting killed. My life here sure is more eventful than my life back home. I haven’t always been a resident of Ponyville nor have I always gone by the name Radiant. The truth is I’ve only been here for six months. How I got here is still a mystery.

It was a normal day back on earth. I had just finished mowing my lawn and decided to head to the store for some food. As I walk to the store I get a weird text on my phone. The text still confuses me to this day. I looked down on my phone and opened the message.

“Hey what do you get when you set a popular person on fire in their hometown? The Toast of the Town ;).”

I stood there and put a hand on my face and let out a deep sigh of disappointment. Just then my phone burst into flames. Freaking out i through the phone into the nearby lake. As soon as the phone hit the water a portal appeared out of thin air and sucked me inside it. Once inside the portal i begin to freak out as I felt my body twist and contort. Next, thing I know I’m thrown into a nearby lake in the middle of a forest. I walk out of the water only to find that not only am in some unknown forest but I’m somehow shorter than I was back on earth. I look down at was once my feet and I begin to freak out.

“What! Why do I have hooves and why the hell is my skin so grey?” I say freaking out some more. Just then a disturbing thought hits me. I turn around and walk towards the water's edge and see my reflection. I let out a massive scream as birds from all around me fly away. “I’m a fucking unicorn. What the fuck is going on here?” I step back from the water's edge and begin to breathe in and out deeply trying to calm myself. “Ok just step back and recall the events leading up to this moment. I mowed my lawn, walked to the store when i got a text message containing a bad pun, then my phone burst into flames and i threw it into the lake near my house. Next thing I know I’m sucked into a weird portal and i woke up here only I’m now a pony.” I put my hoof under my chin and go over the events one more time in my head. “I’m so fucked. This does raise another question.” I say sitting down on a nearby log. “If I’m now a pony, then were the hell am I. As much as i hate the idea i only have one choice. I’m gonna have to find away out of this forest and make it to a town or hut or something. Maybe i can find help and answers there.” I stand up and begin walking through the forest. “Jesus walking on all fours is difficult.” I say as I wobble back and forth.

After a few hours of walking I finally find an odd looking tree hut...thing with African masks adorning the front door. Nervous I knock on the door with my new hoof. After a few minutes the door opens and before me stands a zebra with gold rings around her hooves and in her house I can see herbs, potions, and a bubbling cauldron.

“Oh lost soul wandering the forest alone why hast thou come to my humble home.” The zebra said in an odd but surprisingly catchy rhyme scheme. I quickly swallow my fear and look at the creature.

“Ok you're probably not gonna believe me but I need some help. You see I’m from another world. I was walking to the store when i got an odd message on my phone after reading the message it burst into flames and i was sucked into this world only to come out as a pony.” I said realizing how stupid everything i just said sounded. The zebra looks at me with narrowed eyes before stepping to the side.

“Fear not oh ye lost pony. If it is answers you desire then let us speak over a fire.” She said as we walk outside to a fire pit. Wanting to know more about this mysterious zebra I decided to ask another question as she lit the fire.

“So, what is your name anyway? If you don’t mind me asking.” I say trying not to pry too much into her personal affairs. She pauses pulling out a small pouch.

“Oh lost pony with a mysterious aura you may call me Zecora.” She says in that nearly contagious rhyme.

“Nice to meet you Zecora, You can call me Noah I guess.” I say staring at the fire as she throws a mysterious powder into the blaze causing the fire to turn a ominous green color. The picture of a sun shows in the fire before changing into emblem with six stones in it. The fire explodes and extinguishes itself. “What did those symbols mean Zecora?’ I asked confused at the cryptic message.

“Oh lost soul to find the meaning of the emblems you see, go to Ponyville and seek out the Elements of Harmony.” Zecora says before walking back into her home and motioning me to follow her inside.

“The Elements of Harmony.” I say to myself as i follow her inside.

“To ensure your safety in your travels take this bag of helpful marvels.” She says handing me a saddlebag filled with quills, ink, paper, and a few potions. She then hands me a map detailing how to get out of the forest. “Heed my warning lost pony, beware the creatures of the everfree.” Zecora says waving to me as I begin to walk down the path described on the map. The forest grew cold and damp as the day quickly turned into night. Not wanting to trek in the dark I found a spot under a tree and I set up camp for the night. I sat there Illuminated by the fire in front of me. I wanted to put Zecora's gifts to good use so I took out the empty book and a quill and some ink and began to log everything that's happened today. After an hour or so of writing I decided to close the book and return it to the saddlebag. Feeling tired I decided to get some sleep and continue my journey early in the morning.

The sun was shining bright through the trees as I woke up and stretched whipping my eyes with my wings. I pause for a quick second and look behind me. “Huh? When did I get wings?” I say as I rush to look at my reflection in the gold buckle on my saddlebag. “A horn and wings? Something is seriously wrong with this world. I didn’t have these yesterday did I?” I ask myself feeling more confused than ever. “Hopefully someone in this Ponyville place can help me turn back to normal and send me back to my world.” I say as i pack up and continue my trek through the Everfree Forest. After several more hours of walking i finally reached the opening to the forest. Happy to finally be free of the forest I gallop towards the exit. Once out I find a small dirt path near a lake. Feeling thirsty from my long walk I decide to stop and drink from the lake. I walk to the edge of the lake and lean down and drink the clear blue liquid. Upon further investigation i spy a small cottage. “Maybe someone there can help me find Ponyville.” I say to myself as I continue walking. As I approach the cottage a see a small yellow pony with a long pink mane feeding some chickens.

I continue walking until I’m in earshot of the yellow pony. “Excuse me miss could you be so kind as to help me with something?” I say in a calm tone. The yellow pony sees me and lets out a small squeak before rushing inside her house and slamming the door. “Did I say something wrong?” I say to myself as I scratch my head.

“You’ll have to forgive her she isn’t very good with strangers.” Said a strange voice coming from behind me. As I look down I see a small purple pony with wings and a horn just like me. Nice to meet you I’m Twilight Sparkle it's nice to meet you. She said with a smile. She looks me up and down and notices that my flank is bare. “Wait a minute where is your cutie mark? She says narrowing her eyes as her horn glows and envelops me in a weird purple aura.

“Cutie what?” I say confused. “Look I was told by Zecora to seek out the Elements of Harmony. She said they would be able to help me.” I say pointing to the Everfree Forest.

Twilight backs away slightly. “Who are you? What are you? How do you know about the Elements of Harmony?” She said cautiously.

I sigh deeply and sit down and tell her everything that's happened. “So, that's how I ended up here.” I say catching my breath. “I was hoping the Elements could help me get back home and return me to normal.” I say smiling.

“Well, from what you told me it seems you my friend could be a victim of Discord, a mythical creature that loves chaos. However, he has been trapped in stone for a while now. So, if you were sent here because of him it means he broke free and could be anywhere. I will have to contact Princess Celestia and let her know. As for sending you back that however may not be possible. Since your world is unknown to us it will be nearly impossible to pinpoint its exact location. As for turning you back into a human that part will be equally impossible. Even with the amount of magic I posses.” Twilight says in a sincere tone.

“So, you're telling me some mythical creature brought me to this world with magic but you can’t send me back or change me back into a human? Meaning I’m stuck here as a pony.” I say annoyed and disappointed.

“In the nutshell...yes thats a very accurate summary of the situation. What I can do is allow you to stay with me. For the most part you look like one of us. Me and my friends will teach you how to use your horn and wings. Along with the history of Equestria. As for the cutie mark thing well cutie marks are basically a type of tattoo to put it simply. This tattoo is given to a pony when he or she find there special talent. A cutie mark can pop up at anytime so all I can tell you is this, while you're here try and find something you're good at.” Once we get you settled in I want you to go to Sweet Apple Acres and find a pony named Applejack tell her twilight sent you and ask her about the Cutie Mark Crusaders and were to find their club house. The three fillies there don’t have cutie marks either so they may be able to help you. Plus it’s a good way to get to know the ponies here in Ponyville.” Twilight says motioning you to follow her. As you two head to her home she gives you then complete rundown on everything in this world from the beginning of time all the way to her coming to Ponyville from Canterlot.

“So you're fresh off the boat here too...so to speak.” You say as you arrive at her treehouse.

“You could say that yes. In fact, danger seem to find me everywhere I go.” Oh ya the whole Nightmare Moon event. I remember you telling me about that.” You say as you sit on a pillow as twilight pours the two of you some tea.

“I know I said me and my friends will help you adjust but mark my words. If you’re lying to me and infact try to harm anypony or do anything evil me and the Elements will defeat you and have you imprisoned in the castle dungeon in Canterlot.” Twilight says pointing her horn at you as it lights up.

“Dually noted. Trust me you have nothing to fear from me. Now, can you please teach me how to properly use my magic.?” I say grunting as my horn flashes a silver aura for a split second before fizzing out.

Twilight hands me a stack of books. “Here first things first read and study these books. They will help you understand magic better. In the meantime I’m gonna go gather my friends and bring them here and we can introduce you and get you settled in. Oh Also can you keep an eye on my assistant spike fore me. He is the little green dragon upstairs.” Twilight smiles before closing the door and trotting off. I sit there with my hooves on my head trying to wrap everything around my mind. “This can’t be happening. There has to be someway I can get home. Maybe these book twilight gave me can help.” I say to myself as I crack the books open and begin to read them. A few hours go by and i finish the last book.

“Whoa who are you?” I hear coming from the top of the stairs. I look up to see a small green and purple dragon walking down the stairs.

“You must be Spike. Twilight wanted me to watch you until she got back. I get the feeling she will explain everything then. Me and Spike begin to chat. After an hour Twilight and her friends finally return. The six ponies walk and quickly look at me. At first they say nothing, as if they to are trying to wrap their heads around the situation just like me. After a few moments of awkward silence Twilight soon breaks the silence and explains to the girls and spike my situation in greater detail. On top she introduces her five friends. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie.

Once the formalities are taken care of Twilight explains that as of now I’m stuck this way. After I review with her everything I learned from the books I demonstrate what I learned by simply levitating Spike. He quickly started spinning as the silver aura from my horn envelops him and I place him safely on the table. “Wow your a fast learner, I’m impressed.” Fluttershy steps forward and speaks.

“I’m….r-really s-sorry about running away from you like that.” She said in a soft voice.

“Hey don’t worry about it Fluttershy I understand.” I say with a soft smile and stand up. Applejack looks me up and down.

“Well, I’ll be. You sure are taller than most ponies here.” Applejack says walks over to a nearby pillow and sits down pouring herself some tea

“Well, according to Twilight I’m as tall as your Princess.” I say putting the books up with my magic.

“Yes like I said before she is the ruler of this land. Your also gonna start writing to her like I do. She tasked me with coming here and learning about friendship. I figure once I tell her what's happened we can both write letters and have Spike send them.” She says smiling. “Tomorrow you're gonna meet Rainbow Dash near the field and she is gonna teach you how to fly.” Twilight said pointing to Rainbow.

“Don’t worry rookie you won’t be as awesome as me when it comes to flying but I’ll teach you all you need to know about using your wings.” She says in a cocky tone while striking an equally cocky pose.

“Don’t worry darling she will grow on you.” Rarity says putting her hoof to her face and shaking her head back and forth.

“Oh ya Applejack Twilight said to ask you about a group called the Cutie Mark Crusaders?” I say sitting down and drink more of my tea.

“Ya there a group of three fillies including mah little sister Applebloom and her Friends Scootaloo, and Sweetie Bell. There tryna find a way to earn their cutie marks so ah reckon you can help them and they can help you. She says stretching out.

“Hey where's Pinkie?” Rainbow Dash says looking around.

“She was right here a minute ago.” Rarity says looking around with Rainbow.

Suddenly a loud boom hits your ears you jump in fear and scream crashing into a bookshelf. As you lay on your back under a pile of books..

“Surprise!” She says as she lands on your stomach. “Hi my name is Pinkie Pie. Did I surprise you.” She said smiling making a slightly adorable squeaking sound.

“You could say that ya.” I say laughing as Twilight and her friends join in the laughter. Once up I dust myself up and put the fallen books back on the shelf.

“Well, girls this has been fun but after the events of today I’m gonna hit the hay. Rainbow I’ll see you tomorrow morning. Goodnight everyone it was nice to meet you all.” I walk upstairs and lay on the guest bed upstairs. After getting comfortable I quickly fall asleep.

“Twi are you one hundred percent sure he can be trusted. You did say he was brought here by Discord.” Applejack whispers so I can’t hear.

“No I said he could be a victim of Discord. However, after talking him I doubt he has anything to do with this. After all he knows nothing about the world or body he is in. On top of that if Discord wanted to cause chaos he would’ve sent him here in his human form and given him magic or enough knowledge of our world to cause chaos himself but he didn’t even know what an alicorn was.. Still, Discord is unpredictable I’m still gonna let Celestia know just in case he has broken free.” Twilight says taking out a quill and ink and writing a quick letter to Celestia explaining everything that's happened and the measures she is taking in order to help him. “To answer your other question Applejack yes I’m one hundred percent sure he can be trusted.” She says handing the scroll to spike so he can send it. “For now all we can is help him get settled in until we can figure something out.” Twilight says as the girls nod and say their goodbyes. As twilight goes to check on her new guest Spike burps back a response. Anxious Twilight opens the scroll and reads it.

Dear Twilight,

I am happy you brought this to my attention. I’m proud of you for being so kind to the creature. As for what you said about Discord sounds serious. I will look into this matter immediately. Also tomorrow i would like for you to bring this pony to me so i can meet him. I may be able to provide some help on the situation. Until then i want you to keep a close eye on him incase something else happens.

The scroll disappears as Twilight decides to head to bed. Tomorrow is a big day for her. The suns shines heavily through the window as it illuminated my face causing me to wake up. As I head downstairs I see Twilight packing her saddlebags.

“Going somewhere Twilight?” I ask wiping my eyes with my wing.

“Yes get ready the Princess wants to meet you. Were off to canterlot.” Twilight says throwing you a saddlebag and Spike hops on Twilight's back. The three of us leave the house and head for the hot air balloon. Once in the balloon it lifts up to our destination. Once he hop off the balloon and begin making our way to the castle I look around astounded by the beauty that is Canterlot.

“It’s a beautiful place isn’t?” Twilight says smiling. “I grew up here.” She says as she points to the castle. “There it is Princess Celestia’s Castle.” Twilight say pointing to the mammoth building in the distance. Once inside we are quickly taken to the throne room where we are presented before the Princess herself. As Celestia steps down from her throne me and twilight quickly bow before her.

“You both may rise.” She says in a soft yet stern tone. She looks over at me. “Twilight has told me of your plight Noah. As of now there is nothing we can do to send or back or fix your current condition. Until things can be fixed I would like to officially welcome you to Ponyville. Now, since we don’t know how long you're going to be stuck here I approve Twilight's plan to have you live in Ponyville and become my pupil as well. If you learn anything or have questions feel free to write to me. Oh and one other thing to make sure you fit in her you may want to consider changing your name. So, what would you like to go by Noah?” Celestia asks putting her hoof on my shoulder.

“Well, if it makes my time here easier I guess I can go by my old nickname Radiant Sword.” I say with a forced smile.

“Very well then. Radiant Sword I Princess Celestia accept you as my pupil. Welcome to Equestria.” She says with a smile.

“Thank you Princess Celestia. It’s an honor to be your pupil. I can promise that during my time here I will fulfill your wishes to the best of my ability.” I say bowing once again.

“Oh Radiant you flatter me.” She says laughing. “There is no need to be super formal around me although I appreciate the respect you show me. Now, go I believe Twilight says you're suppose to meet Rainbow Dash to practice flying.” Me and Twilight wave goodbye and head back down to Ponyville.

“Things are about get even crazier I just know it.”
