42 DAYS TILL THE END OF THE WORLD
"Number...Number...wake up...NUMBER!" The pony shouting was called Pancake...he was a baker
"Um...yes...what!" Number Crunch was asleep on the sofa again...he was a bank accountant
"You slept in again..." Pancake said "If you don't get going soon...your going to be late"
"Right...right...got it" Number Crunch got his clothes on and left the house
In a completely different place in Equestria a young mare was selling small wooden trinkets such as horses, clocks etc . The mares name was Tinted Leaf...she made the trinkets and loved her job, but here's the thing...no pony hardly ever bought anything, and when they did they only bought the cheaper items. Tinted Leaf was hungry and decided to look at her makings of the day: 12 bits, ok...that could buy me a sandwich...thank Celestia...some days she had to deal with being hungry...but today felt special...she had food and it wasn't raining today...what could go wrong?
A Prison bus trundled its way through Manehatten and into the desert...many thugs, murderers and rapists were on board...but there was one pony that didn't belong there...Diamond Feathers...she was part of the higher class of Canterlot and worked at a jewellery shop and was framed for murder, "Look I don't belong here" Diamond said "I keep telling you...I was framed"
"Shut up and sit down" Said the guard pony
"Fine" Diamond would never surprise prison...if she did...she wouldn't be the same
Meanwhile in Canterlot...a scientist pony named Chemical Vial was gathering his notes and sketches and rushed right out of his lab, as this pony had an official board meeting with Celestia and Luna to tell her about the recent astronomical predicament that Equestria was now in. He ran as fast as his hooves could take him until he burst into the room, all eyes were on him, "Good evening your majesties" He said "Sorry i'm late everypony...I had to double check something"
"Get on with it" Said a very grumpy looking Shining Armour
"Yes...of course" Chemical stuttered...they wasn't going to like this
"Now...have you heard of" Chemical breathed in...and then out "The Zebrago Meteor shower?"
"No...what is it?" Luna asked
"Well" He breathed again "Its thousands and thousands of meteors and comets all in one big cluster"
"Interesting" Luna said "What about them?"
"Well...this is difficult to say" He breathed in and out again for good luck "The Zebrago Meteor Shower is on course for Equestria"
"Are you sure?" Celestia asked "How long do you think we have?"
"42 Days" Chemical replied "42 Days to live"
"Shining Armour, gather my subjects I need to speak to them" Celestia said
"Of course" Shining Armour said as he hurried away
"Number...your late again" Money Shower said "If it happens again...I swear to Celestia"
"Sorry Mr Shower" Number Crunch said "I slept in" he hurried to his desk and began to type on his computer about how much money is going in...and how much is going out.
He did this every day ,of every week ,of every month ,of every year...life was so boring...nothing to look forward to...Number Crunches life was exceedingly dull.
Tinted Leaf was sat in a café, biting on a sandwich, looking outside...turns out she was wrong...it could get worse...it had started to rain, she let out a sigh "Way do so many things just go to shit?" Tinted Leaf sat there and wondered where in her life everything went wrong.
"Haha" The guard pony looked up and down at the new mare that had been placed in the prison cell "Your not going to last a day in here"
"Your right...any tips?" Diamond had tears running down her face...she couldn't stay in here...she just couldn't
"Yeah" The prison guard smiled "Stay in your cell, only come out for dinner" he walked away and left Diamond to fend for herself for the next five years that she had been sentenced to.
All TVs around Equestria suddenly came up with red flashing letters telling the viewers to listen...that's when Celestia appeared on the screen and said the words that started the beginning of the end:
"Everypony in all of Equestria, I ask you to listen" Celestia brushed away a tear from her cheek "The Zebrago Meteor Shower has recently been angled onto a new course: Equestria...we have 42 days till the end of the world as we know it...no pony panic...we will get everything under control...we will do everything in our power to keep the peace and end chaos...I repeat: no pony panic...we will get everything under control"
The Entire world panicked, street were suddenly destroyed, shops were raided, cities fell, all it took were those words to cause chaos across Equestria, the world still had 42 days of this until finally...the world would end. no questions asked.
Number Crunch watched this on his computer,
Tinted Leaf watched this on the café TV,
Diamond Feathers watched this on the prison TV,
Chemical Vial was there...with Celestia, watching her keep a smile on her face...trying to keep the world calm.
These four ponies don't know each other at all,
But in 42 days,
They will know each other very well.
