I'm aware of how short this is, please bare with me, as I'm terrible with prologues. Hopefully my the first chapter is more satisfying.

Prologue

Two ponies stand on top of a massive rock, the stones dating back to times before the recollection of the oldest of the elders, yet remaining still stable and firm, as though containing the spirits of those who have fallen throughout time, and the strength that burned within them while alive. One pony, a yellow unicorn with a red and purple mane and tail, looks over to the pony beside her.

“They're progressing nicely, Sunset,” The unicorn says, nervously.

“Good to hear, soon we'll be able to launch our attack,” Sunset replies, a light cackle being released from her.

“If I may ask..why are we trying to attack Agrisclan again?” The pony inquires. Sunset huffs at this, shaking her head.

“I've told you this before, Moondancer. If we are to become as powerful as we can be, we must take back over Hunter's Gorge, perhaps some more of their territory for crossing us,” Sunset responds to the now identified Moondancer.

“I can understand Hunter's Gorge, and I know I'm not supposed to question my leader, but shouldn't we leave it there? The boundaries were put there long ago for a reason, you know,” Moondancer replies, flinching as she receives a glare from Sunset.

“The boundaries there are old, and Agrisclan has more than enough resources to thrive on much less land that what they greedily have. We don't have the luxury, as they have refused time and time again to give us the knowledge, as you know,” Sunset retorts, to a sigh from the other unicorn.

“As your deputy, I'll do what you tell me, but I don't believe this shall end well,” She says, before heading down the Spirit Rock.

“You'll accept it one way or another, Moondancer. One way or another,” Sunset replies with a smirk, facing the sky as a shooting star flies across, before heading back to her den, to await the next sunrise.
