The day began as normal for Score. He woke up, ate breakfast, showered, combed his black mane, brushed his grey fur, and headed to work as usual. The signs were there that today would be different though. His alarm clock didn’t go off, there was an upright leaf in his tea, and, of course, his idiot friends were waiting for him when he got to the gym.
“Wassup dude,” Hoops, the larger of his two friends, greeted him. Score responded with a simple nod as he unlocked the door to the gym.
“Quiet as ever eh?” Dumb-Bell said with a smile as he leaned against the door. Score calmly pushed him off so he could open it and walked inside. He had already closed and relocked it by the time his friend could respond.
“Aw c’mon, Score,” the larger tan pegasus complained,” Can’t you let us in just this once?”
Score shook his head and pointed to the notice posted on the glass doors. It clearly read,” Nopony allowed in without a membership.”
“You know we can’t afford a membership, pal,” this time it was Dumb-Bell’s turn to whine,” You used to work at the factory. It’s just this once.” Score shook his head again. “We’ll be gone before you have to open.”
“Yeah nopony has to know,” Hoops added his two cents.
Score sighed and rubbed his rubbed his forehead. Dumb-Bell was nothing if not persistent, and Hoops wouldn’t leave as long as Dumb-Bell was here. It would probably just be easier to let them in. And he did have at least an hour before anypony else showed up. He made a mental note not to tell his friends that he liked showing up for work early at his next job.
Score nodded to his friends and flicked the lock on the door. Hoops threw it open immediately and rushed into the gym, no doubt forgetting that they didn’t actually have a court. Dumb-Bell on the other hand was at least courteous enough to close the door behind him and shoot his friend a, “Thanks man,” before dashing past reception.

With that done, Score rested his forelimbs under the bar and Dumb-Bell started lifting. The larger pegasus tried to focus his mind on something else as his brown friend hefted the weight. Primarily he attempted to think about a song of some sort in order to avoid thinking of his friend grunting provocatively from between his legs. This tried and true method worked as well as usual, and kept his arousal down at least enough to prevent a boner. He didn’t succeed in keeping his wings folded, but he doubted that Dumb-Bell would notice from his position.
After an oddly short set of lifts Dumb-Bell moved the bar back and sat up. “Care to have a go yourself Score?” he asked.
Score shook his head.
“Aw c’mon pal. You know you need to work on those forelegs of yours.” If Score didn’t know better he would have said his friend sounded tired. As it was he sounded almost annoyed.
The grey pegasus sighed and nodded. No doubt Dumb-Bell would argue until his boss arrived, and he didn’t have time for that. A set or two couldn’t hurt anyway.
Score laid down and began playing his song again. This part wasn’t as bad because there wasn’t as much grunting, but he still had to lie between Dumb-Bell’s legs.
“Scootch back a little,” he heard his friend say. It always started like this. Score lying too far away and making things awkward. He complied quickly and got into a more fitting position under the bar. “Little farther,” Dumb-Bell said again. That was kind of strange. He could see and reach the bar just fine. Still he complied and sure enough the next thing that happened was his head falling back and his mane falling away from his eyes.
What followed was an abrupt stop to the music in his head as he found himself staring at Dumb-Bell’s noticeably large stallionhood. “That’s about right,” his friend said in what he probably thought was a seductive tone.

Only Dumb-Bell managed to stop and shoot him a, “Thanks for the help pal,” before moving out of sight. He did however also peek his head around the corner long enough to also shoot Score a, “No homo,” and a wink before leaving.
Score simply shook his head and smiled before heading toward the gym showers. If he was quick he might still be able to get ready before Snowflake showed up.
