Invaders

General Flash Sentry had arranged for a meeting with Princess Celestia and Luna to disclose the information the team had recovered, following the incident over the alien base. Cloud chaser had distributed the orders to the rest of the Wonderbolts, and as such increased patrols began to take off from bases across Equestria. Some however would report similar incidents to that of the first squadron to have encountered the threat, but most got away far quicker. No one knew about the actual threat, just that there was a threat, and that was all they needed to know until things got serious enough to warrant them learning of the existence of the aliens.

Princess Celestia stepped through the door into the small cubicle room, with no windows and a long table, and numerous chairs.

Celestia walked over to the head of the table, while Luna followed after her, having stepped through the door a moment later. The two pulled out chairs and sat down, Luna crossing her arms and Celestia waiting politely with her hands in her lap.

The General stepped into the room from a separate door, holding a few folders and numerous stacks of paper. He walked over, and sat down across from Luna, placing the items on the table.

" We have a problem. " he says, cupping his hands and putting his elbows on the table.

"Out with it then." Luna orders.

" We have not only reports, but confirmed cases of unknown entities, classified as Non-Native tier 0 threats, attacking Air patrols with Advanced anti air weaponry, the likes of which are seen only in Science Fiction. " Flash Sentry says, passing Photos out to the two Princesses.

As Celestia and Luna examined the images, he continued.

" The aliens, as intelligence has dubbed them, do not display any signs of biological function. They are likely robots. There weapons are reportedly blue laser beams and, as well, they seem to be guarding these installations, the origin of which we do not know."

Celestia places the photo down, turning towards Flash Sentry "Are we absolutely sure this is 100% true?" She asks, concern drifting into her voice.

" Yes. Spitfire and her squadron, as well as the recon team sent to investigate, can attest to that. " He says, pulling the After-Action report out of the pile of papers, reading it out loud.

" After action report, June 2, 4034.

The Team touched down alright, no hitches, nothing. We spent three hours walking to the recon point.

along the way the bodies of the air patrol where found about half a  kilometer away  from the unidentified base. All three where KIA, presumably from the gaping wholes in their bodies where the weapons fire from something had gotten them.

Approach to the base was made difficult by the movement of large bipedal, digitigrade robots about twice the size of the Average pegasus, this was likely a patrol. The robots walk on two legs, a large elongated pod on top of the chassis, armed with a large barrel that is presumably its main weapon. After making it close enough to see, the team set up in a series of trees around the base, and took numerous photos, of which are encased in the file attached. After an hour of photo taking, the team left the area, a maker placed in one of the larger trees in the area. " Flash Sentry finishes the After Action Report, putting it down and looking at Celestia and Luna, waiting for a response.

After a moment, Celestia and Luna absorb what they have heard, Celestia being the first to speak.

" Do we know numbers of bases, locations, troop movements, Anything that might help us should they be willing to attack Equestrian towns or cities?" Celestia asks, her voice becoming far stern and serious.

" We only know the locations of maybe ten, but there all close to military bases and cities alike. They might be preparing an assault, but we need actionable intelligence to work with. " Flash Sentry says. "There have also been reports of similar things in the Griffon country, as well as the canine states and other pony nations such as Prance. "

" Mobilize an entire battalion, and evacuate the entirety of the threatened areas. If possible, set up outposts to keep an eye on those bases." Luna says. " Inform me if this foe starts marching in greater numbers on any of the towns or major cities. Pay special attention to the cities."

" We can't hide the existence of these if we do that. " Flash Sentry says, adding " Are we going to tell the public?"

"Yes, we have no choice."
