There's a lot about the great city of Manehattan that Twilight Sparkle doesn't know, most of which she just takes for granted. She always assumed it was just the same as Canterlot, except with less stuck-up aristocrats and more hard-working business ponies.

But while in town for the grand opening of Rarity for You, Twilight is reminded of one thing about Manehattan that no amount of comparisons to Canterlot can explain. She's one of five magical alicorn princesses, and she can't get a cab to even look at her.
