Chapters All of the newest books in Twilight Sparkle's library have been fully organized, along with some of the old books that she took pride in having in her library. And you were just very happy that everything was organized for her. And not just because of your desire to see some organization as well. But you also happen to have just a tiny bit of a crush on the newest Princess of the land. And for some reason, you started to believe that Twilight was starting to tease you a bit.
And this kept on for only a short while, knowing that her ways were just too cute to not notice. Her attempts at teasing were just amateurish to yours. And you would always win with making her blush just a bit.
After taking a water bottle to drink from it, after about three hours of sorting the titles of the books by some random order that Twilight needed help in organizing, you realize that the Princess has been trying to call you.
"Hello? Anon? Equestria to Anon! Can you hear me?" she calls out to you before she lightly slaps the tip of her wing to your side. This makes you yelp from the surprising wake up call that nearly tickles you.
"No, I don't think you're cute!" you shout out immediately, causing her to step back from you for a bit. Both you and the Princess had felt your faces burn up with the embarrassment that came about from your little sentence.
"Uh.... what did you just say?" Twilight asks you.
"Nothing! I didn't say anything!" you try to whistle your way out, hoping that the Princess would just ignore what you said a moment ago as you try to walk away from her.
"Anon," she groans at you, somehow making her way to your face in a flash. "Tell me, Anon. What did you say?" she asks you in a moment of getting in your face.
Feeling defeated, knowing that she was able to teleport to your location at any time, you took a deep breath and lowered yourself to her eye level. And as you look into her deep amethyst-colored eyes, you felt your face burning hotter.
"I tried to say that you don't look cute, but.... that was just a lie," you started to confess. "And cute doesn't even come close to how I feel about you, Twilight." You then take your hands and wrap them around one of her fore hooves. "It was just a few months ago when we first met," you start to say to her, remembering what you could about the first time that you met the Princess who became your friend. "You allowed me to have a job as your Royal Librarian, a place to stay, and the company of a great friend. One that even I never had back on my planet. So.... what I was trying to say.... *sigh* is... you're very beautiful, Twilight. And.... I love you, Twilight."
The feeling of a heavy load in your heart had soon lifted off of you, prompting you to give her a small smile. "And I know that it's only been a few months, but I'd very much like--- mmm?"
Your words were cut off by a soft pair of lips kissing yours as a pair of purple wings and fore hooves wrap around your face and shoulders. Even though you were as much of a stranger to feeling a pony's lips on your own lips, you knew that her pecks on your face said exactly what you did not expect for her to say.
"Will you be my special somepony? Please? Pllleeeeaaaasssseeeee?" she begs you, putting on a cute face that nearly cringes your face from how adorable she was now becoming.
"Can we cuddle with each other if I say yes?" you then ask her, feeling a little brave yourself.
"Yes! We can totally cuddle," she squeaked.
"Then I say yes, Twilight. I'll be your special somepony. Just as I wish for you to be my special girl," you say to her with a loving smile.
More kisses were exchanged between the two of you while you wrapped your arms around her shoulders, being careful not to hurt the wings that were also wrapping around you as they accompanied the fore hooves that wrapped around your sides.
Some minutes later, the both of you end up at your room with the small Alicorn wrapping around your whole body in the most adorable way possible. It was just in the middle of the day, so there was no need for you to change into a pair of pajamas. And you were not feeling tired at all, despite how you had just confessed your love for your new girl-- mare friend.
And as you both take a side on your bed, Twilight begins to nuzzle your face with hers, rubbing her nose on yours in the new affection that you always wanted to see from her.
"I am going... to do my best... to make you... happy with me, Twilight," you say to her as your lips kisses hers a bit longer.
"Thank you, Anon. I know... that... you will," she sighs while feeling your lips on hers.
The both of you take your positions and start to close your eyes. But not out of feeling tired, nor for the sake of thinking that you might just wake up from a good dream. But because you now had a special somepony.
"I love you, Twilight."
"I love you too, Anon."
And thank goodness for those months of being her good friend, first. If not, things would have been awkward. But you didn't give an inch for your 'what-if' scenarios to take a mile at.
It was just another day of work at the Sweet Apple Acres farm. You and Applejack had decided to call it a day, after working for about six hours with only using your hands to lift up the bushels into the cart to be delivered to the barn near the Apple family house. You still weren't as used to working hard in an open farm, but you were getting there. Day after day, after a few months of arriving in Ponyville, you and Applejack became quite the team with the harvesting of the crops that your best friend's kin were able to make annually. You definitely knew that you were not as strong as even her , but you still loved being with her.
"So, whaddya think we should do, after we discuss yer payment, Anon?" Applejack asks you. She then notices your smiling face and touches your leg softly. "Ya alright there, Anon?" she asks you again, prompting you to look at her after she snaps you from your train of thought.
"Hmm? Oh, yes. I'm fine, Applejack. How about you?" you respond to her, your smile not leaving your face.
"Well, Ah'm feelin' ready to call it a day! Whew!" she exclaims as her left front hoof wipes off the sweat that you see from her brow. "And Ah'm ready to have my lunch," she tells you while you both start to walk to the family house. "Ya want some food, Anon?" she requests of you, hoping that you might stay for a little bit.
"Yeah... I can eat some lunch. Thank you, Applejack," you reply to her as you soon found yourselves at the door. You decide to be the gentlecolt , as it is heard in the town from a few blocks away, by letting her in the door first.
"Thank ya kindly, Anon," she smiles at you before slowly trotting her way into the home. "Granny Smith? Is the soup on?" she calls to the elderly pony from the door.
"Come an' get it while it's hot!" Granny Smith calls back. And just like that, your stomach starts growling wildly. "Ah think that somepony here is gettin' mighty hungry," she then chuckles at you when she peeks her head to you.
"That I am, Ms. Smith," you nod to her respectively.
An hour later, you and Applejack, along with Big Macintosh (otherwise called 'Big Mac') and Apple Bloom, had eaten up some great soup and apple fritters. And to finish it off, you received a bottle of apple juice to drink. When you first arrived in the town of Ponyville, you didn't have the ability to know a good product from a bad one. Luckily, as you continued to work at the farm, you had been trained by your working partner to spot the difference for any food or drink.
"So, uh, Applejack?" you start to say to her, hoping to catch her attention as you sat on the comfy couch with her.
"Yeah?" she replies to you.
"I've been meaning to tell you something. And this is only because of how I've been wanting to say this for a long time," you say to her with some weight in your heart.
"What is it, Anon?"
"Given that you were the bearer of the Element of Honesty, I find that if I try to lie about it, you'll be able to spot it," you begin to say.
"That's true," she grins proudly. "Somethin' on yer mind?"
With a deep sigh, after taking a deep breath, you look into her jade-green eyes and say:
"For the longest time that we've been friends, I've seen you for the type of pony that you are."
She nods at you, begging you to continue with her fore hoof waving back and forth.
"And that pony.... is honest, hard-working, determined, dependable.... and very.... beautiful. The kind of pony that I know, deep in my heart of hearts, I can love as more than a friend, or as a partner in the working field. But as.... a special somepony. For me."
After confessing your feelings to her, Applejack looks at you with a blush that has the color that imitates Big Mac's fur coat.
"N-n-now hold on there, sugar cube! Whaddya mean, 'special somepony'? Does this mean that ya.... want ta be my special somepony?" she stammers at you, putting on a blushing face that you simply found to be quite cute.
"Yes, Applejack," you confirm to her. "And I had to say this because of how I've been without a gir--mmm?!"
Next thing you know, her fore hooves wrap around your head as she kisses your lips. Little squeaks, along with some bits of muffled crying, accompany her soft smooches to you.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Ah wanna be yer special somepony! Please! Let me be yer special somepony!" she begs you with a sad face.
"And you be my special somepony?" you smile at her, accepting her proposal with a kiss of your own.
"Yes!!" she cheers as she wraps her whole body around you, crying into your shoulders as you place a few kisses on her left shoulder. "Ah've been waitin' fer so long fer ya ta be mah speical somepony," she says to you with a loving smile. You could only respond with a short kiss to her nose, causing her to giggle for a bit.
"Cuddles on this couch?" you ask her, feeling a little brave.
"Eh, why not?" she says to you as she gets on top of you.
The both of you then lay on the couch with yourself at the bottom, wrapping your arms around her whole body while she takes her fore legs to wrap them around her.
"I love you, Anon."
"I love you too, Applejack."
And with a last kiss to each others lips, the both of you start to feel a nap coming around from all the hard work that the both of you did today.
Unknown to you, Granny Smith and Apple Bloom look at the both of you.
"Awww! Now ain't that just a great picture, Granny?" Apple Bloom says to her grandmother.
"It sure is, Apple Bloom. It sure is."
The words 'too much', or 'too much' , never existed in Pinkie Pie's vocabulary. And even you knew this to be true. Too many candies? Nah! Too many cakes? Never! Too many concoctions to make? Nuh-uh! Too many complaints? Never happened! Too much of the ability to make you laugh? Her ability was just perfect! And if there was too much of anything, it was how much she just loved to talk about many topics. But you still loved having her as a friend. And you wanted to let her know, from in your heart, that you wanted more.
You wanted.... to be her special somepony.
While you started working another day in the little bakery that Pinkie and the Cake family also work in, you had successfully created a simple white cake that was to be decorated by the pink-maned pony that you just loved seeing the work of. Within a few seconds of having the cake cooled off, you place the baked confection on the first rack that you see near the oven. And it is then picked up by the same boss of yours that was always as hyper in her behavior. And after seeing how fast she was able to decorate the cake, you could only shake your head with a chuckle.
Your small laugh soon makes her giggle with the same infectious laugh that made you laugh a little louder.
"W-what-- hee-hee-hee-hee-hee!-- is so funny, Anon?" she asks you while trying to stifle her laughs.
"It.... It's just-- Ah ha!-- how you... are just so fast with the decorating of the confections that I make," you reply to her with the same chuckles as you wipe off a tear that escapes your eyes. This prompts you to do the same for her as you see a tear about to drip from Pinkie's eye.
"Aww, thanks, Anon! You know how to take care of me, dontcha?" Pinkie smiles again as she wraps her hooves around your neck for a moment in a small hug.
This small hug was not going to do it for you. You take the initiative and pick her up from the ground. Before Pinkie gets to react, you give her a very big hug with your arms all around her body while caressing her mane. And Pinkie Pie gives a small squeak as you give her a tiny squeeze, accomplishing what you knew might happen if you gave her a tiny squeeze.
"Sorry for doing this, but I've been meaning to do this with you for a long time," you confess to her as she returns the hug.
"Awww! Does this mean that you've been wanting to be my special somepony, Anon?" she asks you quickly.
Aw, darn it! She caught what you have been wanting to say to her for the last few months! Well, you might as well say it.
"Yes, Pinkie," you begin to say to her as you place her back to the floor on her hooves. "I've been wanting to be your special somepony for a long time now. And I won't bother you if you-- whoa-- mmm!" You are instantly assaulted by a pink blur that tackles you down to the floor. Soon after, Pinkie's lips start to kiss yours with a bunch of smooches that make you kiss her back. And with the feeling of your chest going into flight.
"So, uh..." Pinkie sighs out after she pulls herself off of you, letting you get up from the floor. "After we get our work done, what do you say to some post-work cuddling?" she then asks you while putting on another apron. How she does that, you have no clue. But to answer her question, you decide to kneel down beside her and kiss her cheek, causing her to giggle again.
"I'd love that very much, Pinkie," you reply to her before adding, "If I can be your special somepony, that is."
Pinkie giggles at your reply, causing you both to laugh for a bit before you both go back to work.
"To that question, I say yes, Anon. Now: Let's make a few dozen cupcakes for some of the ponies to see."
"Right away."
Some hours later, long after your lunch break, you and Pinkie head up to her room in the bakery and begin to get comfy on her bed. Once the both of you are in the desired positions, you start to give her a lot of kisses. To which she replies with her own pecks on your nose and lips.
During those months of starting out as an apprentice baker, you were sure that you would mess up and get rejected on the spot. But the Cake couple were able to instruct you with how to make the treats and confections as great as they can be. But the big ingredient that was needed to make such wonderful treats was to show a loving smile. Just so that the same baked goods can be sold to any and all ponies who would stop by to eat them.
And even Pinkie Pie was able to support you all the way. And during the months that you kept up the good work, she would just praise you for being able to follow the exact recipes that she would have you make. Even the very same concoction that had some incomprehensible name, thus being called 'The MMM', that was a victim to being munched on. Much to the randomly humorous things that Pinkie would say, you still paid attention to her.
And now, as you looked into her baby-blue eyes, you could not have found a greater mare. Cute, hard-working, hilarious... and just the right kind of pony to cuddle with, in your opinion.
"I love you, Pinkie Pie," you say to her.
"And I love you too, Nonny," she says back, purring her random pet name for you.
And within those seconds, she lays back with you with her back on your chest, her soft fur coat and mane caressing your skin while you wrap your arms around her.
You had just taken your shower after an extensive workout at the local gym in Ponyville for a good, solid three hours. Having all of your muscles shaped up was really hard work, alongside with being one of the workers of a construction company that was able to make great properties for any pony who wanted a part of the land. And the soreness that you felt nearly melted away from the water that soothed you while making sure that you smelled a lot better than reeking of sweat.
And now, you were heading to your home, hoping to get some lunch for yourself. But it wasn't until you were just at the door that you hear the flapping of some wings from behind you. Immediately, you turn around to see the cyan-colored pegasus pony with a spectrum-colored mane and tail & a magenta red color in her eyes.
"What's up, Anon? Did you just get home?" Rainbow Dash greets you as she hovers near you.
"Hey, Rainbow! I was out of the gym, after a long workout," you confirm to her in your greeting.
"Ah! You feel the burn of those weights on you?" she then smirks as her hoof glides down your muscular arm.
"The hot water was able to sooth the bit of pain that I was feeling, but yeah," you respond in kind. "You wanna come in? I'm making some lunch, and I think I can make something good for you," you invite her with your hand at the door.
"Sweet, dude! I'm game!" she nods her head. You open the door and lead her to the small dining room (small by human standards) so that she can wait for a sandwich that you knew she liked.
"Peanut Butter and Zap Apple Jam Sandwich?" you ask her as the bread gets pulled out.
"You know me too well, Anon," she giggled a bit before her stomach starts to grumble. Before you could quip to her about making the sandwich fast, you feel your own stomach growl as well. That workout really made you ready for something big to eat. You lay out two containers of the same ingredients on the counter and pull up a butter knife to start making the desired sandwich for her. And for yourself, you decided to make a pre-cooked veggie burger with that same jam on the top of it. A moment later, you bring the two sandwiches and a few daisy petals on Rainbow's plate.
"P.B.Z.A.J. sammich for the pony," you say with her plate guided to her. "And a veggie burger with the same jam on the top for me," you finish as you sit down next to her.
"Thanks, Anon. You're the best," Rainbow says to you.
"Thanks, Rainbow," you reply back.
For the next few minutes, the both of you start to eat your food in silence, exchanging a few glances at one another on occasion. The times from when you first got to know her had come back slowly to you. She was a bit of an egotistical athlete, but she was able to make up for it with how loyal she always was with her best friends. When you got your job at the construction company, she was able to point you to the same gym that you needed to work out at for your ability to lift up the heavy material. And now.... now you were alone with the cyan-colored pony who always caught your eye. You had noticed a small amount of the jam dripping out of her food and chuckled a bit.
"What? Is there something on my face?" she asks you, amused with your small laugh. You pointed to your mouth, indicating that she got something sticking out on her face. She licks it off clean, relishing in the taste of the jam that she found. "Thanks, bud," she smiled at you.
"Your welcome, babe," you say to her with a smile, before immediately regretting what you just said with a grunt as you cover your face with your hands. Some words were not heard out loud, but you felt the need to chastise yourself for saying such a thing.
"Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa! Anon.... did you just call me a 'babe '?" she asks you as a blush appeared on her face.
Seeing no way out of the situation with a lie, you open your eyes and look at her. And with a nod, you confirm what you said to her.
"Let me guess: You wanna be my special somepony, because of how awesome I look every day? Along with how I make you smile with every appearance that I make?" Rainbow teases you with a smirk, causing you to blush madly. You could only nod your head a lot, saying 'yes' in your silence. "And why aren't you saying anything, dude?" she then asks as she places a front hoof on your arm.
Sighing, you feel the defeat of your walls changing your face into a sad one.
"Because I just don't have the words to be able to express how much I want you to be my marefriend, Rainbow," you say to her. "Besides, you don't go for the mushy stuff, as you so said to me on many occasions," you add to the conversation with a smirk.
"Hey!" she playfully scolds you with a light smack to your chest. "I only go for the mushy stuff if it is done in privacy. And in the hooves-- or in this case, arms-- of my special somepony."
"So then--?"
"Just shut up and kiss me, Anon!"
And just like that, you kiss her fully on her lips. And with your arms around her shoulders, you avoid touching her feathers while keeping your lips on hers while you stroke her mane. A few more kisses and pets come around before you feel a tear forming from her eye. You wipe it off for her with your thumb, knowing that she might deny crying.
"Hey, Rainbow?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I cuddle with you, please?"
"Sure, Anon! Let's just head to the couch, we can finish our food later!"
And in a matter of moments, you take a place next to the pony before she hovers over to you and gently lands on your chest. Her kisses on your nose and lips tickle you for a bit, so you decide to take a bit of revenge by taking your fingers to tickle her back. She immediately starts laughing out loud as she feels the assault of the tickling get to her. Some time later, you stop your tickling by giving her a big kiss. She reciprocates the same gesture with a small lick to your nose before she kisses you back.
"I love you, Rainbow Dash," you whisper to her.
"I know, Anon. Because I love you, too," she smiles at you.
And after a few squeezes and pecks, you both start dozing off to nap on the couch. The soreness that you felt from the gym? Totally worth it! Because of how you were able to finally confess your love to the fastest flyer in all of Equestria. And nothing will ever stop you from saying that to her every day.
Something was really cheering you up about the interior of the Carousel Boutique. And it wasn't the pony dresses or tuxedos that were being made or displayed. It was only the tip of the iceberg, in your opinion.
Oh, no. The one thing that really cheered you up was seeing the alabaster-white coated pony with sapphire-blue eyes and a royal purple colored mane and tail that were perfectly curled. And she was already focused on her work when you first heard her reply with how she needed to concentrate for a moment before she got to you. And after jotting down her needed jots on some paper, you see her take off some orange-colored glasses that were perched on her nose.
"Welcome to the Carousel Boutique, where every-- Ooh! Anon! What a pleasant surprise, darling!" Rarity smiles at you before she trots over to give you a hind-leg supported hug. You bend down to give her the same hug. And after a few seconds, you pat her shoulder blades to let her down. "And what brings you here, my friend?" she asks you, curious as to why you were in her shop as well.
"What? Can't a male human being just stop by some fancy looking place to greet his gorgeous looking friend?" you say to her with a wide grin as a small blush spread on your cheeks. Rarity starts to giggle a bit before she addresses you.
"Ah-ha-ha-ha! Oh, Anon! You really know how to make a lady blush, don't you?" she then says to you with that smile that always made your heart skip a beat or two.
"Mm-hmm," you reply to her with the same smirk. "And I mean it when I say that you do look gorgeous today, Rarity, as always," you further add to the compliment.
"Really?" she asks you.
"It's the truth," you answer her. "Now, I know that you probably have an order to fill out, but uh... do you think I could stop by again? I have to get back to my job with the flower mares down the street. But would you like a bit of company after I'm done with my work for the day?" you propose the idea to her as you take a step back.
"Hmm.... I think that's a marvelous idea, Anon!" she agrees with you with her eyes keeping their lock on yours. "And shall I make a light dinner for us?" she then asks you before you see her raise her hoof to her face.
"I would be delighted to have a dinner with you," you respond to her. "I'll even bring a rose for an appetizer for you to enjoy," you suggest to her with your thumb pointing to you.
"Lovely, Anon," she says. "And I'll see you later, darling," she waves to you before she goes back up to you for a hug.
"The same to you, my beautiful pony friend," you say to her with your arms rubbing her sides for a bit before parting yourself from her.
"Bye now."
"Bye."
Some hours later, you return to the boutique with a pair of red roses in your hand while having dressed up in a tux that makes you look good. Somepony had asked you earlier if you had a date, and you replied 'yes' to them. And they wished you a good time. Thanking them, you had made your way to your intended destination.
Before you enter the building, you look back to what it really was that made your heart yearn for the beautiful unicorn pony who was able to make such great clothing as that fashionable seamstress. But it was not because of her talent in finding the right design, nor was it in finding the gemstones needed to decorate the same items. It was how generous she was. Not only with her friends, but also with you. And all the time that you spent with her resulted in wanting to let her know your feelings for her. But even if she rejected you, you would at least be able to say to yourself that you were able to ask her out as a marefriend.
You open the door to the building and see that Rarity had pulled out all the stops to make it a romantic time. Candles on the table, a china-white tablecloth, and an empty vase that looked great in the center.
"You here, Rarity?" you call out to her with two red roses in tow.
"I'm in the kitchen, darling!" she responds to your call. "Do make yourself comfortable at the table, my dear! I've made some soup for the both of us!"
"That sounds wonderful," you say to her as you approach the table. "But why don't you come out here for a bit? I have something for you," you invite her from near the table.
"Coming~!" she singsongs her reply. And with her steps out from the kitchen, you see the same pony smiling at you like before. But this time, her smile is a lot warmer to feel in your heart. "You have something for me, dear?" You pull up the two roses in front of her and Rarity begins to almost drool over them. "Oh! Goodness me! A pair of red roses for moi ? You must be wanting to tell me something, Anon," she observed while looking at the roses as she also kept her gaze on you.
"It'll be said as we eat, but I decided to let you have a delicacy for an appetizer as we dig in," you reply to her with a growing smile. "Good God.... you are just as beautiful as earlier, Rarity," you sigh to her as your face brightens up with a blush that nearly rivals the color of the flowers that you gave to her.
"Aww! Anon, you are such a hopeless romantic, aren't you?" she teases you with that same loving smile.
"I try."
And with that said, you place the flowers on the vase and wait for the food to arrive. And just like promised, she pulls out the pot with a ladle in it and begins to serve you a potato soup that has enough lumps to keep you nearly salivating from how good it looks. And after you both start eating the food, Rarity takes a petal from one of the roses with her magical aura from her horn and allows it to be swallowed.
"Goodness, this red rose is especially tasty tonight," Rarity chimes up as you take a spoonful of the soup.
"I helped Roseluck make them ready for consuming and buying," you say to her, hoping to not toot your horn too much.
"And I suppose that with your desire to give me a pair of red roses, you have been wanting to tell me something that has been on your mind?" Rarity asks you with one of her eyes raised at you.
"May I be honest with you?" you begin by saying.
"Absolutely, darling," she nods at you.
"All right. *ahem!* Rarity?"
"Yes?"
"For the last few months that I've known you, I believed that I couldn't have found a better friend to confide in with my life. But... it was during those months that I've befriended you that I came to an amazing revelation."
"And that was?"
"If I, a human in this country that you call Equestria, could make a friend with the ponies like you, Rarity.... then maybe I can allow myself to love a pony enough to call them my marefriend. But only if they would be willing to put up with me as their coltfriend. But I had also realized that even if I was rejected by said pony, then my heart shouldn't be cold against the wish to become just a friend. So.... Rarity?"
"Yes, Anon?"
"..... Would you like to be my special somepony, please? I could never hate you if you said no, but I would never allow myself to say that I didn't hear you out-- mmm?!"
Your words are soon cut off as Rarity almost tackles you from your chair, wrapping her fore legs around you as she kisses your fully on the lips with a deep push that surprises you before you kiss her back.
"YES!!" she screams out before composing herself with an embarrassed chuckle. "I mean! *ahem!* I would love to be your special somepony, Anon."
"Really?" you ask her.
"Yes, darling," she says with another kiss.
"Then, uh... would you mind terribly if I wanted to cuddle with you for a bit after we finish our dinner?" you then ask her bravely.
"Then let's not waste any more time, my love," she suggests as she softly clops down to the floor to take back her seat.
"Agreed," you nod to her.
Some minutes later, the both of you are on Rarity's famed red couch, having a good time with snuggling against one another. Some strokes on her mane allow you to feel not only the amazingly kept curls, but also the soft feeling of her fur from her ears.
"I love you, Anon," she whispers to you as she kisses your lips again.
"And I love you too, Rarity," you say back to her with a last smooch before you allow her to snuggle up comfortably on your body. And when the spell of sleep hit the both of you, it was only because of how exhausted the both of you were. But at the end of the day, you both felt that it was worth it.
And yes, it was indeed worth the exhaustion.
Another day had passed by for you. And as a man who worked as a forest ranger, you knew how to evade danger when it was absolutely needed. And you were able to help Ponyville know when the same dangers would try to go to the town that you loved to death. But today was blessed off day, meaning that no danger was present at the time. And no injured animals were reported to you, thus making your job a little easier for you.
Today was a day that you would just take the day off, as requested by your boss. And you decided to take advantage of the day by going into the town. You meet up with a flower vendor named Roseluck, who happened to be one of the proprietors of a flower shop that had great floral selections for you to choose. You picked out a cherry blossom from her, paying three bits for it. And as you left, you focus your sights on the edge of the town.
And on the edge of the town was a place, and a pony, that you wanted to go today:
Fluttershy's cottage.
Some minutes later, you arrive at the doorstep of the house and knock three times on the door. On the other side of the door, you hear a squeak that tells you that the resident is quite surprised.
"Uh... w-w-who is it?" the voice asks from the opposite side.
"It's Anon, the human forest ranger," you announce yourself.
"Oh my goodness! Anon! Uh... hold on, let me get the door, okay?" she says to you from the door.
"Take your time, Fluttershy," you nod to the door, knowing that the timid, cream-colored pegasus was about to unlock the door for you. The door then opens up slowly before a small, beautiful looking pony with cream-colored wings, a pink mane and tail and teal blue eyes looks at you. "Hi there, pretty pony," you salute to her with an imaginary hat on your head.
"Oh! Uh.... h-hi, Anon," she softly says as her mane hides half of her face.
"Only she could make that face look adorable!" you say to yourself before asking, "So, uh... May I come in and see you, Fluttershy? I have the day off, and I also brought you something," you say to her with a smile on your face.
"Oh? W-well, um... o-okay," she gestures for you to enter her house.
"Thanks, Fluttershy," you thank to her as you enter the house. It may have been a little small, even for your standards, but it was still quite comfortable to go into. "Here," you call to her after pulling out the flower to her.
"Oh? Oh, my! Is that a cherry blossom?" she asks as she sees the flower in your fingers.
"Made sure to get it for you," you reply to her.
"It certainly looks delicious," she then says, taking her tongue to lick it up from your hand. A second later, you start to caress her pink mane after she swallows the flower whole. "Um... Anon?"
"Yes?" you ask her, knowing that she was still nervous about being touched in the way that you did. And with that, your hand pulls back from her.
"Does... um... t-that is, if you don't mind me asking... Do you... do you always give my mane a caress every time that you see me?" she wanted to know, feeling just a tad nervous about asking.
"Well... not really. I mean, only if it is with you, because...." you start to say to her.
"Because?" she softly urges you to speak up.
The moment of truth had arrived at that moment. After summoning up all the fine points as to why you should ask her out as your marefriend, you take a deep breath and look deep into her eyes. And as you kneel down to meet her eyes, you clear your throat before you tell her why.
"I've been in love with you for the last few months, Fluttershy. And I give you those caresses because of how much I just love you. The way you gently take care of the animals? The sounds of your singing? Your kind nature towards all of the creatures, including myself? All of those, and more, are what have attracted me to you, Fluttershy. And I am just very happy to have been able to call you my great friend. But now....? Now.... I have looked into my heart, and it says to ask you to be my special somepony."
A moment of silence passes by the both of you before you face her once again.
"No matter what your answer will be, just know that I-- mmm??"
Fluttershy, in a surprisingly assertive move, kisses your lips while keeping her wings around you.
"Yes, Anon! I'd love to be your special somepony," she giggles at you with another kiss.
Feeling quite happy, you give Fluttershy a gentle squeeze before letting her down to her couch. You join her side and snuggle up to her.
"And um..."
"Yes, baby?"
"Can-can I, uh, that is.... can I cuddle with you, please?" she asks you before she takes her eyes to fully meet yours.
"Yes. Yes you may," you nod to her. And with that, you feel her hooves wrap around your face before she kisses you on the lips again, this time allowing you to kiss her back fully. "And I have been wanting to say this to you for a long time, Fluttershy..." you tell her as she gets comfortable on your body.
"Yes?"
"I love you."
.....
.....
"I love you too, Anon."
And after a moment of kisses and nuzzles with her, you close your eyelids and sigh lovingly.
This feeling... was much better than having to worry about some random creature in the Everfree Forest. And even your loving pegasus pony felt the same way.
