For a while now, Equestria has unknowingly been living under the rule of the Changelings.

Queen Chrysalis knew she stood no chance. Equestria was far too strong, and her kingdom was weak with hunger. So she picked out three young changelings, expertly-trained and ready to go undercover. Ever since then, Equestria's beloved Princesses of Day, Night, and Love have been replaced.
