Dreams & Demons

The clock currently read 0000:00:00:00:04:00, which is 4 minutes left, until the binds on Nightmare Moon was released. That was the moment, I would lose her. I could not, let that happen.

But first, I had some things I had to take care of, like giving Nightmare Moon some things. I went searching for Nighty, and found her packing up her things, planning to take them with her. It seemed her entire plan was to take off the moment the clock hit zero. She was packing things like her new clothes, potions she had learned to create, a ton of ingredients...

You know, things she would need.

“Nighty..? I prepared some... things, for you...” I mumbled, feeling shy at that moment. I made a duffel bag appear, one that she knew. A bag that was magical, able to hold an infinite amount of objects, and able to give you objects that you need from it, just by thinking about what you wanted. Nightmare turned towards me, curious.

“What is it..?" she questioned, truly curious. I grinned happily, and reached into the bag. From it, I retrieved, a set of moonstone armor, that was changed. It had pieces of obsidian laced against it, to show a light and dark style. This also reinforced the armor, making it stronger than ever. The moment she saw it, all of the work creating it, became all worth it. "OH! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!”.

She hugged and nuzzled me, and, while hiding a blush, I nuzzled her back too. She felt so soft, better than any blanket, carpet, or anything in the universe. She smelled like a mix of fruit, which made me wonder if she was wearing a perfume. If I had to describe it, it was like a fruit...

Perhaps a bit of blueberry and Apple?

"Well, its not just that! Look at this... and this!" I continued to remove items from the bag, and with each item, her eyes grew bigger and bigger, a blush forming on her shocked face. The next item I had removed, was a large war axe, made of obsidian and moonstone. The blade was in the shape of a crescent, and seemed to have dents and nicks, but they were intentional. With them, the entire thing looked like it was a part of the moon, with its many craters.

The next items were a set of regalia, perfectly mean't to embody the queen of the night. To be honest, it is hard to describe, but that does not matter. There was also anything she may need to prepare to escape enemies and go into hiding, like magical tents, trap parts, and other things like that. There was a hand shield, made to reflect any kind of magic, no matter how strong.

In the end, it was all an amazing thing for any pony to give, anyone, and she loved it.

"Oh my god... this is all... so much! Your so kind, Cipher!" she giggled out, providing me with true, utter music, in my opinion. That's what that noise was to me. Music, to my ears.

“Oh, I-I have a gift for you too… In fact, I have two!” She exclaimed, using magic. In seconds, I could feel a chain wrap around my neck, but not forcefully, instead gently, as if the item it was wrapped too was very, very important. A snap of my wings, and a mirror appeared nearby, floating so I could see.

Around my neck, was a golden pendent, shaped like a heart. This pendent had ornate designs carved into it expertly, showing that whoever created it was a true master of what they did. The more I examined it, the sooner I noticed the hinge on a side of it, and a latch, so if squeezed enough, it would click open. It wasn't a pendent at all, but instead, a locket.

My fingers moved towards the pendent, but she smiled, grabbing them. “Do not open it yet. Only when I am gone...” she said, quickly. I looked into her eyes, and I could see mischeviety.

She was up to something...

"So, what is this other gift?" I tried to ask, but she quickly avoided me, by becoming nervous. She had something to say.

“Cipher..? I have a… Request, of you…” Nighty mumbled out, looking at me nervously. I tilted my head, wondering why was she so nervous all of a sudden? A pit in my stomach formed, as I felt it meant nothing good.

“You should know, I plan on taking over the empire that my sister has built, but, that will take some time. Since I have fought with my sister for so long, I wish to do this on my own. Therefore, I am sad to say, I do not wish for you to intrude." she sadly spoke, but before I could comment, she continued. "However, I care for you. Therefore, I would like it, if in 10 years..." she became choked up, eyes watering. I can tell she wants to say something, but her pride is denying her it. However, her feeling is stronger.

"W-will you come visit me..?” She asked, nervously. I could tell she wanted me to say yes, and I just couldn’t disappoint her, no matter how hard it hurt me to stay away.

“Of course, mistress of the night...” I bowed, tipping my hat once again, with the same affect as before occurring, except with a different result. This time, she burst into a fit of giggles.

"Oh cipher, you are such an amazing man...". That line made me blush, heavily. I like it when she compliments me.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

I donned my hat once again, and looked at the large clock, which now rang loudly. It read, 00:00:00:00:00:00. Time, was up.

Nightmare began walking away from me, but, what she said earlier stuck with me, and so I asked again.

"You said you had 2 gifts for me, madame... What is the other gift?" I asked, wanting to just spend one more moment with this woman. In fact, I wish she never had to leave at all. Nighty instantly froze, and giggled to herself.

“I n-nearly forgot!!! I need to give your other, gift~” she said, a new aspect in her voice, but I couldn’t tell what it was. It was almost like a purr. She then spun on the spot, and…

She k-k-kissed me!

She had kissed me on my cheek, and, for a second, the entire world felt like bliss. My cheek tingled with the magic of an alicorn, and her... love, for me. This female loves me... SHE LOVES ME!!!

The moment was short lived, as her horn flicked... the moons bindings all collapsing at once, as she vanished. I did the only thing that I could do at the current moment…

I screamed to the heavens...

"SHE KISSED ME!!! A GIRL LOVES ME!!! WAHOOOOO!!!".

… And I waited ten years…
