Spreading false lies of the forest's dark nature and releasing dangerous creatures into the Everfree was necessary to prevent any accidental public discovery of the nature of the secret facility. Inside, scientists and wizards work side by side to amass weapons, both organic and inorganic, in case the Elements of Harmony fails to stop any threats that challenge Equestria.
