Sweetie Belle suggested. The crusaders had tried to enjoy their cutezenera, but they all were worried about their new friend.
"Or you could sleep over at the farm. We got plenty of room, and mah family won't mind having you over for one night."
Applebloom asked.
"Or, you could come to my house. My parents are away, so they won't notice." Scootaloo offered.
"I have to face her, the sooner, the better. And I have to do it alone." Diamond Tiara answered confidently, stomping her front hoof.
"But before I go, I should thank you for trying to help me to be better than her! See you at school, and congratulations on getting your cutie marks." Diamond said as she made her way outside.
"Wait! Diamond, I want to apologize for what I said to you after the election." Silver Spoon said.
She had tried to apologize when they were building the playground equipment, but Diamond had been busy organizing.
Diamond stopped in the doorway and looked at her grey friend and walked over to her hugging her.
"It's okay. I was the one who started it. I shouldn't have said that you weren't allowed to speak." Diamond said, letting go of Silver. "Wanna be friends again?" She asked. "Best friends." Silver answered.
"Wanna do the dance?" Diamond suggested. "I thought you would never ask." Silver answered.
"Bump, bump, sugarlump rump!" The two fillies started to giggle. "Let's never let a single argument ruin our friendship ever again." Silver said, wiping tears of joy out of her eyes.
"Promise, Silv. Now, I really gotta go home. Thank you crusaders for helping me become a better pony. Thank you Silv for forgiving me. See you at school." Diamond said, walking out of sugarcube corner. "Bye!" Silver and the Cutie mark crusaders said.
*in the Rich mansion.
"I'm home!" Diamond said as she opened the door.
"Hello, Diamond." Her mother answered coldly from the living room.
Trying to stay confident, Diamond trotted to her mother, who was reading the evening newspaper on the couch.
"How was your day, Diamond, after I left?" Spoiled asked, not looking away from her newspaper.
Confused, Diamond replied: "After the playground equipment was finished, the cutie mark crusaders got their cutiemarks, and their cutezenera was amazing! The ponies at school have respect for me again."
"So that was where you were all day. Well, I guess it's time to have a serious talk about your recent behaviour. What do you have to say in your defense?" Miss Rich asked, putting away her newspaper.
"I-I found out all those lessons you taught me were wrong! Blank-flanks aren't worthless, and those that doesn't have the same wealth as you aren't stupid, for example! You filled me with your lies ever since I was four years old, and made me a bully! I should never have listened to you in the first place! Punish me however much you like, you will never make me say sorry, you-you WITCH!"
Diamond bursted out in tears. All that anger and sadness she had kept inside her was finally let out. Stepping out of the couch, Spoiled kneeled in front of her crying daughter.
"Oh, Diamond. I'm so proud of you!" She said happily.
"Huh?" Diamond looked up at her mother, confused. "Yes, all those lessons i taught you were wrong on purpose. It was all to test if you would find out the difference of right and wrong. I was very happy when you got miss Spoon as a best friend. To me, it was a sign that you were closer to understanding."
"I'm sorry, my little Diamond, but if I stopped you from being a bully, you would only do so because I said so. Your father was against my way of raising you, so he gave you a few hints on the way every time he saw you cross the line so you would go on the right path. But he never truly convinced you, now did he? But one of my lessons are true.
"As a rich pony you must always think of your social standing.
Now that you helped the school get a better playground, you have gained respect from all of ponyville, and even some friendships. That is great! You have mastered the rich pony's hardest task. To make friends. The real reason that I haven't been around often is because of my social standing. I get invited to every event, but the ponies there aren't exactly friends.
Now that your training with me is over, your father will learn you about being a bussinesspony. But you already know a little, though,"
Spoiled explained, helping her daughter stand up.
"Now, it's late. It's school tomorrow, so you should get to bed. But first," Spoiled said before she hugged Diamond.
As she let go, she said the words Diamond never thought she would hear from her mother.
"I love you, little Diamond. Goodnight." "Goodnight, mom." Diamond replied, going off to bed.
*later, in Diamond Tiara's bedroom
Diamond had troble sleeping. So much had happened. Losing the election, standing up to her mother, fixing the playground, the cutie mark crusaders getting their cutie marks, and now knowing the truth about her mother's lessons.
Outside her room, she heard her parents talking.
"Well, you were right, dear Spoiled. Our daughter has grown to be a good pony." Her father said.
"Of course she has. She is our daughter after all. But I never knew her cutie mark was about getting ponies to do what she wants."
Her mother said.
"She will be though in bussiness negotiations." Mr Rich chuckled.
Listening to her parents made her relax, and she fell asleep.
*The next day at school.
"DIAMOND!" The crusaders shouted as they saw their pink friend.
"Hi girls." Diamond responded happily. "Are you OK? What happened when you talked to your mother? Are you in trouble?" They all asked in unison.
"She was actually not mad at me. I'll explain later, but right now, we have to get to class." Diamond Dazzle Tiara Rich answered, trotting happily to class with her grey friend.
