Corruption: A Demon's Love Story
Chapter 10 - Ethereal History
Previous ChapterNext ChapterLuckily Twilight’s friends didn’t question her much about her disappearance, and accepted her lie that she needed a leak. But soon the day has nearly ended, so they’re now cleaning up their stuff in preparation to leave.
“That was fun,” Pinkie says, cleaning up her toys.
“Yes, we must do this again sometime,” Rarity agrees, folding up her towel.
They continue to chat among themselves as they get ready to leave, until Twilight notices a familiar figure, looking around frantically in the sand a bit of away from where Twilight’s standing. Of course it’s Libi.
“Well I’ll see you girls later,” Twilight says, walking off to the demon.
“See ya Twilight,” Applejack says, looking like she’s about to head off herself.
Twilight’s friends say their goodbyes as they each make their way home, but Twilight has a demon to deal with, and at least Libi is now wearing something.
“Libi, what are you doing?” Twilight asks, surprising the demon and stopping her search.
“Oh Twilight, I didn’t see you…” Libi says, awkwardly, not looking at Twilight, “I’m not doing anything…”
“Don’t say such an obvious lie,” Twilight says, frowning, “You are clearly looking for something.”
“Lost a contact,” Libi says, hopefully, once again lying.
“I doubt it, why don’t you just tell me? Maybe I can help,” Twilight offers, still frowning, “Also aren’t demons supposed to be better at lying?”
“Well I’m no demon of deceit, but I’m usually better than this,” Libi pouts, frowning, “You’ve just caught me in a bad spot…” Libi then seems to consider Twilight offer for a while, “Fine, four eyes are better than two, I’ve lost my locket.”
Twilight does vaguely remember Libi wearing a locket, “Where did you lose it?”
“On the beach…” Libi says, sheepishly.
“So, it could be at the bottom of the lake as far as you can tell?” Twilight asks, sighing.
“Don’t say that!” Libi whines, looking like she’s about to cry, surprising Twilight.
Twilight has never seen Libi look so upset about something, for some reason it kind of excites her, that locket must be very important. Maybe if she helps her find it, she’ll see more interesting sides of Libi.
“So you sure you lost it around here?” Twilight asks, bending over to help.
“I left my armour here, so the locket may of come off while I was dressing or undress,” Libi says, unhappily.
“I see,” Twilight says, looking through the sand.
The two look through the across the beach for properly half an hour, and by now it is starting to get late and most ponies have already left the beach. Libi doesn’t seem to care and is still fanatically looking for the locket. Twilight is thinking about giving up, and going home to find a spell to help, but then remembers something.
‘Was Libi wearing the Locket when we were having sex?’ Twilight thinks, blushing.
Teleporting over to where they had sex before, she basically finds the locket instantly, laying on the sand. Twilight picks it up and brushes off the sand, it’s design is quite interesting. It’s love heart shaped, and on one side appears to be a lot of demon like creatures surround and worshipping a huge demon like creature, on the other side is a lot of humanoids with wings, worshipping a winged female humanoid figure, actually thinking back on it the huge demon looking male.
Unable to control her curiosity, Twilight opens the locket. Inside is a single picture, it’s definitely a family portrait, it shows the two figures on the case, standing side by side while two children stand in front of them, a classic family portrait.
The female figure from the case is very beautiful, she has very pale skin, silver eyes that seem to glow, and silver hair like Libi, her figure is modest but beautiful, like Libi has, which is covered by a lovely but not revealing dress, she also has two large beautiful white feathered wings, spreading out behind her back.
The male figure from the case is also very handsome, in a fierce way, he has black skin like Libi’s, as well as horns, his hair is flame red while his eyes are glowing red and slitted like Libi’s, he’s also very tall, towering over the woman and children, he wears what looks like ceremonial armour, but knowing demons this is probably just what he normally wears, also two dragon like wings are spread from his back.
One of the children is obviously child version of Libi, but the other one must be her sister or something, cause they look almost identical, beside from some striking differences. The other one has flame red hair, silver eyes, pale white skin, and has white feathered wings, also her figure seems more developed, with already signs of breasts while Libi in this picture is flat. Libi is wearing a cute looking, black gothic dress, while the other one is wearing a cute white summer dress. Otherwise their faces are the same.
‘This must be Libi’s family,’ Twilight guesses, before closing the locket and teleporting back to Libi.
“Where have you been?” Libi asks, looking under rocks.
“You can stop your search, I’ve found it,” Twilight says, ignoring Libi’s question and handing her the locket.
“What?!” Libi says, shocked, holding the locket. She then suddenly hugs Twilight, “Thank you! Thank you so much!!” she then breaks the hug before Twilight even gets the chance to return it, “I would of been devastated if I lost it…” suddenly she frowns, “Did you open it?”
“Ummm,” Twilight says, shocked and wondering how Libi could know that someone opened it.
“Did you?!” Libi asks, angrily.
“Yes, sorry…” Twilight says, slightly guilty, “But how did you know?”
“There’s sand inside it,” Libi frowns, holding it open and shaking the sand out.
“Sorry,” Twilight apologizes again.
Libi sighs, shaking her head, “I bet you want to know who they are?”
“They’re are your family right?” Twilight guesses, smiling awkwardly.
“How did you guess?” Libi asks, surprised that Twilight could guess who they are.
“It’s the family resemblance, you look similar,” Twilight says, happy that she is right.
“Hmmm,” Libi says, scowling.
“But what is your mother and sister, she doesn’t look like a demon?” Twilight asks, referring to the adult woman in the picture.
LIbi gives Twilight a incredulous look, “She obviously an angel.”
“An angel?” Twilight asks, never hearing about them before.
“Wow, you don’t know anything about Ethereals, do you?” Libi says, sighing, “First the demon kissing rule, and now this.”
“Instead of insulting me why don’t you just tell me,” Twilight asks, glaring at Libi, “Also what are Ethereals?”
“Hmm, Ethereals are sort of…” Libi frowns, seeming to have to trouble explaining what a Ethereal is, “Well, Demons specifically are sort of the embodiment of your animalistic side, your desires, your fears and your wants, like nightmares, sex, violence, fear, chaos and such. Angel are the opposite, embodying your sentient side, your peace, your restraints and civilization, like chaste, law, order, and such.”
“Oh, like Demons are the bad race and Angel are the good race?” Twilight asks, thinking she gets it.
“What?” Libi says, glaring at Twilight and making her flinch back.
“Am I wrong?” Twilight asks, nervously.
“Of course you're fucking wrong,” Libi yells, angrily, “You're just like most lesser beings, always looking for the good and bad side of things.” Libi suddenly walks right in front of Twilight, “You know who taught the first ponies to play the first instruments? A demon did! You know who taught the first ponies how to dance? A demon did! We demons help shape your race and civilization just as much as angels did!! We aren’t evil!!”
Twilight is now very confused, “What are talking about? What did you mean shaped us?”
Libi suddenly as has a look of someone who’s just shouted her mouth off, and said too much.
“Hey, you know what you ancient ancestor looked like?” Libi says, rubbing her head.
“No, no pony does, our original homelands were lost to the wendigos thousands of years ago now, so a lot of our ancient history was lost. All we have is what our ancestors brought with them to Equestria,” Twilight explains, repeating her history text books.
“Well what if I told you that your race once walked on her fours like a cows, had no magic, or couldn’t even fly?” Libi asks, crossing her arms.
“I would say go on,” Twilight says, totally interest, wanted to hear possible lost history.
“Well a very long time ago, when the world was young, the Ethereals were the first ones to appear on the empty world. Even now we are still confused whether or not we were at one point one race and later split apart, or as we are now, different races. But using our power we built upon the world creating it as it is now. Later we fought a war against our ancient enemies, that threatened to destroy our world and we won, cleansing the world of their presence the best we could. Later the other races appear, the smartest being your ancestors,” Libi explains, sounding like she’s just repeating a story she heard many times before.
“How long ago was this?” Twilight asks, also unable to hide her pride that her race, even back then was the smartest.
“Your race appeared about maybe a million years ago, although we appeared a lot longer ago than that, the war it self lasted maybe a million years it’s self,” Libi says, scratching her head.
“Amazing, but happened to make us like this?” Twilight asks, referring to her anthropomorphic body.
“Well, back then you used to worship Ethereals, each group of tribes worshipping a different Ethereal,” Libi explains, sighing, “A large group of tribes worshipped Demon and or Angels, eventually breeding happened between us and the first Unicorns were born, since Angels and Demon are the most magical of the Ethereals. Another large group of tribes worshipped the Dryads and like with the last tribe, breeding occurred and the first Earth Ponies were born, gaining power over the earth like the Dryads have. Then there was another group of tribes, who became the Pegasi cause they worshipped the Sky Lords, which gain them the ability to control the weather to a lesser extent, and allowed to live the clouds like them. The final group of tribes, worshipped the Sea Shepherds, and they became the Sea Ponies, living underwater with them. Which is why you now stand on your hind leg and have hands, since you are descended from Ethereals.”
“Wow amazing, I never knew that how was how we gained our magic!” Twilight says, wonder in her eyes, “How many Ethereal are there?”
“Six: Demons, Angels, Dryads, Sea Shepherds, Sky Lords and the Ferrymen,” Libi explains, smiling.
“Do any Ethereals actually remember all this, or is this just word of mouth,” Twilight asks, curious.
“Don’t know, maybe some of the more ancient one would, but I know the Ferrymen’s leader would, since she apparently as old as the world itself,” Libi says, shrugging.
Wow…” Twilight says, unable to think of anything else, she may have just stumbles across the discovery of a lifetime, but then her mind returns to locket that Libi is still clutching, and she decide, to explore this forgotten history later, maybe after losing her dick, “So your mother is an Angel, does that make you half angel half demon?”
“Don’t be stupid, you can’t be half an Ethereal, otherwise there would be more than six Ethereal races,” Libi says, angrily, “No I just have the ability before I fully mature to choose between being an angel or a demon.”
“Fully mature?! Are you child?!” Twilight asks, horrified at the thought that she might have been sleeping with underage child.
“No, I’m an adult Ethereal, just not a fully mature demon of lust, since I’m not a succubus yet,” Libi says, looking slightly annoyed.
“Oh,” Twilight says, relieved, “So I guess you can’t wait to return to them, after you’ve done here?”
Libi glares angrily at Twilight, before suddenly looking sad, “My parents are dead, and I haven’t seen my sister in nearly a century.”
“They’re dead? I’m sorry I didn’t realize, what happened?” Twilight asks, realizing that she just stepped on a social landmine, and hoping that something simple happened to her parents, like old age or…
“Ponies killed them,” Libi says, a grim smile on her face, “They did it to destabilize the peace between the Angels and Demons, since at first we thought the other was responsible…”
“But why?” Twilight asks, horrified and confused, “Why would ponies do that?”
Libi laughs a bitter laugh, “It may not surprise you to know that we demons don’t get on well with angels, and the same goes for them too, but we never fought each other cause we lived pretty far away from each other and stayed out of each other’s way. But later Unicorns started to summon angels and demon, to do thing for them, like you with sex.” Twilight blushes at this, “But at one point somepony summon an army of demons to fight for them, and then someone else summoned an army of angels to fight back against them, and that was the first time angels and demons ever fought each other, and ponies kept using to angels to counter demons, and vice versa, and soon they hated each other to the point that they were at war with each other, it didn’t help that ponies started to see demons as evil creatures and angel as benevolent creature, making demon lives harder.
“I doesn’t sound very fair,” Twilight frowns, still not getting what this has to do with Libi’s dead parents.
“No it’s not,” Libi whines, stomping her foot, “But when my mom and dad came into power as the new leaders of the Angels and Demons respectively, everything soon changed. My parents were already in love before they became the leaders, and after which they got married, brining forth peace between us, like the old times. But then some ponies killed them, causing me to be separated from my sister, and making us go to war with them, a war which the demons lost by the way thanks to ponies again, leaving us leaderless to this day, all those ponies fault.”
“But why did ponies kill them?” Twilight asks, still confused.
“To keep the balance,” Libi spat, anger clear in her eyes, “To make sure ponies will always have a weapon against us, ourself! Do you know how dangerous a combined army of angel and demons are, and what would happen if they for some reason would attack Equestria?”
“I don’t know?” Twilight asks, backing away from Libi slightly.
“Very dangerous, and we could easily destroy Equestria. You ponies are scared of something we’ll never do, so they make sure to keep us apart so they don’t feel defenseless,” Libi screams, sounding like she about to cry, “They killed my parents to keep their so called balance!!” she notices Twilight looking scared and calms down slightly, “Don’t worry, I won’t go on some pony killing rage, since I’m mature enough to know that it won’t solve anything, and I know the group responsible too, so you’re all safe.”
“I see,” Twilight says, calming down as well, “Well thanks for telling me, it’s good to know more about you.”
“Whatever,” Libi huffs, calming down, “It won’t change what is about to happen.”
“Huh,” but before Twilight ask Libi what she means she disappears.
Sighing Twilight heads home, realizing that she never asked Libi who the Ethereal’s enemy was.
