Corruption: A Demon's Love Story
Chapter 14 - The Dance
Previous ChapterThe dance is in full swing now, with ponies dancing, eating, talking or just enjoying themselves in another manner… beside Twilight. All she has done so far is rejected any offer to dance with her, telling her friends and family that she's alright(even though she's not), and getting more nervous, since she keeps seeing those strange ponies all over the ballroom.
“Maybe I should go back to Ponyville, just to make sure everything is alright…” she keeps muttering to herself, but never actually doing it.
Her stomach rumbles hungrily, she hasn’t eaten anything yet, but she dares not go get anything since she keeps seeing one of the strange ponies there, just staring at her when she gets close, scaring her away. No other ponies seem to notice them, she even saw a pony walk through one of them, like she wasn’t there. Is she going insane?
She needs to talk to someone, anyone, but fears others will think she's crazy and maybe she is. What should she do?!
But as if to answer her call for help, a strange mare enters the hall. Her beautiful black body covered in an equally beautiful but slightly risque dress, her silver white hair stylishly done up as is her face, with just the right amount of makeup. She basically glides across the ballroom, catching everyone's eyes, the lust of the stallions and jealousy of the mares. No one dares approach her, no one dares gets in her way, since she walks with a purpose and no one dares stops her.
Though Twilight doesn’t even notice her until she's suddenly standing in front of her, the sight distracting her from her worries. Before Twilight can ask what she wants, she suddenly offers one of her hands to Twilight.
“The next dance if you would?” she spoke in a familiar voice, but Twilight couldn’t think of whose.
“Sure…” Twilight answers, captured by the mare’s beauty, taking her hand.
Twilight is pulled into the middle of the dance floor, finding herself dancing chest to chest with the strange mare, with Twilight leading. She's so taken with the mare that she does not notice that they're now the centre of attention, everyone looking at them dance. Even her friends and family are surprised by the sight, stopping whatever they were doing to look at their friend dance with the mysterious mare.
“Who is she?” Princess Cadence asks Twilight’s gathered friends.
“No idea, never seen her before,” Rainbow Dash says, watching as the two dance surprisingly well across the floor.
“She is sure beautiful,” Shining Armour notes, suddenly getting a mean elbow from his wife, “OW! I meant it as a comment.”
“Sure,” Cadence frowns, before looking back at Twilight, “They sure look close whoever she is…”
Back over at Twilight who's gotten over the shock, she's beginning to get an idea who this stranger is.
“Libi?” Twilight asks, hopefully.
“You're so pathetic Twilight, “ Libi says in her usual sharp tongue, “I spend ages helping you to learn to dance, and you just spend the whole time moping about.”
“Sorry, I just have a lot on my mind,” Twilight says, finding herself looking instinctively around for them… but suddenly a hand touches her face, making her look back at Libi.
“You're supposed to look at only your partner when you dance, haven’t you learnt anything,” Libi scolds, frowning, Twilight blushing when she looks at her.
“You sure look pretty as a pony,” Twilight compliments, blushing slightly.
“Yes, I’m sure I do,” Libi says, not impressed by the compliment.
“But I kind of prefer your actual form more,” Twilight says, her blush increasing.
“Stupid…” Libi stutters, her eyes going wide and a small blush appearing on her cheeks too, “You really are a freak Twilight.”
Twilight finds herself chuckling at this, her mind being taken away from her worries. Being a good hypocrite, Libi finds herself looking over the crowd, trying to find what Twilight was looking for.
Then she finds them, her ethereal eyes stripping away the disguise: death, order, sky, land, and sea stare back at her with disapproving eyes, while she looks back, her eyes wide.
‘What are they doing here?’ Libi thinks, frowning.
Just then the dance music finishes, ending the current dance. Twilight takes a deep breath, surprised that she was able to dance so well, those lessons must have paid off. Though before she can think on it more, Libi tightly grabs her hand.
“Let’s get out of here!” Libi says, pulling Twilight off the dance floor.
“Alright?” Twilight says, confused, but allowing herself to be pulled away.
She only gets nervous once they reach the balcony.
“Wait Libi?! What are you doing EHH?!!” Twilight screams, as Libi drags her off the balcony.
As they fall, Twilight remembers that she has wings and catches herself, as Libi has already done so as she takes Twilight for a fly.
“What’s going on Libi?” Twilight asks, as they fly around the crystal palace.
“I got bored and decided to leave, I just happen to bring you along with me,” Libi says, dismissively.
“Oh, alright...” Twilight says, disappointed, she does not know what she was expecting, but she hoped it was something other than that.
Libi rolls her eyes when she sees Twilight looking downcast, before flying closer and hugging her, surprising the alicorn.
“Libi?” Twilight says, surprised by the usual display of affection from the demon.
“Maybe I wanted some alone time together too,” Libi says, uncharacteristically blushing, and was not a total lie, she did miss Twilight… a bit.
“Oh,” Twilight says, now blushing and smiling like an idiot. Those words making her feel very happy for some reason. Suddenly Twilight hugs her back, unable to control herself.
“Twilight! Wait! We’re going to crash…” *SPLASH!!*
Luckily the two were close to the ground and they landed in water, a fountain to be correct. Now what was unlucky, is that it is night and they're in the Crystal Empire, so the water is freezing. The two pull themselves out of the fountain, their wet clothes sticking to their body and making them heavier.
“You idiot, what if you catch a cold?” Libi complains, undoing her pony disguise, since wet fur feels weird on those not used to it.
“Sorry, I don’t know what came over me,” Twilight says, having more trouble getting out, “Can I have a hand?”
“Geez, come here,” Libi says, offering her a hand, “Let me pull you EKK!”
Twilight grabs and pulls the hand too suddenly, before Libi was ready, sending both of them back into the water.
“You idiot,” Libi grumbles, untangling herself from Twilight.
“Sorry, but… hehe,” Twilight says, trying not to laugh, since this whole thing is too funny, and failing not to.
“Stop laughing, this is not funny,” Libi says, trying not to smile herself, “It’s stupid… hehe.”
Soon the two start giggling uncontrollably, laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of their situation. In the empty park, Luna’s moon shining over it, the only sound is the two girls laughing in each other’s arms.
“This is so stupid,” Libi laughs, calming down.
“Yeah,” Twilight giggles, looking up at the demon above her.
She notices the moonlight reflect off her face, showing just how beautiful Libi is, moonlight dancing off her wet lips. Like a magnet drawing Twilight’s in, she goes up to kiss her, unable to control herself. She gets so close, so close that she can feel Libi’s breath, but Twilight's lips just meet up with Libi’s hand, covering her mouth, rejecting the kiss. Sadly, Twilight just kisses the hand, the closest she will get to the lips.
Twilight slowly pulls away, looking up at Libi who looks sadly back down at her, though Twilight just smiles, she has finally worked out something.
“I think I have fallen in love with you Libi,” Twilight says, blushing, but sure of herself.
Libi looks surprised, but keeps her hand in place. But before anything more can happen, something cold touches Twilight’s head, something colder than water or snow, something cold, like death…
Twilight finds the world going black as she falls into a deep sleep, the words of “Sleep,” and “Forget,” swirling around her head, while in her fading vision, she can see Libi look shocked at something behind her, the words sleep and forget sending her to sleep. Twilight does not want to forget anything, she just wants… just wants…
Twilight sleeps, and forgets... something...
Author's Note
I managed to get another chapter together... almost a year later, I suspect most of my readers have moved on. I will try and get more writing done, but it is hard to find the time and interest anymore. I've lost interest in MLP, I dislike some of the chances that has happen.
I should also explain what I have been doing instead of writing this: Uni, and making an adult game, if any are interested, here's a link: http://malumoculus.blogspot.com/
