A pegasus love story (and stuff..)
Rainbow Dash was waking up from a looooooooooooong nap on a tree branch at a local Ponyville park. (More like a loooong sleep on a tree branh in a local Ponyville park.) The moment she opened her eyes, she immediately noticed somepony in her vision. She quickly reacted by shutting her eyes and kicking the newcomer in the gut. When a loud "OWW!!" reached her ears, she opened her eyes again, noticing that the newcomer was-
"SOARIN SKIES, WHAT IN EQUESTRIA ARE YOU DOING HERE!!!"
Soarin was shocked, and stopped hovering. That was a mistake, because accidentally ended on top of Rainbow. He was scared to open his eyes, because when he did, the mare may just start yelling again. He hesitantly opened his eyes to see a sight that shocked him. Rainbow's eyes were shut tight, with her hooves over them. Both their muzzles were centimeters apart. Just one pu-
"I'LL PUSH THEM!!! LET ME PUSH THEM!!""
'Pinkie Pie, I am very sorry, but Rainbow won't forgive you if you do that.'
'Silly-Billy, she'll forgive me. '
'Nope, she won't. I recommend you stay out of this. Rainbow will deal wi-"'
'At least let me push her later!'
'Ok, I promise.'
'PINKIE PROMISE!!!'
'Fine... Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye. Their, ya happy? Ok, bye! '
'Okie dokie lokie, bye!'
'Back to the story... sorry 'bout that. Pinkie just happened to break the fourth wall again...
Both pegasi fell down the tree with a loud THUMP.'
"Sorry, Rainbow. It was just that my generous captain Spitfire saw I wasn't busy today and told I was going to just to drop off this letter from the Wond-"
"Soarin, give me that letter RIGHT NOW!" Rainbow had a determined look on her face. She ripped the envelope from his hooves and tore it open. She quickly scanned the letter. When the last word was read, she shot up straight into the air, fan girl screaming. Her hollors were loud enought that they could be heard all across Equestria.
Dear Rainbow Dash,
I am happy to inform you that you will be flying in our next aerial show. It seems that Fleetfoot caught the Feather Flu. She won't get better in time for this next show, since it is in 2 days. You will report for practice as soon as possible. Soarin will show you the basics of our routine, then you will train with the rest of the team. Make sure to bring your reserve suit.

"See ya, Dash-" Before Soarin finished talking, Rainbow speeded off, leaving a sparkling rainbow trail. "-ie"
'She's going to become a reserve. Uh oh. No. Spitfire isn't going to waste no time getting to Rainbow. She's going to tell her everything. Fleetfoot would also get to her, no matter HOW sick she is. Sweet Celestia, i need to get moving. I'm going to be late for practice. Soarin, why didn't you leave it at her house?...'
Rainbow's flight to the Academy
'What happened back there? No, Rainbow. It was an accident. Soarin explained what happened . But why did I feel all jittery? Why did I feel like I wanted someone to pu-'
"HIYA, DASHIE!!" A certain pink earth just happened to interrupt Rainbow's thoughts. She was tied to some balloons, and was floating at Rainbow's altitude.
"Hi, Pinkie. I said not to call me that. What are you doing?"
Pinkie looked at the blue mare in confusion, then giddiness. " Silly, what do you think I'm doing? Soo...." A mischievous look now covered the pink pony's face. "What happened today? Meet any stallions? Had any close encounters? Hmm?"
"You were WATCHING EVERYTHING!!!!" Horror crossed her face. She started to flap wildly, the shock of what Pinkie said made her struggle to keep airborn. Pinkie kept talking and talking, until Rainbow's wings were almost completely seized up and she had had enough.
"Pinkie Pie, I would love to stay and chat, but I have somewhere I have to be. I got a letter from Spitfire. I'm filling in for Fleetfoot because she's sick, so I have to head over there, and will be gone for a few days at the most."
Pinkie seemed crestfallen, but soon returned to her normal state.
"Okie dokie lokie, see you soon!" Pinkie suddenly started to sink down, which was weird, since she was supposed to float up.
'Oh, Pinkie Pie. Why are you so incredibly random?'
Sugar Cube Corner
"Hey girls! I've got exciting NEWS!" said Pinkie. The other 4 ponies in Sugar Cube Corner, Apple Jack, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Twilight, were there, eating cupcakes she baked that morning.
"So, today at the park, Rainbow was sleeping in a tree. Then this stallion that looked like Soarin from the Wonderbolts flew to Rainbow's napping spot and was pulling out a letter when she woke up. She yelled, and he stopped flying, and he fell on top of Rainbow. And guess what happened?!"
"Pinkie Pie, you are making no sense, darling." Rarity said. "What happened, and are you sure this happened?"
Pinkie replied,"I pinkie promise I saw this happen."
Twilight spoke up. "Wait, the stallion looked like the Soarin Skies, second in command Wonderbolt? And he landed on top of Rainbow Dash?"
"Wasn't he the one Rainbow danced with at the wedding?" asked Fluttershy.
"Did-"
"YES, YES, YESSSSS!" screamed Pimkie, jumping up and down.
"Where is she now?" asked the ponies.
"She got a letter from the Wonderbolts and had to be there to fill in for somepony. She won't be back for a while." The pink mare frowned, her mane a little flat and dull.
"Oh, Pinkie. She's just probably filling in for a show coming up soon. She won't be gone forev-"
"Twilight, you don't know that!!!" Pinkie wailed. She turned around and trotted up the stairs.
"Pinkie, darling, come down. What about you bake more treats? The plate is emp-" Rarity was cut off abruptly.
"EMPTY?!?! GET READY GIRLS TO DO SOME SERIOUS BAKING!!!"
