The Doctor was talking to a leader of a state, who was the same alicorn who can conjure up the sun, the same alicorn who broke her own promise of never rising into power, and the same alicorn who was a friend of the Doctor. This alicorn was also shocked.
“You also explained to me that the shadow-bond curse was destroyed, but afterward I had entered my TARDIS, she detected the enchantment anyway,” The Doctor added. “So, explain now or else I’ll attract you into a room without anything but a screen and force you to watch everything go wrong in your country!”
Oh, this alicorn was also taking her best not to tremble in fear because she had somehow unleashed the fury of a Timelord, all because forgetting about the curse her student placed on each other when they went to adventures once.
“I don’t know,” she croaked. “My student is suffering something I should’ve made a long time ago… But I swear, Doctor, if she didn’t fix the curse, she must’ve known… She must’ve known she would end up in a worse state!” She gave the angry man a smile which caused the Doctor’s steams to cool down… a bit. “Doctor! You can salvage her from the terrible thing she had become!”
The Doctor staggered a little bit. “What happened to Twilight Sparkle, Queen Celestia?”
He was responded by a scream of unusual anger followed by orders barked by soldiers and screaming personnel. He looked backwards to find a face, which actually caused him to freeze in horror. He was… horrified seeing his second best friend, next to a certain family, like a demon. The monster stared back with a smirk before lunging towards the stunned man, but she was stopped by Celestia who froze her through a stasis bubble. Because of this, the Doctor had completely cooled down to a degree that he dropped to his knees, staring at the eyes of what was used to be the most curious of all of his companions, albeit the most naivé human companion of all, if she was human.
Oh, who the hell was he kidding? The Doctor stood up, and looked closer.
“I’ve had plenty of my sorrows already,” he announced. “Let her loose. I have a plan.”
“But… You don’t recognize what happened to her…” Celestia protested weakly, as the stasis bubble was making her weak. “She… she was corrupted into… She’s not herself. She’s no longer who you recall she was…”
“I see that,” the Doctor remarked as he began to walk around the slowly collapsing stasis bubble. “I likewise see that her soul, which I could just see by staring at your cutie marks and your eyes, has also changed. I question how I will help now…” He pulled out his sonic screwdriver, a metal rod-like device, with an emitter on one end, a power core on another.
He struck his thumb within the device, causing the emitter to activate and emit a green light and a beeping sound. A few seconds after pointing the sonic to the still-stuck mare, he aimed the sonic to a pair of shades which he wore afterwards. “Ah! Sweet Time Lords, I haven’t seen this issue since the day… Well…”
The Doctor looked around and saw some other blue box materializing through a blue flash. The door opened to discover a familiar face, and a familiar muzzle.
“Uh… Where are we?” The Doctor who was peeking asked.
“Who’s the pony suspended… Princess Celestia! What’s going on!?” Twilight, who was glancing with his Doctor, babbled out.
The Doctor, the present Doctor, pointed his Sonic screwdriver and pointed to the second TARDIS. The Second TARDIS answered by thousands of beeps, causing the two travelers to retreat in. The Doctor, also moved into the same TARDIS.
Inside the Second, or Past TARDIS, the Doctor looked at the Doctor and Twilight.
“Who are you?” Twilight’s Doctor asked.
“I’m the Doctor, well, from your future.” The Doctor chuckled all of a sudden. “That’s odd. I distinctly remember myself telling me about this! Oh, I wish Amy Pond was here! Well, speaking of things, I want you to remember this!”
“I’m listening,” Twilight’s Doctor answered.
“‘Be warned for once companions fall, the darkness pull you back to the day you saw me step foot in this role,’” the Doctor told them, before scooting off.
The two followed only to be stopped by the TARDIS door.
Back in Celestia’s room, the Doctor was struggling to put a magic inhibitor ring on Twilight. Once succeeded, Celestia had to assist the Doctor push Twilight to his TARDIS. Later on, there was a moment of quick celebration before certain news reached Ponyville. Before the Doctor could go away to find a way to cure his old friend, a certain cyan Pegasus tackled him. The Doctor was then slapped. Attending at the Pegasus, he managed to smile before being slapped again, provoking him to stand up, causing the mare to fall to the ground like a cat.
“Nice to catch you again, Rainbow Dash,” the Doctor deadpanned. “Rather nice entrance. How's your life lately? Sorry about—”
“Yeah, yeah, just fix it already, you’re here to save Twilight from the thing that infested on her?” Rainbow smugly interrupted. “Since you’re wearing those shades, what you get?”
The Doctor removed his dark glasses and hid it, before looking at the TARDIS, which was currently being rattled by a series of knocks. He softly sighed.
“Seemingly, that shadow-bound curse is still in me which connects me to Twilight, and she’s not infested by something bad,” the Doctor answered. “She’s not herself in a way that I have to find certain ponies and artifacts that can clean the whole negative side of harmony. That, and trying to remove this shadow-bound curse before I fall myself back here, dead.”
“Can I come?” Rainbow offered.
“Sure.” The Doctor faced Celestia who was busy munching cake, much to the ponies’ and Time Lord’s amusement. “This time, I might need all six Harmony Bearers on this trip.”
“Why?” Celestia asked, soon after hearing the words. It got out slightly muffled, however.
“Because this type of thing needs friends. And rehabilitation with friends. Lots of friends. And a bunch of spells as well. Probably even more ponies my TARDIS will ever take!” the Doctor declared, bringing up his arms.
The TARDIS answered by opening its door, then shutting it. They all briefly saw Twilight, more or less amused, trying to escape the box only to get repeatedly teleported back to a certain region of the console corridor. He was rather upset by the current fate, but he knew it would get better.
He was the Doctor, and he saved people. He is certain he can save a pony from darkness.
“So… what do you think about my time machine?” the Doctor asked the four ponies, who were friends with Twilight and Rainbow Dash. “I’m certain you have some comments. I’ve heard a bunch of variations, usually about the size.”
“It… is a bit… bigger,” Fluttershy began.
“And drab. Appears like it needs a little decorating,” Rarity commented.
“Well, I thought Rainbow and Twilight were jokin’ about this ship,” Applejack confessed.
Pinkie Pie only nodded. The Doctor lifted his eyebrow and expected a reaction or something.
“Nah, they told me enough,” Pinkie said. “Where’s the kitchen?”
There was a ding from the console room. “She just added a kitchen. And a cluster of rooms. Hold on.” The Doctor walked closer to the console and focused on its monitor. “Woah, you sexy thing, did you just add a gym, a kitchen, a sewing room, another bedroom, and a cinema?”
Everyone heard a beep which more or less sounded like a yes.
“Oh, that’s why I love you, you little old girl!” the Doctor teased. “Anyways, let’s fly!”
Before he could toss the right levers, a knife almost sliced his neck. He turned around to find Twilight which a lot of knives. He wondered where she found the knives before remembering there was a kitchen. He immediately pulled out his sonic screwdriver and pointed it to the restrained mare. Instead of a green light and a buzzing sound, the sonic released a beam of yellow light and a sound similar to the air when flying too fast. Twilight, seeing the beam, immediately tried to evade it, only to drop the knives soon after it had hit her.
“Woah, Doc!” Rainbow Dash called. “Didn’t know you could do that?”
“Oh, you can thank your world for inspiring this idiot to add a magic button for a sonic screwdriver,” the Doctor explained while flicking the sonic in the breeze. “Now… who wants to see Nightmare Moon being as cunning as a foal? Or, a little Twilight Sparkle? Oh! What about three fillies being not actual fillies but constructs by magic? Hey! I know!” He flipped the dematerialization lever and started rummaging in the console. “Earth!”
“Hey, Doctor,” Twilight screeched in a rather disturbing voice. “What are you gonna do to me, huh? Throw me into a pit of Daleks? Huh? Answer me, you slave!”
He ignored Twilight. She broke his heart after all. She and Rainbow Dash were the Doctor’s reminders of companions who he didn’t messed up, then this happened.
“Uh… Doctor?” Fluttershy weakly called to the Doctor, who was staring at a screen while typing on what looked like a typewriter keyboard.
“Yes, Fluttershy?” the Doctor answered. “What is it? I’m typing the translocation address to refuel this ship, and oddly enough it’s on Ponyville.”
“Oh… okay…” Fluttershy began to walk away when the blue box doors opened.
Everyone, excluding a caged Twilight (thank TARDIS), looked at the doorway to find a mint-colored unicorn and a yellow earth pony. The Doctor groaned.
“Lyra and Bon Drops,” the Doctor said. “So… looks like you want to slap me or something. Do it now while this ship is charging up.”
The two answered by coming in, taking out an ornate bowl from a table in the console room, then leaving. The Doctor let out an “oh” for forgetting that the bowl was theirs. A few seconds later, everypony was staring at the Doctor.
“Well, why don’t you leave goodbyes and get your stuff? This will be a long trip,” the Doctor instructed.
He smiled as he saw ponies moving abound and going to their homes. He then saw Rainbow Dash staring at the room, apparently noticing how different the room was.
“You redecorated,” Rainbow Dash began. “I don’t like it.”
The Doctor smiled.
