Chapters It was a new day in Ponyville and Ben was at his house in his bed snuggled under the covers as sunlight poured into his room. The sunlight hit bens eye's and woke him up.
"Hmm? *yawn* nom nom nom" Ben stretched as he sat up.
Ben then got up and got ready to start the day by heading over to the bathroom to take a shower and brush his teeth. After that Ben headed downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed a bowl and a box of Rainboom flakes. He poured the cereal into the bowl and got the milk and poured it into bowl. He then got himself a glass of orange juice and sat down to enjoy his breakfast. After he finished his breakfast he placed the bowl and glass into the sink and remembered that he had to buy some groceries for the week. Ben then grabbed his saddle bag by the door filled with his bits and headed for the market square.
Ben was at the market square looking at his list on what to buy.
"Ok, OJ, Apples, bread, and veggies" Ben said as he read his list. He put his list away and then saw Fluttershy down the street.
"Hey Fluttershy!" Ben called out.
"Oh hello Ben, what brings you here." Fluttershy asked.
"Oh you know just buying stuff to snack on. You?" Ben replied
"Oh, I'm just buying food for the animals I take care of." Fluttershy replied.
"You take care of animals?" Ben asked.
"Yeah, I do." Fluttershy replied.
"Oh, that's cool. Do you need any help?" Ben asked.
"Um no, I can handle it, but thank you for offering." Fluttershy denied Ben helping.
"Oh ok, well I'll let you get back to shopping." Ben said.
"Ok then, talk to you later" Fluttershy then walked off.
'She takes care of animals. Hm, maybe I can use that to help her notice me.' Ben thought to himself. Ben then went back to shopping.
After 3 long hours of looking for the items and long lines, Ben was finally home with the groceries. He grabbed his key from under a cactus plant and unlocked his front door. Ben walked inside and placed the groceries in the kitchen and placed his saddle bag by the door. He then sat down on his couch to relax. Ben was still trying to think of a way that he could impress Fluttershy with animals.
'She seems to be shy when I offered my help so I guess that's out of the picture.' Ben thought. He kept thinking about it and then it hit him.
"Adopting a pet, that's it! That's how I'll impress her." Ben said with joy. Ben then got up, grabbed his saddle bag with his bits in it and ran out the door.
He then made his way to the pet store. He arrived later and walked inside. He saw a pony behind the counter.
"Hello, welcome to the Ponyville pet shop. My name is Julie, how can I help you?" Julie asked.
"Yes, I'm looking for a pet." Ben replied.
"Oh good, what kind are you looking for? We've got cats, dogs, and a few mystical ones." Julie asked Ben.
"Uh, I think I'll adopt a dog." Ben replied.
"Ok then, right this way." Julie said. Ben then followed Julie. He looked around and saw different kinds of animals from hamsters to Phoenixes and snakes. He saw one snake that looked like it had eaten a pony.
"Um, Julie I think that snake ate a pony." Ben said.
"Oh, don't worry that's our Moon snake, he ate Bob last week. Don't worry Moon snakes can't digest ponies. He ate Bob when he tried to mess around with it but ended up getting swallowed by it." Julie told Ben.
"I don't regret anything but its very slimy in here." Bob said from inside the snake.
"Oh ok, then. Are you sure he'll be ok?" Ben asked.
"Yes I'm sure he'll be fine it should release him in 3 days." Julie reassured Ben.
They then reached the part of the store where Ben saw different kinds of dogs. From Labradors to Weiner dogs.
"So go ahead and pick one out that you like." Julie said. Ben looked around for a bit he found a couple that he liked, then saw a small beagle puppy. The beagle looked up at him and wagged its tail.
"I'll choose that one." Ben said.
"Ok then." Julie then picked up the beagle using her magic and hand it to Ben. The beagle then licked bens face.
"D'aww your a cute one." Ben said as the beagle licked his face again.
Later that day Ben had adopted the beagle and was at home as it slept on the rug in the living room. Ben was sitting on his couch, watching the beagle and thinking of Fluttershy.
'Now that I've got a pet I've got to find a way how to get Fluttershy to notice me with it.' Ben thought to himself. Ben then felt tired and started to fall asleep on his couch. He fluffed his pillow and laid back as he started to drift to sleep.

And chapter 2 is now done! :D This chapter was longer than the first one and now I move onto chapter 3 so I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and let me know what you think, BronyZone out.
It was very early in the morning. Luna was lowering the moon while Celestia was rising the sun, some ponies were opening up their shops, Mr. Worm had just risin from the ground to sing its earthy song, only to be swooped away by a bird. Ben was sleeping peacefully on the couch with his puppy sleeping on his face. The puppy was dreaming of wonderful things a dog would dream of, chasing squirrels and chew toys. The puppy's legs started moving as if running and this woke Ben up.
"Hmm?" Ben couldn't see anything due the pup being in his face and took him off his face. "Now when did you get on my face?" Ben placed down the pup on the couch, making sure not to wake him up. He looked at him and watched as the pup dreamt of running in a field of squirrels.
"Aww he's so cute when he's sleeping." Ben got up and went to the kitchen. He got himself a muffin that he bought from his best friend Ditzy.
"Man Derpy makes the best muffins ever." Ben said as he was chewing. He took another bite and saw his puppy walk in and drink some water from his dog
"I have got to think of a name for you, but what would be a good name for you?" Ben thought as he grabbed another muffin. Ben accidentally dropped the muffin and the pup went to it. The pup sniffed at it and ate it
"Hey I was gonna eat that." Ben said as he watched the pup eat the muffin. Ben got another and took a bite out of it. The pup barked at Ben because he wanted the muffin he was holding.
"What is it?" Ben looked at his muffin then back at the pup. "Oh no, this is my muffin." The pup gave him a face no pony could resist. "Alright fine take it." Ben gave the pup his muffin. The pup barked with joy and proceeded to eat the muffin. "Boy, you sure do love muffins, hey that's a good name for you, muffin." Muffin looked up at him and barked with joy.
Ben proceeded on with his morning routines, and went to the shower. He finished his shower, dried himself off and fixed his mane. He went downstairs and saw Muffin running around.
"Well I guess your a little ball of energy, maybe I should take you for a walk." Ben got a leash he bought for Muffin and placed it on him. "Alright boy let's go." He and Muffin for a walk in the park.
-----25 minutes later-----
"Muffin, how did you even get yourself stuck in a tree? I only turned around for 3 seconds." Ben then flew up and grabbed muffin, however muffin wiggled a bit. because he didn't wanna go down. Muffin instead wanted to "chat" with his new squirrel buddies. However Ben managed to get muffin off the tree and back onto the ground.
"Now, I hope that this doesn't happen again." Ben placed muffin down, Muffin looked back at Ben with a annoyed face. "Hey I was just trying to get you down the tree and away from the squirrels, for all you know they might have rabies." The squirrels threw their acorns at Ben along with some rocks they had collected. "Ow, ow ok I take it back" the squirrels stopped at went back to chewing on acorns.
Ben brushed his mane which was full of acorns and pebbles. Muffin ignored Ben and started walking. "Hey wait up." Ben grabbed the leash and followed muffin. As they continued to walk along the path they heard birds chirping and rabbits rabbiting and the trees were......treeing, in the nest behind them, Mr. Worn had escaped the baby birds and went back to his home. In the distance Ben and muffin could see a cottage on a small hill.
"Hmm, you know muffin, I've lived here for a while and I've always wondered who's lived there." Muffin looked back at him and barked.
"Oh hello Ben, what brings you here?" Fluttershy asked, right before she saw his new puppy. She gasped in excitement and picked Muffin up. "He's such a cutie, what's his name?" Fluttershy asked. "His name is Muffin" Ben said, hoping it wouldn't make him seem like an idiot for naming his dog after a food. "What an adorable name for him" Fluttershy nuzzled Muffin and gave him a biscuit. Muffin licked Fluttershys face in joy and ate the biscuit.
"Oh um, I'm sorry if you came to visit me but I'm leaving in a few minutes. Twilight called me over to her house. You're welcome to come back later, if that's ok with you I mean." Fluttershy said as she placed Muffin down.
"Ok then, I'll see you later then" Muffin didn't wanna leave Fluttershy. "Come on Muffin we gotta go, Fluttershy is leaving in a bit" Muffin turned to Ben and walked to him. They then continued their walk around town.
-----45 minutes later-----
Muffin was sitting next to Ben who was eating a Muffin at a table, at Sugar Cube Corner. Mr worm was rolling down the street with a apple while a orange mare was chasing after him. "Y'all come back here with that!" She yelled as she continued to chase Mr worm.
Ben handed Muffin a muffin and took a sip of his coffee. "Well that was random" Ben grabbed another muffin but Muffin jumped up and snatched it from his hooves. Before Ben could say anything, Muffin had already gobbled it up. He sighed as he got up to go order another muffin. He walked over to the counter and ordered another muffin from Pinkie. He never really knew Pinkie that well but to him something always told him don't go into the basement. After waiting a few minutes Pinkie gave him his muffin. Ben went back outside only to see muffin had managed to get off his leash and run away. He dropped his muffin and grabbed the leash in shock. Ben looked around trying to find Muffin. What he didn't know was that Muffin was actually inside Sugar Cube Corner's kitchen eating all the muffins and other baked goods, minus the chocolate.

It's been some time since I've worked on this but I'm back, anyways I hope you guys enjoy it i know it was kinda short again but it's all I got right now since I'm working on a new story at the moment.
It was just another day in Equestria, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, the clouds were....uh, clouding... And there was a gray pony who was at sugar cube corner in Ponyville eating a muffin he had purchased. That gray pony's name was Ben. Ben had been buying his muffins there for the past couple of months now ever since his arrival in Ponyville. After a month of living in Ponyville he noticed a timid yellow pegasi with a pink mane and butterflies for a Cutie Mark. Ben thought she was beautiful like she was carved in the heavens by Angels and Ben wanted to ask her out but was too shy. Ben was thinking about her because lately he had gained the courage to try and learn about what that mare likes. Ben wished some days he could just go up to her and say how he feels and that she'd feel the same way because he is not going through bachelor dating again. Ben then finished his muffin and left a tip on the table. Ben then left Sugar Cube Corner and went to do his daily walk around town.
"Damnit why am I like this! Why can't I just tell her on how I feel!" Ben argued with himself as he walked.
"*sigh* what's the point she'll never go for me... She'll probably go for some hunky stallion" Ben put himself down. Ben wasn't paying attention and bumped into a pony.
"I'm sorry I didn't see you-....." Ben froze up as he saw who the pony was. It was the yellow mare.
"N-no its not your fault I really should have been watching where I was going" she said in a timid tone . Ben didn't even know the mare's name, so it was now or never to ask. Ben opened his mouth but no words came out, he was too shy.
"Um.. Are you ok?" The mare asked.
"E-e......" Ben was choking up.
"Um are you uh ok?" The mare asked again. Ben snapped back into reality.
"Y-yeah I'm ok." Ben reassured her. "I'm sorry I bumped into you by the way"
"No like I said its my fault, I have 4 left hooves." The mare said.
"Ok let's just say its both our faults" Ben suggested.
"Ok" The mare replied. They both dug their hooves in the ground.
"Soooo what's your name?" Ben asked.
"Um...I'm *mumble*" Ben didn't hear the mare that well.
"Your what?" Ben asked.
"I'm Fluttershy..." She said.
"Ok Fluttershy, its very nice to meet you, my name is Ben" Ben told her.
"Its nice to meet you too Ben" Fluttershy replied. The two didn't say anything and stood around for a couple of seconds in silence.
"Well um I've got to go... I've got to take care of my animals see you later... I guess" Fluttershy said.
"Ok then, see you later Fluttershy." Ben said as he saw her walk off. 'Fluttershy that's a nice name.' Ben then walked off to do his daily things.
