Hey how's it going people. This is my first attempt at a long shot story so I hope you enjoy it.
Another day in life (Revised)
It was a beautiful day in the land of Equestria, the birds were singing and the towns folk were happily going about their business. Shop keeping and market browsing for all assortments of goods. One stall in particular selling some of the best apples this side of Equestria. Managing it, a tan mare with a blond mane and tail tied in ponytails by red bands. The irony and clever meaning of this choice of style lost on most. She wore a red flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up, blue jeans and cowgirl boots.
"Thank you for yer business sugar cube!" She happily said to a random stranger that had stopped by to shop for groceries. Depositing the bits made by the sale into a small drawer for the exchange of change. Soon another but familiar face came forth.
"Well howdy there princess Twilight, fancy seeing you here!" Twilight had a darker purple t-shirt than her fur color, blue jeans with her cutie mark embroidered on the sides, and black tennis shoes. Her hand reaches into her pocket, out comes a coin small purse filled with bits.
"I just thought I'd stop by for a moment and pick up some apples for dinner tonight, how's business?" The farm pony lefts her Stetson hat a lift to scratch her head for a moment, before lowering it back down to her head.
"Its been steady ta say the least sugar cube, bout ready to pack up and head back to the farm for the day." Suddenly a Rainbow stream bolts towards the two friends at high speeds but slows down and hovers beside Twilight. Applejack's hat nearly fly's off at the sudden gust of wind hitting them, but is held in place firmly by a hand.
"Hey Twi, hey AJ!" The cyan blue Pegasus greets. "Hi Rainbow Dash." The other two mares say in unison. She wore a white and blue zip up jacket, the neck and sleeves being blue and torso being white. Along with black shorts and blue and white shoes. "So what's up?"
"Nothin' much sugar cube, I was about to..." *BOOM* The loud noise interrupts the trios conversation, they look towards the general direction and see a trail of smoke rising in the distance. The three worry what would have happened to cause such a thing.
"*Uhhh* Why does it always have to be this town!" Rainbow Dash exclaims. Then out of nowhere, a strange and loud thing came wiping around the street corner.
"What in Celestia's name is that thing!" The foreign beast being all black and on four wheels, with small black rectangular windows that faced horizontally on all sides of its upper body. It looked like it was made of metal that didn't reflect the light that shined upon it. As it zoomed down the market with ponies running left and right out of its way towards the sides of the street. Soon another strange and even larger metallic beast came rushing around the corner, this one olive drab and with a odd looking contraption on top of it.
"I think ya'll best get behind my stall girls!" Twilight gladly accepts the offer for shelter but Rainbow Dash's ego gave her a different idea.
"Let me at'em I can take it on!" As she was about to charge Rainbow Dash was enveloped in a purple aura and forced to retreat behind Applejacks stall.
"Rainbow don't be brash, we don't know what those things are capable of yet!" Just as Twilight had finished saying that, the larger beast of the two's windows burst open and what appears to be arms pop out of its broken windowed sides and a hatch had flipped open on its back. allowing a figure of another creature to pop out and take hold of the contraption. In that instant, a series of bangs and booms erupted from the large beast. As the smaller beast speeds by the mares with a whine, small *tings* could be heard coming off the fleeing black vehicle.
"Right...thanks for the save Twi." Rainbow dash says, ears folding with a sheepish smile.
On a small farm land on the outskirts of Ponyville, two earth ponies a stallion and mare happily work on their small personal garden while their young foals play. One colt and one filly, playing tag gleefully in the sun with a cool breeze and a open clearing that stretched far and wide and gave the little foals plenty of room.
"Can't catch me sis!" the young colt teases.
"Its such a wonderful thing we have here isn't it dear?" The mare whispers to her mate.
"Ha, got you!" Her brother waves a hand.
"Honey, what's that sound?" The stallion's hears perk up as his eyes scan his surroundings.
The foals sit in the field looking ahead of themselves now aware of the noises direction. The colt squints as a figure comes into view, approaching fast and loudly. It frightens the foals as it is unknown to them what this strange things is, that seemingly is charging them down. They freeze in place as the creature is short distance away and suddenly slows until it comes to a halt in front of the foals by a few feet. The foals tremble as the creature is now in full view of them remaining still, they observe that whatever the thing is it has two wheels and a metal like body of tubes and curvy block like parts all seamlessly connected. It had their full attention until something else that hadn't moved finally did. A black limb shifts a metal object outward allowing the metal creature to lean on it before the dark figure stepped off its mount. The foals now observe this unnoticed tall dark figure and take in its features. They did not know what to call it, but to its own kind it was something that was not as seemed. All they could tell is that it wore dark leather cloths with black sunglasses. Unbeknownst to them its eyes and CPU are hard at work scanning them.
His red hud displayed white letters and numbers constantly changing, before suddenly spelling out 'Species: Unknown Pony/Human hybrid' and next to that saying 'Treat: None'. It continued to scan the structure behind the foals for human life forms, when another two ponies round the farm house's corner and spot him standing next to their children. They both froze upon seeing this mysterious creature so near their children. Its head shifts left to look at them and scan them, it deduces the same results as the foals. *Boom* It's head snaps toward the direction of the explosion, it stares for a few moments before turning back to face the foals. Seeing no sign of human life forms, it turns back to its mount and reaves up the engine and drives off towards town. Leaving the farm family in shock.
At Sugarcube corner, A yellow mare with a pink mane sits with a white mare with a purple mane and another mare that was varying shades of pink between her fur, tail and mane. The yellow mare wearing a green sweater, brown shorts and sandals. The white mare wearing a blue dress and shoes. Lastly, the pink mare wearing a darker pink tank top and blue jeans. "Oh pinkie darling, these new milk shakes are quite the treat!" The fashion pony compliments.
"Oh I know It came to me in a dream!
"Well it was when a bunch off weird monster things that rolled on four wheels came to Ponyville and started wreaking havoc on everything, I'm mean they were fighting with each other at first! But some of them had packs and they had these really weird weapons that go bang bang really really fast and put holes in whatever they point them at!
Rarity and Fluttershy looked at pinkie pie with mixed expressions of shock and horror. Fluttershy timid as she is trembling herself. "Anyway all I know is that it all started with a bang! And that's how I came up with the idea for the flavor called 'the mysterious dark'! Made with my supper duper special secret ingredient!" Still bewildered at their friend's story, Rarity shakes her head and gives a forced smile.
"S-so pinkie...what is your secret ingredient?" Pinkie Pie was scooping out another bit as Rarity asks. "Oh its really simple I just..." *Boom* The trio sits strait up, not moving an inch.
Their ears fold close to their heads. Pinkie Pie and Futtershy sink down into their seats, leaving Rarity to take the lead. "Oh come now girls." Rarity trots toward the door. "Surly you realize how unlikely a situation like Pinkie Pie dream is too happen, despite your 'Pinkie sense' and strange supernatural knowledge of Twilight's Experience with the mirror portal, I assure you that..." As Rarity opened the door, she began to notice the commotion going on out side. The towns folk were in a panic, scurrying everywhere screaming and shouting, retreating to their home by order of the local guard ponies directory. "What in celestia's mane is happening!" The fashion pony exclaims.
"Look out here comes another one!" A guard pony shouts pointing a hoof down the street. Rarity turns her head toward the left and is horrified. For the things she saw matched Pinkie Pie's story. Two brightly colored wheeled beast go thundering past at high speeds with bangs and clangs. In that moment Rarity learned a vary important lesson, when Pinkie Pie says crazy things, they are possible.
"We need to find the others girls..."
"This is not good!" Twilight says looking out from an alleyway, checking both ways for the invading beasts.
"I mean I know we face monsters on a weekly bases but this is insane!" The three mares begin to cross the street, moving through the town trying to reach the princess of magic's castle. Most of the towns folk have already taken shelter in their own homes, the guards set up checkpoints though out Ponyville trying to incapacitate the monstrosities as they pass with little luck. As the three cross the road, Applejack spots one such blockade.
"Girls look!" The farm pony exclaims. Twilight and Rainbow Dash look as directed, seeing golden clad stallions putting boxes, hay bales, chariots and any other debris in the way of possible incoming contacts. They bolt toward them in hopes of strengthening numbers and getting some information.
"Sir guards!" Twilight calls as they near. The guard ponies take notice and wave them in.
Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Pvt. Short Sword take to the air. Cpl. Claymore lowers himself
"Madam honesty, I'll carry you there." Applejack nods. "Much appreciated partner." Applejack climbs on his back awkwardly.
Good luck sir guards!" Twilight waves and flies toward her castle, the others follow suit.
Back in Sugarcube corner, many ponies quickly took up residence in Mr. and Mrs. cake's shop, the married couple gladly let them in. Despite crowding room was made in the main dinning area, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie helping pass out bakery pastry's to calm the ponies and their foals. "Do you think the guards can hold the blockades outside?" Mrs. Cake asks her husband.
"I'm sure the guards can handle themselves dear." Pinkie Pie wasn't as happy or bouncy as her usual self, which concerned most other ponies, seeing how she could maintain a positive attitude in all resent major conflicts. Mrs. Cake approaches the down trotted mare with one of her foals in hand. "Pinkie dear, would you like to hold little Pumpkin Cake?" Pinkie Pie looks at the small filly for a moment before smiling and nodding, gently taking Pumpkin. The filly giggles pawing at Pinkie Pie's chest, making her perk up and smile herself, she nuzzles the filly.
"You foals always make me feel better!" Mrs. Cake smiles and goes behind the counter to reunite with her husband and colt Pound Cake.
Rarity cracks open the door to see the status of their defensive parameter set by the guards. She thinks for a moment, then decides to step out and ask some questions. "Excuse me, sir guard!" One of the stallions turn and nod.
"Yes madam Generosity?" He replies.
"Sir, I have orders to escort the remaining elements to princess Twilights castle, I was told to ask you for additional stallions for escort if they were here." The stallion nods.
"Sir we got incoming!" Everypony's head whips toward the direction that the guard pony had called from. Sure enough there was a lone bright red beast coming toward them at a much slower speed then any previous encountered beast they had seen.
"Colt you go inside that bakery with the elements, you three cover the door, the rest of you form up on that flank!" Guard ponies begin rushing to the beast's barricaded direction, swords, spears and crossbows ready.
"Barricade yourselves inside!" One of the door sentries commands, Pvt. Quick Slash nods. "You herd him, we need anything we can use stat!" Mothers and foals move to the back in the kitchen while able bodied stallions and mares began moving tables and chairs in front of the inward swinging doors preparing for the worst.
The guards outside hold the line, as the red beast draws closer at an antagonizing slow pace, the stallions and mares of the Ponyville guard ready and waiting.
"You there, Pvt. Swift Strike!" The Pegasus guard pony salutes.
"I need you to deliver a message to the princess, tell her that her friends are held up in the bakery and that we are taking contact, we need more help."
"Yo dawg the fuck these gold horse niggas doing?"
"Hell na they ain't done nothin worth that man, les go!" The doors to the car open and the two creatures step out with weapons in hand, the driver with an AK-47 and the passenger with a holstered pistol. The driver wore a grey baggy hoodie, with lose sagging brown shorts and black sneakers. The passenger had a blue and red basketball shirt, with blue jeans and tan work boots. The guards ponies were taken aback by this sudden turn of events. Now knowing that the beasts were not monsters but contraptions used by these aliens. The driver speaks.
"Hey you dumb ass fuckin' horses, move yo ass!" The guards gasp in shock The alien speaks their language. "Hey I said move bitch!"
Again the CO retorts "This area is restricted, disperse or be fired upon!" The driver becomes irritated.
"Awe hell na , yo ass did not just say you gonna try and shoot me!" He raises he rifle.
"Fuck that nigga, they all gonna die by a real nigga!" The driver runs forward carelessly, charging the opposing force. A few ponies peek over their cover and see the two legged creature running at them, they try to shoot the attacker with their crossbows, but are shot down first by the AK with a high capacity magazine.
"Retreat!" The CO commands. They run from the first line of defense in an to regroup but as the retreat happens the crazed driver climbs on top of the box barricade and sweeps another batch of guards leaving few already left from the small company that occupied the outpost. The driver takes aim and sprays at the remaining four, killing two and injuring one red earth pony mare, leaving the CO to dive for cover. The driver jumps off the box and walks toward the wounded mare, whom was shot in the left leg. The thug stands over her pointing his gun at her head and puts his foot on her back.
"What'd I tell you bitch's was gonna happen if yall didn't move yo punk asses! Step out from there or the bitch dies!" The CO steps out waving a hoof. "Ok, you win! Just don't hurt..."
*Bang!* The CO falls over dead. "Captain!" The mare cry's.
"Hell na nigga this bitch gone die like a hoe!" The mare whimpers in pain under the mans foot as he leans down and turns her over, pointing his weapon in her face. "You know what you gonna do? You gonna suck the barrel of this gun like a dick...and when it cums its gonna blow yo brains out!" The mare whimpers in fear, knowing now the power of one invader along wields at his whim.
"P-please, you win, I-I surrender!" The man puts more force in his leg, pushing on the mare's chest. Her armor making it feel like nothing but she was firmly held in place.
"Nigga fuck you we done, go fuckin walk someplace." The passenger realizes that there is no bargaining with his former employer, he looks down at the mare with a worried expression at the thought of what mite happen should he do nothing. The driver forcing the barrel of the gun into her mouth, sliding it back and forth at a sickening slow pace like a murderous pervert. She cry's more with her eyes closed shut, fearing not knowing when he mite pull the trigger, taking her life away in the blink of an eye. The passenger has enough of it. He unholsters his pistol.
On a roof in the distance, a figure leys close to the edge, wearing a black combat helmet with flipped up mounted quad goggles, with a ballistic mandible with a the lower half of skull painted. He wore a black combat shirt, Black armored gloves along with black battle pants, and black tech boots. A strange advanced armor covered over his entire body, it was a black metal material that covered a majority of his body. With blue coloring on the chest plating, parts of the shoulder armor, forearm bracers, front quadriceps plates and shin guards. A Tactical Tanto sword strapped on his back, three AR mag pouches lined across his chest at an angle attached to the sword's sheath strap.
A long barrel of a sniper barley protruding over the ledge, a man's ocean blue eye looks through his high magnification optic. Observing the situation from afar, he wasn't there for long, just as the shooting stopped. He sees the bodies of the local guard scattered about, he lines his sights up for a head shot with his finger on the trigger about to squeeze. Seeing the thug violating the injured with his assault rifle, only to stop when the other man makes an unexpected move.
"I said...let'er...go Jamal." The passenger demands, pistol pressed up against the now know Jamal's head.
"Let her go or y-your d-dead bro!" Eric cracks, revealing his break in confidence, giving Jamal doubt of his willingness to kill. Jamal slowly removes his AK's barrel from the mares mouth, allowing her to take a deep breath of relief, shaking violently from her adrenalin rush. He's not going down easy, or so he thinks. "N-now...drop yo..." Jamal turns around fast, nocking Eric's balance off and deflecting his pistol from his head. Jamal then pushes Eric down, pointing his AK ready to fire, a loud boom could pew heard in the distance. Hearing it over there own scuffle the freeze, before Jamal collapses with a thud, and Eric stares in horror having seen his head get taken clean off his shoulders. Eric panics, jumping up and dropping his weapon. Hands raised strait in the air as a sign of surrender. "Fuck don't shoot I'm sorry!" Eric shouts, but to no reply.
The sniper looks at Eric, taking in his features through his optic. An African American man with short black curly hair and a light stubble and brown eyes. The dark figure stands up and turns around, his sniper rifle disappearing into thin air and into his little pocket dimension leaving him bare handed. Should they meet face to face, he would not kill Eric unless attacked first. He approaches a ladder leading down to an alleyway, where his fully 100% armored and bullet proofed tired Karin Kuruma waited for him, with bitch black tinted windows and black matte paintjob.
"This is green team leader, come in black team." A voice says, he was about to respond when another voice answered first. "This is black team, go ahead." A moment of static then a response.
The man branded 'Demon', now stands idle by his car, debating his next coarse of action. Stepping into his armored Karin Kuruma he shuts the driver door. Looking over his modified interior, he fiddles with his GPS radar, capable of detecting criminal owned cars within a 2 mile radius. Pressing a button on the gadget, a *pinging* sound echoes through the car stereo system. As the gadget begins to detect vehicles, the engine comes to life and the car pulls out of the ally way, looking for more targets.
"Eric stands there for a long while, looking franticly around for the shooter, but no one came forth. No one attempted to shoot him down, as he stood there wide open in the middle of the street. Eric lowers his arms and does one last 360 scan of his surroundings. Looking deeply at the fallen guard ponies with dread, this isn't what he wanted when Jamal offered him some easy money, before the police chase and the blinding light. Looking down at Jamal's lifeless form he sighs.
"Never shoulda' rolled with you, crazy mafucker." Eric then looks at the wounded mare who's sobbing had die down a bit from earlier. Eric rushes over to lend a hand. "Hey, you alright girl?" She looks up at him and sniffs.
"You good ta move?" He asks.
Eric helps Crimson hobble toward the sugary construction of sweet looking proportions and knocks on the door. "Hey, ya'll good in there?" A stallion responds.
The other ponies stare in wonder and shock at the newcomer. This being the first time any of them have ever seen one of the invaders up close. Eric sets Crimson down on a open table and turns to face Quick Slash. "She need a doctor bro." Eric states.
Quick Slash eyes Eric critically before slowly nodding his head. "Alright, we need to move the civilians out of here and too the castle, but I don't want to risk them getting hurt. We need a way to move them safely or at least with reduced risk!" Eric surveys the room and estimates there to be twenty four ponies in all, eight of them children.
"Well..." Eric begins, making Quick Slash, Crimson and the room look to him. Eric notices how quite things have become, despite the sounds of gunfire and roaring engines in the background outside. "The car outside I came rollin' up here in can fit five human adults in it, could easily fit the same amount of you...folks in it. Minus one for me driving but..." Everypony was hanging on his every word for salvation.
A White unicorn places a hand on the stallion's shoulder. "Cpl. Slash" He looks her right in the eyes. "The foals are more important than us. Let them be the first to reach safety. We can go by foot if need be." Rarity smiles as Pinkie and Fluttershy join her side with forced sheepish smiles of their own, Fluttershy being the timid shy she's all ways been. Pinkie Pie trying to cope with a living nightmare she had foreseen in her dream.
More silence until Crimson speaks up, "Its up to the families to choose what they are willing to do in this time of crisis." The words hang in the air for what seemed like an eternity, until finally in the corner of the room, two parents look down at their slipping foals. Both held in one of their arms, they exchange looks of sorrow, before stepping forward. Everypony stares and parts like a multicolor sea as they slowly make their way to Eric and Quick Slash, they come to a complete halt once they are considered to be face to face. Mr. and Mrs. Cake look up at the man with plea.
"Please sir..." Mr. Cake begins. "Please take our foals to the loving protection of our fare princess Twilight Sparkle." Mrs. cake now speaks.
"Please, keep them safe." They extend the held foals with the arms that carried, loved and nurtured them must now let them go, to ensure their chance at survival. Soon other parents speak with their young, telling them they must go with the man and be strong and stay safe. Tears were shed as they bid farewell, knowing the possibility it may be their last hugs to give their children. More and more foals gather around Eric until all eight children crowd around him. Eric looks at the Cakes and he reaches out with both hands and grasps their extended arms, staring them in the eyes.
"As long my heart beats I'll protect them with my life, I swear to ya'll I give my life fo yo kids." Mrs. Cake, moved by his words closes her eyes and lurches forward, embracing Eric in a hug with more tears starting to form, only this time of happiness. The moment doesn't last, as rumbling could be heard approaching the area. Mrs. Cake lets go and Eric picks up his rifle and faces the door, listening carefully he hears whoever's driving pull up and stop fairly close to the building. Eric steps slowly to the door, pressing an ear up against it, the engine stops, vehicle doors open and close. People start talking, muffled unintelligible words are exchanged. Eric cracks open the door and pears through the slight opening, making the conversation more easily herd. Eric spots a big black armored truck with black tinted windows with a armored back transport area and two men in all black military looking gear checking bodies. They had black tactical boots, black utility pants, black combat gloves, black combat shirts, black utility vests, black balaclavas and black combat helmets with flipped up dual lends NVGs. They had an unnerving feeling about them that Eric felt. The big familiar letters spelling F.I.B didn't sit well with someone with his lifestyle.
"What the hell are these things Sev?" One man asked, putting two fingers too one dead Pegasus's neck checking for a pulse. The other was investigating the dead Jamal's corpse. It didn't take more than a glance to see that he was missing his head.
"Don't know Viking, looks like this guy met the boss though, was probably the perpetrator." There was something off about the scene, the man had no gun. As the man now known as Viking rolls a dead unicorn over and investigates her wounds.
"Looks like these were inflected by an AK-47. Sev walks over behind Viking, carbine rifle at the low ready. "Common rifle used by low level street thugs." Viking says, raising to full standing length continuing his analyses. "Definitely some thug's doing when it comes to these things, but that guy right there has no weapon, there may be another?" Sev pauses for a brief moment before shrugging.
"Guess we should move on, nothing to be done here." Viking nods, his advanced assault rifle popping into existence in his hands.
A frightened Eric stands in front of the bakery hands raised. His shaking form struggling to keep composed. "On the ground now!" Viking orders. Eric lowers to his knees, not being able to lay flat on the downward sloping stairs. The door behind him cracks a little and Quick Slash piers out with one eye. An action not unnoticed by the agents, the unnamed man points his carbine rifle at the door.
"Whoever's in the building, step out with your hands showing first slowly!" Sev orders. Quick Slash winces at his mistake, reluctantly he sticks his hands out and waves in surrender.
"Ok, just don't hurt the civilians!" The green fur covered hands causes Viking to lower his advanced rifle slightly. When the guard pony slowly and carefully steps out from the bakery, both agents completely lower their weapons. A brief moment of silence passes before Viking speaks up.
"Is that man with you?" He points at Eric.
"Do you know what happened and who that dead man is?" Eric nods and gives a brief explanation of who the man was and what had happened. Both agents exchange looks, Viking activates is his headset radio. "Black team lead this is Viking; come in over." A pause.
The man branded 'Demon' holds another man's head in his hands from behind. One hand griping his jaw and the other behind his head's center. Then with a strong twist he snaps the person's neck, their body falling limp. From behind a roadside dumpster, the 'Demon' peeks out from his hiding place. Seeing a group of six thugs pining down a checkpoint, the guard pony unicorns shielding their brothers and sisters to the best of their abilities.
"What the hell was that explosion!?"
A roar of cheers erupts from the guards as Demon runs to the other side of the street, half way across he drops a proximity mine and scales a building with parkour. A few moments later and a another group comes running around the street corner. Demon quickly counts eight guys before one of them trips the mine, killing three and leaving five men in shambles and staggering to their feet after falling from the blast. Seeing how close they were to each other Demon decides to go the CQB route. Leaping from the roof, Demon lands next to one man and combat rolls. Pulling out his heavy pistol with an orange tinted paintjob and combat knife, he slashes the man's neck and shoots down two others with head shots, leaving two men left. By the time they got a grip on the situation it was to late, Demon runs at them fast taking aim and shooting down one of the remaining two thugs. Before the last could raise his weapon, Demon spins and cuts him down with a swift slash to the neck.
The last two fall dead and Demon stands over them in triumph. He holsters his weapons and looks at the outpost to his right. The guards peer out from their cover in awe of the spectacle they had witnessed from the unknown combatant. Demon makes no gesture nor says a word, he simply turns and walks of in the opposite direction. In search of lesser warriors to bring down in the field of battle.
A team of olive drab uniformed and kitted men approach from a side road. Heads on a swivel searching for targets along the way to their objective. Engine noises no longer filled the air surrounding the town, they had been replaced with the sounds of battle cries, gunshots, and guard pony metal clashing with whatever weapons that thugs carried whom didn't have firearms. The group of 24 neared the crystal castle; Green team had one transport and one 50Cal. machine gun mounted Insurgent each; both colored tan. Slowly they came in site main entrance, the men in front see that the castle is currently under siege by a gang of lightly armed thugs. Knives, bats, golf clubs, broken bottles some even had machetes.
Green 2nd squad leader announces into his head set; "We have contact front, engaged with local law." The small convey halts awaiting orders, the Green team captain radios from the insurgent transport passenger seat. "Move to assist, we need to be on good terms with the locals. Target all armed gang affiliates as hostiles!" The convey increases pace and pours out from the side street, catching the ponies and human gangsters off guard. The agents take aim and open fire, killing the thugs and leaving the guards dumbfounded.
Green teams captain steps out from the insurgent's passenger seat, slowly approaching the guard ponies hands raised in a lax manner. "uh; hello there strange multicolored horses." The ponies exchange looks of confusion, one steps forward.
"I am the captain of this regiment, I don't know who or what you are, but you have my thanks for your help here." The guard captain extends a hoof and the green team captain takes it in his hand with a firm shake.
The agents move to their tasks and the two captains march up the steps and into the castle hall. Green teams captain was taken back by the design of this strange place, truly the work of a master architect he thought to himself. They move though the palace, they encounter patrols and sentries and each time the pony guard captain would half to ease the tensions. As they reached the crystal castle meeting room, more could be heard. Two sentries were standing guard; tensing up and take defensive stances at the sight green team captain.
"Peace boys, these ones are friends!" The two hesitate before relaxing.
The sentries nod before moving aside, opening the doors. The group steps though walking in on a discussion on how to deal with the invading threat. The conversation abruptly ends with the captain is seen. Leaving the room silent with looks of shock and wonder. Three ununiformed ponies sit at the end of the meeting table, one purple, one tan and one cyan. The rest lined the table sides in military class a uniforms, with sentries lining the walls.
"Your majesty, commanders, fear not! These ones are friends and have aided her majesty's guard in defending her castle, I can personally account on their actions." The silence continues for a few moments before being broken by the purple mare.
"Uh sugar cube; you know my special talent for detectin' lies and I'm not pickin' up on anything. As your friend I suggest you take the offer and we focus on those scoundrels harmin' our fare little town." Twilight nods.
"This is green lead, go ahead Viking."
The stallion nods and runs up to the insurgent's open passenger door and climbs up and in. The transport and 50.cal both speed off as the 50 lays down fire before disappearing from view. The remaining agents continue to trade fire with on coming thugs up the wide open road and building sides. The green team captain radio's again
"Viking you have two insurgents incoming; get those civilians ready to move!" "This is Viking, thanks for the assist!"
"Ok people get everything together; we have help on the way and we need to move asap!"
At the out skits of town at the rear of the attacking force. The man that rides a motorcycle dressed in black leather rides up next to an armored karuma that had a black and yellow emblem in the driver side door. The rider dismounts his bike and the car doors all open, four men step out. All wearing different animal masks. On the other side of the car a man with a bag overs his head pedals up on his bike. They all walk to the edge of the hill, standing in a horizontal line looking toward the town. The chaos of the gang wars burning it down before them. They all stand there, standing all heroic like when the leader finally spoke up. "Well boys, looks like we have a new city to defend and bring justice to!"

As gun fire continues to roar at the center of Ponyville; the insurgents rush to Sugarcube corner. The guard telling the agent driving how far to drive and where he should turn.
"Go left at this next road!" The guard parks.
The insurgents come to a complete stop outside of the giant pastry that was the bakery. Viking and Sev exit with their weapons at the high ready facing to their right, as Eric carry's Crimson out followed by Quick Slash waving ponies out the door as the ponies rush toward the armored trucks with haste. An agent open the rear door on green team's insurgent transport shouting at the ponies to get in. Half of the ponies rush to the safety of the insurgent, as Eric opens the black transport rear door and sets Crimson on the hard metal floor in between the rows of seats.
"Come on people we godda go!" Eric waves over the other half of the group.
Black team rolls forward knocking Jamal's car aside as they speed off.
"Hope you didn't mind that Eric!" Sev teases.
The small convoy makes a left at the nearest road in an attempt to find a road go back the way green team came. As they continue down the road, another green insurgent turns a corner ahead striate toward them, and it had a 50.Cal.
"Shit; we godda hostel insurgent ahead!" Sev shouts.
The green insurgent opens fire on black team's as they cross each other at opposite sides of the road. Green team's 50. returns fire as the hostel insurgent drives away at the rear, until it whips a shitty and gives chase that is. The convey takes another left turn toward the castle and soon after so does the hostel threat. The green and hostel 50.'s continue to trade fire nether making any critical his on ethers drivers' or passengers'
"Fucking hell; we can't let these assholes follow us back or our boy's and the civs are at risk!" One of the green team agents radio.
In the enemy insurgent, four mercenaries laugh and cheer. Adrenalin coursing through their veins as they shake each other by the shoulders and fist bump.
"Woooo run forest run!" The driver shouts.
The continue to chase the convoy, trading fire with the other 50.Cal at the rear of the pack. Not noticing the matte black armored Karuma approaching fast from their rear.
Demon speeds closer behind the insurgent as he withdraws his silenced AP pistol from the holster hanging on his passengers seat. Pointing out his front window he shoots the gunner in the back multiple times, causing him to fall into the rear of the insurgent. The one rear passenger visibly panics seeing his friend dead.
"Fuck; Tony got hit!" The rear passenger shouts.
Both men in the front seats look back and see their dead friend, the front passenger looks out the back window and see's nothing from the high elevation. The driver go's back to looking at the road and the front passenger looks at the right door's mirror, seeing the black car chasing close behind.
"Its that fucking car again!"
Demon Pulls up to the right side's rear when the insurgent's front passenger suddenly starts shooting the Karuma's armored windows and hood. Suddenly the drivers car door opens, a small rectangular object fly's out and sticks on the insurgent's right rear tire. Closing his door, Demon speeds ahead when the insurgent suddenly hits him with a pit boss maneuver. Causing Demon to spin out of control and crash into a building off to the left, hitting the detonator, the C4 blows up the insurgent's rear and sends it tumbling down the road.
Back with the convey the agent on the 50. watches in despair as the black team leader crashes as they continue to drive away, the agent jumps on the radio.
"Demon's been hit!" Hearing the news, the other two members of black team radio in.
At the castle entrance steps, the agents and guards take cover behind the boxes and sandbags trading fire with the advancing gangs. The guards fired with bows and crossbows and the few remaining agents effectively engaging with their own firearms. They were lucky enough to have lasted this long.
"Where the hell are the insurgents!?" One agent shouts over the gun fire.
After a few more moments the convoy roars out in front of the castle entrance defenses. The agents park at a 45 degree angle so that they had cover from gun fire, while the two 50.s lay down cover fire up front. Viking and Sev climb out thought the driver side door; running around to the back they open the armored transport area.
"Everyone out; get to the castle!"
The green team agents do the same and all the civilians poor out towards the entrance. The 50.Cal turns the tide and forces the gangs back down the road. The agents and guards cheer in joy as their friends help relive the weight of combat of their shoulders. The civilians rush though the castle doors with guard on either side waving them in. As the last of them enter, the doors shut and the first squad leader radios up to the green captain.
"Sir, this is first squad leader; the civilians have been secured!"
"Roger squad leader, keep up the fight; we're not out of this yet." The green captain turns to address the princess and her two friends.
The doors to the castle meeting room open and another three ponies enter with two guards as escort's.
"Twilight!" Rarity happily greets as she, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy approach and embrace their friends with squeals of joy.
"Um...right, thank you Pinkie." Rarity says. "Yes, those fine gentile colts safeguarded us from those ruffians causing all this chaos."
"How go's the battle captain?" Twilight asks.
*Boom!*
The captains radio comes to life with shouting voices. "They just took out one of our insurgents!" The captain runs to the balcony, looking over he sees a ball of fire as the armored truck flips over.
"Fuck!" The captain screams as he hammer fists the balcony railing. "You bastards killed more of my men!"
The girls shrink down with their ears folding to their heads at the captains rage, the news tragic news that he had his subordinates killed in the line off duty.
"We just lost our big guns!" Another agent radios. "We're out gunned; only a hand full of green team is left. we can't hold this position much longer!"
The green team captain grinds his teeth as a sniper appears in his hands. Looking through his optic he scans the battlefield that was the main road and streets of Ponyville. Spotting a man with an RPG on a roof top just off to the right of the main road, he shoots the man in the head.
"Got you cocksucker!" He growls. "RPG down squad leader; keep fighting we can do this!"
As the captain shoots down anyone in sight he reloads his weapon, as he was about to look into his optic once more he notices movement in the distance, behind enemy lines. He looks at the anomaly with his optic and sees a matte black armored Karuma. He finds this odd, considering Demon's car was said to be done in. As he looks closer however, he sees it black emblem with a sideways yellow oval on the hood. His eyes widen when he realizes the emblem was none other than the head of an owl. A man wearing Black leather with black shades could be seen riding a motorcycle on the car's left. Another man with a bag on his head riding a normal bike that was tied to the Karuma's spoiler by a rope. It was a daring stunt should he fall over at such a speed.
What caught the captain off guard was that the masks eyes and mouths moved as they laughed at their injured friend. After their fun the two men in the monkey and pig masks ran off to the right, running and gunning their way down a side road off the main road. The man in black leather drives forward down the main road toward the mass of the gangs force as does the Karuma. The man with the raccoon mask runs to his downed friend with the bag on his head, he picks him up and gives him a friendly shake. They both run to the opposite side of the main road and disappear down another side road.
"Demon where are you!" He franticly speaks into his radio.
Demon runs at a group of 5 thugs with his carbine rifle raised at the high ready, he swiftly kills them with head shots and a few combat rolls to dodge their returned fire. Running past the corpses, Demon makes a turn down a road on the right leading him into another large group of crooks.
The few 3 hostels ran in fear at witnessing their crew being slaughtered so easily by Demon. They run in the opposite direction and turn left down the road. Demon loses site and slowly advances down the right side street before crossing over to the left, pieing the corner the thugs had turned off of. He sees them being engaged by to masked vigilantes, One wearing a bag and the other wearing a raccoon. The man with a bag on his head held a metal bat and the coon barehanded, beating the thugs senseless.
The bag headed man hitting the gangsters hands with his bat disarming the and with a spin avoided a wide swing from a thugs left hook. His raccoon partner Grabs one thugs shoulder and delivers a strong blow to his jaw knocking him out, he continues his attack by giving the next crook a forward kick to the gut. Then a flurry of quick punches to the mans face and a final kick to the with a high roundhouse. The last man standing in a defensive pose, holds his fists up unmoving; not paying attention to the bag headed man swinging his bat low he gets hit in the back of the leg. The goon falls to one knee and the raccoon man kicks him upside the head, knocking the last man out. Both masked men cheer and fist bump.
"Yeah bitches!" The coon man hollers.
Demon observed their fighting skill from around the corner. He takes note that the coon man has a similar fighting style to a certain Owl man, and has a few questions for him. Also for some strange reason his masks mouth moved with his voice. He finally observes their clothing and gear, The bag headed man had a small smile, freckles and eyebrows drawn on it and wore a simple green polo shirt. He also had an adult diaper sticking out of his blue jeans with black tactical boots. Demon couldn't help but to think of him as some weird combat hobo because of them.
The raccoon masked man had an all black suit and black boots, all to similar to a certain owl man. His suit had a black metal armor plating. They covered his front and rear torso and shoulders, forearms that had the Batowl's angled triangle blades, shin guards. Damn near a complete copy of Batowl if it weren't for the white utility belt instead of yellow and raccoon emblem on his chest.
Demon pulls out a special device that looked like some sort of claw that fired from a special weapon, that was roughly the size of a pistol. Demon fires it at the bag headed man's leg, the device laches on like a shackle connected by a thick strong wire still connected to the gun, Demon fires the steel bolt that was the second part of the device at a building's roof rain cover. The line retracts and hangs the man by his leg.
"Delirious!" The man calls for his friend in surprise.
The man now known as Nogla struggles to get free, but to no avail. Giving up on getting free without help Nogla looks to his friend for assistance, He panics at the sight of a charging stranger.
"Delirious behind you!" Nogla warns.
Demon runs at the speed of a tri-athlete at delirious, whom responds by quickly reaching into his white utility belt and pulling out three shurikens(Ninja stars) and throwing them at Demon. Demon combat rolls under the incoming threats and as he stands up he jumps up in the air in an attempt to hit Delirious with a flying knee strike. Delirious side steeps the attack and tries to punch Demon upside the head, demon pivots around and deflects his fist. They both go back and forth punching, blocking and deflecting each others attacks while Nogla tries to escape his predicament, still with no luck. Delirious throws one last punch before demon gets the upper hand and grabs his wrist, with a twist Delirious's wrist is pointed upward and his hand is pushed inward as Demon locks his arm out and pulls him to the ground with him on top.
This move was a pain submission and a joint lock at the same time. With Delirious on his stomach, Demon could keep him compliant as he could push Delirious's hand further inward and cause extreme pain. Or he could hammer fist his elbow and snap his arm or use his body weight by dropping his knee on Delirious's elbow to get the same effect. Regardless he was submitted and could do nothing as he was at Demon's mercy.
"You held out longer than most." Demon compliments.
Demon rolls Delirious over onto his back and Punches him in the face, his raccoon mask felt odd, like it was somehow actually apart of him. The force was enough to rattle his brain in his skull and knock him out because of it.
"Your lucky I have soft spot for dumb animals." Demon says walking away again.
Nogla lays still as Demon walks away out of earshot, before commenting in a pained whisper.
"Ha...Gaaay!"
Main road during Demons confrontation with Delirious and Nogla
The Armored Karuma races behind the black leather wearing biker man, whom had taking the lead. Stopped just before diving into the large crowd of gang members. The man dismounts, getting some of the gang's attention. As the man pulls out his combat shotgun, they notice the matte black car driving straight at them. Knocking its way through bullet riddled gang cars and vans. They dismiss the man on the bike as one a gang member fleeing Batowl, they were sadly mistaken in more ways than one.
"Its the Owl!" One gang members shouts.
Those that had turned their attention to the rear away from the agents and guards protecting the castle, started to fire upon the Karuma. Their bullets doing nothing, a gang member runs out in front of them with an RPG, he fires it at the car at a distance of twenty feet away. A square metal plate lowers and slides back into the roof of the Karuma on the driver's side of the car. As the RPG makes contact with the front of the car. Batowl leaps out from the opening, a device opens on his back spreading his retractable cape out at both arm lengths as a ball of fire blazes behind him. He had an all black suit with armor in all the same places as Delirious's suit was made, again with the exceptions of his utility belt being yellow and having an owl head with a yellow background oval. Also he had a yellow chest rig with nothing on it for some reason. His destroyed Karuma turns mid air to its side and as it make contact with the ground, starts horizontally rolling at a group of thugs of to the right of the street. Killing them because of their fellow gang member's action.
Batowl sores through the air toward two thugs, he lands on top of the one on the left. Combat rolling while grabbing the man, he uses his momentum as he gets back onto his feet to throw the goon over his hip with incredible strength, sending him hurling toward two thugs using an overturned car as cover from bullets. This incapacitates them while the man that stood next to the first goon Batowl took down, tries to point his pistol at him. Batowl grabs the mans wrist and directs the weapon away from himself as the thug pulls the trigger, Batowl then elbows the thug in the throat and gives him a sideways hammer fist to the left of his jaw. Taking down a fourth man, two other thugs rush Batowl in opposite directions.
Batowl grabs one thugs arm and elbows him in the face, stunning the man while ducking a knife swipe from the thug behind him. Batowl then releases his hold on the thug and jumps up in the air, with a twirl Batowl kicks the man in the head knocking him out. The knife wielding goon returns with an attempted stab at Batowl's chest, Batowl steps out of the way of the knife and grabs the mans forearm and wrist. With a strong pull the goon falls over Batowl with his upper body weight shifting on him, Batowl hyperextends his arm and snaps elbow joint the other way. The goon howls in pain and drops the knife. One final thug tries to come at Batowl with another knife, Batowl simply grabs his wrist and turns his thrust momentum against him. Letting the attacker past him before pulling him in the opposite direction, the momentum flipping the man over, Batowl gives swift kick to the face.
"Whoa!" Rainbow Dash comments.
She had been brave enough to stand next to the sniping human captain and watch the battle transpire. Her other friends soon braved the site of the battle to the death between their guards and their allied agents against the criminals. With the exceptions of Fluttershy and Rarity having to shield their eyes from time to time. This new combatant left them in awe of his skill, Not having to kill a single criminal directly of his own actions. This gave the ponies hope for a less violent option in future endeavors.
"I can't believe my eyes ya'll."
"Oh my."
"Well, I guess its not as mean of a way of stopping this." Pinkie say's deflated.
The green team captain sighs. "No, as much as I wish we could leave him be to do his work; the law prohibits vigilantly justice. We have a kill/capture order out for him and his friends. And I don't believe we have the means to bring him in." He says looking at the Owl man though his sniper optic. "I'm sorry." He says finger on the trigger. A loud *BANG* could be heard from of to the upper side of the castle. The captain's sniper rifle is knocked out of his hands with a startled gasp. He looks toward the source of the sound and sees a man wearing a monkey mask and a red long sleeve shirt. That had a black metal chest plate that covered his entire front and back torso, and had black metal shoulder upper and lower shoulder guards that stopped just before his elbow. He wore black half finger gloves and had a black and red rectangular device on each forearm. Lastly he wore Black heist pants that were tucked into his black tactical boots. He had a black battle belt, that was lined from front to back with sets of two with 'Blackhawk double stack mag carrier' for his pistol mags. He also had a drop leg pistol hoister on his right leg and a drop leg rifle mag pouch containing two mags in each.
"Not so fast captain!" He shouts.
Lui Calibre climbs further up the castle with monkey like parkour.
"Who is that!" A startled Twilight asks.
Applejack stops her friend by grabbing her leg. "Rainbow dash he could kill you!"
"Darling stay hear!" Rarity interjects.
Rainbow dash lands arms crossed. "Fine, but I don't like it!"
While the events at the castle balcony transpire, Batowl looks stoically at the large army group of thugs, unflinching even with all their weapons pointing at him. The man in black leather fires from the hip at thugs with his combat shotgun riddling them all with shells, the power of the shells was enough to blow off some of their limbs as the fall dead. The man stops shooting when the all start run and disperse, resting the weapon against his right shoulder with a blank expressionless face. Speaking with an impersonating Arnold Schwarzenegger sounding voice he says.
"You are terminated!" He says.
The man now known as Terrorizer, nods and runs to the agents and guards behind their barricades. Gaurds lower their weapons, mutually agreeing amongst them selves it would be best to not initiate on Terrorizer. When Terrorizer arrives, he communicates rather comically, staring with Arnold arg's.
"Arg arg what's going on here, come on, come on tell me!"
Ponies share looks amongst themselves, until one speaks up.
"Uh..w-we allied with the guys in green to push back the criminals assault, but...there all dead."
Some of the guard's friends snicker amongst themselves. While the guard himself looks down in self-pity.
"Batowl!" Terrorizer shouts back 60 feet down the road at his friend.
Terrorizer looks back at the ponies expectantly. They all exchange another look and shrug.
"Well we don't have a problem with you, talk to our bosses."
One lone guard pony walks up to the doors and opens one, waving Terrorizer to come in. Which he does, arging all the way up the stairs and through the door until the guard shut it. While that all takes place Batowl puts two fingers too his right owl mask ear, that had a secret earpiece radio built inside it.
"Wildcat, you done on your end of the fight yet; where are you?"
As Batowl said that he heard an explosion go of behind him. He turns toward the source of the sound and sees four thugs running out from a side street off the main road. Batowl being to far away for close quarters combat, draws his sidearm which was a nerf gun for some reason. As Batowl was about to fire his one dart, a series a quick loud *bangs* could be heard and the thugs all fell dead. Running out next was a man wearing a pig mask with a white biker helmet on. A white t-shirt that had the word Wildcat und a purple cat that had a top hat. A zebra pattern pair of pants and white shoes.
"Woo Yeeeah, I'm right here bitches!" The pigman know as Wildcat shouts wielding a golden Thompson submachine gun.
Wildcat gives Batowl a look of questioning.
"Really dude, people horses?"
A metal claw laches onto Wildcat's leg and drags him across the ground, Batowl watches temporarily stunned before snapping back into reality. Wildcat screams in despair as the claw hoists him up and the cable attached retracts, hanging him from a building's rafter.
"Fucking bullshit!" He shouts.
Batowl follows the cable with his eyes from Wildcat's hanging form to it continuing past beyond eye view into the roof. His eyes widen slightly at the sight of the new figure that walks into view.
"You..." Batowl says.
Batowl stares back up at Demon with resolve.
"Just you and me, COME ON!" Demon shouts as he runs off toward the castle by roof top.
Batowl quickly reaches down to his utility belt and pulls out an owlrang, throwing it at the cable hanging Wildcat and cutting it.
"Biiiiitch!" Wildcat screams as he falls to the ground, hitting hard.
Batowl chases Demon on the street as he continues to run and jump across the rooftops. Batowl grabs his grapple gun and shoots it at a taller building ahead of him. Batowl zooms upward at demon. He was about to make another roof jump. Severing the line, Batowl holsters his grapple gun and extends both arms for an air tackle. Demon jumps with a horizontal spin, Batowl was about to tackle Demon out of the air.
When suddenly as his back faces Batowl during his spin jump, Demon pulls out a foot long metal baton looking object from his drop leg pistol holster. With a flick of his wrist two metal poles extent out from ether side of the object, revealing it to be a 'collapsible bo staff'. When Demon faces towards Batowl at the end of his spin he smacks Batowl across the face with it, sending Batowl back down to earth while Demon lands feet planted on the next roof.
Batowl slides down a cloth dining area cover jutting out from the building, before flipping off and hitting the ground with his back. Batowl groans in pain from the impact, hearing Demon shout Batowl looks up and sees Demon jump off the roof, bo staff in hand and about to jab it into his gut. Batowl rolls over just before Demon slams sown with his bo staff, getting back onto his feet Batowl takes a fighting stance. Demon twirls his staff before trying to hit Batowl once with both sides of it, Batowl deflects both attacks and pushes his staff away. Demon then gives Batowl a spinning kick to the chest, knocking him back.
Batowl and Batcoon stand together side by side, bro fisting without looking at each other and starring at Demon. When two more friends come walking up to them on both sides. Nogla on the right next to Batowl with his baseball bat and Wildcat on the left next to Batcoon with golden brass knuckles.
"Don't forget about us bitch!" Wildcat says.
"I'm not here to debate with you Batowl; so I'll make you a deal. I know killing is a last resort for you, you don't do it unless you have no other options. If you can beat me to the point that I can't physically fight you anymore, I'll act like I never saw you, or your friends and we'll go our separate ways. But if I beat you, I'll give you a warriors death. Deal?" Batowl stays silent, narrowing his eyes at Demon.
"Dude...this guy's head is fucked." Wildcat says out loud.
"In the next chapter!" The author adds, with none of the characters in the story hearing him. Well except for Pinkie Pie...probably.

"This is insane, after witnessing that owl thing's performance in dealing with these criminals, I can only how imagine this 'Demon' thing can rival it?" Twilight remarks. The 'former' green teem captain sighs.
The guards in the room with the elements and captain, rush to block the door with shields and swords ready. The elements crowd the balcony with Twilight and the captain. The gunfire and screaming suddenly stops, everyone on edge, the guards holding fast. Waiting for whatever it is to come through the door. A small thud cold be heard as the door raddles a small bit. The guards flinch slightly as they continue to stare down the door, ready to defend the elements and their princess.
"Oh no, I hope spike and starlight are safe on their trip to the crystal empire!" Twilight whispers faintly, unsure of the state of the other provinces. Then one of the guards near the door speaks up.
"Beeping, why would they be hearing...Get away from door now!" The captain shouts, but it was already to late. The door explodes and kills the guards closest, sending others flying into the walls and a few staggering back but still standing. The captain fires a few shot at the door trying to hit the intruder, only to have his pistol shot from hands. The elements ducking to the floor.
Lui quickly notices an opening on both sides of the shield wall, his rifle disappears as he raises his arms outward in a v form and fires his arm mounted guns. The two bullets bounce off each wall and go through each of the six crouching and standing guard's heads, destroying the wall formation as each guard falls dead. Leaving only the elements and captain left in the room with masked killer. The elements watch in horror as Lui lowers his arms and his advanced rifle reappears in his hands, lowered and relaxed. "Ola amigo." Lui says with an indifferent tone of voice.
"Calibre!" The captain says with venom. He walks in front of the girls as they stay down. "You bastard, you just murder them all, why damn it why!?" Lui raises his rifle.
"Lets keep this professional, there's a price on your head and I'm here to collect. Any final words to get of your chest before I put one in it?" Lui questions. The captain grunts angrily before giving up and sighing, he reaches into his back pocket and Lui tenses up for a moment ready to pull the trigger, relaxing when he see's it only a wallet.
"Trying to buy me off captain?" Lui taunts. "It won't save you."
The captain says nothing, opening the wallet and pulling out a picture. In it a man, a women and two children. "Sandra my love...John my boy...Lindsey my girl..." The elements look up at him, as his thumb lovingly and slowly sweeps across the photo as he names his family. "Daddy's coming to see you again." He says as his arm lowers with the photo in hand, then drops it at his side. The elements look at it then back up to the captain, tears starting to form in their eyes. The captain reaches for his belt, drawing his combat knife. Lui cocks an eyebrow as the captain raises it, pointing the edge of the blade at him.
"May my words be true to myself, now that my time come, may I have dragged as many of you devils down to hell with me as possible!" Lui huffs, then without warning, the captain charges Lui knife in hand. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Lui fires two shots into his chest and one in his head, ending the captain's life. The elements scream and cry as he falls dead his hand releasing the blade.
"Even in the face of death, died fighting, I respect that captain." Lui complements the fallen agent. "You heartless beast!" Rarity shouts, mascara running down her face. "Sorry you had see that ladies, its just business." Lui remarks indifferently.
"There he is!" Lui looks over his shoulder and sees two men dressed in black gear. "Light'em up!" Viking shouts as Sev comes into the room rifle at the high ready. Lui rushes forward at the elements shooting Viking's head, the bullet being stopped by the combat helmet. Before Lui could reach the elements, Twilight uses her magic and puts up a pink shield dome around them and herself. Lui runs up and over it then jumps off the balcony, Sev tries to shoot Lui before he falls, but Lui spins around and shoots Sev between the eyes. Lui then pulls a cord on his reusable parachute falling safely to earth.
"Shit SEV!" Viking calls to his fallen squad mate, crawling over to him still dazed from the impact to his head. Viking quickly see's the gunshot wound in Sev's head, he solemnly lowers his head, resting it on the floor. He puts two fingers to his radio headset. "Demon...come in, Demon..."
"Ha!" Wildcat tries to punch Demon with his brass knuckles. Demon steps into his attack, blocking it with his left forearm he delivers a revers right elbow strike to his jaw, then puts Wildcat into a cradle lock. Demon stacks wildcat into Batcoon and pushes him off himself.
Batowl comes in for a left hook punch to the unarmored ribs, Demon steps back and deflects his fist with the short of the staff, Demon follows up with a quick two smacks to Batowl's head with the long and short ends of his staff. Following the second hit with the short end of the staff Demon spins and tries to hit Batowl hard on the head with a vertical strike with the long of his staff, but Batowl sidesteps the attack and knee's Demon Hard in the face. This makes Demon stagger back, as he does Batowl goes in for anther punch, this time to the jaw. Demon slides his hand outward towards the ends of his staff and blocks with the middle part, then deflects Batowl's fist to the side with a spin and smacks his head again with the top end of the staff. Going with the spin Demon tries to jab him with the bottom end, Batowl catches Demon's staff and elbows him hard in the lower part of his back, it knocks Demon away from himself and Demon turns back to face him.
"Fuck dude this bullshit!" Wildcat complains.
They both take a fighting stance, when Demon gets a call on his radio.
"Demon...come in...Demon." Demon answers. Go ahead Viking."
Demon goes stiff, his eyes widen, disbelief plaguing and clouding his mind. Batowl takes notice of this change in attitude, lowering his arms to his sides, staring Demon down from the middle of the street. Then the sound of shuffling armor could be heard approaching, Batowl looks to see many guards in golden armor coming from the castle, a crowd forms about twenty feet away.
"What's happening here?" A guard with a look of seniority asks.
The guards part at the center and a group of mares came forward along with Viking. He was about to come to Demon's aid. When Demon held his hand up to stop him, Viking hesitates before stepping back to the elements side. A few moments pass, Batowl and Demon staring each other down, unmoving and silent.
"Please!" Twilight calls out to them "We don't know why you fight each other, but we beg you to stop, there has been enough bloodshed!"
Demon and Batowl continue to stare for another few long moments, until with a flick of his wrist, Demon retracts his metal bo staff into the length of a baton and holsters it. The elements take a collective sigh of relief, believing the situation to be resolved.
"How did die Viking, how did Sev he go out?" Demon calls to his squad mate. Looking to him in the sea gold.
Demon looks to Batowl, eyes narrowed in anger.
"We both know whom he associates with!" Demon shouts back.
With one hand Demon thrusts his sword going in for a stab, which Batowl deflects to his side with his left gauntlet. Now with both hands gripping the hilt, Demon begins his clockwork assault, forcing Batowl to retreat. Slashing from two then ten o'clock, then one o'clock to eleven. Batowl continues to deflect with his gauntlets, when Demon jumps and does a left spin trying to go for a hard twelve o'clock.
The crowd audibly voices their astonishment, seeing the display of combat, death one wrong move from happening.
Batowl spins right and tries to elbow Demon in the face, Demon blocks with his right arm and steps back. Demon uses the broken sword like a long dagger, slashing at nine o'clock and quickly changing hands from right to left, going for a reverse gripped stab to the neck.
Some of the guards give audible "OH's!" unable to contain their excitement at the display of combat skills from both combatants. While some of the elements clasp their hands to their mouths emotionally, preparing to witness death by the sword. With the exception of Rainbow Dash and Applejack, being more tomboyish and emotionally stable, they only bite their lower lips while they look onward. Then Rainbow Dash's wings flare open, Applejack eyes her with confusion.
"What?" Rainbow asks. "I'm a black belt in karate, this stuff excites me!"
Batowl puts his left leg on the wall and pushes off doing a backflip. Landing behind Demon with his grasp still firm on his wrist, Batowl takes his other hand and grabs Demon's right bicep and uses his arm like a lever. Throwing him over his hip and back into the middle of the street. Demon roles with the momentum and recovers to his feet, sliding a few more feet back while crouching. Standing up, Demon switch's the broken sword from his right hand to his left, starting to walk forward to resume the fight.
"Ha ha, as much fun as it is to watch you two go at it, I'm afraid I'm going to have to...cut this short!" Lui remarks in a snarky tone.
With everyone distracted, Batowl maneuvers around Demon, now standing in front of the crowd. Batowl draws his grapple gun and shoots Demons armor chest plate, retracting the wire Demon is caught off guard and pulled toward Batowl. He clotheslines Demon with his right arm, making him backflip and land face down in the dirt. With the grapple line disconnected, Batowl holsters his grapple gun as Demon quickly pushes himself up into a crouching position, reaching to grab his heavy pistol from his holster. Batowl see's this and quickly closes the distance, side stepping Demon when he draws and fires at him. Batowl delivers a spinning left kick to Demon's hand, making him drop the gun, Batowl the continues with the spin and attempts to kick Demon in the head with his right leg. Demon stands up catching his leg and Hammer fisting down on Batowl's unarmored upper lliotibial tract.
Lui still stands on the roof, opposite end of the street. Looking though his sniper's optic, waiting to get a clear shot as Batowl and Demon continue to fight in hand to hand combat, blocking and trading punches and kicks.
"Come on Demon." Lui says. "I had this bullet made just for you."
Lui turns to see Viking coming at him with a battle axe. Viking cleaves down at twelve o'clock for Lui's head, he turns around and blocks the attack with his sniper facing sideways, both hands on it trying to push Viking's axe away. Lui tries to kick Viking back but Viking stops Lui short, Kicking Lui's leg back down before he could lift it any higher.
"That's not very nice." Viking mutters to himself, shaking his head to clear away the dizziness.
Lui drops the pellet and smoke bursts from it, consuming Lui in its shroud. Viking runs forward and swings his axe through the smoke, hitting nothing. "Awe, it was just getting to the good part!" He remarks, bitter he hadn't been able to finish him right then and there. Slumping forwards at the lost opportunity.
"Oh!" Bouncing back from his temporary melancholy. Leaning forward and squinting, he put a hand to his brow and said. "I spy with my little eye, a friend in need of help!"
Suddenly Batowl pulls out a nerf gun and points it at Demon, to which he laughs.
"Ha ha, a nerf gun, and what are you going to do with it, shoot me dead?"
"Damn it... sleep..." Demon falls over.
Viking runs through the smoke only to find that Batowl had disappeared as well. "Awe come on, can't I have at least a little fun without being interrupted?" He shouts, looking at Demon who was now limp on the ground. "Demon; Demon you good man?" Viking asks as he roles Demon over onto his back. Checking Demon's neck for his pulse, not at all surprised he found it beating normally. He noticed the small rise and fall of his chest, indicating he was still breathing.
"A nerf gun that shoots sleeping gas?" Viking says to himself "Well, I'll give the guy points for creativity, that must be embarrassing for. Or at least it will be, when you wake up."
The crowd closes in on the two of them, the elements stepping forward.
"Is..is your friend ok?" Twilight asks concerned. To which Viking replies.
Viking turns halfway around and cocks an eyebrow under his mask.
"Yea, something you else needed?"
Viking ponders the offer for a moment, after a few moments he accepts. "Alright, whatever." He said shrugging his shoulders, causing his friend to shift slightly. "At least it beats foraging for wood for a campfire tonight.
Twilight nods and waves him to come, then turns to address the guard with the look of seniority. "Captain Stalwart Shield, It pains me to ask this of you and your guards but..." Twilight looks around at the many dead bodies littering the street. Captain Stalwart Shield nods understanding. "Yes your majesty."
The guards part to allow the elements and the last remaining agents to pass.
"Alright ladies and gentlecolts, while the battle is over we still have one last job to do..." Captain Stalwart Shield begins to order the guard. The elements stumbling through the street trying to avoid stepping on the dead bodies, averting their eyes trying their best to keep looking strait with grim expressions.
Stepping on a thugs corpse, Viking commented. "Well, looks like to coroner's office is going to be busy today."
The elements glance back at him uneasily, unsure as to how he could be so nonchalant in the face of such carnage. The continue through the sea of death until the reach the castle stairs. Two sentries stand at the door, opening it for the elements and closing it behind them as the enter.
"Swanky place you have here." Viking says looking around at the lavishly decorated entrance hall.
The elements exchange another questioning glance.
"Right...this way please!" Twilight beacons. Leading everyone down a hallway and up a curving staircase. "Just right here." Twilight opens the door. "Please you first!" She bows slightly.
At the back was a king size bed, plenty of room to move around. Two separate bathrooms, A flat screen TV and a computer. Dressers, plug in fans and mini-fridge. It had all the luxuries of a house hold, minus a kitchen.
"I hope its alright?" Twilight inquires.
Rainbow Dash could not help but to silently mouth "What the fuck?" She and Applejack then with all their might, hosted him over their shoulders and help lay him down on the bed. "Who the fuck does that?" Applejack Whispers to no one in particular. "Oh my heavens girls, please with the language...but fuck me if I do say that is not how a friend should treat another friend."
Fluttershy *epps* hiding behind her own hair. The rest of the girls hissing inward through their teeth, not speaking any further about what had just occurred. They each exit the room one by one, leaving Demon to sleep in what is now probably a coma.
"Um..." Twilight starts. "Lets go back to the thrown room and we can discus a few things."
The group goes back the way they came, until they comeback upon the six thrones. Each element taking their respective place on them.
"Now lets get started, I am princess Twilight Sparkle. These are my friends Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Together we are the elements of harmony, we have been Equestria's defenders sense we first became friends!"
The elements bow their heads solemnly, silently paying their respects.
"I guess this means I hope you can forgive me for my unorthodox behavior easier, as the stress of losing comrades in the heat of battle does weird things to me." Viking nods his head. Each element voices their acceptance of his actions.
"But of course sir." Twilights said. "We hope your mental wellbeing will keep heathy, we have had our own share of battles, all be them far less...bloody."
Viking paused, with a surprised and dare they say fearful expression. Before eventually adding in a nervous tone, "Lets just say that there are many reasons that the criminals of our world fear the dark, and that Demon is the cause of most of those fears." Before he added with a dark smirk, "Just be glad he's on your side."
The elements feel a shiver run up their spines. Grim curiosity plaguing their minds, wondering what actions one must commit to be branded a 'Demon'.
Viking sits in a comfy chair with a cold apple cider in one hand and a cupcake in the other, mask raised up like a winter hat, ready to be pulled down in a hurry should anyone walk in on him or his still sleeping friend. Viking was tad bit distraught when he discovered the pony equivalent of alcohol was basically soda, but they did have killer sweets and other edibles fit for human consumption. He had been watching the news on TV for awhile now, seeing how Ponyville had been cooping with their arrival. A mare stood where the battle had climaxed and ended, holding a microphone and reporting the news station's findings.
"Its been two day's sense the mysterious alien life forms came and brought destruction to our town."
A knock sounds at the door and Viking puts his drink down and pulls down his mask. "Enter!" He shouts.
"Um hi, we have lunch for you and we were just wondering if its ok to come in?"
Fluttershy nods, walking to the side of the bed and taking a seat at Demon's side. Pinkie Pie strikes up small talk with Viking about the news and other recent events. Fluttershy survey's Demon from the bottom up, his black boots made of material that looked high-end by itself, black pants with built in kneepad inserts, black combat shirt and black armored gloves. All covered by a black with a blueish tint slim and curvy looking armor that covered his legs, torso, shoulders and forearms.
She reaches out slowly and timid, lightly running her fingers along the metallic and plastic feeling tubes. She gently pulls on them and to her surprise both moved down slightly, she stops slightly panicked. Quickly looking at Viking and Pinkie Pie still chatting away, she looks back to Demon and slowly continues to pull the horns down. Until they stop when they cover his visor. Fluttershy couldn't fathom what they could possibly be used on his eyes for, she moves the horns back into their original upward state. Leaning in closer with a hand on his chest plate for balance, she see's Demon's head snap toward her. "Ah!" She yelp's jumping back.
Viking and Pinkie Pie take notice as Demon shoots up into a siting position, his head darting back and forth quickly taking in his surroundings as he jumps out of bed, drawing his combat knife from his drop leg holster.
"Hey sleeping nightmare, your finally awake!" Viking raises his drink.
Demon see's his friend sitting next to the Pink mare whom was hiding behind her chair, peering over the back rest eyes wide. Then looks at Fluttershy whom was on her butt from being startled.
"And these two are?" Demon inquires.
Demon sighs and sheaths the blade back in his drop leg holster, walking up to Fluttershy whom was hiding behind her hair.
"Sorry about that." Demon reaches down offering a hand, the timid Pegasus shying away for a moment. Before reaching out herself and taking his hand. Being hoisted up with his firm grip, she stays hidden behind her hair before saying, "Thank you." Demon nods looking at Viking. Viking nods back before saying.
"Hey ladies, you wanna go and round up your friends while I brief my friend about our situation?"
"So, what I'd miss?" Demon questions.
After Viking gets done briefing Demon another knock sounds at the door, "Enter!" Viking calls. In comes the before mentioned six elements of harmony, and a couple newcomers.
"Hello sir, its great you're finally awake! We feared you'd never wake!" Twilight greets.
The elements part ways and the two step forward.
"H-hey I'm spike, nice to me you!"
A few moments of silence pass.
"A service will be later today but please, let's not be bogged down by morning for them just yet. We would be pleased to escort you anywhere you would like to see of our humble town as we become acquainted."
They all part to allow Demon to pass, he walks out into the hall seeing guards lining the halls and a few maids cleaning in various places.
"Might wanna let them guide you out this bitch, cuz I've been here two days and still can't remember where the fuck I am!" Viking calls from the room.
Demon sighs while thinking "Well, it couldn't hurt to have the highest regarded hero's and their princess as...contacts."
"I suppose the hunt can wait." His stomach grumbles audibly. "Right, haven't eaten in a couple days."
Demon turns around, walking back into the room and taking a seat at the edge of the bed.
"So, what is it your all curious about?"
Rainbow, Pinkie and Spike hold back their laughter with snickers, Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy and Starlight blush sheepishly. Before Twilight realizes something and lights up with glee.
"Oh, what do they do? I've never seen or had the chance to experience alien technology!" Twilight says with excitement.
The elements were a bit worried, when Demon threatened Viking unsure about his shaking. But seeing him snicker and trying to hold in laugher gave them relief.
"I'm back, shook's it looks like I'm missn' out!"
The elements, Spike and Starlight nod and step out. Shutting the door behind them Viking removes his mask, Demon also unclicks the plastic clip keeping the helmet strips tight to his chin, then finally removes his mask.
"Well, he does seem well mannered enough." Rarity starts.
The door handle twists and the two men step out with their helmets and masks underneath on.
"The pie was excellent, thank you."
Twilight takes the lead, Demon and Viking right behind her while the elements, Spike and Starlight huddle around them to them. Asking more questions trying to figure the two men out.
"So, the girls said you two were bounty hunters?" Starlight starts.
The group had just stopped as the front door was in arms reach. Unease and shifting glances of worry as all remain still. Until Viking snickers.
"Your such a dick!" He chuckles.
They all take a silent collective sigh of relief.
"Oh my, well you certainly had us going there. Come, right this way!" Twilight opens the castle doors and steps out onto the steps.
Everyone descends down the stairs and into the gravel road. Pedestrians going about their daily lives smile and wave at the elements and their princes. Taking second sideways glances at the two men in black, some slowing their pace for a moment before quickly walking away.
"Sorry about the prying eyes, Viking only went about his business during the night, and you haven't been seen sense your battle with the owl man."
They all fallow Applejack through the town's streets, seeing humans and ponies alike beginning to cohabitate and socialize with each other.
"Guess this is our future." Demon says.
The group reaches the outskirts of town and follows a dirt road through the woods, until finally coming upon a farm house with a large apple orchard.
"Here we are sugar cubes!"
The group moves down the isles until Viking takes the lead, turning down one of the paths. Everyone follows him until finally they reach their destination.
"Home sweat home." Viking says with his hands on his hips.
A wide metallic ramp slides out from the back of the Long and wide matte black trailer, touching the ground at a forty-five degree angle. Demon and Viking both walk up the ramp, standing on either side, Demon flips up cover puts a four digit code onto a keypad. They both grasp the handles on the back trailer door.
"As the princess and elements of harmony, we trust you to honor our request when we ask that you keep this a secret."
They all nod their heads up and down with excited expressions, then Demon and Viking lift the door. Reviling the contents of the trailer's first section. A personal mobile garage section, colored in mostly black and tints grey with lining.
"Ooooh such big, much black!" Pinkie comments with a strange sparkle in her eyes.
The group had restricted maneuvering space because vehicle being parked inside. Making their way to the next door on the other side of the section. The black door slides open, revealing a fully stocked armory. Rifles, shotguns, sub machine guns and pistols lay in racks lining the walls, next to them are full shelves of ammunition of all types for each and every weapon. There were also an assortment of knives lining the counters. Each side at the center had special holders for each persons most prized weapons, both sides lay empty.
Demon Stands on the left side with his back to Viking, each conquering up their respective weapons. Demon removes the magazine and ejects a single round in his carbine rifle's chamber, with a couple of quick and smooth motions showing his proficiency and experience with his weapon. Then undoes his leather mag and sword holster from his chest, letting it fall before quickly grabbing it by the connected sword sheath. Staring at the blade's entrance, not filled by his broken swords hilt, Demon remembers that it was broken by is rival in battle. Grunting frustrated Demon sets the holster down with a little force from his frustration.
"Gonna need a replacement." Demon says racking his heavy sniper.
As Demon was doing this, Viking placed is Special carbine in his personal weapons rack, as well as his battle axe and assault shotgun. Both men keeping their sidearms, moving into the next room. The girls and spike look over the arsenal in astonishment as each of them pass through the room. In the third and last section, Demon and Viking take a seat in two comfy chairs on the left side in the middle of the living quarters, separated by a small triangle table without a peak. One chair lay opposite of them with a small table to accompany it as well, a compact flat touch screen computer with an input box colored black and orange with text saying Input username and password.
Rainbow Dash couldn't help but to whistle before commenting "Wow; you guys know how to travel in style!"
Twilight sighs pinching her nose between her fingers.
"We already agreed we would keep your secrets, why are you being so cryptic?"
The room goes deafly silent. The human like ponies shuttering at the thought, ears folding to their heads.
"But, you and the others saved our town, hasn't the threat been eliminated?" Rarity questions.
The girls and spike nod in agreement. Demon and Viking only laugh muffled by unmoving masks.
"You flatter us with your words." Demon laughs. "Now onto current affairs, when is the service for our fallen?"
Twilight sighs in defeat, slumping back in the couch.
A few hours pass, the M.O.C computer displayed the time as 6:30 P.M, one hour and thirty minutes until the burial ceremony.
A special section dedicated to the fallen members of green team and Sev.
Demon and Viking stand over the grave specially marked for Sev,"Protector of our fair Princess Twilight Sparkle and the Elements of Harmony." Underneath the sentence was Sev's name.
"I told them his name so you could find it easier." Viking says to Demon, Who looks back at him. "Incase you felt like visiting him."
They both return their gaze to Sev's tombstone, Demon sighs.
"We'll get even Caliber." He says in a low growl.
A few moments of silence pass, then are abruptly cut short by some high pitched squeakers.
"Rarity Rarity!"
Looking over his shoulder, he see's three young girl ponies that looked around the same age as spike in their teens, one had coyote brown fur with a purple main and tail, she was wearing a charcoal jacket with a teal under shirt and olive drab cargo pants with tennis shoes. Another one had a tan fur coat with a red main and tail, She wore lime green t-shirt with jean shorts with brown cowgirl boots. The last one had a white coat with a two tone mane, a majority of pink with light purple wide lines. She wore a white dress the went down to just above her knees, showing just a little if her brown shorts with sandals.
"Hey squirt!"
The coyote brown girl steps forward with wonder in her eyes. Demon looks down at the young filly, whom is a little nervous.
"Yes?"
A few moments pass in silence before Demon lightly chuckle and gives Scootaloo three slow claps.
"You're are exactly right, I am just a man in a suit of armor, unlike most of my enemy's you saw through my getup and rationalized me."
Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Applebloom giggle, emboldened by the knowledge of the truth.
"But don't be fooled, just because you have seen past my intimidating exterior, does not mean I am not dangerous."
The three fillies shrink back slightly when Demon says this, and he chuckles lightly again.
"But you need not fear me, you are three sweet little girls. I'm sure and our paths are not likely to intertwine negatively."
The fillies take a collective sigh of relief.
"Girls; Twilight!" A new voice calls out to them.
The mares and spike looks towards the source of the voice, to find a group of new ponies, three alicorn mares of varying size. The smallest one whom was pink looked to be 5,9 with a baby filly, next to her was a white coated unicorn male. A platoon of gold armored guards armed with swords and spears surrounded them.
"Cadence!" Twilight calls back.
The alicorn now know as Cadence breaks forward from the formation, Twilight meets her halfway and embrace's her. Cadence wore a dark pinkish red strapless dress with gold lining and accents. With dark pinkish red low heel pumps. she looked to be 5,8.
"Its been awhile; how are you?"
She like the dark blue alicorn had a unnatural flowing mane with pink, light green and light blue coloring. She wore a regal white dress with gold accents and gold colored suns on the sleeves. Along with a gold sun belt and golden crown, she looked to be 6,4.
"It is very good to see you all again, we have seen and heard the news and have come to greave with Ponyville's good ponies. To honor of our brave knights and to give thanks to our 'mysterious' allies."
Princess Celestia looks at Demon and Viking, whom had been listing over their shoulders, not bothering to turn and great the newcomers themselves.
"Can they not hear or understand us?"
The Princesses and prince approach the two men, whom now both turn halfway around to face them. Their silent starring making them feel uneasy. A few moments pass before Viking speaks.
"Well say something damnit, jezz those little girls there are braver than you!"
The group is taken back by his sudden out burst, Demon makes the 'ok' sign with his hand.
"Nailed it, our first impression's are *kiss sound* superb."
The three fillies, spike and some of the girls laugh at their childish antics, the princesses recover as Twilight sheepishly laughs.
"They have...a unique pair of personalities."
The dark blue alicorn princess steps forward not having spoken yet. Both Demon and Viking turn all the way around and face the princess. She stands two feet away, scanning the two men up and down, she herself was 6,1. As compared to Demon's 6,5 and Viking's 6,4.
"So, you are my said to be vengeful spirit; horned one? It is not often I must look up to address another."
Luna raises an eyebrow, clearly skeptical at his response.
"Surly, thou jests?"
Luna stares into Demon's visor, his expression unknown to her behind it's concealing nature.
"Be that as it may, I trust from thou actions thus far thou will not be of harm to our little ponies?"
Demon gives no verbal or physical response, Luna turns and walks back to her sister's side smirking.
"He is a more bold than most dear sister, i like it!" She whispers.
"Not just us." Viking gestors to the graves.
Demon and Viking look at each other for a moment, before looking back at her.
"As a matter of fact there is." Demon starts, Celestia's ear's perking up. "We were employed to assist the fallen Agents in defeating an organized crime ring, before being blinded by a bright light's flash and ending up here. As you can see they are no longer with us und their handlers have no idea what happened to them or us. They were going to pay us for our service's but they are no longer in a position to compensate us."
Princess Celestia turns and walks away, leaving the two men curious. As she does, Princess Cadence and Prince Shining approach.
"Greetings....oh..." Cadence starts before shuddering.
Shining Armor and Cadence look at one another briefly before they both sigh.
"We hope you both can find light in your dark state of minds. Thank you again for defending our land; warriors." Cadence finishes.
She and her husband turning back to their friends.
Demon looks down at his watch, 8:07.
"So what now?" Spike questions.
"We wait." Twilight replies.
The day had suddenly grown cloudy and grey.
A mass of gold armored ponies and black dressed townsfolk gather at the burial sight. Even some human refugees came to pay respect.
The guards stand in mass formation, all companies side by side. Each company CO stands in front of their knights along with one knight guide arm that held their company flag. The color guard stood at the center in front of the prepared resting places. One held the sun flag, another the moon. A day guard held the day flag, a night guard the night. The Ponyville Battalion Commander stood in front of the color guard and spoke loudly for all to hear.
"Knights, citizens of Ponyville! We gather here on this somber day, to pay our respect and give thanks, to honor those who have fallen in defense her Royal majesty Twilight Sparkle! And her ponies!
At that moment, the Alpha company Captain sounded off.
"Alpha company, present; arms!" Alpha reaches for their swords and draw them swiftly, holding them with both hands close to their chest's horizontally.
"Bravo company..." They do the same as Alpha.
Then Charlie company, then Delta, Echo, Foxtrot and lastly Golf. A band of knights with musical instruments play a somber tune as caskets are brought to their graves. Some of the citizens wept, likely friends or relatives of the fallen. Twilight herself began to openly weep.
"Hey Twi, you doing alright?" Rainbow Dash questions with concern.
The rest gather around her in a group hug including Cadence and Shining Armor.
"Twily try to understand, we as knights, when we are knighted and swear our fealty to her royal majesties. We understand the risks and are fully willing to lay down their life for his or her princess and her ponies. They went knowing they had kept their oath and have achieved the greatest honor they could have ever had."
As the graves continue to be filled with caskets, a strange presence could be felt.
"Do you feel off?" Demon questions Viking.
With that, a blue portal opened a short distance from the two. Demon and Viking draw their sidearms ready for a possible confrontation.
"Well hello everypony, so good to be back after a simply delightful vacation in another dimension with the most devious little..."
Discord takes notice of the two men pointing their pistols at him.
"Oh, I knew the sense of disharmony and unusually long somber after feeling in Equestria had to be something wrong. I never would have expect you to be here, humans!"
Discord looks around himself, becoming aware of his surroundings. The burial ceremony had been completely halted by the disturbance. Guard and citizen alike look on in annoyance.
"My sincerest apologies everypony, please continue." Discord bows his head and takes Fluttershy's hand in his lion paw.
The service resumes, Demon and Viking holster their sidearms and stand arms crossed. The last of royal guard are put to rest. The battalion commander speaks again.
"Company Officers, put your companies at ease!"
They do as instructed, as each CO puts their company at ease, the knights rest their sword's toward the ground. Balancing their blades by the tip with both hands still gripping firm the their hilts.
"Now, we would like to honor our allies in this past conflict, the men in green!"
With that, the caskets with the agents were brought fourth. Same as the royal guard, they are laid to rest one by one. But are giving their own section. Separated by a statue between burial grounds, it was a white stone carving with a guard standing with a sword in his left hand and his right hand out stretched. Grasping the right hand of a human in the agents uniform, holding his rifle by the rail guard in the left hand. A symbol of friendship between warriors.
One grave remain unfilled, at the fore front of all others marked "Her royal majesty and elements savior, Sev."
A group of four knights carry his casket. Demon looks to them, then at his grave stone before walking forward to intercept them, Viking following shortly after. Demon and Viking stop in the path of the knights, causing them to halt confused.
"He was our friend." Viking says.
The knights nod wordlessly, Demon and Viking move to both sides gripping the handle bars as the knights release them. The two men alone carrying the casket, impressing the knights as the four of them were required to limit strain of carrying the weight. Yet Demon and Viking held it up like it was air.
When they reach the grave, Demon and Viking lower Sev down slowly and gracefully. At that moment it started to rain, no one moving or speaking as it pours down upon them.
"You sure you want to do that?" Viking asks.
Demon unclasps the clip under his chin, freeing his helmet from being secured to his head. With both hands he takes both sides of his helmet, removing it from his head.
The princesses and elements along with Spike, Starlight Glimmer, give a light gasp in surprise. They having not seen the faces of their black armored allies. Shining Armor squints trying to see if he could make out any features, but with no success.
"He took off his helmet!" Rainbow squeaks.
Amidst the group commotion, Pinkie Pie rush forward.
"Pinkie Pie wait!" Twilight calls out to her friend.
Pinkie Pie ether does not hear Twilight or ignores her friends plea, racing forward at a happy energetic speed.
"Pinkie Dear; come back!" Rarity shouts.
Pinkie Pie comes to a screeching halt just behind Demon and Viking, Rainbow Dash with her incredible speed catches up almost instantly. Applejack arrives a few moments latter panting.
"Pinkie, they said they don't want their identities to be known, remember what they said could happen if the creeps they deal with found out!?"
Her expression turns from joyous glee to empathetic hurt.
Viking on the other hand, was almost the complete opposite. He had dull black hair that reached down to his shoulders, A full, if scraggly beard and steel grey eyes. His skin lightly rankled with laugh lines and crow's-feet, also was rather pale in complexion compared to Demon's sun kissed complexion. He had a jagged scar across his right brow, continuing upwards into his hairline.
Their expressions is what Pinkie Pie felt sorry for, they were both somber and dejected looking. The pain of loss still strongly evident on their faces. Pinkie Pie's color visually darkens and her mane deflates.
"Is that something we should be concerned about?" Demon questions
"Don't." He simply says, before lowering his hand.
Pinkie Pie slowly retracts her hand, before letting both drop to her sides and walking away slowly.
"Pinkie?"
The rest of the group slowly approach from behind the three mares.
"Oh my, Pinkie what's wrong?" Futtershy asks concerned, not getting a response.
Demon looks to Sev's grave one last time, before looking to Viking and motioning left with his head toward the M.O.C.. Viking nods and they both turn a start walking, slowly scanning the group with their eyes.
"Wait, where are you going?" Twilight asks.
An offer and a field trip
"Wait don't leave!" Twilight continues to plea.
Demon and Viking stop and turn halfway around, looking at her with hidden faces.
"Just one question." Demon begins. "Is there money in it?"
Demon stops and ponders his options for a moment. He would love nothing more than to feel the owl and monkey's blood running down his sword onto his hands, but as of right now he doubts that his vast reserve of human currency called the dollar is of high value here in this land. He may have to start from nothing and work his way up from the bottom again, for the third time in a row. Not a thought that made him happy, but it is what it is and he needs anything he can get.
Demon glances at Viking whom nods once. Demon then faces their M.O.C. Staring.
"So...are you guys staying or..." Before Rainbow Dash could finish her sentence, the M.O.C blinked into none existence.
The group looks dumbfounded and shocked.
"Oh darlings your home!"
With that said, a new vehicle appears in its place. Leaving all the ponies awestruck.
"W-what is that!" Spike questions.
Pushing a big black button, the rear door opens as Demon hand gestures toward the entrance.
"Ladies first."
The crowd panics and everyone starts running away screaming.
"Ow!" Discord yelps shacking his lion paw finger.
The Sun and Moon Princesses turn away back to the Avenger are the first to explore the alien aircraft, stepping slowly into the Avenger's interior. They were curious as to what this Avenger thing was. The first area of the Avenger's haul had plenty of wiggle room to spread out, they noticed the wall on the right had an assortment of tools aligning them, with the left had what appeared to be spray paint cans and a tool box built into the wall itself. As the rest of group piles in, the personal guard of the royalty tries to board.
Demon and Viking pass them by nonchalantly before standing next to a weapons workbench table, blocking off the rest of the haul.
"This isn't a public square, tell you're guards to wait outside." Demon tells Celestia.
The elements, Spike, Cadence and Shining Armor shoot Demon a dirty look, Before Celestia Sighs.
"Leave us." She waves them off.
The guards wordlessly bow their heads before leaving the haul.
"Thank you." Demon says turning to sit at one of the gun turret seats.
There were three of these kinds of seats, Viking Sits next to Demon in the other gun turret seat, the last of which was taken by princess Celestia which was at the opposite corner of the gun deck.
"First come first serve, grab a seat while you can." Viking warns.
Rainbow Dash took the furthest seat to the front of the haul, opposite wall from Demon and Viking. Pinkie Pie sat down next to her, followed by Fluttershy. Rarity and Applejack took the two remaining seats towards the rear entrance.
"This contraption is a flying machine?" Luna questions.
Discord appears normally sized in the rear of the haul. "Yes...Quite!" He grumbles bitterly. Earning a small chuckle from Viking. Discord approaches pointing two fingers at his own eyes then pointing them at Viking, whom returns with a gesture of his own, that being the middle finger.
"Now down to business," Demon starts. "What is it you want?"
The haul remains silent for a few moments before being broken by Viking.
"So you figured us out." He says clapping. "Gold star for you!"
Celestia sighs pinching her nose between her eyes.
"Very well, I want you both to eliminate a bandit hive by yourselves."
The former knight laughs. "Oh the stones on these two!"
Everyone looks at her shocked at such a high amount.
"Beg your pardon Princess Celestia but that is a lot of gold to be givin' somepony, even fer a job like that!"
Demon looks over at Viking, whom nods silently in agreement, Demon nods back at him.
"Deal." He simply says.
Demon stands up from his chair, looking at Viking.
"You feel like piloting?"
Pinkie Pie jumps to the seat in the far back, followed by Fluttershy and Rarity. While Twilight, Starlight and Applejack take the three seats closest to the front. Spike sits where Demon sat, next to Rainbow Dash. As they all sit, Viking comes back around the corner wearing a new outfit.
His balaclava was gone, in place of it was a black half face mask that went up to his nose. He had some type of goggles strapped onto his head. The girls found them strange considering the seemed to have three eyes, when he himself clearly only had two. He had Black tactical boots and a Crye Precision combat uniform, with a pattern that made the girls and spike think of the scales of a snake, colored with black and shades of grey. He wore a black harness with two rifle mags lining it on each side. On his right leg, he had a drop leg holster carrying his Mk.II Heavy Revolver.
"You guy's have some weird clothes compared to other humans." Spike comments.
Demon does the same saying "Enjoy the flight." as he follows behind Viking.
The door slides shut behind them, leaving the elements alone to themselves.
"I can't believe we're in an alien aircraft!" Twilight wiggles in her chair.
With a sigh, Rarity moves around a bit to get as comfortable as she can. "I suppose so."
As Rainbow Dash says this, Discord appears in said seat filing his nails.
"Was open..." She roles her eyes.
A audible *Ping* sounds from the haul's intercom, getting everyone's attention.
"Ladies and Dragon this his your captain speaking , we are being waved in by your princess's personal guard to follow. If you are pink and are a hooker that means you!"
The Avenger begins to rumble to life, exciting all but discord. Whom was sitting cross-eyed with a blank expression.
"Beginning our assent."
Butterflies flutter in the girl's stomachs as the feel themselves lifting off the ground, a whirring sound becoming louder.
Flipping switches and pushing buttons, Viking pulls back on the throttle. The Avenger gradually pulling up, becoming level with the four of five rulers chariot.
"So, a bandit hive that's worth fifty thousand each, must be big?" Viking thinks out loud.
"Sister, I have a question?"
"You Know, princess Celestia did say she wanted to test them. I wonder what she has in mind?" Starlight openly questions.
The group exchanges looks, contemplating the future.
"Your right spike, we can only know when we get there." Twilight finishes.
Silence takes over the haul for a few moments before Rainbow Dash sighs audibly.
"What's wrong Rainbow?" Fluttershy asks.
She unbuckles her seat belt and walks over to the flight deck door.
"Rainbow get back here!" Applejack shouts over the rumbling.
Rainbow Dash ignores her friend, stopping at the door for a moment before sliding it open.
"Hey, you guys!"
Both Demon and Viking's heads turn and look back at her.
"What are doing out of your seat?" Demon asks annoyed.
Rainbow Dash rolls her eyes.
"Whatever dude, hey listen. Its cool you let us ride and all but we're just making small talk back here. Got anything to do to past the time on this thing?"
Demon pulls out his phone and Bluetooths into the Avenger.
"Wait wait!" Viking stops him. Demon looks up from his phone at Viking.
Demon looks between his phone, friend and the chariot they were following, before nodding twice.
"Fuck Yes, lets do it!" Demon says.
"As much some would deem it unprincess like, Luna wanted to complain about how these flights were always boring. Sure they had aliens following behind them in a war machine but still, all there was to do is look at the land below as they passed over.
"If only something interesting would happen one of these trips."

"METAL!" A voice suddenly roars at her from behind.
Making all four of them including the chariot Pegasus pullers jump and look back.
"MMMMM *gasp* MMMMM *gasp* MMMMM *gasp* MMMMM *gasp*"
They see that both Demon and Viking are slowly head banging in unison, making the 'rock and roll' hand as they do.
"She is a daddies girl!" Shining Armor lovingly mocks, getting a disbelieving laugh from her.
"Jeez what a jerk, I just wanted something to keep myself busy!" Rainbow thought to herself, looking annoyed as she sat back down and buckled in.
"Soooo what'd they say!" Pinkie Pie asks bouncing in her own seat.
"METAL!"
It was no where near as loud as the external speaker system. But still loud enough to startle most of the group.
"MMMMMM *gasp* MMMMMM *gasp* MMMMMMM *gasp*"
Rainbow Dash head bangs to the music picking up and soon Spike joins her, followed by Pinkie Pie being a bit more enthusiastic with the motions.
"Its gunna be a long flight." Applejack deadpans.
Two guard sentries stand with spears in hand, one yawns raising an armored glove hand to cover his mouth. The other taps her feet on the stone ground, trying to alleviate the pressure from standing in place for so long.
"Hey." The stallion guard starts.
They stand there in silence for a few moments, before the mare's ears perk up. Her counter part takes notice.
"What's wrong?"
He does as instructed, hearing a low rumbling noise gradually becoming louder. They could only tell its general direction to their left.
"What is that?" She asks.
Other guards posted nearby begin looking into the sky curious. A captain calls up to them.
"Sentries, what do you see?"
He flies up past the two sentries and into the open air past the castle walls, pulling out a hand held telescope. He looks left and right until finally spotting the source.
"Well, what is it?" The mare calls to the Pegasus.
Celestia was still contemplating Demon and Viking's trial. A way to expose their methods and strategies, their individual and cooperative power.
"Oh dear, they aren't expecting our guests." She say's to her fellow rulers.
Celestia turns halfway around and holds up her hand in a stop gesture.
"They're telling us to stop." Demon says.
As the Avenger slows to a halt, the princess's fly ahead. Within a minute the met the mass of royal guards.
"Halt Knights!" Luna speaks in the royal voice, raising a hand.
They all stop in front of their rulers.
"Your majesties, are you alright? We spotted that thing chasing you!"
The others obey and spread out wide enough for the Avenger to pass. Luna fires a magic bolt into the air and it explodes, forming the word 'come'.
The Avenger's wings point forward and accelerates toward them. The sky chariot flies though the guard's opening continuing forward. As the Avenger flies past them, the guards hover in bewilderment of the strange contraption.
The Avenger's back hatch opens and the girls along with discord and spike step out.
"I've got to get their playlist on my phone!" Rainbow Dash pumps a fist into the air excitedly."
The Avenger's wings fold into the sides of the aircraft to save on space being taken up. Demon and Viking come walking around the gun deck and out the hatch. Demon without looking, pulls out his remote and hits the hatch button closing it as they come face to face with the group.
"Here we are, so what's test of yours about?" Demon asks princess Celestia.
Demon and Viking follow close behind, them being followed by Spike, Discord and the rest of the girls.
"I look forward to whatever it is you have planed my sister." Luna comments.
"Here we are!" Twilight Says opening the rooms door.
It was more or less the same as Twilight's castle guest's room, the main difference being less crystal more stone work. Otherwise you have your standard, flat screen TV, dressers, closet, bathroom and two king sized beds.
"Gucci!" Viking jokes.
Twilight trails off realizing Demon had removed his helmet, she could't help but to stair, she had only caught a glimpse of it before. Now here she was, three feet away able to clearly take in all his features.
"Need something?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.
Demon hums in a way that sounds like long draw out 'oh'. The rest of the group stands out side the door as Demon continues to undo his armor's straps on his upper body.
Demon has only gotten to his shoulder pauldrons, chest and back armor plate that was held to his torso by straps loosened at his sides and was now removing his gauntlets connected to his armored gloves.
"Um, hey guys. Is it cool if we come in or what?" Rainbow asks from the door on behalf of the group.
Demon wordlessly waves them in, they all enter one after the other. Demon having striped the upper half of his armor away and dropped it at the foot of his bed, takes his combat top off. Revealing his strong and defined mussels with scared skin, his tattoos were also revealed.
His back had two crossed Gladius swords and the words 'MOLON LABE' over them written in Greek, along with a black wreath on ether side of them. His left arm had a depiction of a dragon that was serpent like in its form, wrapping itself around a sword that the girls and spike didn't recognize, other than Demon having one that looked the same. On his right arm's shoulder were eagle like feathers that reached down to his wrist. Lastly he had an Eagle head on his left pectoral, with simple wing design behind its head. Three stars above it and below its head were the words 'strike force' over a 'V' design, a wreath circling around all previously mentioned designs. With a large black circle highlighting it all.q
"Oh we're having that kind of party eh?" Viking removes his own shirt, tossing it to his bedside and standing up doing a playful mocho man flex.
He had a traditional Thor's hammer on lower chest and a elaborate Nordic sleeve design on his left arm. Lastly on his back was a Norse rune, depicting a mans face inside an hourglass looking metal anvil or some kind of pillar.
The girls couldn't help but to be surprised, they had no idea what to make of their ink.
"A-are those...cutie marks?" Twilight asks.
Twilight traces a finger down the sword on his left arm. Another finger drags along his back's right sword, demon turns his head to see an entranced Starlight Glimmer.
"Do you ponies always touch without asking?"
Viking plops back down onto his bed before starting.
"Mine are personally about my heritage, tracing back to the Norse people and Viking Warriors."
The room remained silent, contemplating his short story behind his tattoo.
"As for the feathers on my right arm, I like eagles. As for the dragon and sword on my left arm, I like the Katana sword and dragons. As for my name, its mostly the helmet, that and the state my enemies find their friends bodes in when they find out there dead."
The group still remains silent, only exchanging glances.
"Look, we're gunna get settled in, mind if we get some privacy?" Demon asks.
Without a word Twilight nods, as she and the rest of the group leave closing the door.
