Chapter 13- Never Judge a Book by it's Cover

She had always wondered what death felt like. Did it hurt? Where did you go? Because of RESETS they'd be the first ponies that would know. If it wasn't totally creepy and weird she'd totally tell everyone. She closed her eyes. She was ready.
It seemed however fate had other plans for her. Well, not fate but definitely someone. She felt a tug on her soul. It didn't feel like a reset though, it felt different... a good different.
She felt herself getting pulled, flying away from the deadly trap she had been trapped in. She opened her eyes, searching for her destination. A tree! Great! She had been thrown so by the time she had opened her eyes, her saviors aura had dissipated. She closed her eyes once more, waiting for the impact.
It never came.
She abruptly stopped, hovering in the air. The momentum she had been going at caused one of her legs to hit the tree, bruising it. She opened her eyes and gasped. The bark was inches from her face but it looked different. Why? Cause it was blue. Baby blue to be exact. A specific baby blue.
Her friends were shouting... but that didn't matter. Papyrus was saying another self-advertising speech... but she didn't care. Her hoof touched the ground... but that didn't register. The only thought was how, a person she had called worthless and pathetic, had saved her life. And he could do magic?!
"PONY? HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT? HOW DID YOU FLOAT IN THE AIR? WAS IT YOUR FRIEND?" The world came crashing down as all her senses returned. Her thoughts racing at a hundred miles an hour. One thought stood out though. He doesn't know and she wouldn't tell him.
"You! You monster! That's almost another one of my friends you've killed!" Scootaloo's were glazed over in anger, if she had been angry before it was nothing compared to this. She turned to face the young skeleton.
"A-ANOTHER? PONY, I-?"
"Shut up!" Scootaloo lunged at Papyrus, only to be blocked by a wall of bones. She was sure it wasn't Papyrus who had caused this but Scootaloo for sure did not. "That- that almost killed me!" Papyrus and Scootaloo were both shocked and she took advantage of that.
"Papyrus? Why do you want to capture us?" The skeleton turned to face her, frowning.
"DID I NOT EXPLAIN? I WISH TO BE PART OF THE ROYAL GUARD!"
"And kill people and ponies?" Sweetie spoke up, the puppy eyes she used on Rarity in play.
"N-NO! OF COURSE NOT! I WISH- I WISH! I WISH TO HAVE FRIENDS PONY!"
"But you have friends! Snowdin!"
"THEY ARE NOT MY FRIENDS! NO ONE COMES TO ANY OF MY PARTIES! NO ONE LIKES MY SPAGHETTI!"
"What about Sans?"
"HE DOES NOT COUNT! HE IS MY BROTHER AFTER ALL! ALTHOUGH..." He hestiated."HIS SUPPORT IS VERY MUCH APPERCIATED."
"I thought you were my friend..." Scootaloo spoke up for the first time. Papyrus looked at her shocked.
"You know what the problem is? You think fame and friendship is the same thing. That if you're the leader, you'll have true friends but really? You won't because friendship is treating each other as equals. Like me and those two for example. We have a group but we have no leader, everyone is the leader, that's how it works." She approached the skeleton and hugged him. Soon the other girls joined in.
"Sorry about that Papyrus, I kinda over-reacted..."
"IT IS OKAY PO-SCOOTALOO." He smiled at them before sighing. "I HAVE TO GO TALK TO MY BOSS..."
"Papyrus, you didn't tell us where t- Nevermind... I've gotta go find someone a minute, see ya girls later..." She waved before walking off, the other skeleton on her mind.
A weird sensation passed through her body, similar yet different to the time Twilight had teleported her after Apple Bloom had begged her. It was a weird experience.
"Where are you going?" She jumped. She had been deep in her thought and hadn't noticed she had walked past her destination, out of Snowdin and into the forest. She looked around for the source of the voice. It was that cat again, the one who wouldn't tell her her name.
"Oh, I was going to see Sans. I kinda lost track of time..."The cat chuckled and she blushed.
"Sans, my dear? But that's Snowdin, so ever far from here."
"Why? Where am I?"
"The forgotten cave of course!" She looked at her, giving her a deadpan stare. "Oh, I know you're not from around here, how could I not seeing as who I am."
"And that is...?"
"Ah, ah, that would be cheating dear. The only way for you to know that was if you were the author or the editor of this story and I've been told even he doesn't want to know. I'll tell you when someone guesses correctly."
"Uhhhhh... Right... That would be when...?"
"Well, I don't know dearie, I'm not River Song even though some of you think so for what ever reason. Some people even went on Google to find me! They would find me there of course but that would take ever so long and defiantly not like this."
"Umm... okay?"
"Anyway, I won't distract you any longer darling, have a nice walk back to Snowdin." After saying that she walked into the opening in the wall. She followed her and walked into a dark corridor with only four mushrooms and a large locked stone door. The cat was gone. She sighed. This was going to be a long walk back to Snowdin... if she could find it that is...
