Chapters The, uh, Pony Named Puppeteer
It was an early spring morning. Celestia barely raise the sun when a yellow pegasus trotted near the entrance of the Everfree Forest with a saddle bag and a basket in hoof. Fluttershy lean into a bush, after nuzzling the bush a bit a family of rabbits hopped out and greet the pegasus. She lightly petted the male rabbit, his soft brown rubbing against her hoof. Using her wing, she open her saddle bag to pull out a small bag full of carrots to feed the family. "Here you go, eat up." she said smiling. The female rabbit sniff the small carrot, then she took at the carrot. She broke the carrot up into two and give one piece to the brown rabbit and on to herself. Fluttershy giggled and past out the rest the carrot out to the little ones.
Every year, at the beginning of spring, she wakes up extremely early to get every animal in the area as she possibly can. Because at the beginning of spring, hunting season starts. Eating meat was banned in Equestria so hunting for food was out of the question, but hunting for fur and/ or for game isn't. Fluttershy had excepted the fact that she can't save every animal from nature's food change, but other ponies hunting small animals just for games is just discussing for her. So every year, she goes anywhere and everywhere an wild animals is to rescue them before an pony with a gun comes and shots the poor thing. Over the years she gain a reputation of hiding animals in her house, so much so hunting season keeps on being moved earlier and earlier each year. In response, she does as well.
"Come on Mr. and Miss rabbit, I need to get you and your family out of here and into safety." she said rapping her hooves around the rabbit family. She snuggled the family a bit. "We need to get out of here before the mean old hunters come and kill you." She place the family into a basket she brought with a purple pillow in it, putting them softly in and patting them on the head. She pull the small blanket she had over them to keep them warm.
"There." Fluttershy smiled. "Now let me just-" Then, out of nowhere, she heard it.
{*SSCCCRREEEEEEEEECCHH!*}
A horrifying, demonic scream shouted out of the Everfree. Birds flied out franticly from the sound and other animals fallowed. Bushes and tree branches shook violently and dust flied off the ground from the animals fleeing from the sound. Fluttershy jumped four feet into the air in reaction of the sound. Quickly after she did, a black figure shot out of the Everfree and hit Fluttershy head on. She fell onto the ground face first right in front of the basket while the figure crash by a nearby stump. Fluttershy lift her head to check the rabbit family if they are okay, they were thankfully just shaken by the horrible sound. She turned to face whatever hit her, the figure just picking itself off the ground, shaking off the dust.
It was a tall, black filly, well, it looked like one anyway on first glance. But the last time Fluttershy had checked fillies didn't had such thin legs. The so called filly mane and tail was black, long, a little messy and wavy. Its wore metal shoes that looked similarly to ones that a royal solider would ware into battle. It wore a long, black cape, not long to covered its entire backside of its body but long enough to covered where its cutie mark should be, holding the cape together is an opal pin that glittered in the rising sun. It also wore a checkered black and white top hat with a red ribbon around it, on the ribbon was a black rose with a red feather connected on it. Now that she is thinking about it, was it a filly? The only reason that she came the conclusion that it was a filly because how the body was short like a filly does, but now looking at it the body was much thinner than a filly's body, way thinner. It looked like it didn't eaten in months, where she stand she could see its rib bones.
Once the being turned around to face Fluttershy, Fluttershy heart stopped completely. Its horn was the sharpest that she had ever seen, it looked like it could cut down a tree just by rubbing against it. It didn't had a mouth, nothing was there under its nose and eyes at all. Its eyes scared her the most. It was lifeless, it didn't look like any pony eyes she ever seen, it was small and purely black, but its third eye was out of place. It was place under its horn and the eye was a small white dot in a sea of bright multi colors.
It tilted its head to the left, flicking its ear a little. Intently, it moved right up to Fluttershy face, it didn't ran up to her or teleport with magic, it slide to her without moving its leg. Fluttershy screech, she quickly flew to a nearby tree while the rabbit family scattered. After a few seconds, she looked down shivering. The creature now was sniffing the basket where the rabbit once were. Fluttershy looked the creatures back leg, one its right leg was a huge bear trap clamped on shut. Oh dear, that's where that awful sound came from. Fluttershy thought putting a hoof over her mouth. One of the hunters must of place a bear trap in the forest without my knowledge and it must of step on it. Oh those damn hunters!
Fluttershy slowly flew back down to the ground. It may be an unknowable monster, but it was hurt and she needed to help it. Once she touch the ground, she tip toe towards the creature while using her wing to pull out some food out her saddle bag. Her plan was to bring the creature to her cabin by using food so she can get the bear trap off safely and not hurting the creature anymore. She was able pulled out a white cupcake with a rainbow frosting plop on top and some red cherry sauce in some area that Pinkiepie have given her the other day. She lifted the cupcake in front of her.
"Hey...little guy." She said. "Do you want cupcake?"
The creature lifted it head to face Fluttershy. It looks at her for a bit before heading towards the cupcake. This time it actually walked instead of sliding, its metal shoes click clacking as it walked. It dragged its bear trap leg to Fluttershy, but not in pain, it dragged it like it was carrying a heavy bag more than anything else. In fact the creature itself didn't seem to care about its injury. It seems more concerned about what happens to the cupcake more than its leg. The creature sniff the cupcake for a moment, then its horn lit up in a blending of colors to levitate the cupcake out of Fluttershy's hoof. The creature examine the cupcake before a loud ripping sound shot into Fluttershy's ear.
The flesh on the bottom of its head began to rip apart. Fluttershy stared at the horror as the ripping flesh revealed a row of long, sharp teeth. It open its now revealing mouth, rainbow liquid dripped out and hit the ground. The inner mouth of the creature glowed brightly white as silver tongue shot out with some more rainbow spit dripping off and wrapped around the cupcake. It pulled the cupcake into its mouth and shut its tight. As it chew the cupcake, the flesh around its mouth began to heal itself. It covered its mouth like it did before and once it was completely covered it look exactly like it did before.
It swallow the cupcake, then its third eye begins to flash. The small white dot disappear and full bright colors took over. It flash through all sort of colors in a rapped speed. It went like that for a minute before going back to its normal slowly mixing of colors and the small dot reappear. It looked back at Fluttershy quite happily, its tail begins to wag. The creature rubs its head against Fluttershy's chest, making sure not to hit her with its horn. Fluttershy petted the creature, discovering that its mane is surprisingly soft and smooth. Fluttershy softly smiled.
"I guess your nicer than you look." Fluttershy backed up from the creature. the creature look at her with a concerned look. "We need to go back to a safe place so I can take that awful bear trap off." said Fluttershy pointing at the trap. The creature gave her a look that said What bear trap? then looking at its leg the face change to a oh... expression. It turn back to her and nodded. The two, uh, ponies went back to the nice cabin near the forest to take care of the giant bear trap.
Twilight Sparkle was sitting in her tree house sipping nice cup of green tea. She looked down at the "Princess Diary" they decided to call it anyway, to look back to past lessons she and her friends had made. Then, she hear the phone from the other side of the room where she was. She place her cup down on the wooden table that mach her small library home. She called out. "Spike!" Spike was on the other side near the phone, sorting through the books as Twilight ask him to do to order them as they once was. As important as the "Princess Diary" is, it look like a lot of the other books in her library so it was an hassle just fining the thing in the first place. Small dragon turn his head to face her, the large pilled of books stake against his arm, struggling to hold it up. "Yes?" Spike asked sweating.
"Could you get the phone?" Twilight asked taking another sip of her tea. Spike heavily sighed but nodded. He slowly walked towards a nearby table to place the books down. But he slip on a piece of paper that fell out of one of the books. He fell to the ground and the books flew. Spike painfully face planted onto the floor, unlike the books that fell gracefully onto the table. Spike lifted himself up and rub his head, then headed to the phone. He got to the small table near the front door, he pick it up to answered it. "Hello?"
"Um, yes." Said a familiar soft voice. "Could you put of Twilight on phone please?"
{*CRASH!*}
A sound of something crashing into something else egos through the phone. "Um, what's going on Fluttershy?" Spike said concern.
"It's kinda hard to explain on the phone. NO, DROP THAT! Um, could you just put her on the phone please."
Spike looked at phone concerned but turn around to Twilight's direction. "It's...For you." Spike said lifting the phone up. Twilight, catching the concern in Spike's voice, She quickly put her cup down, got up and trotted to the phone. She levitated the phone with her magic and place it up to her ear.
"Hello?" Twilight said. As she said that, a sound of somepony casting several laser spell at once came be heard. She could hear Fluttershy panicking in the background as sounds of animals running about. Twilight assumed that Fluttershy dropped the phone to handle whatever's going on. After a full minute of hearing pure chaos shouting from the phone, Fluttershy picked up phone.
"Sorry about that." Fluttershy said. "I tried to calm the animals down but understandably they won't."
{*CRASH! BANG! BANG!*}
"NO! NOT HURT THE BIRDS!" Fluttershy shouted, her voice cracking. Twilight pulled the phone away from her ear a bit. "Is everything okay?" Twilight asked. "Is Discord bothering you again?"
"No, no it's something else. I went to the Everfree early this morning to save some animal from hunters and this creature leap out of the forest and- DON'T EAT THE TABLE! DON'T EAT THE TABLE!!"
"A creature?" Twilight ask, her interest now peak. "What type of creature?"
"He looked like a filly but don't a filly. Anyway, he got a bear trap stuck to its leg and I decided to give him one of Pinkiepie's cupcakes to bring it back to my place. Once I did he went crazy, I think he is going through a sugar rush."
"I bets so, have you seen how Pinkiepie make any bakery? They filled to the brim with sugar and corn syrup."
{*ZAP!*}
"AAAAH!"
"Do you need me to come and help?"
"That's way I called. I want you to get the others to help with this, he's just so fast and REALLY good at magic and I don't think I can handle this myself."
"Don't worry." Twilight said getting some measurement tools and some animals and creature books into a saddle bag and rapping around herself, still holding the phone. "We'll be there in a min-"
{*KA-BOOM!!!!!*}
A explosion egos in the background of the phone, fallowing a scream. Twilight pulled the phone completely away from for a second before putting it back to her ear.
"Thank you Twilight!" Fluttershy said. "But I need to go, he set the kitchen on fire!" Then Fluttershy hanged up.

The, uh, Pony Named Puppeteer
Chapter 2
"Puppet!" shouted a brown pegasus, trotting up the old stair cast onto the third floor of an old orphanage. She looked into each bedroom, small, a little dirty and somewhat dark. But it was livable for the little fillies and colts who currently live here. She was looking for a small colt that hasn't turned for breakfast yet. She turn to a bedroom near the end of the hallway, she poked her head in to look in. Her bright blue eyes shimmered in the soft light that came through the window. "Puppet?..." She call out while she step inside.
"BOO!" shouted a small black colt jump out the darkness. The pegasus screamed in reaction and fell on her bottom. The small unicorn giggled, his black wavy mane shined in the rising sun. The pegasus giggled with the small colt. She got up and gave the small unicorn a hug, wrapping around the colt's black cape and his checkered top hat leaning into the pegasus's lab coat. After a short while, she let go of the small colt and moved his top hat back slightly behind his ears.
"Did I scare you good?" The small unicorn asked.
"Yes you did Puppet." The brown mare smile, patting the small colt on the head. "Now Puppet, you know you should of been down stairs with everypony else ten minutes ago."
"I'm sorry Chemicals." Puppet said, his ear drooping. "It's just- I just not like any of the ponies here, except you."
"Why not?" Chemicals asked nicely.
"Well...Everyone is just mean. All the other kids make fun of me because I ware my father's cape and hat."
"That's because they don't understand that that's all you have left of your father."
"That's what you keep telling me... Also they make funny of me because I gave Cloud Thunder a card on Hearts and Hooves day."
"Well.. Most children of your age don't realize that a colt can like another colt as well as a mare can like another mare." Puppet blushed a little, then continued.
"And it's not just that, I don't like any of the other scientist that are working here. They push me and pull on my mane, and sticking needles in my chest. And they always telling you that you shouldn't be a scientist or you shouldn't be talking to the test subjects you airborne twat! all because you are an pegasus! I don't like that."
"Oh, that..." Chemicals sighed. She lowered herself to Puppets level, meeting eye to eye. "Puppet, I know those are things you don't want to hear and frankly, nether than anypony worth a damn. But sadly not everypony sees that way. And I know this is 100% wrong for them for using such raciest comments but this what I have to put up with to get the work done."
"But why? Why say those things even though you work the hardest out of everypony?"
"Well... That's because a job of being scientist is mainly a unicorn job. Not a lot of pegasus and earthponies have scientist degree. You see, ponies even to this day have this idea in their head that unicorns are smart so they must have a job that needs a lot of intelligent and pegasus have wings so they must have a job that have to do with the weather things like that. So as much our society as grown over the years, we still have some raciest problems. Do you understand?"
Puppet didn't say anything but nod his head, his face is a mixer of anger and sadness. Chemicals petted his head for a bit before she remembered. "Oh, speaking of needles..."
"Oh no."
"It's time for your shot." Chemicals said putting her hoof in her lab coat and pull out a long needle filled of a rainbow liquid glowing brightly in the darkness .
"Why do I need to take it? Nopony else is taking it!"
"I for the test Puppet. Everypony else is taking something different and yours just so happen to be a shot. Anyway, you're the most successful test subject out of everypony here."
"Really?" Puppet asked now having a shy smile on his face, his red eyes glimmering.
"Oh yes, according to charts your magical abilities have sky rocketed through the roof! At this point you can teleport across the world."
Puppet smiled as he pulled out his arm. Chemicals slowly put the needle in his arm and starting putting the glowing liquid in his blood stream. Puppet started to tear up a little once the liquid began to burn his skin. After a small bit the burning stop and a burst on energy comes flowing in. Chemicals patted Puppet again, putting a smile on his face. Then, they heard a familiar, but very un-wanting voice. "CHEMICALS!!!"
"Fuck." Chemicals whispered as she turned around and walked out the door. Puppet looked outside the door to see Chemicals stop at the end of the hall near the stair case. Even where he stand, he could tell that Chemicals is annoyed.
"What the hell do you was Sci?!" She shouted back down the stairs.
"Did you fine the little brat?!" Sci shorted angry.
"Yes! And I gave him his daily shot just to let you know!"
"Good, you did something right for once. Now bring the brat down here with the rest of them! The testing is starting."
"He has a name you know!"
"Whatever!"
"UHG!" Chemicals said stopping her hoof on the wooden floor. Angry trotted back to where Puppet is. She quickly calm herself down, taking a deep breath. She lean towards the black unicorn. "If you haven't heard, Mr. Pain in the neck wants use to go down stairs."
Puppet nodded and the both of them trotted side by side down the stairs and headed down to the first floor.
"A creature?" Rarity asked worriedly, trotting right next to Twilight as her and the rest of her friends heading to Fluttershy house. The sun beaming a pond them and a light breeze blew on their faces. "And it's destroying Fluttershy's house?!"
"Yes." Twilight said. "What I have gotten from the chaotic phone call was it was a pony like creature that was going through a sugar rush."
"A sugar rush?" Applejack said raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I know. According to Fluttershy, she gave it one of Pinkiepie's cupcake to lead it back to her place because it was hurt."
"Oh yeah!" Pinkiepie said cheerfully. "I did gave her a box full of Rainbow Dash cupcake the other day."
"Um, Rainbow Dash cupcakes?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Yeah! I read an little horror story on the internet and its inspired by it so I make a batch of cupcake base on it."
"Oooh okaaayyy..." Rainbow Dash said slowly, flying a little bit farther away from Pinkie. Everypony looked at Pinkie oddly for a moment before going back to their conversation.
"Do you think it's a changeling?" Rarity asked. "I mean, they are a pony like being."
"If it is, this will be a piece of cake!" Rainbow Dash said slamming her hoof into her other one.
Twilight shook her head. "No I don't think so. If it was, Fluttershy would of said so."
"Whatever it is." Applejack smiled. "I'm sure we can handle it." Once she said that, they reach the top of the small hill near Fluttershy's house. What they saw stop them in their tracks. Haft of Fluttershy's house was filled with holes and a small part of it was painted with fire that was being put by a pony that looked like Fluttershy. The yard was rip up and cover with dirt and glass. As they walk up to the broken house, they could see a filly shape hole on the front door and a rabbit shape one in the window next to it. The lovely smell of burnt fur, hair and wood greeted their nose as they went around the side of the house. They found Fluttershy's animals in a tree shaken in fear, even a large tiger is shaking and hiding with the rest of the scared animals.
"Where did Fluttershy get a tiger?" Rainbow asked, looking up the tree.
"Better not ask." Rarity replied and continue walking through the destruction. The group looked into a large hole that use to be the kitchen door, they saw Fluttershy pouring water on the final flame that was on her stove.
"Um, Fluttershy?" Twilight asked as a piece of the ceiling fell to the ground. Fluttershy turn to face her friends. Her mane and tail was a complete
"Hello everyone...Thank you for coming." Fluttershy said smiling. Twilight smiled back. Even when something unknowable destroyed and set fire everything to her house, she still keep a kind smile on her face.
"He's finally calmed down." Fluttershy said pointing into what was left of the living room. there the creature was, sleeping peacefully on the beat up coach next to a dead, bloody bird. It's third eye contently looking around the room, acting as a look out went its sleeping. Around it's leg was an ice pack, Twilight assumed that's where the bear trap once was.
"I've never seen anything like it before!" Rarity shouted in awe.
"That's not a changeling alright." Pinkiepie commented.
"That raises the question, what exactly is it?" Applejack said.
Twilight lifted a rather large, green book out of her saddle bag with her magic, she struggled a little to pull it out and placing it on the table. The book shook the table when it landed, almost breaking it into two. The title of the book was Creatures and Monsters of the Equestrian Land. By Durpy Hooves.
"What's that?" Rainbow dash ask.
"Whatever this creature is we will find it in here." Twilight smiled. Twilight open the book to the index page of the book and skim through it.
"What are you looking for?" Pinkiepie said stretching her neck really long to look over Twilight's shoulder.
"I looking for the section where Ponyvill and the Everfree forest is. That's where it-"
"He." Fluttershy said cutting Twilight off.
"Say what?" Applejack said.
"The creature is a He, I checked." Fluttershy said slightly blushing.
"He was found." Twilight continued, going to the section of the book that Ponyvill and the Everfree is at. "It's a starting point at least. If I can't fine whatever he is in this sec-TION!!!" Twilight jump back and the others fallowed. Rainbow Dash flew up and hit her head on the ceiling, Twilight fell backwards onto the floor, Applejack rammed into a door way, while Rarity crash on top on Fluttershy and Pinkiepie and both fell to the floor next to Twilight. The creature suddenly teleport into the kitchen and onto the table where the group was. He sniff the book a little bit before looking at Twilight and the group with a face that says sup?
Twilight got up. "Okay... Little guy. Could you get off the book please?" Twilight said with a plaster smile and moving her hoof with a get off motion. The creature stared at her for a moment, then slowly gets off the table. The creature lit up its horn to levitate a not so broken chair, moved it towards the table and sat on it while putting its two front hooves on the table.
"At least he knows his table manners." Rarity commented fixing her mane.
"Yeah." Pinkiepie smiled, quickly jump off the floor and run up to the creature. "He also had a top hat and a cape too boot." Pinkie place her hoof on the black cape, the turned and hissed at her. She quickly pulled her hoof away and slowly backed off. The creature lowered it ears and gave Pinkie a sorry face. He turned to Fluttershy and gave her a I'm also sorry for destroying and burning your house face. Fluttershy petted the creature. "It's okay, I know you didn't mean it."
Twilight stared at the creature. She was little surprise how the creature looked. If you didn't count how thin his leg was, the third eye and have no such mouth, it looked exactly like any other pony. She was also a little surprise that it look more female look more then a normal colt would. She pondered for a bit, she wondered if this creature could be part of the changeling family. Both were a pony like creature and judging from how this creature can teleport which means it has a high intelligence that the changeling also have. So it does fit the bill a little bit, but she need more info before making an conclusion. With that thought in mind, she went back to the index page to fine the changeling page and went to it.
"Um, What's he doing?" Applejack said putting dusty hat back on her head. The creature lit up his horn once more to pull out a bunch on blank paper and a pen out of Twilight's bag. It lifted the pen, place the pen on the paper and begins to write. Everypony stared at the creature as it wrote a short message on the paper which said My name is Puppeteer. Do you want to see a trick?
"I can write?!" Rarity shouted, looking straight at the paper.
"And a name." Rainbow Dash added.
"Never that, I want to see this trick!" Pinkiepie happily said. Puppeteer's horn lit up again to slammed the dead bird from the coach onto the table. Rarity screech and hide behind Applejack.
"That wasn't a good trick at all." Pinkiepie said sadly, feeling like she was betray by Celestia herself. Puppeteer lift he's thin hoof and shook his head. He lit up his horn once more, but this time it lit up a different way. The past times he lit his horn, it usually just mixing different bright colors, but instead it dimly glowed a deep black. The aura around the horn begins to formed into strings, ones you can find on a puppet. It attach itself onto the bloody bird, connecting onto its wings, legs, head and beak. Once all was connected, the bird burst into life.
The bird chirped and singed a happy turn. It flew into the air and daces around still singing. Everypony stares in awe at the unbelievable site. They couldn't keep their eyes off of the somewhat horrifying sight. The bird landed onto the table, it hopped about on the table. After a while Puppeteer remove the magical strings off the bird, the bird instantly flop down. Lifeless and as dead as once were. They just stared at the once again dead bird for seemed like hours, nopony said single word. How could this happen? How can somepony can cheat death like that, and pulled its dead body about like a puppet?
"How..." Rarity said breaking the silences.
"I don't know..." Twilight said pulling her hoof off the book. "I just don't know..."
Just then, Fluttershy's rabbit Angle showed up. Cuts and brushed covered the small white rabbit. Twilight remembered the rabbit shape hole in the window and put two and two together. Angle looked at Puppeteer furiously, tapping his furry foot very fast. The small rabbit was holding a gray rock. The salty rabbit threw the rock at Puppeteer, bouncing of Puppeteer's head. Puppeteer eyes busted into anger as Angle gave him a smug smile and a small pink tongue.
"HEY!" Twilight shouted as Puppeteer, without thinking, levitated Twilight's monster book and threw it at the rabbit. Angle went flying one way as the book went another. Angle crashed into a piled of broken ceiling parts, while the book landed onto the stove open face down. Some of the pages ripped apart and some was stained by a coffee cup being spilled onto in. They stared at the book for a moment before Pinkie spoke. "Well it could of been worst."
Then the book set a flame.

Chapter 3
The small radio sits on the wooden table sitting in the middle of the room played a soft melody. He listen to the soft but sad turn as he looked around the room he is in. The duel living room full of duel paintings bored the small black unicorn as he put his attention to the window in front of him. Outside, children ran about, laughing and playing in the front yard. Some of them are playing in the dark and foreboding forest that surround the orphanage. A felling of sadness struck the small unicorn. He heard clopping of hooves heading his directions, he turn around to face whoever was coming. Chemicals trotted into the room with her normal kind smile she have.
"Hey Puppet." She said her eyes sparkled in joy. "How are you doing?"
"I'm fine." Puppet said slightly smiling at Chemicals arrival. Chemicals went up to him and gave him a pat on the head. Another sound of somepony coming towards them both, but this time a sound of metal hitting the ground. Chemicals turn her head around and her smile grew bigger.
"There's somepony very special here to see you." Chemicals said as she set away to reveal whoever was behind her. It was a thin pink mare, with a long curly mane that have three main colors, a light yellow, a dark pink and a bold purple. She wore a fancy golden shoes and ware, but the most noticeable part of the mare was that she had a horn and wings.
"Princess Cadence!" Puppet smiled widely. Jumping up in glee and trotted up the graceful pony. The pink princess gave a joyful look. "Hello Puppeteer. I heard a lot about you."
"Really?!"
"Oh yes really. Chemicals here told me that you're the most successful out of all of the children here. And i also heard you grew three inches in a span of two days." Puppet smiled grew bigger than it once were, looking back at the brown pegasus and then looking at the royal mare. Cadence lifted her hoof, she lift up Puppet's cape a small bit and took at peak at Puppet's left side.
"Um... What are you looking at?" Puppet asked, looking at the princess concerned.
"Oh, nothing! Nothing...It's just- I was just expecting something to be there...That's all." Cadence said slightly sweating, her eyes darting back and forward and have a almost force smile. Chemicals giggled. "In due time princess, in due time."
"Yes of course!" Cadence said pulling herself back together. "Of course."
Puppet just looked at the two mare, not knowing what the heck was going on. Chemicals, realizing that Puppet was lost, she smiled and petted the now tall, young unicorn. "You'll find out soon enough." Puppet raise an eyebrow at Chemicals, but smiled and nodded. Cadence said her goodbyes, patted Puppet on the head and she went off.
Just as she did, Sci walked in with two other unicorns on foot, all glaring at Chemicals. "In due time princess. What the hell was all that about? You don't know that!" Sci harshly said. Chemicals turned to Puppet and lowered herself to his level. "I think you should go outside with the rest." Puppet, knowing what's going to happen next, nodded and went outside. Once he was gone, Chemicals turned back to the three unicorns and return the glare. "You're right, I don't know that for sure. But from all the information that we collected, there's a high chance of it to happen."
Sci rolled his eyes. "Oh please, just because his magic ability has increase by 20% doesn't mean he won't become-"
"I believe he will." Chemicals said cutting Sci off. "I believe he will by judging by the charts."
Sci and the other unicorns laughed. "Oh you pegasus are such daydreamers. Believing he can is SO much different than actual facts." Chemicals narrowed her eyes, she thought for a moment before a smile appear on her face.
"You unicorns." She said. "Always get SO jealous at the tinniest of things."
"What the hell did you say to me?" Sci said threading. Chemicals continued. "I mean, once nice thing said out of a princess and all of you start to spit out raciest comments. You silly unicorns."
"Why you air-bitch!" Sci said leaping at Chemicals. Chemicals spread her wings and flew off the ground before Sci even touch her. She flew over the two other unicorns and landing next to the door to the hallway. She gave them a smirk. "You need to work on your anger issues Sci. It may actually save your ass one day." Then she trotted out of the room.
Meanwhile outside, thing weren't going well for Puppet. Once he got outside, the children stopped and gathered around the tall unicorn. Glaring all around him with made him sweat a little. A gray earthpony spoke out first. "Well isn't it Rainbow horn." As he said that he threw a rock. Puppet lit up his horn to catch the rock before it hit him, lighting up and mixing into different colors. Ever since he's started token the glowing shots, every time he used magic his horn lit up in all sorts of different colors, fallowing with the nickname Rainbow horn.
The gray pony continued, walking up to Puppet and putting his face real close to his. "I bet that you feel very special because the princess gave you a nice com-com..."
"Comment?" Puppet asked. Puppet got shoved by the gray pony, falling face first onto the ground. "Shut up!" said the gray pony. The children laughed again, but stopped when a voice shot out.
"Come on Pun Rock, he was just helping." The children looked at the young white pegasus who walking towards Pun Rock. Cloud Thunder pushed Pun Rock before being punch by Pun Rock.
"Why are you defending this freak?!" Pun Rock shouted. "He gave you a love note on Hearts and Hooves day! What colt would like another colt?!"
"A lot actually." Puppet get up of the ground, picking up his hat. He turn around and walked up to Pun Rock. "Fucker." Then punch him in the face. Pun fell to the ground and the children step far back. Puppet got on top of him. Puppet punch him repeatedly in anger, using both of his hooves. Pun Rock, not going down without a fight, bucks Puppet in the face. Puppet fell on his back while Pun got up and return the punches at Puppet.
"You think you're so tough?!" Pun Rock hissed. "You think you're on top of the world?! You think that using bad words and beating ponies you don't like will make you better than the rest?! Well you're wrong! You will all ways be a lonely freak and a loser that no pony likes and no pony will ever adopt you! Not even Princess Cadence!!"
Then, all of a sudden, black strings shot out. Puppet's horn glowed a black aura where the strings came from connect to Pun's body. Pun Rock backed off on Puppet as well as the others. Pun struggled as each string connect to his body, legs and mouth. Then he stopped completely, Pun Rock not only stopped but also went silent and his eyes went lifeless. Everypony stared in horror as the strings seemed to control the earthpony to walk far away from Puppet and sat down. Once he did, the strings unattached and went back to Puppet and disappeared with the black aura. Puppet and the others went silent, Puppet himself not knowing what happen. Pun shook his head, coming out of the trance he was in. Thinking for a moment, Pun Rock pointed at Puppet. " Lift him up!"
Once he said that, two pegasus flew up to Puppet. They grabbed his two front legs and lifted him into the air. The children smiled and laughed as Puppet struggled as the flu higher and higher, knowing what will happen next. They did this to him two months ago, they will lift them high in the air to the highest point of the tree nearby, then will drop him. The last time they did, he broke his leg and couldn't walk of a month, now there doing it again. He lit up his horn, trying to do whatever he did moments ago to make them stop. But it was too late, they reach the highest point of the tree, then they drop them. He fell down at a rapped speed, going face down. The ground moved loser and loser with the children laugher burst into his ears. Cloud Thunder lifted his wings and jump into the air.
Before he was even lose to him, Puppet swoop up into the air before touching the ground. He went above the two pegasus and dances in the cool, Everfree air. Everypony stared in awe as a black feather floated softly to the ground.
"I can't believe Pinkie made us do this!" Rainbow Dash complain as the two pegasus walked with the black unicorn like creature to Ponyvill's school.
"Well, after Puppeteer said that he never been is a public school before. Pinkie didn't like the idea that a child never went to school." Fluttershy said walking next to Puppeteer. After the book tragedy that happen at Fluttershy's house, Twilight flip her shit. She yelled and cried at Puppeteer for a least two minute before she forgave him. Then Twilight put the book away in her saddle bag almost like a funeral, she even put a white flower in the bag. Puppeteer wrote another note that said that her was very sorry. A few notes later, he mention that he never went to school before, Pinkie brought up the idea of putting him in school and here they are now.
"But it's a monster!" Rainbow shouted. Once she did she was greeted with two back hooves in her face. She flew back and crash into a bush. Fluttershy slightly giggled. "Rainbow, you know Puppeteer don't like being called that."
Rainbow dash poked her head out of the bush, leaves and sticks in her hair. "Yeah, I notice." Fluttershy giggled again, softly petting Puppeteer. Puppeteer rub against Fluttershy's hoof in enjoyment. Puppeteer then pulled out a pen and paper out of a saddle bag Fluttershy gave him. He wrote on the paper, then gave the paper to Fluttershy witch said. Thank you Fluttershy for your kindness!
"There's no need for that." Fluttershy said continue walking. "We're just walking you to school, dropping you off and pinking you up again later. No need to thank us for the fifth time. Come on Rainbow!"
Rainbow Dash just got out of the bush when Fluttershy called out. She rolled her eyes and heavily sighed, but fallowed. They trotted into town, like they expected everypony stared at Puppeteer. Most of them stopping what they are doing to look at the black creature. Fluttershy saw Durpy dropped a safe onto somepony's head in shock. She cringes at the aftermath of her doing that, but continued on her way.
"Everypony is staring." Rainbow Dash said look at the ponies expressions.
"Well, Puppeteer is a rare sight." Fluttershy commented.
"Good point. Wait...Where's Twilight? She was just behind us?"
"She went back to her tree house. She took a different route."
"Of course she did..."
Once they reach the school yard, they could see Cheerilee talking to Octavia as they walked up to them. Fluttershy see the children walking in the school ether in groups or by their own. She looked at Puppeteer, his face is a mixer of joy, fear, and a little anger. She petted him with her wing to make him feel better, witch luckily it did. They stopped only two feet away from the two mares, hearing their conversation.
"I can't believe that happen, what the hell is going on?" Octavia said looking slightly down at the ground.
"Are you worried about Vinyl?" Asked Cheerilee concern. "Wasn't she in Cloverfield for a charity?"
"She'll be fine." Octavia quickly said. "She's been in crazier things than this. It's not like a giant alien monster destroying the town or anything crazy like that. So I'm not worried."
"Are you sure? I mean you two have gotten close lately and that phone call you got last night..."
"She'll be fine."
"Um, excuse me?" Fluttershy said butting in to there conversation.
"Oh." Cheerilee said turning to Fluttershy. "How are you to-DAY!!!" She jumped up in reaction to Puppeteer. Almost falling to the ground but catching herself.
"What is THAT?" Octavia said back up a little in shock.
"Don't ask because we don't know ether." Rainbow sighed.
"His named is Puppeteer." Fluttershy smiled. "And by request of Pinkiepie, we are enrolling him into school. He's friendly (when you don't give him a lot of sugar...) and he can understand English really well. Plus, he can write, show her."
Under Fluttershy's command, he pull out another piece of paper and his pen to write out a message. Both Cheerilee and Octavia looked down at the paper as it was being written out, slightly in awe by it. Once Puppeteer was done, he levitated the paper up to Cheerilee's face. The paper said Hello Miss Cheerilee! I'm happy to met you and ready to learn. Cheerilee looked at Puppeteer, then at Fluttershy, then at Octavia not sure what to do. Octavia gave her a I don't know look. A moment past until Cheerilee made a decision.
"Okay, this is unexpected...I'll just hesitate about giving him more than one cookie-because we have a birthday today."
Puppeteer wag his tail and his eyes lighten up. He hugged Cheerilee lightly. Cheerilee looked down at the pony like creature before a smile appeared on her face. Octavia was looking at Puppeteer's third, which creep her out a little trying to pull herself way from the eye . She finally after a second or two pull herself away and looked at the two pegasus. `
"Speaking of unexpected things... Did you heard about what happen at Cloverfield?"
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy looked at each other, then looked at Octavia. "No, what happen?"
"Well apparently there was an outbreak that happen two days ago."
A cold feeling went down Fluttershy's neck and down her back. "An outbreak?" She asked.
"On what?" Rainbow added.
"Nopony knows." Cheerilee said still hugging Puppeteer. "But according to the news papers that came out today, it gotten bad."
"Bad enough for the government to put a magical dome around the city."
"Really?!" Fluttershy gasped. "Wasn't Vinyl-"
"YES." Octavia said harshly. "But she will be find. If she can handle an hostage situation, then she can handle this."
"Vinyl was in a hostage situation once?" Rainbow dash asked.
"That's not important!"

The school bell ringed loudly. Cheerilee looked up at the bell, she let go of Puppeteer and he did as well. She looked down at Puppeteer. "Well it looks like it's time to go to class."
Puppeteer looked at Fluttershy nervously, put she just patted his head her bright blue eyes staring down at him. "It is okay Puppet. You'll do great, see you later." And with that, both Fluttershy and Rainbow trotted off. Octavia would of swear that she saw Puppeteer have a silver tear going down his cheek.

The, uh, Pony Named Puppeteer
Chapter 4
There is a abandon orphanage place deep in the Everfree forest. Inside that orphanage there was a stair case going down into the basement. Within that basement there were tones of high tech machine hissing out steam and container full of unknowable chemicals that glowing brightly in mixing of colors. The glowing liquid reflect of the lab coat from a brown pegasus, softly sobbing next to a large cage in the dark corner of the room. She slowly petted the beast in the cage, whipping away the tears. The beast comfort the pegasus as she lay on the ground the tear. After a while, She got off the floor, whipping the tears off her face again, she spoke. "I need to report this to Princess Cadence." And with that, she trotted over to a nearby table. She pick up a pen with her hoof and begins to write. The letter goes as fallowed.
Dear Princess Cadence
I sadly inform you that the test of the chemicals Nuclear Color had failed horribly. It seems that the chemical had slowly mutated Puppeteer to a pony like creature and I fear the other children will fallow, but worst. For Puppeteer case, I mix a different liquid with the Nuclear Color in his shots just to, really, see what will happen. I will not reveal what that liquid is because I believe we should cancel the project before thing go out of control. The children, since they were taking straight Nuclear Color, I've notice some worrisome thing.
They been hacking up rainbow liquid, most likely the chemical they been taking. Their eyes are going pale, their teeth are going sharp, most of their inner parts art glowing a bright white, and slowly their skin are turning black. And the way they act... They have gotten violent towards the other scientist, me, and to each other. They also been craving meat, which is against pony nature. I fear that if we continue this project, there will be a huge tragedy that will spread across Equestria and will form into the worst thing that ever happen to Equestria.
So please, I beg of you. Cancel the project and get rid of anything that contains Nuclear Color. Pills, shots, barrels, anything that Nuclear Color touch. Inform the ponies in Cloverfield the same message. I know this seems odd that I'm writing a letter to you even though you're coming in an hour. You see, the ponies here are prideful. When the children were starting to crave meat, all they did was give them meat from a dead rabbit and told me to shut it when your around. When your came here last, the children went violent on Puppeteer, even after Puppeteer flied. One of them even bit me, that's when I discovered the rainbow liquid. They'll do anything to cover this up, pretty much they did already.
I'm so sorry Princess...I know this project meant more to you that any pony who was involved, more than Sci. And the fact that you were so happy that Puppet had a huge chance to become an air to the throne, the possible idea that he could raise the moon. To be a gift Princess Celestia so she wouldn't be alone anymore. But it have to be done...
Chemicals, once done, put the letter to a small machine. The machine functions as a fast mailing system that goes straightly to Princess Cadence. Chemicals put the rolled up letter in the clear tube, she push a couple buttons. The letter went up in a magical green flame, it dance around the room before disappearing into the air. Chemicals sighed in relief, thoughts of justice ran through her head as she walked back to the cage. The beast in the cage had a mix of sad, worried and relief. She sat down onto the ground and petted the beast.
"It's going to be okay Puppet... I know that saying Everything is going to be okay isn't going to help because, let's be real here, it won't. Once Cadence gets the letter, I bet right about now, every will sort of go downhill. Most likely she'll bring an good amount of soldiers with her, tones of arrest, you'll be put in some lab in Canterlot to be tested so will the children, and we might face the fact that there might not be a cure. But I want you to know that with every bad event, even if it's one after another, there will be something good that fallows. Even when it's small. If there's nothing good that comes after the several arrest, the one thing that is good that is the fact that no pony will be hurt by this chemical ever again! Do you understand?"
Puppet stared at her a little bit but then nodded. She smiled. "Good." She looked down at her lab coat pocket, she put a hoof in her pocket. She pulled out an opal pin that shimmered in the glowing light from the Nuclear Color. She place the pin on Puppets cape in the very front. She hugged Puppet. "That use to be my mother's. She gave it to me when I went to college. She was very sick at the time so when she gave it to me she said. Even if we will never see each other again, I will always be with you. That always stuck to me... So I'll give it to you."
"CHEMICALS!!!!" An angry voice shouted from up above. Furious footsteps coming towards them. Chemicals shot up and turn to faced the raging light brown unicorn. "What the hell are you doing?! What did you send?!"
"A letter to Cadence, this need to stop now."
"Stop? Are you mad?! I spent years on researching on this, I spent most of my life researching on this unknown chemical, many sleepless night to find out what the fuck is this chemical is. And once the royal family notice my work, you come in a ruin it!"
"Ruin it? Look around you! Look at Puppeteer, look at the children, look at me!" Chemicals lift up her sleeve to reveal a part of her fur and skin going black and seemed to be rotting. Sci slightly backed off in reaction, he bump into the small table right behind him. She lifted her lip to show him some of her teeth are long and sharp.
"This chemical you spent all your life on is a disease that slowly mutated ponies into an unknown monster, and they crave meat! And from the bit I got the other day proved it. We need to stop this before this gets out of control and spread."
"You're overreacting." Sci said turning to face the table behind.
"Overreacting?!? Your under reacting!!! We are in danger in an actual zombie apocalypse here, but instead of zombies we have nuclear, mutated ponies. Haft of them will be Ali-"
"Look at Puppeteer! He didn't become a zombies like creature."
"That's because I put cooking oil in with the Nuclear Color in his shots!"
"What?"
"I put cooking oil with his shots because I wanted to see what happen. One day I accidently mix the chemical with cooking oil when I was making breakfast, I didn't realize it until I gave it to him, since then I put it in. Pretty much my fuck up saved him!"
Silence stuck the room. Several moments past until a large thumping noise. Fallowing those thumping noises was hissing and breaking of wood. Chemicals looked at Sci. "What's going on upstairs?"
"We're fine."
"We are not fine!! What part of this you don't get?!... You don't like being wrong do you?"
Complete silence.
"That's it isn't it? Ever since I reported the bit this you and voice my concerns, you just shook it off. When the children started getting violent, you ignored it . And when they started craving meat and started to chew on their own skin, all you did was give them meat from a dead rabbit! You all did throughout this was dance around the problem that is staring right in the face."
"Shut up..."
"All because your prideful ass can't not except the fact that a pegasus is right and you are wrong!"
"SHUT UP!" He shouted as her grab an object on the table to quickly turn around to face Chemicals.
Spike slowly put the last book onto the shelves. He slip it in the empty slot with pride for a job well done. Ever since Twilight left to help Fluttershy whatever was going on at her house. He struggled to put all the heavily books away all by himself, but he was able to do with hard work. He stepped down the ladder, once near the ground he jumped down and landed perfectly. He proudly walked away from the book case whipping his hand.

Twilight slammed the door open, causing Spike to walk back into the shelve and knocked over some books down and onto his head. Spike removed a poorly written book about a mare falling in love with a vampire as he watch Twilight walk by him. "Hey Twilight." Spike said getting up off the ground. "What was going on at Fluttershy's house?"
"Spike, I need you to write a letter to Princess Celestia." Twilight said, pulling out a large, burnt book and a flower out of her saddle bag and place it onto the table. "I need to ask her if she knows what a curtain creature is."
"Okay..." Spike said pulling out his materials he need and ready himself to write down every word Twilight said.
"Dear Princess Celestia. Early this morning, Fluttershy have found an pony like creature that is black, has an third rainbow eye under its horn, no mouth, and wares a top hat and a cape." Spike looked at her quit oddly but continue writing. "If you know anything about this creature I described, please send any information that you have. Your faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle."
Without a word, Spike rolled up the letter, took a deep breath and blew out a green fire that burn the letter and dance out of the window. Twilight sat down on a chair in front of the table as Spike walk up to her. "If you don't mine me asking again, what happen at Fluttershy's place?"
"Well like I said, she found an unknown creature with a high intelligent that came out the Everfree forest. She brought it to hers house because he was hurt. But he destroyed her house because she gave him one of Pinkie's cupcake."
"Well no wonder, those cupcake are castle full of sug-"
{*POOF!*}
A scroll popped into existence along with two folders. The floated onto the table with grace in front of Twilight. Spike looked at the three objects on the table. "Well that was fast."
"Too fast..." Twilight said with a worrisome face as she picked up the scroll. She picked off the fancy stamp of a detailed sun and moon on it as well of the red ribbon wrapped around the scroll. She rolled out the scroll and read the message on it.
Twilight
Not let Puppeteer out of your sight. He's not dangerous in any shape or form. Me, Luna and Cadence are coming to collect him and bring him back to the castle. I know you have a lot of questions so Cadence add some government folders to answer most of them. We'll answer any questions you still have as possible as we can.
Twilight looked at the letter, stared at it for a couple of moments before handing it to Spike. Spike read the letter and looked up to the purple Alicorn. "Shouldn't we go looking of this Puppeteer?"
Twilight shook her head. "He's at the school right now with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. I think they can handle it. Right now, I want answers." And with that she looked down at the two dirty folders.
One of the folders was labeled as Nuclear Color and the other was faced down so she doesn't know what the title. So she decided to open the Nuclear Color first and open the folder. Dust flew out of the folder and into Twilight's lungs. She heavily coughed and whipping away the dust away her face, Spike did as well. These are old folders. Twilight thought as she check the date of the folder. The date states that the two folders must be at least ten years old if looking to the dirty thing didn't tell you that. Twilight thought for a moment, why did Cadence had these folders on her and how was she able to get them so fast? Ignoring the thought for now she forces on the papers in the folder.
Twilight was captivated from the contents of the folder. It told her about a chemical she never heard before and how that it was discovered by complete attendant. It told her the many hours of testing and the mysteries it brought up. It told her the that the chemical gave to ponies that improved their magical, strength, and flying abilities. It also told her that the study of the chemical was cancel all of a sudden. She looked at the page numbers and she saw some of the pages were pulled out. She went through the pages again and again to make sure she didn't skip anything.
She decided to close the folder that she have, put it to the side and go to the next one in hopes to find the missing information. She slide the second folder towards her, dust flying out like the last time. She coughed as she turn the folder upwards. As she did she froze, eyes widen. She felt herself sweating and slightly shaking at the title of the folder. She didn't know quit way thought, her only thought was that Celestia didn't tell her anything about this at all and the feeling of being lied to. Spike looked at Twilight in worry and putting his hands on her shoulder. "What's wrong Twi?"
All she could do was to point to the title. Spike looked down at the title and fallowed Twilight's reaction. Both of them start at the three lettered, shocking title of the folder...
