Princess Luna has seen many types of dreams in her long life as a alicorn, but this is one of the strangest she has seen so far. It looked like a giant bubble filled with more bubbles tiny bubbles inside.
However, their was no way she was not going to check inside especially since it was causing the dreams nearby to become nightmares.
After that she dived into the dream sphere.
When she entered the dream she was hit by the smell of war. More precisely the smoke from a burning village far below her.
She realized that this could be the source of the problem she cloaked herself and flew down towards the village.

Hmm I wonder what is the cause of this? we only see things like this in a pony that knows of war. Thought, Luna before she heard the sound of fighting. Seeing this as a guide she went towards it.
At the ground she saw something she had not expected.
Foals fighting goblins
and she knew that it was not the fighting when one has no choice. But, the fighting of those with experience.
The foals stood on their hind legs, wearing simple clothes and were using anything sharp as weapons. Which ranged from pitchforks, axes to the goblins own weapons.
Despite the bloody fight Luna found the colts to be very brave. Not to mention the fillies in the center cheering for them is keeping them fighting.
(Luna thoughts: I wonder why whenever mares chair for a stallion they keep going. Is it something instinctual?)
It was then l Luna noticed a goblin with what looked like bombs. At first she thought it was aiming at the colts fighting but when she thought it through she relished it was aiming at the cheering fillies.
No!!! Thought Luna as she tried throwing herself in front of the bomb.
She was to slow as the bomb landed in the group of fillies cutting their cheering.
Boom!!!!

The quiet that came next from the colts was eerie to Luna. Even the once aggressive goblins had become weary. The ones with shields had them ready. The one that had thrown the bomb was getting ready to throw another one when the salience was broken.
Crack!! The goblins helmet got smashed in by a thrown hammer.
Raaaaarrrrggh!!!! Before Luna realized what they were doing they charged the goblins.
They showed no mercy. The goblins despite having the numbers advantage were being pushed back. She also noticed that as they went further from the village she noticed that there were not just ponies but other races as well. She say diamond dogs, griffins, zebras, a few minators and even changelings and from the piles of dead goblins they had formed a line.
Luna then realized what happened. They had formed a line to stop the goblins, but there were to many to stop. The goblins had simple overran them.
Then in the distance on a hill Luna saw what looked like a group of catapults. Quick to fly over she saw six of them with unicorns filling them with red and blue spheres. They unlike the others wore ether red or blue robes. As she walked around the area she saw something that brought back some memories. Their leading the group was a colt that looked like her old friend Starswirl. He had the everything except for the beard.
Watching them load the catapults she also saw saw 8 minotors, 5 earth ponies,10 griffins and six changelings. The minitors were covered head to toe in armor. Some had a large axe with a shield on their back or had a bit smaller axe in one hand with the shield in the other. The griffins armor was thinner and did not cover their wings. For their weapons they carried large metal pikes with a short griffin style double sided blade. ( Luna remembered when fighting griffin with those blades it best to be out of their swing range. That's because the could take off multiple limbs when being swung back and forth. Even the rookies got kills with those blades.) The changelings only had on a fur belt with simple shirt and pants. For their weapons they had a large quiver of arrows, a bow and a black chitin sword. The earth ponies had armor covering their chest, head and fore-legs with Chain mail connecting them. They all had a shield and a large clamor style blade.(No doubt to kill the enemy in the first swing. If not to split their shield or break their weapon.) Looking back to the catapults she saw that the robed unicorns had finished loading it and were preparing a variety of combat spells. The red had more fire spell. Whiles the blue had more ice spells. She had to emit using the robes to store the spells was very smart. It made her wonder if she could do that with her regalia. It would mean she could look normal and be ready for battle at the same Time! They then went to the edge of the hill and started to get ready for a fight.
The minators were at the front followed by the griffins and ponies with the wizards at the back. She made note that star swirl was at the front with the minators. Tartarus some of the minators look relived.
Luna releasing that this group on the left side of the goblins, looked to see were others were. And on the right side of the goblins she saw another group.
They had 5 mortars at the back. There was only 4 wizards in this group two red and two blue. There were only 2 minators. But there were 10 griffin pikemen and another 10 crystal pegisi. There were two groups of four zebra medics and finally there were the 8 diamond dogs. They were covered in thick plate armor and had a large one handed axe and shield. The only thing she rely saw was the tiny beard that came out of the bottom of the helmet. Finding the leader of this force. She saw a orange coated crystal Pegasus with a red mane. He had on paladin style armor and carried only a spiked mace. They then moved to the hill like the other group got ready to charge. Only the ponies managing the mortars stayed.
Taking a look at the goblins she saw that more had come and they were closing in on the colt in the center. The constant fighting had left the tired and they were slowing down. Luna the saw what could only be Orc force it's way to the colts fighting. Were many would falter the colts instead charged it. The colt as small as they were weren't fools. They knew that they couldn't kill it so instead were going to do whatever they could to injure it. The fight didn't last long. Some had be killed by its giant clever or axe. The others died by being crushed when they were too closes for its weapons. One was lucky when throwing a pitch fork. The tool had managed to get into the knee meaning it would have a harder time moving fast.
It was as they started cheer that the mortars were fired. One mortar was aimed directly at the orc. The shot had hit it square in the chest. The other four hid random groups of goblins. Next were the catapults which lunched dozens of red and blue spheres. There were explosions of fire and ice among the goblins. Luna saw that some had severe burns while other had signs of frost bite.
Once the barrage was done the children did something that they shouldn't be able to do right.
They let loose a roar. It was not the roar that children make, but one that would make any army hesitate. (Except for her sisters royal guard. They would flee before the fight even started). After that the charged down the hills with weapons ready.
As they neared the wizards started to releases their spells causing more havoc to the goblins even a Orc or two fell to the bolts of fire and ice.
To the goblins credit the did manage to regroup be for the collision, but that didn't help them. The diamond dog and Minotaur smashed through their lines with such force that some goblins were sent flying into the air. The pike-wielders had run though anything in front of them. The earth ponies withe the giant clever blades were simply put hacking into the goblins. With every swing ether a shield broke or a goblin lost a chunk of flesh.
Taking a look from the main fronts Luna focused onto the paladin. Unlike paladins in equestria who heal and never harm this one was going nuts on them. He was using his wings for speed and when he got close he would use the mace. He then headed toward four goblins closes to him. One raised it shield to stop the mace. The shield was shattered and the goblin was sent back with a broken limb. Quick to move he grabbed it by the limb and struck it twice with the mace. He then moved at the other three. Ducking under a swing he swung up with his mace making the axe fall. He then proceeded to us the fallen axe to kill the goblin. Getting from that on he imbedded the axe in the third ones head. Then before the fourth could run he swung the mace with enough force the the goblins head was removed.
Star swirl was slinging spell in all directions. The spell ranged from fire to lightning.
Luna couldn't help but wince when a Orc was hit by a ice spell in between the legs.
