Jeremy Fitzgerald's life in Equestria

You awake with Rainbow snoozing next to you. You smile and pull her closer with one wing. She opens her rose-colored eyes and smiles.

“Morning, Rainbow.” You say, thinking of a serious question. “Rainbow, I love you… But why do you love me? I am just a no-pony stallion…Nopony could love me- ” She cuts you off there.

“Who told you that?!” She demands.

“My own family… I was abused as a foal.” You reply, but you are honest, well would be if you said ‘child’ instead of foal.

“Oh my gosh… I am so sorry that happened to you. But you are safe with me. Trust me, Jeremy.” She replies, before continuing. “And I love you because you are so sweet inside. I’ve yet to meet a colt with such a soft heart. Jeremy, I could tell you need love, or you will die eventually. I love you for who you are, Jeremy.” She places a hoof on yours, and kisses you tenderly. You kiss back, and she begins to stroke your mane.

You wince as she goes over the stitches just under your mane. She breaks the kiss looking at you in concern.

“Jeremy, were those… Stitches?” She asks, and you nod.

“When I was a foal, a horrible accident happened. I lost a huge chunk of my brain, the frontal lobe. I had to get a false frontal lobe. It was all because of my brother, and his friends.” Rainbow is staring at you, trying to process what you’ve said.

"Oh Celestia... Why does all of the bad things happen to you?" She asks, genuine concern in her voice. You Shrug.

"So, lets change to a lighter topic. Did you hear of the party DJ Pon3 is throwing?" You ask, not wanting to talk about the bite of '87. "I was thinking, That could be our third date."

It is evening and you and Rainbow arrive at the party. The DJ Walked up to you two, mainly to greet Rainbow, but noticed you as well.

"Hey, Jeremy. Last time I saw you was last month, when you volunteered for the clean-up crew. How's it hanging, dude?" She greets you as well.

"Well, Rainbow here is now my mare-friend. This is our third date." You turn to Rainbow and nuzzle her.

"Hey, hey, hey. Congrats you two!" DJ Pon3 congratulates you. "I am gonna so play a song for you two!" With that she trots off to the DJ both. She taps on the microphone. "Hey, hey everypony! DJ Pon3 here! And we got a new couple here tonight, and this is there third date! Please welcome... Jeremy Fitzgerald and Rainbow Dash to the dance floor!" You both get on the dance floor, and most of the crowd cheers, the rest already drunk out of their minds. A song began to play.

You and Rainbow begin to dance, albeit very awkwardly looking to you, an ex-human. But to the ponies, it was actually a really good dance judging by how the crowd reacted.

The music stopped mid-song, however, as two male pegasi landed on the dance floor. You look at Rainbow and see she is worried about them.

"Who are these stallions?" You ask her.

"Hoops and Dumbbell... I went to flight school with them... They still pick on me." She replies, her voice shaky. You know you are going to have none of that. They walk up to you.

"Back off, you two." You growl at them. They ignore you and walk up to Rainbow.

"Hey, Rainbow Crash, who's the stallion, your colt-friend?" The one you assume is dumbbell asks her, and Rainbow looks down.

"Yes, I am. Now. Leave. Her. Alone. She told me about you." The other one, Hoops turns towards you. They are much bigger stallions then you are, but you aren't gonna let them pick on your mare-friend.

"Or what, Pipsqueak?" He asks, and Dumbbell walks to you as well.

"Lets teach this shrimp a lesson about messing with us." Dumbbell said to Hoops. "You keep Rainbow Crash and anypony else from intervening with this while I handle him." Your eyes go wide. You have never been in a fight before. Hoops holds back Rainbow.

"Don't! He's been through a lot!" She screams, but to no avail. Dumbbell punches you in the snout, and you are bleeding. You are instantly dazed.

"Finish him!" Hoops yells. Dumbbell knocks you to the ground, and begins to kick you while you are down. Literary.

"S-stop..." You groan. Dumbbell looks at the backing off crowd.

"He's still talking! Let's fix that!" He gets ready to bring a hoof down on your head.

Suddenly, Dumbbell is tackled, and so is Hoops. You look to see your savior, and see it is your old boss and the Head of security, Scott. Rainbow runs over to you and holds you closely. You don't think anything is broken, so you get to your hooves.

You and Rainbow decide it is time to go home for the night.
