The Alicorn Mystery

All is well here in Ponyville.

Not a single bird is chirping.

Not a single pony is awake.

All but one, that is.

Melodyfinn  is anything but asleep. She can't even close her eyes for five measly seconds.

"Eargh! I can't handle this!" Melodyfinn pushed off her bedsheet. "Maybe a little walk would suffice..."

Slowly trotting towards the door, she attempted to straighten her mane, but caused it to ruffle up even further.

Not bothering to fix it anymore, Melodyfinn glanced out the dense window. Not seeing anything, she cantered off into the Everfree Forest, a trail of dust left in her wake.

Wondering why she even went out here in the first place, Melodyfinn scanned her surroundings.

In the corner of her eyes, she spotted movement in the trees above. Observing more carefully, Melodyfinn sneaked up on her poor victim.

With her back facing a rock, surely she couldn't be surprised.

Slowly creeping up on it, she breathed in.

...

Only to be jumped on.

"MWHAHAHA-A-A-A!" A manic cry of laughter seeped up from behind where she thought was a rock.

Turning around, Melodyfinn found the worst nightmare of her life.

"Oh God." She said, mouth gaping.
