An Old Threat and a New Hope (Part 1)
Note: Chapter takes place between seasons 5 and 6 of MLP
In a dark grey mountain area, a great battle was about to commence. Over 200 warriors had gathered, all of them bearing a bipedal appearance and all of them wore brightly colored uniforms. At the front of the army of warriors were group of oddly shaped warriors wearing pirate themed uniforms.
The one in red had a long tail and and a long muzzle and several spines running down his body.
The one in blue was very muscular and had horns sprouting from his head like a bull.
The one in green had somewhat short arms and what looked like paws for hands.
The one in yellow appeared to be bird like in appearance and had feathery wings coming out of her back.
The pink one, was the most curious. She had claw feet on her front legs and hooves on her back legs and what looked like leathery wings on her back.
The one in silver had a similar appearance to the red one, except he had leathery wings similar to the pink one.
The final aqua colored one, had a slender appearance and had light blue leathery wings sprouting from her back as well.
Suddenly, an army of robotic like creatures suddenly formed several yards away from the warriors. Both sides took battle ready stances and charged at each other. As the clash began, the heroes appeared to have the upper hand thanks to the weapons they carried and their special fighting techniques. The team leading the charge fought vigorously as they plowed through robot after robot. The team then got out a giant cannon that was shaped like a pirate ship and they began charging it until it finally fired, causing a fantastic explosion.
Spike blinked awake as the strange dream ended. Yawning and rubbing his eyes, he mumbled to himself. "That dream again.... that's fifth time I had it this week. What does it mean and who were those warriors and army of creatures?" He asked himself as he hopped off his bed. As he stretched, he heard Twilight call. "Spike! Are you up yet? Your going to be late for school and your friends are here to walk with you!"
Hearing this immediately perked Spike up and he quickly straightened himself, grabbed his necklace which was red in color and looked like a ball of flame, and quickly ran to the front door of the castle.
As he exited the castle, he greeted his three friends. "Morning! You guys are here early. Is it a breakfast rush or something? He joked.
The first one, a young male blue colored Minotaur about Spike's height chuckled a little. "Well we had to make sure you weren't sleeping in again because we rather keep you from getting another lecture about accidentally sleeping in class from staying up too late." He joked back. Spike rolled his eyes. "Very funny Bram, very funny." He stated sarcastically.
"Well I thought it was good one." The griffin joked back. "Not you too Aeris." Spike said back. Aeris was a young female griffon who would be about Scootaloo's height except she was capable of flying unlike the young filly. She also had yellow highlights in the feathers on top of her head. She was the most boisterous of the group and a bit headstrong as well, but had a kind heart under the all that toughness.
"Well, I for one suggest we get going, or we're all gonna be getting an hour long lecture for being late." The diamond dog stated. "Yeah, Rover's right, and I'd avoid another lecture too." Spike agreed with his friend. Rover was probably one of the smartest diamond dogs his friend's had ever met. He was young German Shepherd and wore a green sipper vest. He rose to about Bram's height, but unlike an average diamond dog, had shorter arms that weren't well suited for digging. He was very brainy, an inventor, and liked using big words, but didn't brag about it and wore a pair of green square glasses.
"Hey Spike, one more thing. Me and the girls are gonna be away in Fillydelphia for a few days and since Starlight's coming with us, I need somepony to help run the library in the castle. You wouldn't mind would you?" Twilight asked politely. Spike shrugged in response. "Considering I live here, I don't I would have much choice." He stated sarcastically. "We'll help too. We shouldn't have Spike be bored to death by himself." Aeris jokingly stated, getting a playful shove from Spike. The other two nodded in agreement with the laughter joining soon after.
Twilight roller her eyes a little at them. Hopefully the library will still be in one piece when they get back. "We better get going or we're toast!" Bram exclaimed before running off in the direction of the school. "Wait for us!" Rover shouted chasing after him. "Bram worries too much." Aeris stated as she flew ahead. "Aren't you forgetting somepony!?" Spike shouted as he joined the chase. Twilight smiled as they as she watched run off.
A week after Twilight and her friends defeated Tirek and gained the crystal castle, with permission from the princesses and the townsfolk of Ponyville, she opened Ponyville up for immigrants from other kingdoms, which included the diamond dog, griffon, and Minotaur races. It was mostly those three races that came to live Ponyville. Only three families from these races had children that attended school there, who were Bram, Aeris, and Rover respectively.
As if by fate, Spike started attending school the same day they started. Other than the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Spike had no other friends his age, it didn't help that he was a dragon in pony school either. Bram, Aeris, and Rover were also the only one's of their respective species to be attending pony school and the four became instant friends a few minutes after meeting each other. They became a group of four misfits who didn't know how to fit in, but were still good friends wit the CMC.
The other three caught with Bram, who had finally calmed down and started walking again. As the other three chatted away a little ahead of him, Spike had a particular thing on his mind, which was trying to decipher what dream he had been getting lately meant. Rover was the first notice Spike trailing behind a little with a thoughtful look on his face. "Hey guys.... I think something's bothering Spike." He stated in a concerned voice.
The other two looked back Spike after hearing this and grew concerned as well. They slowed down their speed, allowing him to unknowingly catch up. "Uh.... dude? Are you okay? Your kinda spacing out there." Bram stated. Hearing this snapped Spike out of his thoughtful demeanor. "Uh... yeah! I'm perfectly fine!" He quickly stated with a sheepish smile. "Spike.... we've been friends long enough to know something is definitely bugging you, so out with it." Aeris bluntly stated. Spike sighed a little. "How about I tell you during recess because we just arrived." He stated pointing his finger at the school.
The others accepted this and they proceeded to school. Rover decided to bring up something Ms. Cheerilee asked him the day before. "Hey guys, there's a new girl who's gonna starting school in our class." Aeris raised her brow. "Where are you going with this?" She asked incredulously. "Well Ms. Cheerilee said she was a new species that will be the first to attend pony school. Sound familiar?" Rover stated.
"Really? A new race coming to attend school here? That sounds cool!" Bram said excitedly. "Ms. Cheerilee said her parents were worried that she won't have any friend's because of her appearance. Ms. Cheerilee asked me if I could asked a certain 'group' of kids to become friends with her." He punctuated his hint with a few winks. "I get it. Well, if she's as nervous as all of us were on our first day, we'll become great friends." Spike said with a confident smile.
"Yeah, and another girl in our group should even things out a little more so that I'm not outnumbered." Aeris stated jokingly. "Yeah, but she better not be like Aeris. One of you is already bad enough." He joked, betting a playful punch from Aeris. "So it's decided then?" Rover asked with a smile. They all shouted "YEAH!" in response and quickly ran into the school with the other students.
Once everypony was filed into the classroom, one certain new student stood hiding shyly behind the teachers desk. The four unique students took their seats in the back of the class room, with one notable empty seat next Aeris.
Once the class settled down, Cheerilee walked up next to her desk. "Morning everypony!" She greeted. "Morning Ms. Cheerilee!" The class greeted back. Cheerilee cleared her throat before continuing. "We have a new student joining us today, so I please ask all of you to be on your best behavior and treat her kindly." She stated sternly.
She then turned to her desk. "Alright dear, come out and introduce yourself." She said kindly to the small figure behind the desk. There was a small feminine gulping sound and the figure finally revealed her full form, getting quite a few wide eyed responses but luckily nopony seemed disgusted at her. Actually, a lot of the students seemed intrigued by her. "He..hello everypony, my name is Melody Heart, but you can call me 'Mel' for short." She nervously introduced herself.
Her appearance was quite curious. She had the basic shape of a pony, but she had claws on her front legs and regular pony hooves on her back legs. Instead of fur, she had scales like a dragon that were a sky blue in color and she had a slightly spiky pink mane and tail. She had the horn of a unicorn, but had bat like wings on her sides that had a pink membrane.
"Alright Mel, why don't you take a seat next to Aeris in the back?" Cheerilee suggested, pointing her hoof toward the empty seat in the back next to the female griffon. Mel nodded in response in proceeded to the back of the room. So took her seat next to the griffon girl and looked around at the other students that were sitting near her. One was a diamond dog who sitting in the right corner seat, another was Minotaur who was sitting in front of her, and to her surprise, a purple dragon with green eyes sat next her.
An hour later it was recess time and the students all quickly filed outside. Mel proceeded to sit under a nearby tree and looked through a photo album she made. "Hi there! It's Melody isn't it?" A female voice asked her, causing her look up. She saw group of students sat around her during class. "Uh... yeah, but call me Mel please." She asked politely. "Well it's nice to meet you Mel! The name's Aeris." The griffin introduced herself as she sat down on the ground.
"Hi there Mel! I'm Bram! Nice to meet you!" The Minotaur enthusiastically introduced himself, also plopping down.
"Good day! My name is Rover and it's very nice to meet you." The diamond dog politely introduced himself taking a seat.
"And last but certainly not least, I'm Spike the dragon!" The dragon stated with a proud smile on his face, getting an eye roll from the other three before sitting down himself. "It's very to meet you all...." Mel said nervously. "I take it since your the only one of your species to be attending pony school, your more nervous than Fluttershy when she meets a new pony?" Spike asked with a knowing look on his face.
Mel had no idea who Fluttershy was but she still nodded. "Well the four were the same way when we started coming here. "Bram explained. "So we know exactly how you feel." Rover continued for him. "Heck, I was scared out of my wits until I met these three knuckle heads." Aeris stated jokingly, gesturing to the other three, getting an involuntary 'Hey!' From all three. Seeing this caused Mel to giggle a little.
"So we were wondering, how would you like to be a part of our group of friends?" Bram asked. Mel's eyes widened in shock. "Re.. really!? But what we just met a few minutes ago!" Mel exclaimed rapidly. Rover put a comforting paw on her shoulder. "Believe me, being the new kid isn't exactly easy, especially someone with quite the unique appearance, so you'll need great buddies to get you through this." Rover laminated.
"So, what do ya say?" Aeris asked with hopeful eyes. Mel looked at each of them and realized they probably weren't going take no for an answer. She nodded her head softly before getting a hardy slap on the back from the griffin. "Awesome! Welcome to the crew!" Though the slap hurt her a little, it was a good kinda of hurt. "So, if you don't mind me asking, what are you exactly? I've never seen anything like you before." Spike noted. "Oh well, uh.... I don't mind, I'm what's called a kirin. I'm basically a hybrid of two creatures." Mel explained.
"Really? What two creatures?" Aeris asked herself. Mel gulped a little before saying. "Do you promise not to freak out if I tell you?" Aeris rolled eyes. "Please, I don't freak out." She stated arrogantly as she took a long drink of her orange juice. Mel gulped again before saying. "My mother is a unicorn pony and my father is a.... dragon." She informed reluctantly. Aeris's eyes widened and did a spit take right at Rover, getting a slight glare from him. "Next time, aim in the other direction." He calmly stated, earning a nervous chuckle from Aeris.
"Well I guess that explains the bat like wings and unicorn horn, as well as the scales." Bram noted as if unaffected by the revelation. "So a dragon for a father huh? What's he like?" Spike asked quietly. "Well I love him of course and he is very kind and has a bit of a sense of humor. His name is Blue because of his scales." She smiled softly as she talked about her father. "My mother's name is Sky Blue, due to the color of her coat which is colored like the blue sky above us and her mane is pink. She's a really great musician too." Mel stated with a smile.
Bram noticed the album sitting there on the ground next to her. "What's that?" He asked. "Oh, this is a photo album I keep the pictures I take in." She answered nervously. "Your into photography?" Rover asked with curious eyes. "Yeah... I mostly take pictures of different aspects of nature, like animals and fauna." Aeris picked up the album and flipped through it. "These aren't bad at all! You have a real talent for this!" She praised excitedly much Mel's blushing
Rover than looked over to Spike and remembered their conversation from before school earlier. "I hate to stray off topic, but I think Spike should tell us what's been bugging him lately. Don't you two agree?" He gestured for the other two. "Don't forget Mel Rover." Bram quickly stated. "If she wants to that is." Bram said as he looked toward the Kirin in front of him. "I don't mind, I'd like to help my new friends in any way I can." She with a bit more confidence then there was before.
Spike sighed see they were all ready to listen to what was currently wrong with him. "Well... I've been getting this strange dream these past five nights." He started. "Well, what happens in the dream?" Bram eagerly asked. "In my dream, there's an army of 200 warriors all gathered together, they resembled those humans that Lyra Heartstrings tends to rant about, except they were all wearing brightly colored uniforms. Anyway, at the front of the army, there this one group of seven heroes who were oddly shaped."
Spike then described what hero looked like and what color they were wearing before continuing. "Near the end of the dream, a giant army of robotic like creatures materializes a few yards from the army and both groups took fighting poses before charging at each other, the team I mentioned earlier leading the charge. There's an epic clash and the army of heroes appear to be winning. The team leading the charge then bring out a cannon shaped like a pirate ship and they all stand together and fire the weapon, and that's usually where the dream ends." Spike finally finished.
He looked around his small audience who sitting there dumbstruck. "Wow... that must have been some... dream." Aeris stated still a little dumbstruck. Rover shook his head and composed himself. "How many times did you say you had this dream exactly?" He asked with his curiosity booming. "About five times in a row this week. It's seriously strange and I know it see sounds crazy, but the dreamed seems so real." Spike laminated, returning to his thoughtful poise.
"Have you tried talking to Twilight or her friends about it?" Bram asked. Spike shook his head in response. "Alright everypony! recess is over! Time to get back to class!" They all heard Ms. Cheerilee shout much to the annoyed groans of some of the students.
"Let's save that conversation for later, we got to get to class." Aeris pointed out and the five friends proceeded inside the school, completely unaware the danger that was looming high above Equis.
Several hundred fleet ships were hovering over Equis, all headed by the current head general Vildrax. "What do you think sir?" A rebuilt robotic body guard by the name Argus asked him as they worked the controls. "I say now is a good time to test our new fleet on this backwater planet and test our new might." He stated boldly. One of his resurrected high ranking generals, Damaras walked up to him.
"Sir, are you this is the best planet to conquer with our small fleet?" He questioned incredously when another general Levina walked up next to him. "Damaras, in case you've forgotten, this is probably most backwater planet in this dimension, we could conquer them in a day." She boasted. Damaras scoffed at this. "Remember what happened last time we underestimated a backwater planet? Almost our entire fleet was destroyed by those Power Rangers and I don't intend to have the same mistake happen twice!" He angrily proclaimed.
"Calm down! Both of you! I will not have this insolence! We are going to conquer this pathetic and go back to our dimension and resume our campaign! Got it?!" He punctuated his by slamming his fist down. "Ready the fleet! We are invading this planet today!"
In a nearby mountain, quite a long way from Ponyville, lied a strange command center that looked like a jagged meteor on the outside. Inside the command center was a room with five pedestal that were each a different color. On the walls on both sides of the command center, lied display cases filled with small figures that looked oddly human shaped.
"Oh aye-yi-yi! Gosei! Gosei! Where are you!?" A robot by the name of Alpha 5 came running into the chamber calling for someone named Gosei. "I'm right here Alpha." A wise sounding voice stated before the room lit up, revealing the full form of a tiki head on the center wall of the command center. "I trust that you have felt the disturbance of the Armada as well?" He questioned correctly.
"Oh yes! The Armada is planning to invade this world with their strength restored and will go back to our dimension once the job is finished!" He guessed in horror. "I'm afraid so, not only will our dimension be in peril again, but the inhabitants of this world will be in danger as well. I think you know what we must do." He said in a forbording tone. "You mean-" Alpha started before being interrupted.
"Correct, and I know five perfect candidates who will be able to do the job."
The group of five friends were currently in the woods as part of a homework assignment, which involved taking pictures of nature. With an ace photographer like Mel, they were sure to to get a good grade. "Alright guys, I suggest we split up into three teams in order to cover more ground, me and Bram on team 1, Aeris and Rover on team 2, and Mel, are you okay with being by yourself on team 3?" He asked hoping it didn't offend her.
"I don't mind. Besides, the animals tend to stay in place when it isn't noisy." She joked softly, receiving a few giggles from the other four. And with that, the three teams set off for their to complete assignment.
At one point, Spike and Bram's path was blocked by a giant fallen tree. "That's just great. It must have fell down from the thunderstorm last night." Spike guessed. "I got this." Bram said confidently and proceeded toward the fallen log. Putting both hands under it, he lift it up with ease. "How is it that I'm not used to that by now?" Spike said a little dumbfounded.
Suddenly, Spike and Bram were both enveloped in red and blue lights respectively, causing the tree that Bram picked up to fall to the ground.
Aeris and Rover were currently traversing some rocky terrain with a visibly tired Rover lagging behind. "By... by my estimates... we should find... a good spot to... photograph the... scenery... around here..." He tiredly stated, panting all the way. "Aren't you tired Aeris?" He asked as she continued to walk through the rocky terrain unhindered. "Are you kidding? Some rough terrain isn't enough to drag me down!" She boldly stated.
Rover was about respond, but they were both suddenly pulled into green and yellow lights respectively.
Mel smiled softly as she watched a beautiful monarch butterfly fly around and land on a pink flower and began suckling on the nectar. Reaching for her camera, she slowly approached the butterfly and zoomed in on it using the camera lens. Seizing the perfect moment, a picture was snapped and the butterfly flew away. "Gotcha." Mel mumbled proudly before scanning through the photos until she found the picture she was looking for.
Admiring it at first, she caught something in the picture she didn't notice until she got a better looked at it. In the background, something was hiding in the bushes several yards away from where she took the picture. Double checking to make sure that she wasn't seeing things, the creature in the picture appeared to resemble an alien of some sort.
Before she could ponder this further, she a very threatening voice several yards away. Getting closer to where she heard the voice a little reluctantly, Mel caught sight of the same creature from her photo. Keeping quiet so he wouldn't hear her, she heard him grumble. "The pathetic creatures of this planet will be no match for the might of the Armada! So why does Vildrax bother sending me down here? This is the most backwater planet we've ever set foot on since Earth, there's no way they would have the means to fight back!" He was practically shouting by the end.
Mel made an attempt to sneak away, but was suddenly caught in a pink light and taken somewhere else.
Four of the five friends fell onto a pile on the ground of a dimly lit cave. "Ow! Get off me!" Spike shouted, having been caught at the bottom of the pile. After the four untangled themselves, they got up before realizing where they were. "Where are we?" Aeris asked as she felt around the darkness. "Whatever that was, it was scientifically impossible, if only I had a flashlight..." Rover stated before the lights suddenly came on in the cave, startling all four of them.
"This is impressive!" Bram stated as he explored the strange room with the five pedestals. What caught Spike's interest was the figures lining the wall. His eyes widened when he got a closer look at them. "Guys.... these... these figures, they look exactly the warriors in my dream!" He exclaimed to their shocked. Before anyone could respond to this revelation, the room lit up some more to reveal a giant tiki head mounted on the center wall.
"Welcome young ones." The tiki head suddenly started talking. "Freaky tiki!" Bram exclaimed. Aeris approached the tiki head. "Who are you and what are you?" She with a raised brow. "I am Gosei. I am a guardian trained by my mentor Zordon to protect the planet known as Earth in my dimension." The tiki head informed. A robot came walking in as he finished. "And this is my assistant Alpha 5."
"Greetings! It is very nice to meet your acquaintance." Alpha greeted happily. "It's nice to meet you too, but why are we here?" Spike asked in suspicious tone. Gosei made a sound that sounded like he was clearing his throat. "I've brought you here because your world is in danger and you are the only one's capable of protecting it." He stated to the children's shock.
"Pro...protect it? From what?" Rover asked nervously.
"From the Armada legion. The Armada are an army of aliens bent on controlling galaxies and destroying any planet in their way." Right before had Gosei explained this, unbeknownst to the four, Mel materialized from the pink light that carried her there. "Okay, this is gotta be some ridiculous prank, I mean an alien armada bent on destroying planets sounds like something from a cheesy Sci-Fi movie." Aeris rudely dismissed.
"It's not a prank guys, it's real." They heard a familiar voice state. They turned around and found Mel lying on the floor attempting to get up from her weird trip.
"Mel? Your mixed up in this too?" Bram asked as he helped her up. "Yeah, I am apparently. Here, take a look at this picture I took before that light brought me here." She then pulled up her camera and showed them the picture with the alien in the background.
"This...this can't be real!" Bram exclaimed in disbelief. "I'm afraid Bram, this is all too real. Although they are significantly weaker from their attempted invasion of Earth, they are still a very powerful force to be reckon with." Gosei informed.
Spike walked up to him. "Gosei, do know you something about the figures lining walls here? I've been seeing the warriors they represent in my dreams for several nights now." Spike informed, wanting to get a straight answer. "The warriors you seen lining the walls on the left are past Power Rangers, warriors that defended planet Earth for a long time and your predecessors. The warriors you see on your right are what I recently discovered to be from a universe similar to Earth with similar warriors known as the Super Sentai." Gosei informed.
"As for your dreams, I suspect it is a foreshadowing of future events for the days to come. Now, approach the five pedestals before you." Gosei said beckoning to the different colored pedestals. They heeded his command and approached the pedestals, Spike at red, Bram at blue, Rover at green, Aeris at yellow, and Mel at pink.
Several images started appearing on each of the pedestals. "Bram, your amazing strength proves to be a valuable asset and your loyalty to your friends knows no bounds and your enthusiasm will brighten the darkest of days. You shall become the blue Super Megaforce Ranger." An image of a Minotaur in a blue pirate like outfit appeared on his screen. "I look awesome!" Bram shouted excitedly.
"Rover, your incredible intellect and creating mind will help make the world a better place for future generations. "You shall serve as second in command as the green ranger." An image of a diamond dog in a green pirate themed outfit appeared on Rover's screen. "This is unbelievable...." Rover muttered in awe.
"Aeris, your athletic abilities and quick thinking skills will prove a valuable asset to you and your comrades in the battles to come. You will become the yellow ranger." An image of a griffin in a yellow pirate themed outfit showed on screen. "I don't look half bad in yellow." Aeris commented as she looked at the image.
"Melody, your kindness and your love of nature are wonderful things to have when growing up. Your attention to detail when taking photos will prove valuable in the future. You shall become the pink ranger." An image of what looked like a kirin in pirate themed outfit screen. "Well, pink is my favorite color." She shyly commented as she watched the image.
"And Spike, your job as an assistant to a librarian as granted you vast knowledge of the world and leadership skills will give you and the team the courage to stand against any foe. You shall become the leader of this team of warriors, the red ranger." An image of a dragon in a pirate themed outfit appeared on the screen. Spike looked at the screen for a moment. "Gosei, you said the Armada was significantly weakened since their attempted invasion of this planet you called Earth. Was there a team before us?" He asked.
"That is correct, but that is a story for a another time." The being answered. "Okay, but we don't exactly know how to fight and I doubt any of us are physically fit to fight an entire armada." Spike sarcastically pointed out. A pillar suddenly rose in the middle of the room with a floating in the middle. "I anticipated that question, which is why I created this, the power orb." Gosei explained.
"Touching the orb will fill you with knowledge of every fighting technique known, it will also increase your mental and physical prowess, making you smarter and stronger. Not only that, but the entire history of both the Power Ranger teams and Super Sentai teams will fill your mind." Alpha explained. Spike had a conflicted look on his face. "I just don't know..." He muttered softly.
A sudden tremor shook the entire command center. "What's going on!?" Aeris exclaimed. "Aye-yi-yi! The Armada's beginning the invasion!" Several images of a familiar town showed up on the pedestals screens. "It appears they're attacking your hometown first." The image the showed the same monsters from Spike's dreams attacking the Ponyville. "Our friends and families!" Rover shouted in horror.
"The time has come to make your decision young ones." Gosei stated.
Watching the images of the townsfolk with worried expressions, the five friends looked to each other before nodding in agreement.
"We'll do it!" They shouted in unison. "A wise choice. Now, touch the orb and let the power to defend others and fight evil flow into you." Gosei stated in a wise voice. "This is so exciting!" Alpha said excitedly.
The five friends circled around the glowing orb. "Let's do it guys." Spike stated as they all touched the orb and power began coursing through each of them. The memories of different warriors from two different universes filled their minds as they grew in more power.
Finally the process was complete as the orb stopped glowing. "Wow! Now that was a rush!" Bram excitedly stated as threw several punches at the air, demonstrating his new moves. "I know what you mean! I feel like I could run a marathon!" Spike shouted exhilarating voice as he jogged in place. "And talk about a lot of history too!" Rover said trying to contain his excitement. "I'm feeling a bit more confident that we can do this." Mel stated in a calm voice. "Oh yeah! Let's go kick some alien butt!" Aeris stated proclaimed boldly.
The five once more approached Gosei. Five strange cellphone like items suddenly appeared in front of them, as well as five ranger keys with the same pirate themed ranger forms.
"These are your Morphers and ranger keys, these will give you the ability to transform into what you saw earlier. Now go, protect your world and wear the mantle of a Power Ranger proudly." Gosei stated knowingly. "We won't let you down Gosei!" Spike shouted proudly as they teleported back to Ponyville.
The townsfolk of Ponyville were scattered everywhere trying to escape the monstrous creatures that suddenly attacked with a tiger like one leading the attack. Commander Tiger Claw soon set his sights on the Cake family who were trapped in a back end alley.
The five young heroes teleported near the center of town, which mostly clear of regular ponies, which meant they could transform without worrying about they're identities. They saw several of the same bipedal robots attacking various buildings.
"They wrecking the place!" Bram exclaimed as they watched the robots destroy part of town hall. A civilian pony was cornered by some nearby, Rover was quick to respond and dashed over to the group. The robots noticed him coming and quickly attempted to attack him, Rover swiftly dodged and delivered a right hook into the one on the right and quickly grabbed the one on the left and threw it toward a group of them.
Rover helped the mare up. "Quick, get to safety!" He warned. The mare quickly thanked him and ran off toward the edge of town.
"What's going on out there!? Tiger Claw angrily asked as he ignored the Cakes and spotted the five children currently fighting off some of the X-Borgs. "Are these X-Borgs so useless that they can't take down mere children!?" He angrily stated. "We aren't ordinary kids you know!" Aeris stated bluntly. The five quickly gathered together again. "Guys, I thinks it's Morphing Time!" Spike shouted bringing out his morphers and ranger key. The others followed suit.
"Ready when you are!" Aeris shouted confidently.
"I'm ready when your ready." Mel said calmly.
"Let's do it!" Bram shouted excitedly.
"Let's show these guys we mean business!" Rover shouted.
"Ready!?" Spike asked holding his key up. The others held their keys up too. "Ready!"
With this command, they pressed a button on the sides of the keys, causing them to flip into a more key like shape. They opened they're morphers to their cell phone shaped before holding out the keys in a pose.
"Go Go Megaforce!"
Upon shouting in unison, they inserted the keys into the slots on their morphers and turned them, causing the top of the morphers to open in an X shape as brightly colored X's emerged from the morphers.
The red X covered Spike in a Pirate themed uniform, also growing in size in the process. The same process was the same with the others.
"Super Megaforce, Red!"
"Super Megaforce, Blue!"
"Super Megaforce, Yellow!"
"Super Megaforce, Green!"
"Super Megaforce, Pink!"
(Try to imagine what the characters look in the suits because of the different species.)
The light that had enveloped them faded, allowing their adversaries to see again. Tiger Claw's eyes widened in shock and horror. "Po-Power Rangers!? Here!?" He exclaimed in disbelief.
"This is Awesome!" Bram shouted excitedly.
"This feels incredible!" Aeris exclaimed in equal excitement.
"And we all grew taller and our voices are deeper too." Rover noted.
"I've never felt stronger than this." Mel said calmly.
"This is great! Let's see what these what powers can do!" Spike exclaimed with the others agreeing. Several citizens got out from their hiding places and took notice of the arrivals. "Who are they?" Scootaloo asked herself with the CMC members joining her.
"Red!"
"Blue!"
"Yellow!"
"Pink!"
"Green!"
"Power Rangers: Super Megaforce!" They shouted in unison before posing as a sudden explosion from behind them finished their entrance. "RRRGH! Think that scares me!? X-Borgs, attack!" Tiger Claw commanded, sending the robots known as X-Borgs charging at the heroes.
"Super Mega Blaster!" Spike shouted as he shot several of them. He and the others then brought out their sabers and blasters as well and charged.
Spike, with both a sword and a blaster, shot and sliced each X-Borg as well as his use his extended tail to trip several. He hopped from ruined building to building as he used his new powers to jump extra high. "WOO-HOO!!!!! These new powers rock!" Spike excitedly shouted as he hopped around cutting the X-Borgs down.
Aeris flew through the streets of Ponyville as she wielded her saber blaster and used her flying capabilities to her advantage as she mowed several X-Borgs. "Guys! I need more fire power!" She heard Rover shout. Aeris turned her head and saw Rover fighting the X-Borgs on a nearby construction site. "Rover, let's switch weapons! Take my blaster!" She shouted to the Diamond Dog before throwing said blaster in his direction.
"And you take my Saber!" Rover replied back as he threw his Saber toward his friend, catching the blaster in the process with Aeris catching his Saber. "Gotta have the right tools for the job!" Rover exclaimed as he jumped in the air, blasting X-Borgs along the way.
"You got that right!" Aeris shouted as she continued her own attack. "Saber Whip!" She shouted as black like whips appeared from her palms and attached to her sabers. She then started flailing them everywhere, taking out more X-Borgs.
"Bram! Let's switch too!" Mel shouted. "I'm alright with that!" Bram replied as he threw a large chunk debris at some nearby X-Borgs as well as dual-wielding his blasters. "Spike! Pass Mel my blaster!" Bram shouted to his friend throwing his blaster toward him. "On it! Dropkick!" Spike shouted as he kicked the blaster toward Mel on a nearby roof top. "And Bram can have my Saber!" Mel shouted as she tossed the saber toward Spike.
Spike again kicked the saber to Bram who caught from his position on another construction site. Bram back flipped off shouting. "Woo! These powers are wild!" He grabbed on a nearby wire that was connecting between some buildings and blasted the X-Borgs as he bounced up and down.
The five regrouped when the X-Borgs continued their assault. Rover growled in annoyance. "How many of these are there anyway?" He asked in a frustrated tone. "Rangers, it is time for you to use Legendary mode." They heard the voice of Gosei. "Gosei? What do you mean by Legendary mode?" Mel asked. "The figures that are here in the command center aren't ordinary figures. They are actually special keys that can be used to help transform into the ranger that respective represents." Gosei explained. "Legendary mode is hard to maintain however, and will consume a lot of your energy, so don't maintain it for long periods of time." Gosei warned.
"What do you guys think? I'm up for it!" Spike exclaimed excitedly.
Let's give it a try!" Rover suggested
"This is goin to be awesome!" Aeris stated with excitement in her voice.
"I'm up for it if you guys are." Mel said calmly.
"Let's rock their world!" Bram shouted. "But which team should we do first?" He asked. "This might sound cliche guys, but since this is our first mission as rangers, we should turn into the very first team of rangers." Aeris suggested. "The Mighty Morphing Power Rangers right? I'm down with that." Spike stated with the others agreeing. "Think of the ranger you want to turn into and tap the button on your belts to bring the figure to you." Gosei instructed.
"Let's do it guys!" Spike commanded. All five tapped the button on each of their belts, bringing out the Mighty Morphin keys. They all then shouted in unison.
"Legendary Ranger Mode! Mighty Morphin!" They then inserted the keys into their morphers and transformed, shouting. "It's Morphin Time!"
"Red Tyrannosaurus Ranger!"
"Blue Triceratops Ranger!"
"Yellow Saber Tooth Tiger Ranger!"
"Black Mastodon Ranger!"
"Pink Pterodactyl Ranger!"
"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" They shouted in unison. They all then took out that team members certain weapon charged at their enemies again. Spike wielded the Power Sword that belonged to Red Ranger as he sliced and diced his enemies. "Wow! Talk about powerful!" He exclaimed in amazement as he continued fightng.
"Power Axe!" Rover shouted as he unleashed brute force with the weapon of Black Ranger while Rover wielded the Power Lance of the Blue Ranger as he sidestepped several enemies at once. "Let's see what the Power Bow of the Pink Ranger can do." Mel said to herself as she aimed the weapon toward a group of X-Borgs and opened fire on them, leaving Aeris to finish off the rest with the Power Daggers of the Yellow Ranger.
"This rocks! Let's try another Legendary mode!" Rover suggested. "Let's go Mystic Force!" Mel stated excitedly with adrenaline filling her voice.
Tapping the buttons on their belts, they brought out Mystic Force keys and once flipped them into keys and opened their morphers.
"Legendary Ranger Mode, Mystic Force!" They inserted the keys into the morphers and while transforming, they shouted. "Magical Source, Mystic Force!"
With their backs turned to the enemy, they each turned around one by one shouting their colors, starting with Mel while flipping their capes.
"Pink Mystic Ranger!"
"Green Mystic Ranger!"
"Yellow Mystic Ranger!"
"Blue Mystic Ranger!"
"Red Mystic Ranger!"
Then while charging the respective element wands of the Mystic Rangers, they shouted. "Power Rangers Mystic Force!" They then unleashed a massive element charge from the wand like weapons of each element, including fire, water, lighting, wind, and earth, destroying several enemies at once. Tiger Claw decided to confront them directly.
"I think you brats are having an identity crisis!" He angrily shouted as he launched several missiles at them blow in them back. Spike sighed in annoyance as he got up. "Everyone's a critic, aren't they?" He stated sarcastically. They suddenly morphed back into their regular mode. "Gosei was right, Legendary mode is hard to maintain. But good thing the regular still rocks!" Bram shouted excitedly. They once brought out their Sabers and Blasters and all five charged the evil general.
They each attacked multiple times in succession with Tiger Claw becoming more winded from the fight. "This can't be happening!" He angrily stated as the heroes backed away several feet. "Oh its happening jerk!" Aeris stated boastfully. "We won't let you or the rest of the Armada take over our world!" Rover said with a smirk that was only visible in his helmet. "What do you guys say we finish this?" Spike asked with the others agreeing.
"Rangers, insert the keys into your Saber Locks and combine your attack." They heard Gosei explain. "You got it Gosei!" Spike stated. They then brought out their respective ranger keys and inserted them into the key slots on their sabers and turned them.
"Super Mega Sabers, Charging!" Their sabers then began pulsing the color of their respective owner. Mel admired the color of the Saber as it pulsed. Bram began winding it up like it was a baseball bat. Aeris spun it around her talons while Spike and Rover held theirs up high.
"Final Strike!" They all shouted as they swung their sabers all at once, shooting five different colored beams from Saber which quickly combined into one as it finally went full blast and and an a fantastic explosion, finally destroyed Tiger Claw for good.
"We... we did it... we actually did it!" Bram shouted excitedly. "That was awesome! Did you see the way we beat the tar out of that guy?" Aeris asked rhetorically. They suddenly heard beeping from their morphers and noticed it was a call from Alpha. Spike opened his up in a quick beat. "Something up Alpha?" He asked his new friend.
"Don't celebrate just yet rangers. The Armada is still continuing its invasion in a city called Fillydelphia." Alpha explained. "Fillydelphia? That's where Twilight and the girls are!" Spike exclaimed in horror. "Let's get going then!" Rover stated. "I hope whoever this 'Twilight' is, is alright." Mel said concerned. Before the the citizens could question them on who they were, they suddenly vanished in different colored bright lights.
An Old Threat and a New Hope (Part 2)
"I DEMAND TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED DOWN THERE!!!!!" Vildrax angrily demanded as he paced the main control room. Levira walked in holding a recorder like device. "The X-Borgs managed to capture an image before they were destroyed." Plugging the device into the main computer, an image of what looked their enemies the Power Rangers appeared on screen.
"Power Rangers in this dimension? This is troubling." Damaras stated. "They don't appear to be the same individuals from before however." Argus noted. "My guess is that they are inhabitants from this planet." Levina guessed right. "Which means they are amateurs compared to the one's who stopped the emperor and his family last time." Vildrax stated with a sinister smile. "Bring out another general!" He demanded.
A piranha like monster walked through the door, he had a humanoid appearance of a piranha and his lower was completely metal. "General Piranhatron ready and willing!" The fearsome general saluted. An image of a city appeared on the screen. "I want you to take a squad of X-Borgs down to that city and destroy every thing in your way! And if the Power Rangers attempt to stop you, crush them like the insignificant worms that they are!"
The city of Fillydelphia was in a state of destruction as X-Borgs swarmed the streets and the ponies and dragons that lived there scattered around trying to find safety. The Main 6 and Starlight Glimmer were busy evacuating the citizens off the main island, though Fluttershy was mostly helping the ponies due to her phobia of dragons.
"Okay, I think that's everypony and dragon that live in this district" Twilight as they regrouped. "Why are we just standing here then!? Let's take these guys down!" Rainbow boasted as she prepared to charge the nearby X-Borgs, only to be stopped by Applejack biting on her tail and pulling her back. "That's a bad idea Rainbow. These guys aren't anything like anything we ever faced before." Applejack warned sternly. "There's got to be a way to beat them isn't there Twilight?" Starlight asked her friend.
Before Twilight could respond, a sudden blast caught their attention and they turned and saw a piranha like monster destroying some buildings around the district. "HA HA HA!!!!!!! This planet will fall at the might of The Armada!" He boasted as he destroyed a another building. Before Rainbow could attempt to charge him, some X-Borgs were suddenly blasted interrupting the destruction.
"Hey fish-face! Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" A voice shouted. They all turned to find five different colored figures emerging from an alleyway. Piranhatron smirked upon seeing who it was. "You must be the Power Rangers I was warned about. Gotta say, you don't as intimidating as my superiors made you out to be." He boasted confidently. "You should have heeded that warning then! ATTACK!!!!" The one in red shouted as the five charged toward.
"Just who are those guys!?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. Twilight looked closely at the red one. "I think that one in red is a dragon." Twilight noted. "Dra....dragon!?" Fluttershy fearfully asked. "Now Fluttershy, that dragon appears to be a kind individual and has no intention on hurting us." Rarity attempted to comfort to no avail.
Piranhatron noticed the ponies standing nearby and hatched a devious idea. "X-Borgs, blast those creatures to oblivion!" He commanded. As the X-Borgs charged their blasters and aimed, the girls quickly jumped out of the way, except for Fluttershy who was to scared to move. "FIRE!" The charged energy blasted forward toward the terrified pegasus.
"Oh no you don't!" A voice shouted as a red blur blocked the energy shot before it could hit Fluttershy. Opening her eyes, Fluttershy saw the dragon she was afraid of holding a sword like weapon blocking the energy shot that was pulsing on the sword until he finally managed to deflect it into the sky where it could explode without harming anyone.
Spike turned to the stunned Fluttershy before asking. "You alright? Nothing broken?" She responded by jumping up and giving a big hug while saying thank you several times. Under his helmet, Spike blushed a little. "Your welcome." He turned to Twilight. "Now quick! You and your friends get somewhere safe and we'll take care of these losers!" Twilight quickly nodded. "Of... of course! Thank you!" She said before she and the girls quickly turned in the opposite direction of the fighting, much to the chargin of Rainbow Dash.
However, after turning the corner, Twilight suddenly stopped them. "Girls, I want to see how this fight carries out." Pinkie Pie suddenly got up in her face. "Are you coco in the loco!?" She asked with panic in her voice. "I think it might be a good idea to see what happened during the fight so we can find out what this "Armada's" plan is." Rainbow Dash suddenly piped up. Oh yeah! I'm going to get to kick some alien butt!" She shouted excitedly.
Twilight quickly shook her head. "No Rainbow Dash, I'm suggesting that we observe and watch without interfering." She stated firmly as Rainbow grumbled "Fine."
Meanwhile, the fight was still going as Rover fought on a nearby conveyor belt as X-Borgs swarmed him. "Rover! Take my blaster!" Spike shouted as he fought on a nearby train while dual wielding blasters. He then threw the blaster toward his friend as he was close to falling off. "Thanks Spike, and you can have my Saber!" Rover shouted as he tossed his weapon and caught the blaster. Spike caught said Saber and used both Saber and as he slashed and blasted his way off the train.
Rover soon started running down a nearby wall as he blasted the X-Borgs on the ground. Bram with his great strength, picked up a broken lamp post and swung it around as more X-Borgs started to gather. Aeris and Mel took to the sky's to face off against the air born X-Borgs. Both dual wielding sabers, slashed the X-Borgs down one by one as the fight continued. "Now that's what I call ta king out the trash!" Aeris shouted.
The five quickly regrouped. "Hey guys, why don't we try a Super Sentai team this time?" Spike suggested. They suddenly got a call from Alpha. "If your planning to do that, then there's something you should know first. The Super Sentai keys will only react to the calling phrase, Gokai Change." Alpha informed. "Thanks Alpha. Talk about a weird calling phrase." Aeris noted.
"Maybe because it's from a different dimension." Rover stated. "Whatever the case is, which Sentai team should we go with?" Mel asked. "How about Bioman?" Bram suggested to the others agreement. They then quickly brought the Bioman keys before posing in the usual manner. "Gokai Change!" They shouted and inserted the keys.
"Bioman!" A voice shouted as they transformed.
"Red 1!"
"Green 2!"
"Blue 3!"
"Yellow 4!"
"Pink 5!"
They each called out one by one before posing and announcing their numbers.
"One! Two! Three! Four! Five!" They shouted one by one as they before before shouting. "Choudenshi Sentai Bioman!" As a explosion set off behind them completing their entrance. Bringing out the Bio-Swords (and the Bio-Bow of Yellow 4) they quickly set about attacking the X-Borgs and Piranhatron as the Mane Six and Starlight watched from a nearby rooftop in silent amazement.
"Let's go Dynaman this time!" Aeris shouted bringing out the Dynaman keys with the other following suit.
"Gokai Change!" They shouted as they inserted the keys. "Dynaman!" A voice shouted as they transformed into baseball like uniforms.
They all quickly posed before announcing. "Explode! Kagaku Sentai Dynaman!" As a sudden explosion destroyed several X-Borgs. "Think they got the message yet?" Spike asked as they turned back to their foes. "You'll never stop the might of Piranhatron! How about a taste of missiles!?" Piranhatron angrily warned as he prepared his missiles launcher.
"I think that's a no." Mel commented. "What is it about the about bad guys that keeps them from realizing they've been beaten?" Aeris asked sarcastically. "Let's go SPD!" Bram shouted.
"Say goodbye!" Piranhatron shouted as he launched the missiles at them as they held out the SPD keys and inserted them into the morphs as they shouted "Legendary Ranger Mode, SPD! SPD Emergency!"
They quickly brought out the SPD blasters as they shouted. "Power Rangers SPD! Aim for the missiles and then at old fish head!" Spike commanded as they shot at the various missiles aimed at them. After shooting down the missiles, they aimed their blasters right Piranhatron and fired repeatedly until he was extremely dazed. "Let's finish this!" They they each brought out a red ranger key.
"Legendary Red Ranger Mode!" They as shouted as they inserted their keys one by one which caused Spike to turn into the red Mighty Morphin Ranger. "Wow! So we can all be red?" Bram exclaimed in amazement as he transformed into the red Lightspeed Rescue Ranger. "You got that right! Man this mode has some serious power!" Aeris exclaimed as she turned into the red Mystic Force Ranger.
"I can't wait to try other Legendary morphs!" Rover stated excitedly as he turned into the red Lost Galaxy Ranger. "What's the phrase? Oh yeah, let's turn this guy black and blue and red all over!" Mel uncharacteristically shouted as she turned into the red Space Ranger. They quickly made fighting poses. "You still have to destroy me first you little dimwits!" Piranhatron angrily exclaimed.
Bram and Aeris struck first, with Bram firing his blaster as Aeris used the fire wand and surrounded Piranhatron in a ball of fire. Mel and Rover jumped in and quickly layer several punches and kicks to the general. They jumped out of the way, allowing Spike to finish the job with the Power Sword with a few well placed slices. They turned their backs to the fallen general as he fell on the ground and exploded. "At least it took four teams to beat me!" Piranhatron shouted in his last moments.
Levira watched this defeat and scoffed. "Arrogant fool." She then picked up a gun like weapon from a console and aimed toward Equis. "This should help even the odds a little." Several cannons from the main ship then opened up and proceeded to blast a purple and pink beam toward the fallen general.
The Rangers stopped in their tracks when they heard a strange noise from behind them and turned to find their fallen foe back on his feet and grow large along with three troops known as bruisers. "HOW DO LIKE ME NOW!?" The giant general taunted as he destroyed a building. The five stared dumbfounded. "He.... he grew giant! That's cheating!" Bram shouted. "How are supposed to fight some thing that huge?" Spike asked himself before suddenly hearing Gosei's voice.
"Rangers, there will be many times where your enemies will grow to giant proportions. Use must utilize the power of the super Megazords. Spike, type in 5-5-0-1 on your morphed and summon the Skyship." He commanded.
"Right! Summoning Skyship!" Spike shouted as he typed the numbers down. They heard from the sky behind and turned around again to find a big red pirate ship flying through the sky.
"Wow! Talk about sweet ride!" Aeris shouted excitedly. The bottom of the Skyship opened as five ropes dangled from it and lowered themselves down, allowing the young heroes to grab on and lift them into the ship. The five quickly raced toward their respective vehicles (Though Spike had to go to the main cockpit of the ship itself.) And quickly inserted their ranger keys in the slots. "This is going to be awesome." Rover muttered oto himself as he examined the controls.
"Couldn't have said better myself pal!" Bram exclaimed as he fiddled with controls. "This looks simple enough." Mel said herself as she quickly read through the maintenance manual. "What are waiting for then? Lets get to blasting bad guys!" Aeris impatiently shouted as she a battle ready stance on the controls.
"Releasing Zords!" Spike shouted as he pressed a button, releasing four different vehicles from the ship.
"Super Mega Jet!"
"Super Mega Wheeler!"
"Super Mega Racer!"
"Super Mega Sub!"
"Zords combine!" Everyone shouted at once as they pressed buttons in their respective cockpits, causing all five vehicles to break apart and start forming a huge humanoid robot.
"Legendary Megazord, Ready!"
In contingent with pirate theme, the Megazord put on a pirate like hat on. The pink and yellow zords formed the right and left legs respectively. The blue and green zords formed the right and left arms respectively as well. The ship itself formed the body and head of the massive robot. All five Rangers also now sat in the main cockpit with Spike in the center. The ships controls were similar to a ships sterling wheel.
"Seriously, just when I this couldn't anymore awesome!" Aeris exclaimed excitedly. "Yeah, this is Morphenomenal!" Bram shouted. The others looked at him with confused looks. "Morphenomenal? Don't you mean phenomenal?" Rover asked questioning his friend's grammar. "Well, it was the original Power Rangers favorite catchphrase, so I figured why not bring it back?" Bram explained.
Spike tapped his chin. "It does have a nice ring to it... why not?" Spike said to Bram's delight. "HEY! FORGETTING SOMEONE!?" They heard a familiar voice impatiently yelled. They turned back to the cockpit window to find Piranhatron impatiently tapping his foot. "Whoops! Almost for got we were in a giant fighting robot." Mel said in a embarrassed tone. "Let's get started then!" Spike shouted.
The Megazord immediately charged swinging it's giant swords toward the Bruisers as well following up with an uppercut to Piranhatron, sending him halfway across the city before quickly getting back up. "Let's see your dodged this!" He shouted as he shot several missiles a the Megazord. "Quick! Evasive maneuvers!" Aeris shouted, with all of them turning the wheels, causing the Megazord to dodged left before the missiles could hit them.
"Where did that tin can go now?" Rover asked when noticed the lack of the villains presence. Piranhatron suddenly jumped down from behind them. "You forgot to watch your back! Time to open your tin can!" He shouted as he attempted to twist open the back of the Megazord. "He's trying to clog our gears!" Bram shouted. As Piranhatron twisted the black wheel on the back. The front parts of the arms and legs suddenly started glowing. The chest as well as the arms and legs suddenly opened up, revealing a cannon in the chest and cannon balls in the arms and legs.
The cannon suddenly fired on the lone bruiser that wasn't taken out and destroyed him. "What!?" Piranhatron exclaimed in disbelief. "That was unexpected, but handy." Mel said in awe. The five quickly grabbed Piranhatron and threw him into a nearby building, dazing him a little. "Guys, from what I can guess, we should be able to activate that attack, which I learned is called the Super Mega Star-Burst, if we insert our ranger keys into these slots next to the wheels." Rover informed.
"I can't help but love your huge brain sometimes Rover!" Aeris exclaimed excitedly to Rover's embarrassment. "Let's do it then!" Spike shouted before they each inserted they're Rangers keys into the slots. This once more brought out the giant cannon and and aimed it toward Piranhatron, who had recovered a little. "What...?"
"Super Mega Star-Burst Cannon!" The cannon proceded to fire cannonballs at Piranhatron as he roared in defeat. "How could I been beaten by a bunch of multicolored lower lifeforms!?" He shouted as he fell and exploded.
"We did it!" Aeris shouted as the Megazord turned its back to the explosion in victory.
"Super Mega Rangers, that's a Super Mega win!" Spike declared.
"Hmph, that figures." Vildrax muttered to himself as he and his commanders had watched the battle. "It is clear we cannot let our guard down because they are amateurs. But we will destory them soon enough...." Vildrax stated with a sinister grin.
After they managed to get out of Fillydelphia, the Rangers, who were still in uniform except they weren't wearing their helmets, were given a tour of the Skyship by Alpha when they entered the main room of the ship.
(Bear with me, this is the best I can do to show you what the interior looks in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger)
On top of the doorway, there was a large monitor with some kind of command board near it. In the middle of the room, there was what looked like a pirate captains chair. There was couch on the left side of the room when you walked in and in the far right corner, there was a dining room table.
"This ship is incredible." Rover commented as he looked around. Gosei's image suddenly appeared on the monitor. "Welcome to Megaforce Skyship Rangers. This ship will be your main base of operations and will provide both transportation and living courters when you are required to travel outside of Equestria." He informed. "Amazing, isn't it?" Alpha commented.
"Yeah it is, but where ared we gonna hide it?" Mel asked. The five pondered for a minute before Spike snapped his fingers. "I think fou out of five of us know exactly where to put it." He stated with a knowing look on his face. Rover, Bram, and Aeris caught on to what he was talking about except for Mel and Alpha, who both had a confused looks on their faces. "Riggggghhhhhht.... that place....." Bram said wistfully
Mel and Alpha looked between them even more confused. "What are you guys talking about?"
Near the edge of a slightly distant part of the Everfree Forest, the group were standing near an oddly shaped stone plate on the ground. "What's this thing?" Mel asked curiously. Spike smirked a little. "This... is the entrance to our secret hangout." Spike replied as he stepped on the and said the words. "Pals for Life....." As soon as the words left his mouth, the plate he was standing started glowing blue when some thick brush nearby suddenly opened up.
The group began working their way through the path. "We discovered this place two weeks after the four of us met." Bram explained. Aeris suddenly turned toward Mel and Alpha. "Listen Mel, since your part of our group now, we are allowing our hangout to be your hangout as well, so you got to Pinkie Promise not to tell anyone about this place, got it?" Aeris said in a stern voice.
"What's a Pinkie Promise?" Mel asked confused. Spike quickly explained the whole deal with Pinkie Promises and how breaking will quickly lose your friendship with that person or pony. He then showed her the proper hand movements and sayings.
"I... I Pinkie Promise not to tell anyone about this place. Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!"
All four smiled before Rover said. "Then Mel, Alpha, we welcome you both to.... (Pause for dramatic effect....) Outsider's Lookout!"
They stopped in large open field when Mel and Alpha looked up and looked an awe at the giant tree before them. A large structure was built into the tree. There was a large deck like area with no railings on the right side of the tree. There couple of balconies in different places around the tree. At the very top of the tree, there was a large observation deck with a telescope mostly likely used for star gazing.
"This place is incredible...." Mel muttered as she gazed the mass of the tree. "It certainly is something..." Alpha commented as he gazed at the tree. "Cool right? When discovered this place, we decided to make it our official hangout, Spike even set up that nifty password tile so only we could get in." Aeris explained.
"Just a little something I learned from a book about magical protection devices." Spike said with a proud smile. "What are we waiting for? Let's give them the grand tour." Bram quickly hastened toward the basket elevator Rover set up. Everyone obliged and piled into the basket elevator.
They rose into a large circular room with giant television in a corner with a large circular couch in front of it. There was also a large bookcase on right of the t.v. set. "Since Twilight doesn't use the royal budget much, we decided to use some of it to help make this a great hangout." Spike explained.
Rover took notice of a chest Alpha was carrying. "Hey Alpha, what's the chest for?" He asked curiously. "Oh this? Take a look." Alpha then opened the chest to reveal the ranger keys inside. "This is just a safe place to keep the ranger keys whenever you aren't using them. Oh I just remembered!"
Alpha quickly went over to the circular wall in the middle of the room and placed a small device in it and turned it on. "There! This device will allow you to teleport here or into the sky ship." Alpha explained excitedly.
"Twilight and the girls aren't gonna be back for a few days, so why don't we go to Canterlot tomorrow? I can send a letter to Celestia and ask her to send a chariot to pick us up. Just a nice reward for ourselves after our first successful mission as Rangers."
The others agreed to this and decided to call it quits for the night. As the five walked as they went the path. Spike turned to Mel. "Talk about an interesting first day of scool huh?" Spike joked. Mel nodded. "It certainly was, wasn't it?"I wonder what else will await us now that we're Power Rangers..." Mel thought to herself as she gazed up at Luna's starlit night.

Well I finally finished this chapter, was a real pain to right, but I hope it's satisfactory for everyone.
