//-------------------------------------------------------// Scoota-Days -by xMistyStarx- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// First Day //-------------------------------------------------------// First Day    Hey, my name's Scootaloo. I live with my sister, Twilight Sparkle, who adopted my not too long ago. I have been through many things ranging from trouble to sadness to good times. But... What I mostly remember is my days in the orphanage. I didn't have many friends, though, but I managed to pull through. I couldn't be thankful enough for my life now. My sister is a princess, Rainbow Dash as my personal flying tutor, my friends living close by, and sending letters to old orphan foals. Here is my story. My story of the Scoota-Days.       A little orange 8 year old filly wandered the streets of Ponyville. She would use the little bits she found on the street and use it for a few bread slices. Many times the filly starved, fainting on the road, afraid to be seen. This very day was different.       At her young age, she would have to collect way more bits. Why? Because a growing pony needs food. She nearly tossed her cookies on the sidewalk from severe hunger and lack of warmth. Her stomach shrunk and her unused, dinky little wings were like nothing to her. She whimpered, her ears drooping. Hooves clipped against the dirty road as carriages passed.     Rain started to fall from the clouds as the filly stopped at the middle of the sidewalk, the sound of heavy rumbling taking place. A dark green carriage -a large size, too- drove down the street, but turned around, stopping mere inches before the filly's hoof. A stallion hopped out, two mares behind him. The orange pegasus stared, backing up a bit.       "She's one of 'em. Let's take her, shall we?" The colt asked, the mares nodding. One mare had white fur and wings, and picked up the filly. She started balling out, breaking down hard. The white pegasus cradled her in her hooves. She looked up the the other mare. "She's soft. Make sure we take good care of her," she said laying the filly in the back of the carriage. The stallion galloped off into the distance, the rain trickling down his mane.     Scootaloo opened her eyes, staring out the back of the carriage. It wasn't too dark. As if somepony had lit a weak torch at the corner.... or maybe it was. A yellow aurora lit at the corner of the carriage, as Scootaloo reached for it, feeling something solid, and her hoof being grabbed the the light. "W-Who's there?" the voice asked. Scootaloo's hoof had been carried by the magic aurora, which lifted her up. Her hooves no longer touched the ground. She felt like she was.... flying! Looking back at her wings, she flapped them, then harder, then-    "Who are you?" the voice asked, Scootaloo's hoof being released from the magical grip. It was really dark, but a small light still showed. A black unicorn filly emerged from the corner shadow, her green eyes glowing. Her mane was like Scootaloo's, but only green and yellow. She smiled. "My name's Thunder. What's yours?" she asked. Scootaloo brightened up, her tail flicking and a smirk on her face. That's how it started, but this, as you can see, is only the beginning... //-------------------------------------------------------// Dearest Friend //-------------------------------------------------------// Dearest Friend     The sound of the truck rumbled and the wheels rubbed against the street. It showed no sign of stopping, though Scootaloo was wrong. The vehicle screeched to a stop, before a large brick building. Scootaloo shivered at it, then leaped out with Thunder by her side. The fillies were lead through an iron door with a metal lock on it.     She frowned as the lights flickered on, then the two followed the stallion upstairs. It was just like an old mansion. Doors lead to rooms and bathrooms and the leather rugs lined each hallway. The stallion shoved Thunder and Scootaloo into a random room, slamming the door. The two tumbled onto the carpet, Scootaloo smacking her forehead on a dresser. "Thunder, I wanna go h-home..." Scootaloo sniffed, Thunder wrapping her hooves around the sobbing pegasus filly. She wiped a tear away and sighed. "Scootaloo.... You don't have one. B-but it's okay, we can take care of each other, right?" Thunder got a reply which was a silent nod, then another hug. The two sat in a ball of fur for almost an hour, sleeping in each other's hooves. After two hours passed, the two woke up to the sound of a bird chirping on the window frame. Its wing was badly damaged and looked hungry, but chirpped with anticipation, determined to find food. "Scootaloo, look!" Thunder hollered, pointing a hoof to the window. Scootaloo shifted her gaze to the dusty window, smiling. She trotted over, climbing onto the table as a stool. Pushing her hooves against the latch, the window busting open, breeze flying in. The bird carefully and cautiously put a leg in, then the other, tweeting happily. Thunder clapped her hooves, lifting the bird in her magic. It was bright blue with white tiled wings. "Let's keep her. We can take care of her,"  Scootaloo suggested. Thunder. Nodded, placing the bird in the closet, doors slightly open.
