When the Idol of Boreas was lost to the Griffon Empire, something else disappeared with it—the Kar’acha, known also as the Vane-Scribe. Without the one griffon who could hear the feathersong, and thus deliver the destiny of griffons throughout Equestria, apathy and lethargy soon brought a once mighty race to its knees.

No-one was expecting the Kar’acha to one day return, and certainly not in the form of Gilda. And she's pretty unimpressed about it, too.

She's got her reasons, though. Good ones. Now she just needs to convince Starlight Glimmer and Moon Dancer to help her get rid of the feathersong once again—and this time forever.
