Prologue Part 1 A storm blowing over the neighborhood. (POV Teran)
Somewhere inside a sealed up base fortress...
"Hey easy there big guys, I'm still new to being a hostage ya know-OW!" I said as one of the guard punched my back.
"Get moving kid, the boss wants to see alive and he ain't much happy too." That guardsman said to me while pushing me again.
"How did he manage to hide out from an entire government around the world anyway?"
"He always got some secrets in his genius head of his, knowing of when to use them at every angle."
"Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight..."
Well here I was, being dragged onto the floor trying to get up straight. My bones have been bruised up from all the torturing and I got a couple of big cut scars on my face. Things haven't been the same for me since being in this hell hole about a week or so. Damn I couldn't even know of how long exactly. First being graduating from school and now this base is really getting on my nerves.
For those of you wanting to know how I ended up in this mess, well it all started back in my last days of high school...
March 10th, 2015 7:30 a.m. ...
Hi there my name is Teran Ripley. Now I'm sure that anyone can tell how a poor sad average boy like me ended up in Ohio. Well I was actually born in Washington D.C. and things didn't go so well back in childhood. My dad has been with me for about six or seven years and we have been having fun since he uses some kind of power to playing pranks or some other things he didn't tell me.
I told my father if I'll be having the same powers as his, but he shook his head no and tells me that you are not old enough to wield 'chaos and disharmony magic'. I thought that there was no such thing as magic back then, but he somehow proved me wrong when he showed me a place of where he was born in. That caught me off-guard when he also told me he's not born from Earth, but a peaceful planet called 'Equis or Equus' for short. I checked in any system in every book about this planet, but there was no sign of anything mentioned about this planet of where my dad is born.
Before my dad had to go on a long trip somewhere, he gave me some sort of symbol box. I didn't know what's inside of it or how to open it, but me only told me that you need to it when you are ready to leave Earth. By the time I was going to ask him how, he just vanished into thin air with a snap of a finger. I just wish he could've told me and my mom of where he went exactly.
It has been 12 or 13 years since my dad left and he didn't even called me or my mom at all. Where is he at this time-
"Teran wake up, the bus is about to pull to our school." My friend said nudging on my shoulder.
"Uh h-hey Adam, no I'm just thinking about somethin." I yawned a bit.
"Thinking about your father not knowing of where he'll be?"
"Eh pretty much, not going to bother him cause it could be something else he's not telling me about."
"Good point, so what're you gonna do while we graduate from high school this year?"
"Hmmmmm not too sure..." I trailed off when some strange girl caught my eye by the side walk. I couldn't quite tell of who she is, but there's something about her that gets my spine chilled, like she was smirking or probably winked at me.
"Something wrong Teran?" My friend quietly said to me.
"Uh I-it's nothing Adam, that girl by the side walk. It felt like I've known her or maybe not, but something is off about her."
"Jeez get it together man, I'm sure that this girl you've seen will be long gone by the time we go to college next year." Adam said patting my back hard, which I don't mind as much as I hate it.
"Yeah... I'll try to keep it together."
"Good, now get your things ready, we're almost there to school."
It's always somethin about my friend Adam Connor. He does seem like an older me sometimes, well we both have short blue hairs and that our exact age is 19. At least we're completely different with each other though since we met back in middle school and boy was he always the same old Adam that tries to act cool in front of the ladies, most of the time ended in failure cause they got boyfriends. Yeah it was a real shocker of having relationships really young in middle school, but luckily I'm not into being in a relationship.
I don't quite know of why I haven't been in a relationship, but that won't stop me now until I finish up my school work.
"COME ON TERAN, WE'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR CLASS!" Adam shouted getting my attention.
"I'll be ready in a sec Adam." I said to him waving a hand.
Before going straight ahead to the front doors, I looked behind me to see that same girl again. I couldn't tell of why she is standing there and her appearance were all blurry like a snowy fog. Next thing I knew, she just waves at me with her hand and vanishes.
"That is one strange girl..." I muttered before backing up a bit and going back into school.
March 23rd, 2015 10:15 a.m. ...
After finishing up math class, I had to hurry up into gym class next. Last time I was late, it's never easy to deal with a lot exercises and that being a target on any sport is not fair either. Those boys and girls should just take it easy sometimes.
"ALRIGHT EVERYONE LISTEN UP, WE'RE GONNA BE PLAYING ANOTHER ROUND OF DODGEBALL TODAY! THE LAST GAME OF FOOTBALL DIDN'T GO SO WELL LAST WEEK! SO NOW WE HAVE TO STEP UP OUR GAME A BIT!" Our coach shouted to us.
Yeah he is right, our sports games haven't been going well since Derek and Cody were still I the hospital. About a few weeks ago, both of them attended to play back up for any football players. Apparently, a couple of bullies wanted to pull off a dirty trick to get back at Derek and Cody. Luckily I manage to spoil their plans, but I think that it was too late and now both of them are hurt pretty badly.
"I hope that they are okay..." I said not noticing that everyone else has been picked on a team.
"TERAN, QUIT DAZING OUT IN YOUR MIND AND GET INTO POSITION!" Coach Zack yelled at me while blowing a whistle.
"Uh y-yes sir!" I nervously said and moved fast to Frank's team.
"ALRIGHT YA MAGGOTS, WHEN I BLOW THIS WHISTLE, GET READY FOR A DODGEBALL BATTLE!"
Okay this is gonna hurt a lot if I get first.
"3!"
Well at least this be okay, but who is that on the top bench anyways?
"2!"
Eh it must be that same girl from outside, but who is it with her?
"1!"
I'll worry about it later on anyways. When coach Zack blew his whistle, two teams immediately went for the balls. Already each team lost a teammate from the start. I stayed in the game the longest while my own teammates were having trouble of targeting our enemy team and they are very quick to grab each ball and never miss a mark. Razor's team are truly a smart one to fear everyone.
By the time both teams blocked and throwing balls, only I was left and Razor still has twelve members of his standing tall.
"Sorry about this Teran, but you gotta go down the last wimp in dodgeball history." Razor said trying to mock me.
"Come on Teran, you can still win this one!" My friend Carl shouted to cheer me on.
I know that it will be tough to take on Razor's team alone, but maybe there's a better way to learn some new moves. Smirking on what I thought about, I straighten up my left arm, pulled a thumbs up, and closing one eye for a clean target. Once I found it, I threw the ball at the members. Each one ducked or avoided my hit, but they didn't realize I threw it for a curve and it hit three members on their butts.
"That is one tough ball to dodge." I heard coach Zack stunned of what he saw while my teammates were cheering me on.
"Still think I'm not very weak Razor?" I chucked up to see his teammates jaws slightly dropped.
"Cocky little punk, I'll show him who runs this school, Jack?" Razor said to his member.
I see Jack nodding to him as both Jack and Will go their balls ready to throw at me. The first one was thrown directed at my face while the other tried to get my groin. I anticipated of what they were trying and made sure those balls didn't get to me. Once those balls are coming close, I easily caught them and threw them back in a reversal spin. The targets are now hit and both guys got hit in the face.
"Come on Razor, is that all your boyfriends got right now?" I teased at him, which got an upset and very angry result to him.
"GRRR FROST, LANCE, REX, WIPE HIM CLEAN AND GOOD SO THAT HE CRASHES TO THE WALL!!!"
Wow, I never expected for Razor to be this embarrassed at all.
So far I am really on a role now and in the end, my team won the first round. It seems that the morale has increased on my side and Razor's team is losing their cool. Now that both teams have 2 points, it is now the final round.
"ALRIGHT YA MAGGOTS, NOW THAT THIS IS THE FINAL ROUND, EACH TEAM WILL HAVE ONLY HAVE THREE PLAYERS ON THE FIELD! THE LAST MEMBERS ON ONE TEAM WILL WIN! SO CHOOSE CAREFULLY ON WHO TO PICK THE BEST, YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES!"
Well it looks like I'm in along with Adam and Carl. Razor has chosen Rick and Greg as his best aces. There was something wrong with Razor I think, like something is actually controlling him of being a puppet as a string doll and it seems that girl in the bench is scared or worried. Yeah I don't think anyone can see it so I guess that it's going to be me saving his ass. I just gotta remember to know how actually.
"ALRIGHT BOYS, GET READY FOR THE FINAL ROUND!"
"3!!!"
"2!!!"
"1!!!"
As the whistle blows out, both Adam and Carl grabbed each ball while Razor's teammates got theirs as well. It looks like the both of us are waiting to see of who will strike first. While both members are throwing and dodging balls, I somehow see Razor's eyes glowing blue like why is his eyes doing that? Something tells me this isn't good and I should stay ready.
(So you are the son of Discord if I'm not mistaken? How pathetic, I thought for sure that you would be a worthy challenger.)
Is Razor actually talking to me in my thoughts?
(I am not who you think I am, rather than a part of something that you should fear the most.)
Wait a minute, who or what are you and why is it that you're controlling him?
(If you want your rival back, you'll have to defeat me first.)
We'll see about that whoever you are.
My eyes are back into reality and I see that both me and Razor are left standing. Who or whatever that thing was inside of him, somehow must of gotten me alone in his unknown plan and it's still in control of Razor. I was really sweating from talking to this being and it's getting some chills up my spine. I don't know what it's doing here in school, but I'm not letting it get away.
"Time to end this Teran." Razor said to me in a dark tone.
Whatever he is planning, it can't be good when the ball he's holding is glowing dark in his hand. I need to avoid it cause it couldn't be good if it targets me. As he grips it in hard, he throws it fast at me and I dodged it quick while throwing my ball at him. He never saw it coming when my ball must of grown brightly in the light and got him on the forehead. He tumbles back a bit still standing while he's giving me one last sentence before falling down on the ground.
(Enjoy your victory son of Discord, but this isn't over yet.)
"THE WINNER LEFT STAND IS TERAN RIPLEY!" Coach Zack announced to everyone in the gym.
I was literally stunned of what just happened. While my teammates were holding me up in victory, Razor's team checked up on him to see if he's alright. As I looked back at the top bench, the two girls I saw clapping their hands to me then vanished.
"What the hell is going on in my school?" I muttered quietly and shaking my head.
April 4th, 2015 4:30 p.m. ...
"Now this is a relaxing day to focus on some chores around the house." I said to myself.
Guess all of those classes at school really did pay off from studying a whole lot. My mom had to go out for a few weeks, probably must of been too excited of a new job promotion or some crap like that. That'll be a laugh to me if she didn't.
"HEY TERAN, GET YOUR DOG BACK INSIDE, SOMETHING MUST BE WRONG WITH HER!" My neighbor shouted to me.
"Sorry about that Keith, I'll get her back inside." I answered back annoyingly.
Good lord he does give me a pain in the ass sometimes. I don't know why my dog Chloe has been barking most of the times this year. It hasn't been like to her from the past years since I had her back in the vet. Going outside in the front yard, I frozen to see that same girl again, only this time she brings a couple of friends with her.
"Just w-what is this girl up to, other than creeping the hell out of me?" I nervously said.
I notice a girl beside her is whispering something that I couldn't hear, but where is the other girl? Out of nowhere, that girl has freaked me out when she just popped up right in front of me. I backed up from her and grabbed my dog to get back inside the house, slamming the door to close it tightly so those girls don't break in. I had to catch some breaths and shaking my head to calm down enough.
"You feeling alright Teran, it's like you just freaked out and ran back inside." Keith said to me while knocking on my door.
"Uh sorry Keith, are those girls still outside on my lawn?"
"What are you talking about Teran? I don't see any girls outside in your yard."
You've gotta be kidding me, I saw them out there and my neighbor didn't even see them?!
"...Are you sure Keith?"
"Look outside if you want, well I better get going work now. I suggest you go to a therapy class." Keith said to me while going home.
I looked up from a window slowly and those three girls weren't there. Just what the hell was that about?
April 19th, 2015 7:00 p.m. ...
"Hey there Adam, how's it going on your trip in Wisconsin?" I said to my friend on my smart phone.
"..."
"I don't know man, but something was definitely up with Razor since he hasn't been the same back in school."
"..."
"It could've been an accident from what I can tell, so what's up with your friends lately?"
"...!"
"Yeah things haven't been the same since Doug had some good moments of pranking every students now."
"..."
"Uh well my time of r-relaxing here at my house is not going so good since these six girls are watching me."
"...!!!"
"It's not what it looks like Adam! I tried to tell my neighbors about them, but somehow they don't see them." I said with a small blush on my face, then shook it off.
"...?"
"I'm telling the truth Adam, somehow I can only see these girls and I can't even hear or listen to them."
"..."
"I don't even know anymore man. Look I gotta go now, my dog has an appointment today and I can't be late again."
"...?!"
"Yeah like that'll happen, so anyways goodbye and get better soon Adam!" I said to him and hang up the phone.
Man I definitely need a drink after this. First moving here to get a peaceful life, then mysterious girls were watching me when other people don't see them, then Razor's mood had completely changed, and now I get headaches after my head overloads from exhaustion with a lot of school work. Least now I didn't get in a bad mood at school while I try to play some peaceful music to calm me down.
May 2nd, 2015 2:00 p.m. ...
Great now it's a thunderstorm outside and things are looking bad out there. I saw the news earlier and they say that about half of the neighborhood in Ohio lost their light power due to some reason they can't explain from all these rain. Well at least I still have Chloe with me since she does get frightened sometimes. My mom called back earlier about her work, but it seems that she has trouble at work. She must of gotten into another situation again, which she does seemed okay with a lot of noises, except for me.
"Least things couldn't get any worse, right Chole?" I said to my wolf dog.
Just as I was about to sleep from this awful weather, there is a huge shaking quake coming from my back yard.
"That doesn't look like a normal earthquake..." I mumbled to myself.
I slowly got up from my bed and went to the back door. Opening it up with a loud creak, I popped my head open to see of what was outside making that noise. I looked down from looking around and my eyes were wide open in shock and surprised. I see six girls that are lying on the ground unconscious in the grass. Luckily they have clothing on or I would've bleed out from my nose.
"I never seen these girls before, why are they in my back yard?"
My dog went right past me and she checked on these girls. I think she has taken a liking to them while licking playfully on their cheeks. I never expected Chloe to be this friendly to any strangers in less than a minute.
"Well now what am I gonna do, I can't just leave these girls out here in the rain."
Sighing in defeat with no other better idea, I had to be the hero and carefully picked up each girl one by one inside my house.
About a few hours later, I already gave each of these girls a blanket to keep warm and they seem fine right now. Had to keep looking away from these girl's wet clothing. Don't want to have more nose bleeding or anything like that.
"My mom is going to kill me if she sees these girls in the house when she gets back." I muttered while face palming my face.
My dog did the same thing with her paws and I got a chuckle to see it adorable to her.
"Well I better get ready for bed, you keep an eye on these girls okay?" I said to her and she just nodded her head to me.
While I was getting comfortable in my bed, I think that I heard a quiet gasp coming from the living room. Shaking my head of not hearing it, I went back in bed to just wear off anything and let the storm pass by in the morning.
"I hope things will turn out differently in my past boring life..." I yawned loudly a bit before drifting off in an ocean dream.
The next morning at 8:45 a.m. ...
I really got a big headache, must be from all this thunderstorm last night. Good lord I need to get a pill and water.
"Wait a minute, where is my dog anyway?" I said realizing that she usually wakes me up every morning.
I put on my clothing and brushed my teeth quickly to see what is up with her. Upon finishing up on getting ready, I heard some soft humming that it's coming from the kitchen. Quietly tip toed to that sound, my eyes were wide open to see a girl that is putting up some of my dishes in the sink. She has an unusual clothing that I didn't see before and her hair is a bit messed up. I never seen a girl with a cool rainbow hair, like I only rarely seen any girl wear that color and uh, w-why does she have fake blue wings on her back.
While trying to step closer on what she's up to, I just stupidly knocked over a broom beside me and it startled her. What really shocked me more is that her were REALLY MOVING. That just raises a whole bunch of question as both me and her star at each other.
"Uh s-sorry if I startled you m-miss. I found you and your five friends last night last night while it was raining. I did saved all of you if that's what you were going to ask me. I did gave each of you a blanket to keep you warm if that helps I guess..."
"Are you the one that really saved us and gave me and my friends a blanket?" She questioned me which I'm now nervous.
"Yeah that is really me and I'm not lying to you. So um my name is Teran Ripley, w-what's your name?" I politely asked her.
"...My name is Rainbow Dash." She answered back with a small smile to me.
