Spike and Ember are good friends…and as Ember recently found out, just friends. The noble young dragon's heart truly belongs to Rarity, leaving the Dragon Lord high and dry with a heart aching for something more.
Darius, the human who had ended up in Equestria a year ago due to a freak lightning strike, is also a friend of Ember's after having met her in Twilight's castle while on her tour of Ponyville. He'd always had a crush on her, but kept a respectful distance because of Spike. Upon learning that Ponyville's fashionista had claimed him for herself however, he journeys to the Dragon Lands to lend Ember an ear and possibly a shoulder…and to throw caution to the wind and take the chance at happiness with the beautiful dragoness of his dreams.
