Chapters The interesting life of "Fluttershy"
meet Rainbow Dash "the dasher"
Rainbow Dash was a truly daunting figure with narrow-slit like eyes that showed cunning but a shade of kindness or compassion.
His breath stank of rotten vapors and awful odors and scents that made just about anyone who stood near want to vomit and gag like mad.
Not doubt it was those awful opium smoking sessions he loved to embrace in whenever he had the time, it displeased his father greatly as it did his poor mother.
They even died of great depression when he refused to even consider breaking the habit despite their desperate pleas.
And on the day his parents passed away in their bed, he shed not a tear and not a sob was heard from the malevolent master who stood silently without the slightest gesture of regret or sorrow.
He hated happiness, he detested joy.
Rainbow Dash the dasher, could not stand to see others rejoice.
He loathed laughter, both seeing it and hearing it from anyone other than himself. He longed for a world where happiness, laughter and joy existed for no one but himself.
A world where only cries of sorrow and misery would be heard everywhere, and there would be no fun.
No freedom and no liberty and certainly no friendship would exist in the world that the selfish and arrogant Rainbow Dash wished to create.
Rainbow Dash was a sadist and a traitor. But he was not simply a traitor, oh no he was much more than just another arrogant show-off.
He was a clever and twisted arrogant show-off who was not above breaking rules and inconveniencing others to accomplish his selfish and twisted desires.
He knew that undue haste would only ruin his dark plan, and till the day the opportunity came he would miserably and angrily bide his time.
He would continue to feign friendliness and kindness, while only allowing a tiny part of his arrogance to be exposed to his supposed friends.
He was not their friend, he never considered them his friends.
They were but his puppets in his malign and wicked plan and when the time came, oh how the world would tremble.
If one were to look closely at Rainbow Dash's supposed kind and generous attitude, they would see that every now and again there would be times where patient and cunning as Rainbow Dash was, he simply could not hide all of his selfishness or arrogance away.
Try as Rainbow Dash might, he could not completely hide the fact he was but a spoiled child who cared nothing about the well being of others. There would always be times where a small part, but a part nonetheless of his evil and egoistic personality showed itself to those willing to pay even the slightest shade of attention.
But about that no one cared, and no one would care. No one would question Rainbow Dash's true motives until it was much too late.
No one would stop to consider whether Rainbow Dash's egoistic and boastful nature was a hint as to his true self.
Rainbow Dash had done a good job at conning his friends into liking him and even trusting him to the point where they would never suspect him to be guilty of any crime, whatever evil tongues might say. But that trust meant nothing to Rainbow Dash, and he longed for the day to come soon where he could break it without a shred of remorse.
"Until that day" sighed Rainbow Dash to himself "until the day you'll wish you never crossed paths with me" as he walked beside his friends into class and sat down for yet another long and boring hour of note taking.
"Soon, you're all gonna wish you never messed with Rainbow Dash the dasher" whispered Rainbow Dash to himself, giggling maniacally as he did.
The interesting life of "Fluttershy"
The friendly one we call Fluttershy
A young teenage girl walked casually out of the school gates, taking in the crisp warm air of the spring breeze as she did.
"What a day" she whispered to herself, relieved that another long and tedious day had finished and that she was now free to do as she wished until tomorrow, where the long and excruciating cycle would be all to do again.
"I think I'll go see my friends today, I've really missed them and haven't seen them for a while so it would be nice for me to finally spend some time with them" she said to herself as she stroked her long pink hair which the wind tossed and turned, making it hard for her to see well.
Before she took another step further, she reached into her jacket pocket to check that the pistol she had hidden inside was loaded and ready to fire at a moment's notice.
She could never be too careful, even if the people she was about to visit really were the good friends she could trust with her very life. She could take no chances, and would take no chances.
She hadn't survived in this cruel world this long by being unprepared.
This young student was known by many to lead a humble and quiet existence where she hoped to anger no one and cause no trouble to anyone.
Hence her nickname "Fluttershy".
Despite her quietness and meekness, she was well known among almost the whole school and neighborhood.
She said few words to the boys in the corridor and was never seen making any sort of romantic gesture towards any one them, their attraction and infatuation toward her only grew stronger each day and every boy wanted her as his own.
Yet Fluttershy did nothing to try and earn their attention save for being polite and civil to everyone she met, including the bullies and class clowns.
She gained popularity without asking for it, and got a lot of it too.
Fluttershy did not believe in using violence of any kind, and hated causing pain to anyone.
Yet constant abuse of trust which poor Fluttershy suffered in her painful past had trapped her in a constant state of paranoia.
For this reason, it was from an incredibly young age that she procured her pistol, the only friend she had ever placed her complete trust upon.
She remembered the many late nights she had spent honing her marksmanship skills with it.
Her fellow students could afford to squander their weekends and evenings amusing themselves in various ways, some of them would go to parties and chug down glass after glass of alcohol until they collapsed with intoxication. And some of them sat comfortably on that soft and fluffy couch in front of their plasma screen tv's, and gamed the night away on that lovely video game they loved to talk about so much at school until their eyes were red with fatigue and they could play no longer.
Some watched blockbuster movies and loved every second of it while others went bowling.
Whatever it was that they did, they had fun with it, and it gave them something to smile about and kept them sane. Fluttershy could not help but feel a tinge of jealousy for them.
She had no time for such things, no time to do as she liked. Her traumatizing experiences which she preferred never to talk about had deprived her of any chance of being the "normal" and down to earth teenager she wanted so much to be.
The time she should have spent having fun and enjoying herself after a hard day's labor of of schoolwork, she instead had to spend honing her marksmanship skills with her faithful pistol. She trained and trained until her fingers bled, until her eyes were saggy with fatigue, and there were nights were she did not get any sleep at all so that she could spend it training even more.
She had been training herself with such determination and passion since she was but a toddler. The rapid pace at which she could draw her pistol and the accuracy she could fire it with would bring even the most skilled assassins to shock and awe. Her intensive training had blessed her with the sight and reflexes of an eagle, and even that was an understatement.
She had never killed anyone with her gun however despite having to use it several times in her youth to defend herself from several attempts on her life.
She had only ever shot to disarm or at worst to mildly wound but never to kill.
She hoped she never had to either. She mastered her firearm skill so she could defend herself and others from undeserved and unprovoked violence, but never with the intention to kill or murder.
Fluttershy trusted no one, and never let her guard down around even her closest allies. Ever since her saintly Father had been double crossed by the woman who had vowed to love him in both sickness and health and Fluttershy had barely escaped with her own life, Fluttershy vowed never to trust another person ever again.
At least not fully anyway.
Even now that she had friends she knew she could depend on and who had done much to gain her trust, she still felt much safer with her trusty pistol securely hidden away in her pocket, ready to draw out at a moment's notice.
She had no intention to hurt or kill, she intended only to help and befriend. Her pistol was only there as a last ditch resort, when violence was the only solution and when the threat sadly could not be ignored.
Fluttershy was an avid caretaker of animals, and she had quite the collection of house pets in the cheap and humble room she lived in.
A rabbit called angel and a budgie named "Bugs" were just two of the many pets she had taken in to look after, after finding them lost and abandoned in the cold lonely streets of the city.
There were other pets she had taken in too, after saving them from starvation after they were left for dead and unwanted by their former owners who threw them out to die.
Fluttershy loved them, and they loved her. They were more trustworthy than even her closest human friends for they were pure of heart and more honest than even the most honest and frank of humans.
To Fluttershy, her animals were the closest thing she had to a loving family since she became a lonely and lost orphan. To her animals, she was their savior and great benefactor who had selflessly aided them in their time of need, and they would forever be grateful of the things she had done for them and do their best to return the favor whenever possible.
Fluttershy was a girl of few words, and was rarely the first to speak in the few conversations she took part in.
Even then, her words were few and she often said no more than was necessary. Yet the few words she did vocalize out loud showed her to be a selfless and evangelistic soul whose generous actions spoke for themselves.
Fluttershy was a quiet, enigmatic yet nonetheless amiable individual whose actions always sought to improve the lives of those around her.
It was hard to start a conversation with Fluttershy, even if she had known you for quiet a while. Yet she did not have to say much to garner the respect and admiration of those who she spoke to, her serene and humble nature made words unnecessary.
It could be said that Fluttershy's grades in school were incredibly decent and that not a single year had passed where she did not receive a certificate of honor for them.
Yet she was never actively aiming to score high in the tests in order to gather respect and reputation from the school, she was simply determined not to ruin her future by not being bothered to do what every self respecting student ought to do in the first place, which was to simply revise.
Fluttershy was the only student who could see Rainbow Dash for who he really was, a scheming and duplicitous crook and villain.
Being a kind and generous spirit made her wise and canny also, and she could tell despite Rainbow Dash's facade that there was no love in his heart.
She saw not with her eyes, but with her heart, that he was no hero.
Yet Fluttershy's kindness and morality prevented her from simply using violence to deal with Rainbow Dash, she was far too kind to do such a thing and to kill or injure anyone outside of defense, was to betray the morals she had sworn to uphold regardless of situation.
She had tried before to warn her friends of the dangers of continuing to trust Rainbow Dash when it was clear that he was acting suspiciously, but Rainbow Dash's lies had already blinded them to his true nature and they had thrown caution to the wind long ago.
And as Fluttershy strolled into town now safe in the knowledge that her pistol was loaded and ready, she wondered just how long it would take her friends to realize the flaws of Rainbow Dash.
She had tried to warn them, but they had paid her no attention and so she could but hope that they would come to realize soon.
She only hoped that by the time they came to the realization that Rainbow Dash was but a manipulative psychopath, it would not be too late.
But whether her friends found out in time or not, the girl whose nickname was Fluttershy promised herself that she would be ready when Rainbow Dash did unleash whatever evil scheme he was hatching. She would most likely be alone against him, the chances of her friends being of any help at all when were very slim even from an optimistic point of view.
She hoped that if it came to a fight, she would not have to take his life. She did not hate him, for hating was bad.
And she did not want in the slightest to kill him.
She saw great evil in him, but saw also that he had great power to do good should he choose to.
But for now, all she could do was pray for him. Pray that he could be reformed and freed from his evil ambitions before he succumbed to them.
"May heaven watch over you, Rainbow Dash, and may you be happy with whatever path you choose to take" intoned Fluttershy fervently as she looked to the sky in desperation.
The interesting life of "Fluttershy"
Insecurities and inner demons
"Um... hi everyone" said Fluttershy shyly as she stepped into the lobby where her four friends stood eagerly waiting for her.
Yet even as she stepped towards her friends, she did so cautiously, her fingers trembling as she went.
Her eyes darted around the room, carefully scanning for any sign of movement and despite her eagerness at being able to spend time with the four friends she owed her life to, her glance was both calculating and timid and her trembling hand held her jacket pocket, ready to draw out her trusty pistol at a second's notice if needed.
They were her friends, no more than that, they were her best friends but years of feeling cheap, cheated and abused had taught Fluttershy never to trust in anyone but herself.
She was as cautious around her most trusted companions as she was around any shady stranger and treated them with no more trust than she did her most feared enemies (or adversaries as she preferred to call them since hating was bad and to call them enemies would be to say she hated them)
As Fluttershy cautiously waved at the four girls who were about her age sitting in front of her, tears welled in her eyes as she recalled a much more blissful time in her tragic life, a time where her trust could be given to those she cared about without restraint, a time where she could say she still had what people called "a family".
Several years ago
Her dad would gently caress her in his loving arms, and gently stroke her cheeks when she ran to him crying after a hard day and nothing was more soothing than hearing his tranquil, melodious voice as he sympathetically comforted his daughter who he loved with all his heart.
He never punished her, and she never disappointing him. He held her in high esteem and made her happy without spoiling her and taught her the same lessons the great and honorable Gandhi and John Kennedy once taught their loyal subjects. He taught her to be a peaceful figure who detested violence of any sort.
He taught her the meaning of selflessness, and the virtue of kindness and mercy to even the enemy.
While he lived, Fluttershy felt as if she was already in heaven. She saw no need to make any other friends for she already had the only two friends she would ever need in her life, mama and papa.
Her father's name, she would tell no one as it was her secret to keep and to bring it up in even casual conversation would only sink her into a deeper depression than she was already stuck in. As for her mother, try as she might Fluttershy could not let go of the hatred she felt against that woman. She wanted to forgive or at least forget, but all the lessons Fluttershy had learned about acceptance and forgiveness could not persuade her to let go of the everlasting grudge she felt for the friend she regarded as long dead.
She was but seven years of age, when it happened. She would never know why, but that dark and stormy night when that family reunion day came and when she would finally see her beloved mother again after she had been away for so long was the very night she came to abhor.
Fluttershy's mother was often away working, and the brief times when she did come home were so brief, Fluttershy never had a chance to exchange many words with her mother before her mother was forced to leave once more. Fluttershy realized that her mother was a busy woman and that she was already lucky to have her beloved father by her side, but could not help but yearn for her mother not to be away for so long.
Yet the day the very thing Fluttershy dreamed of despite its innocence, was the day the smile on Fluttershy's once optimistic cheeks forever faded.
It began one late night when unable to sleep, Fluttershy lay awake in bed, trembling for a reason she could not explain.
Her father had fallen asleep on the sofa downstairs and was snoring heartily in deep slumber. as
Thats when she heard the ominous sound of a key turn in the lock of the front door, and a set of barely audible footsteps were heard as a cloaked figure crept into the house.
They were as silent as footsteps came, and the entry was as discrete as any entry could be but Fluttershy heard it all, being wide awake as she was.
But before she could take even one step further, her ears were assaulted by the horrific cry of anguish and horror which emitted from the room downstairs. She heard it for but a fraction of a second, for the sound was instantly muffled as if someone had covered the mouth of the yelling man to prevent him yelling any further.
But that cry was enough and Fluttershy knew she could waste no time, as much sorrow as she felt for the victim of that cry as she did. Careful to make as little noise as possible, she crept towards her window which was fortunately open to let the cooling breeze in on that hot summer's night.
It was a long way down, but Fluttershy knew it was her only chance, and knew that she might have only seconds before the assailant downstairs noticed her presence and decided to come for her too. She had barely taken a few steps before a set of stealthy feet began thudding up the stairs.
There was no time to think, no time to consider, for the shy and timid pink haired girl thinking to dive out the window despite the absurdly steep drop the choice was simple.
Take a chance and risk everything or play it safe, and lose it all there and then.
Not wasting an instant, she dove from the window without hesitation, silently praying to lady luck as she did so. Even as she fell to the earth making no sound as she fell, a gunshot echoed in the room she had just jumped from.
She hit the earth, dazed and shaken with a somewhat sprained leg, but other wisely physically unhurt and uninjured. The same could not be said for her mental well being for as she glanced back towards the window to behold her assailant, she saw in that brief glance the face of the assassin. The face of her mother, of mama....
It was but a glance but that awful image was forever seared into her memory.
It was therefore no surprise that when poor Flutters had spent an hour fleeing her home in desperation (not even able to say goodbye to her beloved father) and had come to her senses, that she talked to no one.
She begged no one for money, she asked no one for help, she asked for nothing from anyone. Her sense of trust had forever been broken and she would never trust again. When you could place no trust in the very woman who created you, who was supposed to love you unconditionally in both sickness and health regardless of situation, how could she place trust in any stranger. They would likely be just as bad, if not worse and Fluttershy realized that she could talk to no one.
Instead, she left the city behind and headed for the woods, taking care not to talk or make eye contact with any passer by who happened to be out despite the late hour.
Once a boy, no more than perhaps 3 years her senior spoke to her, perhaps asking if she was alright and needed help.
With tears in her eyes , Fluttershy smote him in the face and he fled.
She stumbled through the thick undergrowth, struggled across dense vegetation and the many branches that blocked her way and waded across a large river when there was no bridge across it. She wandered on and on, aimlessly through the wilderness, until fatigue overcame her and she could limp no longer when she collapsed into a pile of fallen leaves and dropped off to slumber, tears streaming down her face as she slept.
She woke at dawn, and continued to struggle on. She had nothing to eat, for she could not trust even the berries and fruit she came across. She could trust no more.
Once again, she collapsed with fatigue when the night came and fell asleep knowing full well she might not ever wake from her slumber in the very likely event a predator savaged her in her sleep.
But non did, and Fluttershy continued on forward, wondering if she would ever leave that seemingly endless forest. It wasn't until several days later that Fluttershy finally came across a city. Several times now, her thirst had driven her to drink river water and to eat the berries she would otherwise not touch with a barge pole.
She shuddered and stepped towards the city, still in her
