Twilight of the Thunder God

by VunderGuy
Thor. The God of Thunder. Or was he Donald Blake? Orphan doctor of Norwegian descent? Whoever he was, without question, he was the protector of midgard. But now, he finds himself on a world that needs him even more than earth. A terrifying thought.

Thor Odinson, Prince of Asgard, God of Thunder, had always had a bit of an identity crises ever since he walked upon the face of the earth again as the alter-ego of one Donald Blake, a doctor who grew up in New York City as an orphan of Norwegian descent before one fateful trip to his country of origin lead him to unleash the divinity tucked secretly within.

However, like a true son of Asgard, and more importantly, a true hero, he had the professionalism to shun that aside as a defacto linchpin in the defense of midgard. But, after recent events in his own universe send him to another, he discovers a world that makes him question his true self even more on top of constantly being under threat by forces its inhabitants are barely able to subdue through dumb-luck alone.

At least he has the added benefit of friendship with a fellow deity as he decides to stick around and give this new world his much needed (and appreciated) protection, even if she is not one to admit her self-evident claim to divinity… and is even more unsure of herself than he.

If only the reptilian eyes and forked tongue of a fated foe weren’t lurking just beneath the shadows… ready to strike, encircle, and crush this world with its ancient and malevolent might…
