Chapter Two: Queen Solaria

Princess Luna froze in fear and was sweating bullets. But acting quickly she flipped to the first page and to her luck her sister didn't notice. Celestia teleported right in front of her sister and snatched her journal out of her hoof.

"Luna," said Celestia sternly.

"I'm sorry...Celestia. I-I just saw it lying on the floor and I couldn't help myself," replied the Princess of the Night.

The older alicorn let out a deep breath. "It's fine, I forgive you just do it again...but look out for any pranks, Luna." The Day Princess grinned as she exited her room.

"W-What does that mean!?" Exclaimed the Princess, chasing after her sister.

Twilight happily trotted to her library she just recently arrived back from Canterlot. When she entered the library she was then greeted by her faithful assistant, Spike.

"So how was your tea date with Princess Celestia?" asked Spike.

The unicorn glared at the dragon. "It's wasn't a date, Spike." Twilight felt a bit off when saying that. Was it? thought Twilight. She instantly shoved that thought out of her mind.

"Anyway... Princess Celestia's daughter, Queen Solaria and Prime Minister Hoofclin of Amareica are coming to visit. And on the day of remembrance of the founding of their country, I'm going to the United Kingdom of Amarerica! And! The Princess said you and my friends could come!"

Spike beamed. "That's great! When are we going? What's Amarerica? And who is Queen Solaria?"

Twilight's ears drooped, she then went over to one of the library's shelves and got out a book and handed it to Spike.

"Here read it, it's about everything about Amarerica and we are going to leave on September seventh," the mulberry unicorn said. Spike reluctantly grabbed the book and groaned.

The purple dragon opened up the book and after a few seconds of reading his eyes widened in shock. "Wow...Princess Celestia has been married a lot of times."

The Element of Magic raised her eyebrow she didn't know her mentor had ever tied more than once. "Princess Celestia has only been married one time, Spike. She married Prince Cosmos and he is the father of Queen Solaria.”

“You probably only know him since he's the father of the Queen,” responded the baby dragon. He read more of the passage in the book.

“Actually Princess Celestia has had more children with her other spouses, but they weren't alicorns.

“How many time has she married?"

"Her past marriages were to Prince Cosmos, the father of Queen Solaria, Princess Mabel, Prince Astrem, Princess Adela, Prince Ruby, Prince Astron, Princess Aurora, Prince Lightning Mist, and the former Queen of Prance, Queen Majesty. She married all of them in less than a thousand years."

"Well, I didn't know that," said Twilight. She thought she knew everything. Spike passed the book to Twilight and she began to read the passage all about her mentor, Princess Celestia. Some things she didn't recognize.

Canterlot

A week later

Brass horns blared in the ears of ponies. "Queen Solaria and Prime Minister Hoofclin of Amarerica!" announced Captain Shining Armor.

In the street there was an earth pony stallion dressed in a dark suit and a scroll as a cutiemark. With him was an alicorn with a flowing pastel pink mane and tail with a golden yellow ombre. She bears a white coat with a hint of grey. Her cutie mark is a golden sun with pointy edges and she is in an opulent robe and headdress.

The two were surrounded by many guards and the three princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadance surrounded by guards walked towards the two.

Also with the three princesses was Twilight Sparkle who was understandably nervous. Big grins plastered their faces and their wings spread. The Prime Minister and Queen bowed to the trio and the Princesses and Twilight also bowed.

"Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, and Miss Twilight Sparkle greetings to all of you," said President Hoofclin.

Princess Celestia beamed, "same to you Prime Minister Hoofclin and my daughter, Solaria. It's been a few years." They all stood straight again and steered to the castle.

One time they all got to the castle Solaria quickly embraced her mother. "Oh, I missed you sooooo much!"

Celestia hugged her daughter back with tears pouring from her eyes. "Same here."

The Queen broke the hug. "Cadance! Oh, It's been so long and Auntie Luna, it's been forever!" The three embraced each other in great tone.

Solaria broke the hug and looked at Twilight. "You must be the apprentice of my mother, Twilight Sparkle, the brother of Captain Shining Armor and Element of Magic, is it?"

Twilight nodded, "yup! That's me, Your Highness."

Solaria smiled and same with President Hoofclin shook hoofs with Twilight.

Heh, my mother was right I can totally see my father in her., thought the Queen .

After the meeting everypony, but Queen Solaria and, her mother, Princess Celestia were the only ones. Both of them wanted to talk in private.

"I thought Nightmare Moon cursed Cosmos to never reincarnate again?" Asked the Queen of Amareica.

"No, the spell was that Cosmos would never be reincarnated for as long as she was imprisoned. Twilight was born seventeen years before she returned and the spell was weakening," responded the mother.

Solaria sighed, "it's been so long since I was with my father or mother? Whatever, but are you going to tell her?"

"I will," replied the Sun Princess. "But first I need to win her heart!"

Solaria chuckled, "good luck with that, mamma. I don't know if you noticed but you're pretty old."

"Oh, quiet it's not like you are in your twenties miss about to be two-thousand years old!"

Twilight Sparkle waited outside of the meeting room waiting for Princess Celestia. Her mind was scrambled with many questions. Taking her by surprise was the big door opening revealing Queen Solaria and Princess Celestia.

"Oh! Hello, Your Highnesses!" Twilight nervously bowed.

"There's no need for that, my faithful student," responded the Princess of the Day.

The unicorn stood up straight, "sorry! But I need to talk to you, Princess."

The Solar Alicorn smiled and her daughter trotted away winking at her mother and left the two alone. "So what is it my faithful student?"

"I...um...well," what is wrong with me? thought Twilight. She cleared her throat. "I would like to ask you questions about...you."

"Oh?" Questioned the white alicorn.

"Y-Yeah, like why are you a Princess and not a queen?"

The Princess smiled. "Luna and I were given the title of Princesses so we have equal power.”

Twilight nodded. “Ah, that makes sense.”

"So, my faithful student do you have anymore questions?" asked Celestia.

The Element of Magic beamed, "oh, yes!"

The two trotted through the hallways of Celestia's castle and she replied the questions Twilight asked. But what was this small flutter in Twilight's heart?
