Hmm? Oh, I didn't see you there little pup. My eyesight has been fading as of late, but such a thing comes with age. Now, What did you want with this old broken twig.

I want to hear about the old heroes again!

You want to tell you that old tale again? Ha ha ha... You have only heard it hundreds of times before.

B-but, it is my favorite!

I know it is your favorite Olive Branch, but can't you get another to tell you? My memory is slowly fading with time.

You always tell it the best! Besides, I wanna hear about you this time!

You do have a point there. I guess I shall tell you since I was there. My tale begins a long time ago, back when I was just a pup, when the lands surrounding Equestria were still shrouded in the darkness of slavery and villainy. My story actually starts in a whole other world. In fact many of the heroes and villains that made the biggest impact on Equis' surface were from the same world that I was. A world of humans...

My day started like any other day. Alarm goes off at 5:30 AM on the dot, take a shower, eat a small breakfast, grab my bike, and I would usually head to work today, but I got the day off so I headed to my favorite little coffee shop that was sandwiched between two larger buildings called 'The Hole in the Wall'. Sure, it wasn't the biggest of places, nor had the best tasting coffee, but SHE worked there. Blazing red hair, shimmering emerald eyes, and a smile that could make even George Ramesy smile. Her name was Vivian.

The streets of New York are a dangerous place, especially if you are riding a bike. I shook myself out of my daze in time to swerve out of the way of a taxi cab's door that sudenly opened. The occupant flipped me off and said a few things I don't really wanna repeat. I apologised from a distance and after a few minutes, I arrived at my destination.

The small shop really was bigger on the inside, but the way it looked on the outside made it seem that you couldn't fit 3 people side by side in there. With a tap on the red brick in the mostly grey wall, I stepped into the shop. The inside was far more cheery than the dreary feel outside. It was painted in a chocolate brown and yellow lights illuminated the room. In the far corner sat 4 computers for customers to use to surf the web. I had my laptop, so I ordered my drink and sat in the lighter corner near the door. I opened my computer and started browsing youtube for any good pony videos; yeah, imma Brony, get over it. That was also the moment HE entered the small shop.

He wore a dark trench coat with the collar popped and an equally dark fedora, the combination blocking out his features. I thought he was there to rob the place, but no one seemed to even see him as he made his way to me.

'Ohshitohshitohshit!' I thought as he sat down across from me. I sat there in an uncomfortable silence as his hidden eyes felt like they were staring straight into my soul and out the other side.

"I see you like Ponies." He stated, I could feel a sense of satisfaction exude from him after he said that. "I too like the world of Equis. It truly is a remarkable place to visit."

"W-wait..." I stuttered. This guy was seriously STRANGER DANGER level of creepy, but what he just said caught me.

And sinker.

"You've been to Equestria? But it is just a fictional world for a kids show. You can't go there!" I announced to him. People were giving me strange looks. Shit, I was talking too loud again.

"on the contrary" He said, his voice seemed to change constantly. It made it hard to focus on it. "I know a way to travel there, but first I must ask something of you in return." And there it was. The catch.

"What is it?" I asked far too excitedly than I should have.

"I need your help in a little Game that is happening there as we speak. Discord has summoned other humans to Equis in the attempt to make some chaos like usual, only he started up a round of a very ancient Game. One I intend to win. I just need you to go there and stop the other 'Players' from achieving their goals."

"Whoah woah woah," I said. Confused Derek is very confused. "I'll do it, but I gotta know."

"Who are you?"

A bright glowing grin flashed in the darkness on his face and he said. "I am the god of lies and manipulation. I am Deceit." And with that, a large glowing eye appeared above his grin. His coat opened and shadows shot out and engulfed me. Before the shadows overtook my head, I saw that no one at all was moving to help me. It looked like they couldn't see me either.

Buggering hell....
