//-------------------------------------------------------// Fluttershy's Heart -by GoldenChaos- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Fluttershy's Heart //-------------------------------------------------------// Fluttershy's Heart                 Fluttershy frantically ran around her room. Discord was going to be here any minute, and she had nothing to wear! Fluttershy had planned to confess her love. She had realized she had fallen in love with the Lord of Chaos himself.                 A few months ago...                 "Discord! You're back!" exclaimed Fluttershy, with sudden joy she had no explanation for. "Did you bring the cucumber sandwiches?" In his paw appeared some cucumber sandwiches, which he suddenly dropped.                 "This will probably be your last decent meal," said Discord, menacingly. Suddenly, a cage appeared around Fluttershy and her friends, while they shouted in shock and protest. Discord laughed. Fluttershy felt her heart tug. She knew exactly why. Sweet Celestia, I have fallen in love with him, thought Fluttershy.                 "B-But I thought we were friends!" cried Fluttershy, she saw Discord's expression flicker.                 "Oh we were, until Tirek shown me something better than cucumber sandwiches and tea parties," he said coldly. "Surely you saw this coming." Fluttershy started sobbing.                 "I didn't, I truly didn't," cried Fluttershy as Applejack hugged her, glaring at the draconequus.                 Present Day                 When Fluttershy settled with a sapphire encrusted dress, there was a knock on the door. Fluttershy felt extremely excited as she knew who it was.                 "Come in!" She called.                 "My dearest Fluttershy!" Cheered Discord as he teleported in front of her. Fluttershy felt heat rush to her face as his gaze passed over her, causing Fluttershy to blush. "My dear, you look lovely." This comment made her blush harder.                 "Th-Thank you," stuttered Fluttershy. "Would you like some tea?" Discord nodded. "Would you like sugar in it?"                 "Of course, thank you, dear." Fluttershy got two cups and filled them with boiling tea. She sipped her tea, nervously. It's now or never, thought Fluttershy.                 "D-Discord-" Fluttershy was cut off by Discord.                 "Fluttershy, why do you think that Celestia didn't like the flowers I have her after your friends saved Equestria?" interrupted Discord. Fluttershy was really scared of why he cared.                 "I don't know," replied Fluttershy. "Don't mind me saying this, but, I don't see a point on why you mind, as they were for an apology, right?"                 "Yeah," said Discord. Then, he had a cunning look on his face. "Do you have a crush on any pony?" Fluttershy gasped and blushed. "Who is the lucky stallion? I personally have a soft spot for Celestia." Fluttershy gaped at this. W-What?                 "I-I had n-no idea," choked out Fluttershy. Tears formed in the cream colored mare's eyes.                 "Is something wrong?" asked Discord, suddenly noticing the change in her mood. Fluttershy looked up, with fury in her eyes.                 "Discord, I think you should go. I have to do some chores around the house," said Fluttershy, hoping to be left alone with her despair. She lost Discord to Celestia; but she understood. Celestia was a beautiful made with her snowy white fur and rainbow, flowing mane. If only Fluttershy was like Celestia so Discord would love her too!                 "B-But I only got here 10 minutes ago!" protested Discord, thinking it was because of the Tirek incident that was oh so recent. Fluttershy sternly stared at him.                 "Sorry, but I have to do my work," replied Fluttershy, her patients running thin. Why was he making this so difficult?!                 "What has gotten into you," growled Discord as he flashed out of the cottage. Fluttershy then collapsed and fell to the floor, sobbing. Her animals came out and surrounded her, but even they didn't help.             Discord was angered by Fluttershy's mood swings. The afternoon had started out great, until suddenly she forced him away. Discord decided he was going to visit Celestia, even with the recent event plaguing his mind. He flashed into the throne room.           "Greetings, Princess," said Discord, gleeful to see Celestia again.           "Hello, Discord," smiled Celestia, knowing of Discord's obvious feelings for her. She was going to have to tell him that she wasn't interested in him, after all the mistakes he had made, especially when he had played her and toyed with her emotions as if she were a doll.            A thousand years ago....            "Discord, I thought you loved me," cried Celestia. She stared at the chaos surrounding her. Celestia only had told him that she was to be engaged with another stallion for the sake of Equestria, but Discord had taken it very poorly.             "I did, until I found out how shallow you are," replied Discord,"Should've known that you were like the rest; always going to the rich and hoof some stallion!" Celestia felt like crying.             "It's for the safety of Equestria! His kingdom can provide what we need so we can manage our young country." Discord laughed, causing her heart to break, and then suddenly feeling a cold hatred to the draconequus she once loved.            Present Day           "What is it, dearest?" Celestia winced.           "I know of your feelings for me, but," she paused, seeing Discord watch her intently,"I do not share these feelings after you played me oh so many years ago." Discord's ears flattened.           "Surely you known I have changed from that," Discord said, hopefully.           "I know, but I still don't share your feelings," stated Celestia.   "Please, Celestia," pleaded Discord. "Don't do this to me."   "Discord, I told you that I can't feel the same way about you," reminded the white alicorn. "Just go, before you make this issue worse." Discord hung his head in defeat, as he knew his arguing was not getting him anywhere.          "Fluttershy!" cried Rarity, shocked as the buttery yellow mare burst through the doors, crying. "Darling, what is wrong?" Fluttershy sniffed. "It's about D-Discord," replied Fluttershy, stumbling over the name as it was new and hard to pronouce. What did that brute did now? Thought Rarity. "Go on," said Rarity, intent on her story. "W-Well f-first I need to tell you a secret," said Fluttershy, nervously. Rarity gestured with her hoof for Fluttershy to continue."W-Well, y-you see, I, um, um.." "Well?" pressured Rarity, losing patience. Fluttershy felt something snap in her. "I LOVE DISCORD!" screeched Fluttershy. Rarity shrunk back in fright in surprise. "W-Well, darling," Rarity said slowly. "A-Are you upset?" "Not in the slightest. I'm surprised you haven't told me sooner!" exclaimed Rarity, surprising Fluttershy. "We are best friends, Fluttershy. This is great! But, why were you crying?" "I-I was getting to that," said Fluttershy. "Discord came to m-my cottage, and we had our tea. But, then he asked who my crush was, and he revealed that he had one on Celestia." Rarity's gaze saddened. "And then I sent him away, out of my pain." Fluttershy started sobbing once again. "Oh, goodness Fluttershy!" Rarity exclaimed. "I'm sorry about what he did to you." Fluttershy nodded. Rarity was never going to let Discord hurt her anymore. Discord flashed outside of Fluttershy's cottage. He knocked, and waited. No answer. "Fluttershy? Are you in there?" the door swung open, and Discord was greeted by Angel, who glared at him. "Is Fluttershy here?" the rabbit shook his head, continuing glaring. "Well, here, I will let you speak," Discord snapped his talons and then Angel found himself able to speak. "Where is Fluttershy?" "Why should I tell you after the pain you caused her?" snapped Angel, pleased with the fact Discord didn't make his voice strange and squeaky, like he usually probably would. "What pain?!" growled Discord as he lifted the white rabbit, who chattered in protest. "You don't know? What a GREAT friend you must be to her," seethed Angel. "You broke her heart." Discord was confused. "Please, just tell me where she is," said Discord, making his tone softer. Angel found it tempting to tell him, but realized he would just upset Fluttershy even more if he found out. "No," said Angel. Then, Discord flashed up a carrot. Angel eyed it longingly, but shook his head. Ten carrots. Angel sighed. "Fine, Fluttershy is at Rarity's place, who ran while sobbing. You better fix the problem you created." "Thank you!" said Discord gleefully, but was confused at this "problem" he made. He flashed to the place.           There was a knock on the door. Rarity looked up from Fluttershy, who she still hugging. "I will be right back, darling," said Rarity as she walked to the door. She opened it and gasped. "D-Discord, what are you doing here?" Rarity's tone became more harsh. "Angel told me Fluttershy was here," replied Discord. Rarity thought, how could a rabbit talk? But then pushed the thought away. "She's here, alright, seethed Rarity,"Fluttershy came sobbing about what you have done!" Discord was now annoyed. "What 'problem' have I caused? All I did was come to her cottage and then ask who her crush was, and told her mine!" Discord exclaimed, oblivious of how his crush caused Fluttershy to be broken, as she was in love with the draconequus. "R-Rarity, I-I can d-deal with this," stammered a soft voice from inside. Rarity was about to protest, but a yellow mare pushed her to the side before a sound came out. "D-Discord, why are you here?" "Well, I wanted to know why you made me leave so soon," replied Discord, worried. "What did I do? Did I ruin our friendship?" Fluttershy flinched at the word friend. "W-Well, what you said hurt me," replied Fluttershy. "It caused us a problem, which I am still upset about." "WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYPONY?!" screeched Discord, who snapped. "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG! WHY DID I WASTE MY TIME WITH SUCH A STUPID MARE?!" Fluttershy shrank back and sobbed. Discord could have kicked himself. What happened to him? "D-Discord, just leave me," started Fluttershy. "Leave me forever. We are no longer friends." Discord gasped. "W-What, Fluttershy, I didn't mean-" he was interrupted by the door slamming. He flashed away, sadly. ' Discord sadly walked around the Everfree forest. Why had he said that? Discord hadn't had any intentions to hurt Fluttershy. His heart tugged. What was this feeling? It wasn't normal for just losing a friend. What was this? "Darn it! What has become of me?" said Discord aloud. Just two years ago he would have laughed at himself, spreading chaos, but Fluttershy came into his life, and he felt happier than ever before. Her shining eyes reflecting an ocean. Fluttershy's beautiful, wavy pink mane. Her- Discord cut himself off. There must have been something wrong with him. Discord decided to visit that zebra. What was her name? Oh, Zecora, he thought. He flashed himself to her hut and knocked on the door. Zecora opened the door. "Oh, it is the Lord of Chaos himself," started Zecora, then she saw his expression. "What inconvenience happened to yourself?" Discord explained while Zecora listened to every word, and came down to a conclusion, but she needed to prove it. "Come, I need to make a special brew, especially for you." explained Zecora, as she used Heart's Desire flower. This would show what Discord's heart wanted, and if her suspicions were true. Zecora threw in more flowers for the brew, and then mixed it. "What is going on? I don't like secrets," said Discord, narrowing his eyes. Zecora ignored him and muttered Zebrican chants to enchant the brew she was creating. Then, she got a cup and put the purple liquid which was the potion in it. "Take this cup and drink, and then think," started Zecora,"Then say what you find in your mind." Discord eyed the potion warily. One look from Zecora told him he was fine, and then he drank it. Discord thought. One think came to his mind. "Fluttershy," said Discord blindly. "I need Fluttershy." Zecora raised an eyebrow. Go on, she willed to him. "I-I l-love Fluttershy." Discord seemed scared as he said this. "I-I love Fluttershy. I LOVE FLUTTERSHY!" The realization hit Discord. Zecora smiled. She had known all along. "Ah, so you know," grinned Zecora. "But, time has a lot to show. Now, you must go." "Can you stop rhyming?" asked Discord, annoyed. "Nope," Discord rolled his mismatched eyes. He walked out of the hut. Discord knew now. He was in love with Fluttershy. But, he stupidly lost her earlier that day. Discord sighed. How would a beautiful mare with her silkey, pink mane, lovely coat of the sunset, and ocean blue eyes love a monster like him? Fluttershy sadly looked around in the moonlight. It was nighttime now, and she decided a stroll by the Everfree Forest will cheer her up after what had happened earlier. She still loved Discord, but he had caused her too much pain. He probably despised her. Rarity had told all of her friends what had happened. Rainbow and Applejack swore to beat him up. Twilight was outraged, but quickly calmed down. Pinkie didn't seem to notice. Suddenly, Fluttershy heard a crack. There was a horrid stench of rotting meat in the air. Fluttershy's muzzle wrinkled. "H-Hello?" called Fluttershy. She screamed as two timberwolves jumped out of the forest, at Fluttershy. "Oh my goodness!" Fluttershy tried to fly, but her wings were plastered in place out of fear. Oh, darn her dumb wings. Fluttershy cried out in pain as a wolf bit down on her leg. Fluttershy wished more than ever that she was with Discord, safely. Discord was lying in a flower bed, in the middle of the Everfree Forest. All the animals in the dark forest were afraid of him, so Discord was safe. He plucked a yellow flower, and was reminded of Fluttershy. He wondered how she was, if she had forgotten him and was happily with her animals. The moonlight shown on the ground before him. Luna had made a perfectly clear night. Then, Discord heard a scream in the distance. He shot up, and wove through the trees, to find the source. He heard sobbing as he got closer. "F-Fluttershy?" he stammered, though the mare didn't hear him. On top of her was a timberwolf. Discord growled and leapt on it, angered how it had hurt his Fluttershy. "HOW DARE YOU HURT HER?!" screeched Discord, who slashed at the wolf, causing it to shatter. The other timberwolf leapt on Discord from behind and bit him. Discord yelped in pain. "D-D-Discord!" cried Fluttershy. Discord wheeled around on the wolf. It was larger than the other wolf. Discord hissed in hatred. The wolf growled. The wolf quickly bit Discord in the neck. Discord suddenly felt dizzy. The woif turned to Fluttershy to kill her. Discord saw this. "DON'T YOU DARE!" Discord tore the wolf stick by stick. Then, he stepped back from the pile of sticks. Discord collapsed. "No! Discord!' Fluttershy ran to Discord and took his paw. "F-Fluttershy, I will be fine," said Discord, as he sat up. "I have magic, my dear." He healed himself with the magic. "Y-You saved my life," stated Fluttershy, but she winced in pain. Fluttershy looked at her injury. Discord followed her gaze and snapped. The bite was gone! "Thank you, Discord." "It was nothing, really," Silence. Then, Discord cleared his throat. "W-Well, I have a confession to make, Fluttershy." "I do too," said Fluttershy, and she gestured for Discord to go first. "W-Well, you s-see, F-Fluttershy," stuttered Discord. This was going to be harder than he thought. "I love you." Silence again. Then, cries. "I love you too, Discord!" she hugged him. Suddenly, Discord pressed his muzzle against hers. Fluttershy was shocked by the kiss at first, but then melted into it.
