CMC Babysitters

The CMC trotted over to Twilight's castle, chatting with excitement.

"I'm glad Twilight still wants to spend time with us after that Twilight Time incident," Sweetie Belle said. "It was really nice of her to help us. Maybe with her help, we might one day get our cutie marks."

"But did you hear about the new baby?" Scootaloo asked. "I heard that her name was Flurry Heart and that she shattered the crystal heart!"

"Really?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Yeah, and Twilight was there too! I bet she knows even more about what happened!" With that, the three fillies picked up their pace and ran to Twilight's castle.

"Twilight! Twilight!" Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle barged into the castle. Twilight was sorting out some books to donate to Cheerilee, so she could use them to help her students learn. Some of the books fell off the table due to the air that flew in.

"Be careful, girls!" Twilight warned, levitating the books back on the counter. "Do you need something?"

"Can you tell us more about what happened in the Crystal Empire?" The fillies asked in unison.

"Oh, you want to learn about what happened there?" Twilight asked, surprised for just a moment.

The fillies nodded their head eagerly. "Yes, please!"

"If that's what you came here for, then alright," Twilight said with a smile as she began to tell the fillies about what happened at the Crystal Empire.

...

"... And then that's how we fixed the crystal heart. In remembrance of the event, we named the foal Flurry Heart," Twilight finished.

"Wow, that was amazing!" Scootaloo exclaimed. The door to the castle swung open. Cadence stepped inside and approached Twilight.

"Twilight!" Cadence began. "There's a huge emergency, and I need you now!"

"What is it?" Twilight asked with worry.

"Flurry has caused a little trouble with the yaks from Yakyakistan, and I need you to help me settle the issue with me."

"Why can't Shining Armor do it?" Twilight asked.

"He visiting your parents in Canterlot. I thought he deserved a break after all the work he's been doing lately," Cadence replied.

"What did Flurry do?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"She knocked over some valuables the yaks kept with her wings," Cadence replied. "And I need somepony to babysit her."

"We can do it!" The three fillies said in unison.

"Are you sure? I mean, Flurry's a princess, and with all the trouble she had caused already, I don't think it would be safe..." Twilight said. "Cadence, can't you ask a servant to take  care of her?"

"Not when all of them are extremely terrified of her. Especially with those wings. But we have no time, and they're the only ones who are willing to," Cadence said with worry, her face looking desperate.

Twilight was caught in a dilemma, but after a moment, she finally said, "alright then... But if anything wrong happens, call us immediately. And remember that the castle staff will be there to watch over you, so if you have any problems, as well."

"Don't worry, Twilight. We all just earned our babysitting badges. Our sisters would be fine with sending us," Sweetie Belle assured.

"Yeah. We'll pack a few  things for the baby and ask for permission. We'll be back in about an hour," Scootaloo said. She and her friends dashed out the castle doors, eager to get everything ready.

Back at Sweet Apple Acres, Apple Bloom came inside the farm where her sister was working.

"Hey Applejack, can I ask you something?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Sure, Apple Bloom," Applejack answered.

"Can I go to the Crystal Empire to babysit the new baby?" Apple Bloom asked.

"All by yourself?" Applejack asked.

"No, me and my friends, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, are coming," Apple Bloom answered. "Twilight said that the castle staff will also be there to watch over us, too," Apple Bloom replied.

"Well, you have been responsible lately doing chores around the farm, so I guess I'll let you go," Applejack decided.

"Thanks, Applejack! You're the best sister ever!" Apple Bloom gave her sister a hug.

"No problem, sugar cube," Applejack said before her younger sister ran out of the barn.

Apple Bloom went into her room to pack. She knew she was only going to stay there for one day, and the castle staff will provide the meals. Apple Bloom knew that Flurry probably had a lot of royal toys to play with, but Apple Bloom thought that she could bring a few of her personal favorites since she was a little foal to interest Flurry in something new.

Apple Bloom took her favorite stuffed animal, Apples. She reminisced the times of fun she had with the toy. Apple Bloom tossed it in her saddlebag. She tossed in a few rattles, a stuffed apple, and all sorts of other things she had when she was a foal.

"Huh, what's this?" Apple Bloom wondered aloud. She examined the doll that she just picked up. "Isn't this Twilight's Smarty Pants doll? I guess Flurry would enjoy it, anyways." With that, Apple Bloom tossed the old doll into her saddlebag. "Now to meet the others."

In the Carousel Boutique, Rarity was adding the finishing touches to her newest dress she was working on.

"Rarity!" Sweetie Belle called out, coming into her home.

"What has got you all excited, Sweetie Belle?" Rarity asked.

"Twilight asked me and the crusaders to babysit Flurry from the Crystal Empire! Can I go? Please, please, please!" Sweetie Belle said.

" flurry Heart? Hmm... Well, alright. You have earned your babysitting badge after all, so I guess you're responsible enough to babysit Flurry," Rarity answered.

"Thanks, Rarity!" Sweetie Belle gave her sister a quick hug and dashed off to her room.

Sweetie Bell packed all of her stuffed toys. There were so many, that she even forgot the names of some of them. Her bag was threatening to burst with the amount of things packed in it. Rarity had always lectured Sweetie Belle about keeping too many things that needed to be cleared out. Sweetie Belle decided to give half of her stuffed animal collection away to Flurry.

"Bye, Rarity! Sweetie Belle called out to her sister.

"Be careful!" Rarity called back. Sweetie Belle trotted out of the door, eager to meet up with her friends.

At the train station, The CMC actively chatted with each other.

"What did your parents say, Scootaloo?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"They didn't say anything because they were too busy as usual. But Rainbow Dash was babysitting me, and she said I could go," Scootaloo replied.

Th train finally arrived, and all the ponies waiting boarded it. The train chugged all the way to the Crystal Empire, where it screeched to a halt. All the passengers exited, including the CMC.

"Follow me, girls," Twilight said. She and Cadence were walking in the direction the of the crystal castle, with the young fillies following right behind.

"Wow..." Scootaloo commented as she took in the sight.  The crystals all shimmered and reflected the light, giving the castle its beauty. Childish sounds came from one of the hallways.

Twilight and the CMC followed Cadence, who lead them into Flurry's room. The younger princess giggled and chewed on her pillow. Cadence used her magic to remove the pillow from Flurry's mouth, but Flurry didn't mind as soon as she saw the new faces entering into the room.

"Aww," the CMC said togther. "She's adorable."
