The Final Survivors

My name is Ripple. I'm light gray with a blue and purple mane. My mommy is all the colors. We live on the ground in a nice house. My mommy gave me a really pretty necklace. It's golden with a red jewel in the middle. Mommy cooks breakfast when the sun is orange and her mane glows. It's really  pretty. Mommy asks to go for walks sometimes. I say okay and she leaves. But one day was different.

Mommy went for a walk but was gone a really long time. I went to look for her. I walk through the woods and see mommy's shadow. But it's in the air. On a rope. Around her neck. I stare and cry. But the love of my life comes to my aid.
