It’s elegant, it’s formal, it’s…..so not me. Man you stick around those kids as long as I do and you’ll eventually end up talking like that too.” “Anyway, your trip?” “Oh yea, I’m so ready to meet up with my parents again. How long has it been, five years now?” “Yep, five years since we left, five years since we married huh?” “And a beautiful day that was.” “Semi-beautiful, semi.” “Oh don’t be like that, it was pretty awesome to me.” “Having the bride light a row of candles ten feet in the air as a wedding reception was not awesome to me.” “Well..” “You almost burned down the entire place.” “...Are you gonna keep judging me or help me pack.” The next 30 minutes, Fizzle and Lavender spent packing her luggage. As they exited the house, Lavender turned away from the direction of the train station. “I have a couple of things to do first. “Why didn’t you do that before we only have five minutes.” “I can make it, Rainbow dash taught me how to get things done fast.” Lavender took off in a burst of speed around a corner making Fizzle put a hoof to his forehead. “No matter how mature she acts, she’s still the same old Lavender on the inside." After Lavender said goodbye to all her friends, she finally made her appearance at the train station 10 minutes later. There she found her train and on board, Fizzle arguing with the conductor. "Look sir, I can't keep this train docked her any longer I have to get moving." "If you could hold on for five more minutes I swear she'll be here." "No way, everypony is getting impatient back there. Either you get off right now, or pay up and take your seat." "Is there anything I can do to make you wait...oh here she is now." "So you're the lucky lady who's been holding up this train for the last 5 minutes?" "I'm terribly sorry sir it's just.." "Don't wanna hear it, just take your seat already." Lavender planted a kiss on Fizzle's cheek as she boarded. The horn sounded departure and the train was on it's way. Lavender stared out of the window with her mind to the clouds and her eyes to the snowy scenery. Feels like it's been ages since i saw them. I bet they're still way too happy like they were before. Honestly as sick as it made me, I kinda miss all that. Ah the trouble dad and I would end up in, of course the scolding from mom wasn't worth sneaking into Twilight's library and rearranging all her books. I hope they're waiting right there at the train station for me, don't worry mom and dad, I can't wait to see you too. The ride seemed to drag on for ages eventually luring Lavender to sleep until the conductor's voice slowly etched into her mind. "...Sto......Last sto.....Last stop for Ponyville." Lavender dropped out her alluring nap straight onto the ground. She quickly fumbled for her bag and hopped off the train. She held her hoofs out, eyes closed, assuming a hug was in the near future. "Mom! Dad!" She continued to keep her eyes closed for a few moments until finally when no hug was received, she popped them open. There was no one there to greet here, not even Spike's friends. Her expression almost turned to sorrow when her mind forced her back into a sense of happiness. "Maybe they're setting up for a party somewhere. If I know Pinkie Pie, she's probably throwing one for me. Sweet!" Lavender quickly ran towards the rest of Ponyville aiming her sights directly at sugarcube corner. She busted through the door cheering like there's no tomorrow. "Aunt Pinkie Pie!" https://img.youtube.com/vi/QN0MZRmAcRE/mqdefault.jpg Pinkie Pie sat at the counter, eyes closed, deflated hair, and constantly rubbing one spot with a rag. Her eyes only halfway opened to look at her properly named niece. She shot a half smile and returned to cleaning the counter. "Sorry I couldn't really get you anything for your coming home party, it's been.....busy around here." "But....there's no one here." "Sure there is." She pointed to Ms. Cake in the back of the shop. "Pinkie is there something wrong? You're hair..it's deflated." "I can't talk now, gotta alot of work to do." With that she vanished into the back of the shop leaving Lavender to wonder. "What just happened? Maybe Fluttershy will know what's going on with her." She quickly made her way to Fluttershy's home, having repeatedly knocked on the door, she only received Fluttershy's cries as an answer. "Fluttershy what's wrong?" Her cries grew louder and louder eventually scaring her animals into a frenzy. On that note, Lavender left before more damage could be done heading over to Applejack's farm next. Big Mac wouldn't even let the Dracony in to see her stating that she was too upset. Same with Rainbow who lay upon a storm cloud sulking. "Ok this is getting weird, someone has got to know what happened." "I think I can answer that." Lavender turned to face Twilight, a trusted and loyal friend to Spike. The Dracony examined her closely noting the tear stained cheeks. "You've all been crying for some reason, can someone just tell me already." "It's best you hear it from Rarity herself." Lavender and Twilight inched their way to her mom's boutique which was in terrible condition and had a closed sign slapped on it. "Wow, whatever it was must have been bad for mom to just give up on fashion." As they approached the door, it was slightly cracked open. Twilight gently pushed it open with her hoof and motioned Lavender inside. "You'll find her upstairs." "Um..ok." Lavender took tiny steps inside observing the disarray of the shop. String and fabric scattered here and dresses and pony models strolled out there. The shop was a complete disaster to which was uncommon of Rarity's character. She approached the steps and put one claw on the first step. It was cold as if someone hadn't been in the home at all. She took more steps up and found herself at Rarity's door, a cold and dense atmosphere dropping over here like a veil. The young Dracony creaked the door open and peered inside. There was Rarity, sitting still as stone in her bed. "Mom..." "The covers shifted for a minute, until Rarity poked her head out. "Lavender D...Darling is that you?" "Yes mom, I'm back." "Oh honey you must let me see you." "Can't you get up?" "It's...momentarily out of the question." Lavender stepped to the side of the bed as Rarity reached to hug her. "Oh how you've grown." https://camo.derpicdn.net/5895fbe26e75f6fc2f0ae56734c9e0fdd43752b0?url=https%3A%2F%2F68.media.tumblr.com%2F716b4179a78ed3aecd2c5d9a4dcb7cbc%2Ftumblr_ookev2rLsb1tl7il1o1_500.png Lavender enjoyed the hug while she could before realizing what changes her mother has undergone. "Mom! What happened? Your beautiful glowing appearance is so messed up. Seriously why are you so dark?" Sad Rarity (http://orig03.deviantart.net/80c3/f/2013/054/1/d/rarity___sad_by_manipulatedangel-d5vy32f.png) "Well see here dear, there's something....important I need to tell you." "Don't stall mom, everyone's been on the edge for some reason and I would just love to know why." Though her body was weak, Rarity escorted Lavender down to the kitchen and sat her down. "I want you to do your best to understand what happened, please no tantrums or breaking my house, alright?" "Yea sure, come on please tell me." "Hehe, as impatient as always I see but this might be information you might want to recollect yourself for.......Me...and...your father..." "Mom?" "Me.. and your father have decided to take a break....it's possible a finalized divorce may be in the future." Lavender jumped out of her seat in anger and in sadness. "What! no no no no no, this can't be happening. How can you be breaking up!" Rarity gasped as her fist ended up the ground creating a perfect hole. "Dear there was nothing we could do to avoid this." Lavender returned to her chair and firmly pointed at her mother. "I..I want to know what happened...Right now." Author's Note So I know it doesn't compare up to the original story but I tried my best to match up to him. Tell me what you think. //-------------------------------------------------------// Their vows were a lie //-------------------------------------------------------// Their vows were a lie https://img.youtube.com/vi/2R77O3IqddE/mqdefault.jpg "Calm down dear, there's no need to get so worked up." Lavender pounded the table in frustration. "Are you kidding me? You tell me that you and dad are taking a break and expect me not to get mad. What if you two divorce? I don't want to lose both of you, I want us as a family." "And we still are hun, just a little time apart and we'll be that family again." "Stop spitting lies mom....just tell me what happened." "Well um.....see two years ago is when everything started to deteriorate. I had a big project for an important client that I couldn't pass up. During my work, however, Spike found himself in a sensual mood. I politely asked him to stop any progress towards his current thoughts and agreed. Unfortunately, this went on for the remainder of a year. Last year is when things got hectic. We repeatedly found ourselves in arguments over every little thing we could try and the last one we had seemed to seal the deal....oh boy...." "I know it hurts mom but please keep going." "........I...he...." Rarity once again found tears streaming down her cheeks as the thoughts flooded her mind. "After our last....fight....I found...found out that he was.....hanging out with that demon of a dragon lord, Ember." "Ember? Princess Ember?" "Yes...Princess Ember." "Hey she sounds familiar...Oh yea..." "What?" "Dad may have sent a letter or two about her." "What! So he was cheating on me even before he started taking trips there." "Cheating? Mom, dad has loved you since he first stepped claw in here, what makes you think he's cheating." "Well why don't you ask him yourself, that jerk is in the dragon lands with that broad anyway. I swear he is the worst, Unsophisticated pile of.." "Mom! Please stop talking like that, please. I'm going to fix this, you hear me? No way you guys can just break up after all you've been through." "Maybe it's for the best dear, there's no spark between us anymore." Without warning, Lavender grabbed the wooden table off all fours and slammed it into a wall. "No! I refuse to believe. You guys still love each other, I just know it. You wanna know how I know? Look right in front of you." Rarity just stared in shock, mainly because of her table but at how dedicated Lavender was. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get the story out of dad, maybe put the pieces together...Mom, I love you...and if you love me, you'll work it out." Lavender slowly walked out and shut the door leaving Rarity to think to herself. Lavender only got a few feet away before Twilight flashed in front of her. "I assume you guys had a good talk." "Hardly.....Twilight, I want to go see my dad. Can you send me to the dragon lands?" "Of course." "But before you do, can I ask a favor?" "Sure." "Please cheer everyone up, it's too sad and gloomy around here for Ponyville. Tell everyone I'm getting my family back together, lift their spirits." "That should do the job, please Lavender get them to talk. I can't stand seeing these two in such a fit, especially Spike. I've know him since he hatched and it breaks my heart to see him like this. Can I ask you that favor as well?" "You bet." "Alright get ready." A small of string of magic energy seeped from her horn and circled Lavender. The string grew bigger each time it went around her faster and faster. The string transformed into a sphere surrounded her and lifting her a clear ten feet into the air. The sphere suddenly shrunk and shrunk until just vanished. "Good luck." https://img.youtube.com/vi/BeEDQMLtyGY/mqdefault.jpg The sphere appeared atop and flat area amongst the mountains. It lowered to ground and dissipated. As Lavender's senses came back to her, she took in all the scenery and sounds of the mountains and the dragons. One big, one small, one gigantic, one yellow, one brown, so many different dragons. Lavender's curiosity was overshadowed by her need to find her father and so she set off to the nearest dragon. "Excuse me sir, do you by any chance know where Princess Ember is?" The red dragon just stared down at her. "What?" "Princess Ember? Do you know where she is?" The dragon took two big steps towards her angrily asked again. "What did you say?" "Um....Princess....Ember?" "Ember....Don't think I know anyone by that name but that's not a good topic anyway. A good topic is asking what the heck you are?" "What do you mean?" "Well you're not any dragon I've seen, you're small like a runt I knew a while back but you have the features of a pony." "Well yea, I was born from a dragon and a pony, a Dracony." "Dracony?" The dragon instantly shot onto his back and began laughing hysterically. "Oh that's a good one, hahaha. So what do you eat animals then read them a bed time story." "Um no, what does that have to do with anything?" "Or maybe you breath magical butterflies." "Sir can you please answer my question?" "Hahaha, alright fine but first answer mine." "Ok." "What made you think....you were welcome here?" "I beg your pardon." "Dragons don't like pony's, simple as that. Even a hybrid half pony like yourself deserves to get smashed into little paste." "Don't tell that discrimination is still going on." "Discrimination? ha! It's the law of the food chain little dragon. We eat you, you run away. Of course the natural way of things changed when that runt came along for the ride. What was his name? Small, crybaby, hadn't even gotten his height in yet. Oh yea Spike." Lavender's claws dug into the ground as she heard the red dragon continue his put downs on her father. "Weak, always going on about friendship, and..." "Stop it.." "The red dragon looked down at her in confusion. "Wanna repeat that?" Her eyes began to glow from a purple to a green in mere seconds. "Stop talking about my dad!" She jumped on the dragon and began clawing at his face. He violently staggered back, seeing as how he was only a few feet bigger than Lavender himself, and slammed into a wall. All nearby dragons watched in amazement as Lavender delivered her ferocious attack. It was then tat familiar echoed from the skies. "Lavender stop!" Lavender looked to the skies to see her father climbing down from a nearby mountain. "Please remove your claws from Garble's face." She jumped down and watched as Spike approached them. "Dad you're here." "Garble I told you about your bullying. Considering the circumstance is my daughter, I have every right to beat you senseless but I have a heart. Leave...now!" Garble quickly picked himself and flew off. "Lavender are you okay?" https://img.youtube.com/vi/jbtel9K6fVY/mqdefault.jpg "Yea...I could have taken you know." "Sure you could. Come here and give me a hug dummy." Spike embraced Lavender as she came in for best hug she's even given him. "It's so good to see you after all these years....and I wish it were on better terms." "What do you....oh...let's talk back at my cave." Spike picked her up and plopped her on his back. He began climbing up the nearest mountain jumping to another as he reached the top and another as he reached the top of that one. Eventually after two or three more jumps, he landed inside a cave a mile away from their meeting point. His room was surprisingly furnished for a cave. There was a bed in a corner of the room with red sheets and white pillows. Adjacent to the bed was a glorious golden mirror, three diamonds sat at the top and tiled floor surrounded it with purple drapes behind it. Wow, different from what I've heard from Twilight. She said that dragons like to sleep on the ground in these cold caves." "Well technically it is, still cold." "Right, so...that talk?" "Right, sit down." Lavender positioned herself on the bed to lay down. "So..explain." "Explain what?" "Dad." "Ok ok, me and your mother right?" "Yes." "So I don't know exactly what she told you but my version makes more sense, I think." "I imagine." "So here goes. Two years ago we were doing just fine. There was one particular day that i felt as if we needed some time alone so I tried to get her in the mood." "So mom was right, every time you interrupted her you were just trying to get some." "What did she tell you? No, only the first time. I understood that her client was the top priority so I left her alone but after a while it seemed as if she was wrapped up in her work. She wasn't even working for that client anymore, and it just felt like every moment of every day was work. Not time for me at all. So here and there I tried to get her mind off of work but just ended up making her mad or breaking things. We had an argument every day over small things, and then the spark just..went out. I began seeing people for counseling. Twilight, Pinkie,Rainbow,Applejack,Fluttershy and eventually Ember..but.." "Mom thinks you're cheating on her." "And this all is what I tried to explain to her, but no, she just kept interrupting me and assuming things. It was our last fight that we finally decided on a break....Lavender." Lavender sat in silence, her head tucked into her arms. "Lavender?" https://img.youtube.com/vi/yLdUmu0-akQ/mqdefault.jpg "......It's ok dad..." "Honey I..." "At least your story makes more sense. Any chance we could get some comfort food?" "Yea, but before that, I need to give you something." "What?" Spike made his way over to the mirror and pulled out a chair from behind the drapes. "Sit down." "I'm not getting a make over am I?" "No I'm a dragon, what makes you think I'm good at something like that unless you want to end up in the rodeo." "Good point." Lavender made her way into the chair and looked at herself in the mirror. "So what's the surprise." "Hold on....give me a second....Close your eyes." Lavender did just that and felt something come around her neck. "Dad what's going on?" "Shh Lavender I'm concentrating...and..there. Open them. "Oh..my god dad....it's so pretty..." Lavender's present (http://orig10.deviantart.net/3f38/f/2013/029/2/e/heirloom_by_siansaar-d5t6e3k.jpg) "Just like you honey. Now let's eat." "So does this mean you'll at least work this out with mom?" "Well actually.." "Cause family shouldn't fight like this." "Honey i'm.." "Mom will understand why things are so bad." "Lavender!" Lavender turned to face him with concern. "Yes dad." "I'm.....not going back to your mother." "..............What?...What?!" "See I've found more of a spark between me and Ember than I ever did with Rarity." "How...can..you...say that! So what your love never meant anything? What about me huh? Do I just not count?" "No honey, I was going to ask if you wanted to stay with me but.." Lavender let the most blood curdling growl. "Are you kidding me?! No I want you and mom not just one of you." Tears began welling up in her eyes as she back up to the cave entrance. "I loved you dad, I really did. But if you can't find a way to mom again then you can't have a daughter." She hopped out of the cave pouring out streams of tears. Spike at on his bed and held his hand to his face. "What have I done?" //-------------------------------------------------------// When Life get's real..punch it..in the face //-------------------------------------------------------// When Life get's real..punch it..in the face https://img.youtube.com/vi/Ydz1PlNE1Xg/mqdefault.jpg Lavender sat in the back of Twilight's library balling her eyes out. Applejack and Twilight just sat staring at the makeshift pillow fortress Lavender had encased herself in. Applejack attempted to reach inside to nudge her only to feel a slight pain in her hoof making her jerk back. Twilight stopped her from trying again and just sat down in front of the fort. "Lavender..what's wrong, you've been in here all day." "Leave me alone.." "I think it would be more beneficial if you just let us talk to you instead of biting us." "I see no reason to leave my domain, please if you would, I would love to be with thoughts in silence." Applejack just stared at Twilight a with confused look. "Why you talking like that sugar?" "Talking like what my dear?" Twilight just sighed and used her magic to quickly dismantle the pillow fortress. "It only hurts if you keep it in Lavender." ".........Fine.....After you sent me to the Dragon Lands and I got into a fight with a dragon named Garble. I met my detestable father....um sorry, the way my mom talks kinda shifts in and out when I'm....emotional. So me and my dad talked about the situation and I actually understood why they broke up in the first place. If only they could convey that to each other, I was sure they could get back together but.." "But?" Applejack put her hoof around Lavender and spoke softly. "No need to hold back, I reckon it can't be that bad." "Get ready to be surprised. Spike actually was brave enough to say, in front of his own daughter, that he found more in common with that..that....detestable, uncultured, unrefined, disgraceful abomination!" Applejack rocked her side to side which seemed to calm her down. "Calm down sugar, best you don't let Rarity take over here." "Ok...ok, i'm good stop rocking me please. He wants to stay with Dragon lord Ember. (Sigh of relief)" Applejack held her head in thought. "Dragon Lord Ember? Isn't that the light blue dragon who visited when Spike was still a little shorter." Twilight nodded slowly. "If that's the case, why fight it?" Lavender returned to all fours as she stared Twilight straight in the eyes. "What do you mean why fight it?" Twilight backed up far before she spoke another word. "Well instinctively speaking, Spike may feel the urge of a dragoness instead of a pony, I mean he is a male dragon and as a male dragon, a female dragon is usually the first choice." "So what're saying Twilight? Are you saying my dear dad should've been with that uncouth dragon in the first place?" "Well no I was just explaining dragon instincts to you, not implying that he should.." "Shut it magic worm. You said enough, I'm grabbing my stuff and leaving. Maybe they'll be better off without each other." Lavender picked up her and flipped it onto her back as she headed for the door. Applejack attempted to stop her advance only to be slowly pushed back as Lavender received no resistance. "Please just hold ya horses, that's not what she meant." "You're not changing my mind." Applejack slid to the ground with a sigh watching Lavender walk by and open the door. "I bid you farewell." The door slammed shut knocking dozens of books of the shelf's making Twilight grunt in anger. Applejack just stared at Twilight with an annoyed look. "Really?...Really?....Instincts? Instead of helping her through it, you give her a scientific answer." "Just don't Applejack, I know what I've done wrong. Just go stop here before she makes a huge mistake. Get her to Pinkie's, I'm sure she'll keep her occupied." "Well then I best be gettin along." Applejack quickly galloped into the streets after Lavender tackling her on approach. "Let's not be hasty now, we still have a surprise for you." "Applejack let go of me!" "Not until we talk this little mishap out." Lavender's eyes turned to green once more as she struggled in Applejack's grasp. "I...said...let me....go!" A strong burst of energy sent AJ flying into a bush as Lavender got up and walked off. She got up from her leafy cushion and sighed. "Didn't want to have to do this but you left me no choice sugar." Applejack removed a rope from the side of a building and tied in a way only she knew. After tightening the knot, she picked it up and began spinning it around and around, forming a lasso as she began trotting towards Lavender again. After reaching only a few feet away, she let the lasso go and trapped Lavender in the rope dropping her to ground. "What the? What cruel act of trickery is this?!" "You're are not going anywhere until you say bye to Pinkie Pie even if I have to drag you there." "Applejack let me....ugh fine." Applejack happily trotted to Sugarcube corner, rope in tow with Lavender in it. She slid her inside and called out. "Pinkie, she's here!" A flash of Pink flew by Lavender's face as she now stood face to face with Pinkie Pie who was giving her the most serious look ever. Lavender just awkwardly chuckled as she back up a little. "Pinkie are you..ok?" "Oh yea, i'm ok alright. Just peachy..wanna know why I'm so peachy?" "I'm afraid to ask." "Because you have done something no one can overlook, something that you need to answer for." "Let's try to remember I'm the daughter of Spike and Rarity here, I have rights." "Well duh!" "What?....Did I miss something besides the despair I feel right now." "Silly Dracony, this is the surprise party." "Surprise?...for what?" "For Spike and Rarity of course." Lavender's gaze shot towards the ground, tapping her claws together in a nervous manner. "Pinkie about my mom and dad." "Where is the lovely couple huh, outside. Ooh maybe they're going to surprise the surprise by surprising the surprise." "Pinkie I.." "What should I have got them, maybe a bouquet of rocks or flowers, you know the whole dragon or pony thing." Applejack slapped a piece of tape over Pinkie's mouth who was still trying to talk. "Pinkie be quiet for ten seconds and let Lavender get out what she has to." Pinkie removed the tape from mouth with a big smile. "Okie dokie." Lavender untied and sat herself down at a nearby table. "Mom..and...dad..aren't getting back together." Pinkie began to lose her vibrant pink color as her smile turned to blank. "What?" "Uh...not getting back together...finished...over." Pinkie's hair deflated as she stared at the ground. "Oh..ok you two, I guess you can come out now." Rainbow and Fluttershy slowly emerged from their hiding spots with looks of sorrow. Fluttershy was on full blast with tears soaking Rainbow's mane as she cried into it. "So it's true, Spike and Rarity aren't getting back together?" Rainbow tried to fight back a tear with all she had. "You gotta be kidding me. They're gonna split, just like that?" Lavender sluggishly nodded. "Yep. Spike's words. He's gonna give up my mom and go marry some dragon name Ember." Rainbow put her hoof to her chin in thought. "Ember..Ember...isn't that the former dragon lord's daughter that Spike had a crush on before he dated Rarity." Applejack nodded and removed her hat. "And I reckon he still had that crush even through marriage." Lavender got up and headed towards the door. "Well doesn't matter now. I don't have a reason to be here now." https://img.youtube.com/vi/WWh-mirPdlg/mqdefault.jpg Suddenly Pinkie's vibrant color and hair returned to normal as she pulled Lavender back into the store. "Don't you dare deny your destiny." "Destiny? I hardly think it's destiny to get my parents back together." "What did I just say? Don't you dare deny destiny because destiny is what's gonna help you." "You're....Wait what?" "Destiny is what drives us. Destiny is what makes you get back up after you get knocked down. Destiny is what keeps my cupcakes sweet and intense. Destiny is what keeps Applejack's apples...apple and stuff. Destiny.." "Pinkie....Pinkie are you even listening." Lavender didn't receive a reply as Pinkie just went on and on. "Uh guys is she going somewhere with this?" Rainbow put her hoof around Lavender's shoulder and turned her away from the door. "I have no idea where she is going but I do know what she is trying to say. Basically you can't give up kid. When I was faced with challenges of saving Equestria." Applejack angrily grunted making Rainbow jump. "I mean we were faced with the challenges of saving Equestria, we didn't give up, no matter how beat down or outmatched we were and just look at us now. What is considered peace rains across the land." "So say I actually take your advice, what would I do?" Fluttershy finally removed her head from Rainbow's mane wiped her eyes. "I...I have a suggestion. Maybe if you could get them in the same place, they could actually talk about what you've heard." Lavender pondered the thought in her head. "You know what..that might actually work. You are a genius Fluttershy, since when were you a love expert?" "Well last week Angel got into a fight with one the birds so in order to work out their problems, I stuck them in a room together." "Did it work?" "Well...um....no..no it didn't. Perhaps their problem is more complicated than that, but it should work perfectly fine for Spike and Rarity." As Lavender opened her mouth to speak, Twilight bolted through the door. "Lavender?! There you are. Listen...." Lavender put a claw to her mouth shushing her. "Don't worry Twilight, I forgive you." "I said I was sorry...wait...you forgive me?" "Yep. look I understand you have to see everything from scientific viewpoint but let's be honest, it's not always the best. I'm sorry for calling you a magic worm but next time, look inside your heart, not your books." "Right. So before you leave.." "You showed up a little late Twilight but I'm already ready to try a get my parents back together." "Really? Alright then. Why is Pinkie onto of a table?" "Well she started some type of speech about destiny and...yea she's been up there for about a good two minutes." "Shouldn't someone get her down?" Applejack giggled and shook her head. "I wouldn't. Just let her get it out." Twilight let out a giggle. "So what do we do now?" Lavender thought to herself and shrugged. "I got nothing. The goal is to get my mom and dad in the same place together." Everyone held their chin in thought. Applejack was first to speak. "How bout we invite them to a party?" Rainbow shook her head. "They would never go it, Rarity's too sad. How bout we we invite them to a competition run by yours truly." Twilight sighed and shook her head. "No Rainbow Dash, just no.......Oh! I have an idea but you may not like it." "What do you mean may not like it?" "You want the great and powerful Trixie to do what?" Twilight nervously chuckled. "We just need you create a fake shadow monster." "And why should I do this for you after you humiliated me?" "Because if you do, people may actually like you." "I do want to be liked again. Not gonna lie it's been quite hard to stay in business due to....eccentric fans. You have yourself a deal." "Thank you Trixie, you won't regret it. Meet at the princesses old castle just beyond the Everfree forest at sundown." "I expect to be fashionably late." Lavender and Twilight exited the trailer with smiles on their faces. They made their way to Twilight's library and proceeded inside. "Alright then Lavender. It's up to you to get them back together. Just let me send out the message to Dragon Lord Ember and then at sundown, I'll bring over Rarity." You remember where the princesses old castle is right?" "Yea...no." "Don't worry, Rainbow Dash will be flying overhead as a training exercise but actually she'll be guiding you there. Give me a moment to send this off." Twilight's horn lit up with magic lifting up the scroll with purple light. It vanished in a flash of light. "Alright. Now all you have to do is wait." Lavender's face began showing sorrow as she started scratching her head. "......" "Something wrong Lavender?" She let out a hard sigh and looked up at Twilight. "Can we talk about something?" "We have a few hours so let's talk it out." "Well...I know I shouldn't be thinking like this....and I know I should be thankful for my life but.....How much different do you think my life would have been if Spike hadn't you know.....married Rarity." //-------------------------------------------------------// What's on the other side? //-------------------------------------------------------// What's on the other side? https://img.youtube.com/vi/NJhVLvQTfq0/mqdefault.jpg "Excuse me Lavender?" "Well you're the magical one here. I suppose I thought you would you know, know." "Lavender I don't think I can even begin to explain that to you besides, it's like your saying you didn't want them to marry in the first place." "No way, of course I want them together I just, would like to know..out of curiosity reasons." "Well....I don't even know a spell to do something like that." "Really? Oh man sorry I asked. Guess I'll just leave then." Suddenly the room grew pitch black, a giant spotlight coming out seemingly nowhere to shine down on Twilight and Lavender. "Of all the friends you have, you forget to remember the one person that can actually do these kinds of things." The spotlight moved around to the center of the room where a bench had mysteriously moved. A puff of smoke filled the room swirling around the bench until it simply vanished. Twilight grew a irritated look on her face as she stared down the figure sitting on the bench. "Of all the times to show up." "Well if it isn't dear old princess Twilight, how you been, any new magic spells lately?" Lavender approached the bench with shock and awe painting her face. "Who are you strange..thing?" "This must be the new recruit to circle of friendship I presume, and what is your name dear girl?" "Lavender." "Lavender? What a beautiful name." The figure took a bow and looked up. "My name is Discord, the spirit of chaos and now harmony. I can help you with your dilemma if you wish." Twilight tapped Discord making him appear next in a flash of light, arm around her. "What are you planning Discord?" "What ever do you mean?" "Well you usually wouldn't use your powers like this unless you want something." "I am offended princess, was it not Fluttershy who changed me into a person of good? Besides, I don't think it's good to harbor any doubts about one's life, don't you agree Lavender?" Lavender nodded and stared at Twilight with puppy dog eyes. "Please Twilight?" "(Sigh) Fine. Just no tricks Discord." "You have my word. Come along Lavender." Lavender made her way to Discord's side as a small circle began to form around them. Without any warning, they somehow began to spin like floating in mid air and with a poof they were gone. Lavender opened up her eyes to the center of Ponyville, which strangely was tinted a slight green. "What's going on? Discord? Where are you?" https://img.youtube.com/vi/lDdM2duL-Mg/mqdefault.jpg "Can you hear me Lavender, good. Now you asked to see your life with different parents at hand, correct?" "Yes." "Well good news for you. I have transported you to my copy of an alternate universe where your wish has come true. Time still matters in this world however, so make sure to keep track of your time if you want to get your parents back together." "How did you know about that?" "I might have....spied...a little. That doesn't matter right now, right now you have limited time to observe the world around you. Good luck." The tinted green world began to return to a normal shade as ponies started appearing around her. One mare pushing a big kart approached closer and closer to the unsuspecting Dracony. Lavender felt the kart bump against her flank making her jump back in fear. She crashed into the kart tipping it over in a burst of speed. "Oh man, oh man I'm am so sorry." "It's ok dear. Not like anything got broken." Lavender began picking up the cases of different pastries. placing them next to her, then she picked up the kart and returned the protected pastries to where they were. "Sorry about that again." The pony was still gathering her things from the floor behind the kart. "It's quite ok, thank you whoever you are for at least picking them up unlike most ponies." "Actually I'm a Dracony." "Dracony?" The mare picked her head up and stared at Lavender. "Oh my. Sunray dear, I should've recognized your voice first thing. How was school?" "Um..what? Who is Sunray?" "What? Did you hit your head or something? Do I need to get the doctor again?" "Why would you need to whoever you are?" "Honey it's me Sunset, your mother." Sunset grabbed Lavender's claw and took in her own. Instantly Lavender noticed her change in scale color. "What the? Did I change color? Excuse....mom, I need to do something real quick." "Me as well, see you back at the house." "Right, where do we live again?" "Silly girl, the red house at the end of the street, the bakery." "Um..Right." Lavender quickly rushed to the bakery. Inside was display area filled with displays of sweets and cakes. Next to that was a counter holding the register and behind that the kitchen. Next to that were a set of stairs leading to the everyone's rooms or so Lavender assumed. She rushed up looking for a mirror. Upon opening one door she saw books filled the room from the door to the back. In the corner was a king size bed, adorning the one side of the bed was Sunset's cutie mark. On the other side was a red diamond shaped jewel. "Guess that's dad's and...mom's room." She made her way to the next door and opened it. "The bathroom, perfect." She closed the door, closed her eyes and approached the mirror. Upon opening them, her eyes shot wide as she stared at the unfamiliar Dracony in the mirror. "Whoa...that's...different." Sunray (http://orig12.deviantart.net/66eb/f/2015/155/f/c/pony_sunray_by_dilemmas4u-d8w06fl.png) "Wow I look amazing. My hair is like fire, these eyes could put you in a trance. And would you look at these wings! They're simply stupendous." A knock at the door caught Sunray's attention making her freeze up. "Honey are you ok in there?" "Who is it?" "It's Spike Ray." "Spike Ray?" "No that's your nickname remember. Everyone calls you Ray." "Oh..yea, I forgot." Sunray opened up the door and stepped out. "So what's on the agenda today?" "Well we have a very important customer coming for a big order. We're going to need your help in the kitchen all day today." "Of course.....what is it we do again?" "Bake. Did you hit your head again?" "Um no dad. Just a little tired." "Well ok. Meet us downstairs when your ready." "Alright." Spike proceeded downstairs leaving Sunray to think to herself. "Is this really how much different my life is. Doesn't seem all that bad." "Hurry Sunray." "Oh sorry." Sunray made her way down to the kitchen to see both Spike and Sunset cooking up a storm. Sunset looked at her and smiled. "There you are. Grab some ingredients and get mixing honey. We have 200 golden cherry cakes to make and we're only 50 in." Sunray put on an apron and grabbed a bowl. After about twenty minutes of baking she fell to the floor exaughsted. "I'm so tired." Spike chuckled and began sprinkling sugar atop his finished cakes. "I knew this would happen. Go take a break Sunray." "Thanks dad." Without warning she bolted out of the door and took a walk around town. Everything seemed to be in order. Applejack's farm was still there and so was Twilight's library which she made her way to. Upon entering the library, she was rushed by a flurry of books. "Oh sorry Sunray." "No issue Twilight. Hey have you seen Pinkie Pie?" "Pinkie Pie? She left years ago." "Left, what do you mean left?" "Well your shop is sitting where her's use to sit. She moved to Canterlot to make Sugarcube corner a hit." "Really? alright then, see ya Twi." Sunray exited the library with a look of sadness. "Well that's one con but I still think this is better. My parents seem happy and even if Pinkie isn't here, I can still have some fun. Just gotta find my friends." Sunray wandered over to the high school where dozens of kids sat after school hours. She wandered around like a nervous mess not really knowing anyone to talk to. As she neared the front doors of the school, her name got her attention. "Sunray over here!" "Huh? This must be my friends I suppose." "Hey Sunray how's it hanging?" "Hey...you." "You forgot my name again didn't you?" "No...Yes." "It's Crystal....Crystal Clarity." Crystal Clarity (http://orig13.deviantart.net/52f8/f/2014/187/c/5/clairity_by_bast13-d7pgypj.png) "Oh right. Crystal now I remember." "So how did that test go?" "Good, I think." "But weren't you complaining about before hand. Did you hit your head or something?" "Why does everyone keep saying that?" "That accident you had when you were little. You were still getting used to you full grown wings and you just so happen to crash head first into a tree." "Sounds painful." "looked painful." Another voice from the top of the steps caught Sunray's attention. "Excuse me Sunray dear." Sunray turned to look up at a purple mare motioning her towards her. "Yes mam?" "My name is Archive Record as you should already know, we need your assistance in something."Archive Record (http://orig10.deviantart.net/37b3/f/2015/223/3/1/archive_record_by_ambassad0r-d959mtk.png) "What exactly?" "It's magic related." "I guess it's an ok then." Sunray waved goodbye to Crystal and proceeded inside the building. The walk seemed endless as Archive locked her gaze forward leaving to Sunray to enjoy the awkwardness. "So about this whole magic thing." "We were hoping that you know something about our..situation. You are the daughter of the second greatest magic user in all of Equestria." "That's saying alot but i'll try." Archive stopped in front of double doors and pushed them open. "Please come in." Sunray made her way inside and immediately noticed a strange transparent liquid shifting and changing inside a glass case. "What is it?" "One of our prized students was attempting to invent a new energy source unlike anything the world has ever seen. Everything seems stable but one variable seems to be missing, Energy." "So what?" "We were hoping you could find the lost variable as to why it can't produce a charge. Here comes our genius now." The double doors flew open and in walked a familiar colt. He looked up at Sunray and back to his clipboard. "You're Sunray, thanks for helping us out." Sunray sat in shock to the colt standing in front of her. "F...Fizzle!" "Yes that would be me. Are you ready to conduct some test?" "Fizzle I missed you." She hugged him tight not letting go for anything until he wiggled out of her claws. "Excuse me ms. Sunray, there is such thing as a personal space." "Fizzle don't you recognize me? It's me Lavender.....Oh...I mean." https://img.youtube.com/vi/lRdisTrKb6A/mqdefault.jpg "Who is Lavender? Is she someone I may have met before?" "I must excuse myself Fizzle, Archive." Sunray ran quickly out of the room, bolting out of the building and down to her home. She shot through the front door and up the stairs. She made her way over to the last door in the hallway which she assumed was her room. Counting every second that went by, she opened the door and stepped inside. At one corner of the room was a beautiful yellow desk with a mirror connected. Next to it, A black bed covered with pictures of her, Sunset, and Spike. At the foot of the bed stood a tall bookshelf filled with books. Sunset flipped through the books to find nothing but magic spells. She put it back and fell on her bed. "This.....this isn't right. I'm not a bookworm like Twilight. Pinkie isn't here to make me feel better and the one pony I love doesn't even know me. Even if the pros outweigh the cons, it's not worth it." "I assumed as much." "What the? Discord?" "Correct my dear. Did enjoy a day in the life of Sunray?" "It's not as amazing as it seems." "I could've told you that." "I think I should probably stop asking these type questions to myself. "I'll be honest, it was kinda weird seeing Spike with another Pony. Every time Sunset talked, I heard Rarity's voice in my head. Everything was just so wrong, I think I have my answer now." "Then are you ready to proceed back to reality?" "Yes." Twilight impatiently tapped her hoof until a distortion began to form in front of her. Lavender and Discord appeared in seconds making Twilight jump back. "Whoa! There you guys are. It's almost time." "What do you mean? I was only in there for half an hour." "Actually it's been about two and half hours." Lavender turned to scold Discord but he had already vanished. "Where'd that liar go?" "No time to worry about that trickster you have to get to the castle now." "Man you're right. See ya Twi." "Hurry Lavender! Now to get Rarity." //-------------------------------------------------------// Good for nothing magic act //-------------------------------------------------------// Good for nothing magic act Listen to the song at the end if you really want to or open in youtube if you want to other things. https://img.youtube.com/vi/bvMmnBUe9iQ/mqdefault.jpg Lavender arrived at the castle with no time to spare. Twilight had shot off magic into the sky alerting Lavender that her and Rarity were only five minutes away. She frantically looked through the bushes beside the entrance expecting to find Trixie but with no sight of her she became worried. "Oh man where is that pony? Maybe she's just a really good at hiding. I'd better get inside, they're right behind me." Lavender made her way inside as Twilight and Rarity appeared out of the thicket. "Twilight dear why are we here? I'd rather be in bed." "You've been in bed all day, you need fresh air every once in a while." "I had plenty of fresh air yesterday." "Sticking your head out the window for two minutes doesn't constitute as fresh air now come on." "I still fail to see the reason you have dragged me here." "Lavender wants to show you something in the throne room." "Oh then why didn't you say so, let us proceed." Twilight and Rarity both neared the door until the sound of trees and dirt shifting caught their attention. Spike jumped out the trees landing right in front of the two mares. "Ok so let me get this straight, you invited me here, then you invite her and expect me to stay. This is a load of.." Twilight put a hoof over his mouth. "Spike! Please just listen. It was actually Lavender that invited you here. She want's to show both something in the throne room." Spike and Rarity made eye contact then just as quickly turned in opposite direction of the castle. "Come on you can't just make up for two seconds...not even for your daughter?" Spike and Rarity closed their eyes and sighed. (Spike and Rarity) "If it's for Lavender." They both entered the the castle emerging in the lobby. Their eyes shifted to Twilight behind them, who had suddenly vanished from their sight. Spike tried to push the door open only to find the door locked from the outside. "Hey Twilight! What's your issue, let us out!" Rarity turned and walked away into the hallway soliciting a angry reaction from Spike. "Oh so what, you just gonna walk away instead of helping get out of here?" "I'll find another exit." "Yep just like you to turn your back on someone huh?" Rarity stopped straight in her tracks and turned to face him, anger explained her entire attitude. "What did you say to me?" "Just...like you...to turn you back on someone. Familiar huh?" "I had work to do you ungrateful oaf." "So much work that you couldn't even say hi to me when I came home?!" Rarity turned quickly and walked away. "I do not need this unpleasantness! hmph!" "Hey, I was talking to you!" "Talk to the wall!" "You are so uptight!" Lavender listened as the screams of their arguments echoed through the hall. "There they are, time to put the plan in action." (Flashback) "You want the great and powerful Trixie to do what?" Twilight nervously chuckled as she rubbed the back of her head. "We need you to use your......magic...and tricks to make us a fake shadow monster." "Shadow monster? Like with like black energy swirling around and everything?" "Yea...how'd you know?" "I may have done it once or twice to scare some.....people out of their homes. That's not the point, As long as I receive the proper payment, I will create this..shadow monster for you." Lavender jumped in joy. "Great! so just a reminder, Twilight will bring my mom and dad to the castle, they go in, and when I give the signal, Trixie will send the monster out, it'll attack me. Mom and dad will combine their parenting forces, beat the shadow up, and be back together. Simple." (End Flashback) https://img.youtube.com/vi/UhPRByQPbzE/mqdefault.jpg Lavender nervously chuckled to herself. "Maybe this won't be as simple as I thought. Might as well try. Alright Trixie, bring it out!" On cue a shadow began perform in the middle of the room, a shadow so thick and dense, you could barely see through it. "Alright now have it attack me and I'l go ahead scream for my parents." It etched closer and closer until it was only inches away. Lavender fell on her back and began fake screaming. "Oh no! help help! please this monster is about to hurt me!" Lavender waited for a gasp or the sound of hoof and claw rushing to her position but nothing came, only the continuing sound of their arguing. "Um....Hey! Your daughter Lavender is about to die......Mom!....Dad!......Really? Ok Trixie back it up, I have to go see what they're doing." Lavender was about to stand up when she noticed the shadow still in her face. "Trixie back it up please." The shadow didn't move not an inch. "Trixie back the stupid shadow up!" The shadow began to move again but forward not backward engulfing Lavender under it's veil of dark energy. She felt herself getting sucked into a endless void as her legs vanished into the shadow. Her expression went from the plan is working smile to a frightful this isn't the plan frown. "Hey what are doing, let me go!" Lavender continuously pulled her legs out of the shadow as it seemingly vacuumed them back up. She turned onto her stomach and began clawing desperately at the floor slowly pulling herself out. As she felt the freedom of her legs, she jumped to her claws and bolted to the door. Upon opening, she turned left to reach her parents near the entrance only to find the shadow blocking the path. "M..mom,dad!" "Just like a dragon you never listen to me." "Because if everything you say wasn't about fashion or being sophisticated, i'd actually be interested in it." Lavender turned and rushed down the hallway with the shadow on her tail. She turned back to see if the shadow had slowed down or anything to her advantage only to see a completely black mass trailing behind her. A large red crystal hung in the center of the beast which seemed to spin and twist the more the shadow moved. It let out a menacing roar, identical to that of a demon, and continued it's attempt at assault. Lavender let out the most blood curdling scream as the path she followed went up the castle. Spike and Rarity both stopped in their tracks as the scream echoed through the halls and into their eardrums. Rarity stepped down the hallway to see the door s to the royal throne open. "What in heavens was that?" Spike listened carefully waiting for it to happen again. The scream echoed out once again and Spike instantly became worried. "That came from upstairs. That was Lavender's scream." "And how do you know that?" "Well we went to a nightmare night haunted house, and while I wasn't scared....she may..have been...a tiny bit scared." "More reason for me to despise you later but now, let us go save our daughter." "Might as well let me go save her then, she has my dragon blood after all." "You mean my fabulous pony lineage listen we will have this argument later." Rarity took off towards the stairs with Spike right behind her. Through that entire time, Lavender had made her all the way to the top of the castle. She cowered in fear as the shadow pushed her into the top room, a bedroom to be exact. To the left of the door was luxury bed and on the right, a bathroom but completely opposite of the door was a set of double doors leading out to a balcony, and the shadow was pushing her right to it. She desperately tried made her tried to make her way to the bed or the bathroom but it was like the shadow knew what it was doing creating a black wall of energy to block any and all attempts. Instead it was like it was trying to keep her focused on the balcony. Lavender screamed in terror as high as it she could. Upon hearing this, Spike and Rarity quickened their pace up the stairs almost at a blinding speed. Lavender's screams sounded like they were right in their ears as they reached the last set of stairs. "Come on Rarity hurry up!" "Do not rush me dear, I'm going as fast my body will permit." At this point the monster's black and dense structure had suddenly increased in transparency allowing Lavender to barely see through it. They busted through the doors with amazing force as the shadow had Lavender only centimeters away from the edge. To make matters worse, the balcony was in bad condition leaving little force to need break it. "Mom, dad! Help me please it's trying to ahhhhh!" Lavender dodged as it shot out a stream of energy almost like a bullet. Rarity picked up the biggest thing she could, that being the bed, and tossed it. The monstrous beast just swallowed it up like it was candy and continued it's assault. "What is that monstrosity! Lavender!" Spike rushed the monster grabbing onto it's crystal as leverage and attempting to push through the darkness. He got a claw just far enough into the dark mass to reach out to Lavender with determination. "Come on grab my hannnnd....Daddy's got ya.." Lavender reached inside the monster to grab her father's hand, she was almost there. Rarity rushed her hoofs to Spike's backside, trying to push him farther in, that was until Spike felt the sudden urge to remove her with his feet. "Let me save her! You don't deserve to touch her!" Suddenly the mass grew bigger in size, the crystal glowing a deadly bright red. A dark flash filled everyone's eyes as it began pushing Spike and Lavender back. Lavender began shedding tears as her father's hand grew farther away. "No dad....dad...no...please." "Lavender! Stop you stupid blob! Come on keep reaching!" Lavender and Spike felt a sudden push and everything seemed to go in slow motion. Spike watched as his daughter broke the restraints of the balcony, as she began to vanish from his sight and plummet towards solid ground. Lavender watched as she began her descent to the ground. She closed her eyes and began to remember, remember all the times that she had with her parents. When she was young and Sweetie Bell came to babysit, when Spike would play with her like all dragons do, when Rarity would help her with all her problems including the female only ones, and not to mention her time with Fizzle. She shed a single tear among the rest that originated from happiness knowing that this would help her parents back together. "Thank you everyone, especially you mom and dad, for welcome me with open arms and giving me the one thing a cherish, Friendship,no...Family." She fell awaiting the imminent until everything faded to black. https://img.youtube.com/vi/qUUZWaJA2gk/mqdefault.jpg Twilight's voice slowly trailed in as Lavender began opening her eyes. "Lavender?....hey guys she's waking up, Lavender?" "Owwwwwwww! I could seriously use like every painkiller you can get." "I'll see what I can do but for now how do you feel?" "Hurt in places I didn't even know I had." "Well yea, a 4 story drop will do that." "40 feet? How am I not dead?!...ow.." "Don't get to worked up, it was a miracle the doctor said. You were almost out like light but guess who got you here in the nick of time." Lavender looked to her left to see Spike and Rarity sitting next to her. "Dad, mom!" Spike was able to put a smile among his tear stained cheeks as he gently caressed her head. "Hey there kid, there is no level for the amount of worry I had." Rarity pushed Spike back and held her claw in her hoof. "We were both worried hon but what were you doing in that castle anyway?" Lavender looked back at Twilight, she nodded, then Lavender turned her head back. "Well my original plan was to make you guys think someone was attacking me then you would get back together after utterly destroying the monster but the backstabbing..." "Not backstabbing." Twilight interrupted. "Actually there was a note that says it was in the bushes but I actually found it way inside the castle." Twilight handed the note to Lavender. If you're reading this, then I am not in these bushes as planned. The great and powerful Trixie had something.....come up and so I have to postpone our...pan if at all possible. Sincerly The Great and Powerful Trixie. "So you're telling me, she just left....after she promised to help?" Twilight nodded. "It....was expected really." "Well what happened after I fell?" "I have no idea, all I know is that the castle was busted up and Spike and Rarity were carrying back here." Spike nervously chuckled and tapped his claws together, Rarity did the same. "We might able to answer that." (Flashback) "(Roar)" Spike crashed through the walls of the castle looping in and out of concrete walls as he clawed at the shadow. The shadow fled up and down the castle out of fear of the two, at this point, malevolent forces chasing it. Spike using his draconian strength tried try and tear through it only to rip through a concrete wall and Rarity who had no ability to do so before was firing lasers at least 2 feet in diameter which punched giant holes in the castle. (End flashback) Spike rubbed the back of his neck. "Yep, reached a new level of anger there." "Quite a destructive bunch we are." Lavender happily laughed even though it hurt like no pain she had ever felt before. "Ow.....at least I know you guys care. I'm kinda tired though, think I'm gonna go to sleep. Before I do though, any word from Fizzle?" Rarity nodded. "Yes, we received word back that he jumped on a train as soon as possible." "He'd better show up, can't have my own husband in this mess too." "We're not a mess dear, we're just....different." "(yawn) Different....that's us....alright." Lavender slowly drifted into sleep allowing Twilight to leave the room and leave the two alone with a sleeping daughter. Spike crossed his arms and looked at Rarity. "Different is an understatement." "What do you mean Spikey?" "Just...Don't. As soon as she's able I'm taking her to the Dragon Lands." "What?..." "You said we'ed talk about later, it's later." "If you think you're going to take my daughter away, you're sadly mistaken." Spike and Rarity both glared at each other until Twilight flashed into the room and flashed them out. All three of them appeared back inside Twilight's library. Twilight used her magic to sit both of them down, the look of complete anger on her face. "Are you two kidding me! You two are the most irresponsible and selfish couple I have ever met. Your daughter is sitting in the hospital in pain and you two are just gonna keep arguing. She could've died! I know Gilda is a jerk but this is a whole new level! You guys don't need a pick me up, you need a Celestia." With that she flashed out leaving the couple to stare in shock. Spike stuttered with his words as his face returned to normal. "Wow.." Rarity synced with Spike's expression. "I've never seen here so...infuriated." "I think we'ed better listen to her." "Yes, less we receive her wrath once more." "So let's talk." ".........Where do we start?" "I guess with what we told Lavender. You first." "Why were you cheating on me?" "Cheating? What do you mean cheating?" "I know Spike, about you and Ember." "You can't be serious. I wasn't cheating." "Then what were you doing huh, bunking it up with good old little Lord Ember for a quickie." "Are you kiddin me. Hehehe!" "What's so funny?" "I wasn't sleeping with her, I was going to her for love advice." "What...love advice?" "Yes love advice. See, at some point I felt like maybe it was something I wasn't doing right that you just stopped paying attention to me so I started asking around for love advice. Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow, hell even Pinkie Pie. Eventually I ended up at Ember's." "Wasn't paying attention to you? When....Oh my god, are you talking about when I got to wrapped up in my work. I knew that would cause some negative outcomes but I never once thought it would cause us to split apart." Rarity laughed for a full minute before smiling back up at Spike. "Oh my, how could something so stupid break up a love so powerful?" "Well obviously our love is still very powerful." "How so?" "Else we wouldn't be here laughing about something that was so almost so serious." Spike put his claw under her chin and brought his face close to her's. "Rarity.....I'm sorry about making you think that I was cheating, and especially about leaving for all that time. I can only imagine the sadness and anger I put you through." "And I as well Spike, For getting too wrapped up in my work. It must have seemed like I didn't want you anymore." "Are you serious, after all that chasing after you as a kid...Rarity I love you." "Spike you big lovable child, I love you." They slowly brought their lips together, passionately kissing and moaning as Spike's tongue danced around Rarity's mouth. It was then that at the hospital in Lavender's room where Twilight was sulking, that she suddenly lifted into the air, injuries and all, and began glowing. Twilight jumped out of her chair with confusion on her face. "Lavender? What's going on?" Lavender woke up in a panic, much to her regret. "ow ow ow, Twilight's what's happening?!" Spike and Rarity deepened their kiss so intensely they could practically hear their own breathing through their nostrils. As this happened Lavender grew brighter and brighter until the light completely encased her. They finally broke their kiss, their heavy breaths filled echoed throughout the room as Lavender floated slowly back into her bed. The light faded from her body, surprisingly she stretched, her bandages gone and cast vanished, she was in complete good health. "Lavender? Wha...what happened...your injuries.." "Twilight, how did this happen? Look at me, all those broken bones I had, they're just fixed. Did you use some kind of magic or something." "Well it was magic but not my magic." Spike and Rarity opened the door to her room looking quite confused as Lavender was completely healed. Spike picked up Lavender as spun her around. "Lavender wow! look at you, you're all better. Thanks Twilight." "I didn't do it." "Rarity?" "You know what we were just doing dear." Twilight perked up when she heard that. "What were you doing exactly?" "Well it's a bit.....um...we can't say in front of Lavender." "Mom I'm not a kid anymore, you don't have to hide it anymore." Spike's face turned red with embarrassment. "We were....hugging." Lavender laughed a little. "Foreplay dad?" "What?" "I know what foreplay is?" Rarity gasped in embarrassment. "H...How do you know what foreplay is?" "It's called I'm married mom. It was bound to happen." "Oh well...heavens." Twilight gave a attention seeking cough. "Back to the point. Where you two just doing that?" Spike nodded. "For how long?" "About a minute deary." "About the same time Lavender began to glow and suddenly heal." Lavender jumped up in her bed with a look of shock. "Twilight, are you saying that their....foreplay....which i'm considering is love...actually had some kind of magical effect in healing me." "As the princess of Friendship and Magic, it is quite possible that their emotions might have an actual effect on certain things like your healing or a better example, the shadow." "The sha....oh the shadow, that thing that chased me through the castle right. What about it?" "Well the only reason that thing appeared is because of Spike's and Rarity's constant bickering. Their hate for each other manifested into something that's been waiting to get out of that castle for a long time. Of course it never had the chance, you two made sure of that." https://img.youtube.com/vi/FdHm4dXkFNo/mqdefault.jpg Lavender jumped up an down on her bed. "Well thank Celestia they did, else I really would be dead. But I'm all better and ready to go." Spike laughed as he grabbed her out of mid air. "You might wanna clam down there, we still have people who wanna know you're ok. Fizzle for one, and Pinkie seemed to be the most worried out of anyone. She even thought of giving you cake to help you feel.....better i guess." "Why didn't you let her, I love cake." Spike and Rarity both huddled around Lavender and hugged. We love you to sweetie." It was then that a higher pitched voice caught everyone's attention not to mention feeling another pony on his back. "I love you guys too!" Spike reached and grabbed whatever was on his back and held it in view. "Pinkie?! How did you get in here?" "I came in through the window silly." Lavender shook her head and smiled. "That's Pinkie." Author's Note Hope you enjoyed the story as much as I did writing it. More adventures in Lavender's life to come, see ya there.
