She's the daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle and a filly with a powerful inheritance: music. Magical musical ability; and thanks to Ponyville's local musicians, she begins to fine-tune her talent after one rainy day spent at Sugarcube Corner. But one question still remains: where did come from? And what is it - an unknown magic or something more?

And what could possibly make Twilight Sparkle so afraid that she never lets down her guard? A warrior princess and an Element of Harmony; but also a great leader and mare of the people … scared? Of what? The royal sisters watch from afar as Twilight descends into a paralyzing grief of unknown cause, closing herself off from friend and family member alike. Even Discord is wary of the shadow the Princess of Friendship has transformed into and he isn't alone.

The arrival of a former student of Celestia changes it all and the filly's world is flipped on it's head. She gets her answers but she also discovers that she, and she alone, can bring her crumbling family back together and heal the scars left by her parents' mistakes. She's the bridge of an unsung melody - and the next chapter in a story long left unfinished.
