“Major Metro Light, commanding officer of the Sixteenth Elite Guard Platoon reporting . U nits are prepared. ” Earpieces announced through the masses of pink and sapphire blue barding, organized columns of mares and stallions of the Equestrian Garrison standing with rapt attention, boxing in what were vehicle caravans. Each was armed akin to a train, with the front car acting as the cab with a engine wagon attached from behind, each caravan either hauling defended wagons of supplies, trailers showing portable shelters, and specially designed trailers marking labs. These caravans were specially made varieties of the steam-powered vehicles that debuted across the Equestrian Empire in the recent few months, acting as reliable and durable replacements over manually pulled wagons which utilized the concept of magically charged gemstones to power the steam engines.
The vehicles were conceived by the Royal Scientific Board of Technology for the growing industrial revolution almost three years ago. They had undergone severe changes from the original concept until they were pushed into prototyping various models until satisfaction was met. However, even with the revolutionary concept, the vehicles were slow in reaching commercial markets, and the influences by the government had put these vehicles in high demand. Though some ponies claimed that the Princesses were intentionally holding back the vehicles, Celestia citing the reminder that Ponies should remember that even with a revolution coming on, the people of Equestria shouldn't rely simply on the technology but in their race’s respective specialties. Most ponies had simply pushed this off as gossip, but who truly knew of the Princess’ intentions?
“Ponyville Garrison, attention!” The sharp voice drove the idling guards to attention.
“Ready? March!”
Hooves stomped in unison as the vehicles roared to life and began a slow pace along side the marching soldiers, the odd residents of Ponyville watching on as the soldiers marched by. It was spectacle for the residents who'd never even heard of a military beyond the town guard, and to see the caravans passing by simply amazed them. Slowly, they passed through town and into the outskirts, the tip of the caravan directing them across a freshly grounded unpaved road and into the infamous Everfree Forest.

Deep within the forest, six bipedal figures carefully trekked through the shadowy woods on the hunt. Two were dressed in roughly patched and unkempt casual clothing while the others showed a disparity compared with their well-kept body armor with the latter four armed with military-grade equipment. These four were on a hunt, not a hunt for a challenge or game, but a trek for a recently triangulated transponder-receiver. These four were sent to retrieve the cache, which wasn't an uncommon sight as these supply caches appeared and disappeared at random intervals. However, it became clear that it wouldn't be easy to retrieve these caches when a two-man group failed to return, with what remained of their equipment and bodies never found. The subsequent search party possibly suffered the same fate, in exception for the remains of their equipment.
Today, their hunt for the radio cache would take them some way out from their home and into the less familiar lands tracked by their people, but they could only hope in the end it'd be worth it.
Sliding his hand down towards his utility belt, one of the armed military personnel carefully held his radio's transmitter and activated it. Soon enough a quiet pinging came from it’s speaker, which gradually grew louder as they soon found the familiar symbol of their land, a ribbon tightly woven into a tree branch. Carefully checking their surroundings before continuing, they began searching the source of just where their target was, the radio briefly giving a monotone note. As soon as the solid note was given, they immediately began scouring the area, which soon presented them with their goal. Hanging in a branch above them was a overstuffed bag.
One of them turned to the others, “Right, everyone. Form a defensive perimeter.” Quickly as it was ordered, the military personnel staged a perimeter while the casually clothed two began various fruitless attempts to retrieve the supplies.
Their endeavor soon bore fruit as one of them carefully scaled the tree and successfully retrieved the bag. A quick check through the bags uncovered possibly one of their best hauls, in their opinion, to this day. Both of the casuals tightly held the handles of the sides as they began their hike back home.
During the hike however, they were stopped by a peculiar sight. Taking up cover, they watched as they witnessed a sight unseen by their eyes for the longest of times: a convoy passing through their land, via a roadway they hadn't seen when they'd passed through in previous hunting trips. What caught their interest was the colorful columns of horse-like creatures marching beside it. Soon enough a single comment came up amongst them.
“This...can't be right.” One of the casuals stated
Watching the convoy slowly pass by, they soon began attracting attention to themselves, and soon enough the unexpected intruders were sending some of their own towards their direction, eliciting a single order from the group's leader,“RUN LIKE HELL!”
Supply bag in hands, and firearms at the ready, the group was swift in their retreat towards the direction of their camp. But from above they were already being tracked.

Metro Light watched from the top of a vehicle, his scowl hidden under the helmet’s mask. He'd sent a detachment towards the suspected bandits just ten minutes ago, and there's been no update since then, which only increased his irritation alongside babysitting the eggheads who wanted to explore one of the most savage lands in a district he, in all personal honesty, hated with a burning passion. It wasn't that he found the ponies here terrible, but he had a specific distaste for such a backwater district. Even for being close to the capital. Honestly, he never understood how or why they hadn't come to terms with the new times, but he didn't care, it wasn't his district.
“Major!” His earpiece activated, the officer grunting as he reached his hoof up and activated his transmitter.
“What is it, Lieutenant...” He stated sharply, receiving a wince from nearby soldiers who heard the sting in his voice.
“Sir...we've found the bandits.”
“And?”
“They're not Diamond Dogs...they're humans, lots of them..”
Metro Light paused a moment before giving his response, “Haybale, you better beDAMN well sure. Hold position until further notice.” Switching channels to his earpiece, Metro's voice boomed across the caravan, “All expeditionary infantry, we're heading out in two minutes. We've located a possible bandit camp harboring an unknown species. Anypony who isn't prepared will be left behind.”
Soon enough the convoy was tearing through the roadway, catching up to the forward elements carving out the makeshift roadway and sweeping them back into the fold. Before long the convoy had formed a defensive perimeter just a partial way off from the camp, on a ridge overlooking said camp. Almost immediately the Major had found himself a pair of binoculars and began scanning the camp.
Instead of seeing a horde preparing for battle, Metro Light had to raise his visor in disbelief as he scanned it again. It was a shantytown. Shacks aligned over ancient ruins, obvious signs of poverty amongst it’s residents, and the tell-take signs of a weak and hasty defense built near the supposed center. “This truly isn't a bandit camp....it's a bucking shanty full of humans. Shit....”
Taking his eyes from the binoculars and glancing towards the ridge, his own platoon was prepared to attack at a moment’s notice while the regular guard had formed a defensive perimeter around the scientist’s caravans. Metro raised his hoof up to his ear and spoke slowly, “Platoon, stand down immediately. Captain Star, take three of your soldiers with me, we're going down to negotiate.”
“Sir, you can't be serious!? We don't know if they're hostile or not!”
Metro Light sighed, “Lieutenant, shut your bucking muzzle. I understand the risk that either of us could die, but we're going for diplomacy.”
- -
After a half-hour of negotiating with the shanty’s appointed “sheriff”, Metro Light had secured the right for the scientists to enter the shanty with a limited military escort in exchange for compensation for their presence. Pulling it from the ridge, the convoy was brought around towards a less-populated section of the town.
Metro Light kept his hoof firmly planted on the side railing of one of the camper vans, keeping his visor up as he kept a sharp eye on the residents of this Celestia-forsaken shanty while ensuring the eggheads weren't out to cause any trouble. Though what caught his eye was one of the humans, who was standing on a platform and giving a speech. Dressed in sharp black suit under a dark brown overcoat; his dirty blond hair reached down to his mid-back. What caught his eye closer were the parts of his face which had metal grafted to it, his hands made from the same metal. He couldn't help but feel unnerved by the sight of him, who soon disappeared when he turned the corner.
Soon after, they found their way into an ancient square, forming a circular band around a overgrown garden with what had remained of a statue's base. Sure enough the science team was absolutely excited at this discovery, their chatter audible over the retrieval and establishment of their equipment. Metro Light raised his visor and let out a sigh, he could already see some of the human patrols watching them as his half-dozen unit patrolled around the forum in pairs.
Already mid-day and he was beginning to regret calling for the Sixteenth Elite's call to guard, of which he'd hoped was a New Equestrian mission, but thanks to misinformation, it was still going to another backwash shantytown.

Dr. Galileo was suitably excited alongside his fellow colleagues as they traversed around the shanties, taking notes and performing interviews to the various residents, who seem to have taken a rather positive light to their presence. Cooperation was impeccable, in his own words. They watched as the humans went about their day, from the various shopkeepers to the temporarily visiting farmers. Notably he saw the difference between their languages, besides the linguistic vocabulary being the same, their accents were radically different and made it quite a struggle to understand. But in the end, he was able to find common grounds.
Written vocabulary, on the other hoof, was nigh impossible as he was given five different basic vocabularies in exchange for Equestrian Scripture. One of the residents, a slant-eyed 'colt' named Koga, volunteered to be their translator, showing them the names of their structures and the names of villagers. Galileo had opted for his assistant to record as much as he could and keep track of their names the best they could. As far as his entire career went, this was equivalent to being the first Head of the Technology Sub-board at the behest of Princess Luna. He'd practically just proven the existence of theHumus genus, which would boost his prestige to higher levels.
After leaving his anthropologists to study the 'commercial block', Galileo had caught sight of a junior ekistic talking with the supposed leader of these people, which seemed to be going south rather quickly. Carefully, he made his way to the two, watching as the metallic human point his finger towards the fresh-faced student.
“What I said is final, sir, you're not entering Argamak, PERIOD.” His voice slightly amplified, but failed to shake off the adamant student.
“Sir, my team and I just want to study how your settlement is receiving their food, that's all! Why are you refusing us access to the manor!?”
The leader let out a annoyed groan, “Because, you thick-headed pony, Argamak is my personal property. I own it. The only reason my farmers are even allowed into the fields is because they're sworn under oath. You, however, not just one hour ago gained access to Sibeki. Go back and study the ruins.”
Galileo let out a fake cough, gaining the attention of the human and the student, who both seemed to take a slight glee in his appearance. Almost immediately his student turned towards him and began.
“Sir, can you please talk some sense into this person? He's restricting anypony from entering the manor up on the mesa.” The students hoof pointed towards said mesa, which was connected to the town by a series of steps. Galileo turned towards the leader with his eyebrow raised.
“Look, I'm not going to debate with either of you, stay away from Argamak or you'll be ejected into the forest.” The student had prepared to argue, if not for Galileo's foreleg holding him back.
“Stop, just go back to the campsite. I need to talk with him.” The student simply surrendered at the order, and Galileo turned his attention towards the leader and took in a sharp breath before releasing.
“Sir, wait a moment!” The man turned his head slightly, slipping on a pair of half-rimmed glasses and giving him a questioning look. “Sir, my name's Doctor Galileo, Head of the Royal Scientific Board. If I may ask, could you please tell me of...Sibeki?”
Raising an eyebrow at the request before replying, “Very well then, sir. Please, come.” Motioning him to walk with him, Galileo wasted little time getting to the point.
“If I may ask, what is your name and title?”
“My name is Julius Gordon Crowley Demirci, First High Lord of Sibeki & Argamak.” Julius stated simply as he pointed towards a guard and directed him away before returning to their discussion.
“Could you tell me about Sibeki and Argamak's history?”
Julius raised his finger and began, “We don't know much about this land, but we've settled here and etched out our lives since the civil war. We used supplies at hand, and what was gathered to build our shanties and establish our homes. There's not much to talk of beyond our attempts to find other humans, and...well, the darker sects of our history.”
Julius’s last comment piqued Galileo’s interest.“Please, sir, don't skimp on the detail, please tell me.”
Julius wearily looked towards the doctor and noticed he was looking a tad bit overexcited about his history, but gave him the benefit of the doubt. “When we arrived in the town, we were almost two hundred strong. But no matter how much we unified, some left on their own will, others defected into banditry, and a few openly attempted to kill others. Last time we checked, we were down to just eighty.” He pointed towards the graveyard as they passed, Galileo noticing a group of body bags set aside at the entrance. “We've placed the graveyard in the most secluded section of the town. It houses the fallen we've found....and those of others.” Galileo's attention peaked but stopped himself abruptly, knowing that the question he was about to ask would unintentionally cause a rift.

Log Number One, Summer of Epoch Four; Year Three Thousand Five Hundred and Sixty-two.
Marvelous! We've come into contact with a tribe of humans, altogether a tad-bit dysfunctional but extraordinarily connected basic civilization. Consisting of advanced carpentry, masonry, and agriculture, they've passed on in just ten years of seclusion from the Empire before discovery. I've met with their leader, Sir Julius G.C Demirci of Sibeki & Argamak, and learned of it ’ s history, which I've kept logged within the archives. They were friendly, the whole town, spot for a few skeptical guards and the wounded. And to note, they're unlike what Constellations had written on them were, by chance, wrong!
I'm just rambling, but I'll add a little note here that I wrote . I t's a speech that Sir Demirci gave to the people of Sibeki after the Princess herself requested Julius' presence for the upcoming Human Convention to deal with his people :
'My people, listen closely!
Today we've come into contact with a greater power, but not one of those who'd left us to die in the mountains of our old homes. These Equestrians, as they're called , are people of scientific nature being led through the forests that surround us to explore and understand more. These...Ponies are of the Equestrian Empire, and they wish not for harm, but for peace and harmony. I ask you, have we heard of such words from our own politicians from before? No!
I, personally, have been invited to their capital of Canterlot by their incumbents, Princesses Celestia and Lunaria for a convention to see our new future. It hurts to say that we may no longer become the Independent people we are, but hear me! Do not fret! This convention was at our request, with a promise for a better life! One where our children will have a true education, one where you won't starve or wither from dehydration, one where our wounded will live to see the following years!
NO LONGER, MY PEOPLE! (The emphasis was that he's shouting now) WE WILL FIND TRUE PEACE, TRUE FRIENDSHIP, AND OUR GUARANTEED EXISTENCE! THE FOLLOWING WEEKS WILL MARK OUR DAYS AS BECOMING PART OF A EMPIRE OF PEACE, A PARAGON WE WISHED FOR! MY PEOPLE, WE'VE FOUND OUR NEW HOME!'
After the conclusion, he was given such major applause, I was beginning to think many of my scientists were becoming deaf! I need to investigate more first thing tomorrow morning.

The Human-Equine Convention
Mr. Crowley By: Die Philosophen - - "Ponyville is just some backwater, who gives two bucks just what goes on there!? I don't care what you do, just don't assign me to it 's garrison!" Second Lieutenant Metro Light – Reassignment Hearing of the (disbanded) 67 th Pegasus National Guard Platoon - -
In the wake of the scien tific communit y’ s discovery of humans, news articles sprung up just a day after and became a national headline ; reaching the eyes of the highest echelons of Canterlot elite to the lowliest of workers in the colonies. Since then, there was nothing but excited gossip, heated debates, and a overall shock at the mere sight in gs of the long hidden 'enclave of huma ns' . Their excitement reached a crescendo when Princess Luna personally came over the radio waves to announce that a convention was to take place over the next day that would define wha t would become of the humans and relations between the two species. This divided many ponies into various sides and established o pinions of what would become of the enclave.
Celestia had personally called for the entire Parliament to be present, from the lowly staff to the ministers themselves, an d had pe rsonally summoned the Elements of Harmony to witness the convention with their own eyes. Dr. Galileo, however, was the only minister to not be present ; the Science Board minister away on his expedition in Sibeki. After arriving at the capital, Julius was prepared for the convention that came the following evening , his arrival ha ving spark ed quite the scene amongst the Canterlot residents.

"What d'yah think the Princesses wanted us fer?" Applejack asked, receiving a confused shrug from Rainbow Dash. The entire Mane Six was formally dressed for the occasion, as they were to be seated just below the Princesses during the debate. Going before the entire government body, it wasn’t a shocker when Rarity started fussing over their attire, due to the sudden notice and, not to mention, the tension rebounding from the overall atmosphere amongst the staff and royalty.
"Darling, it's obvious that this upcoming convention is something she requires us for. Though I only recall it relates to these new creatures that’ve become quite the phenomenon." This was agreed to by most. Soon, the Mane Six became quiet when a guardsman, dressed in formal armor, called for them to enter the floor.
One by one, the ponies filed into the Parliament floor; all but Twilight gaping at it’s immense size. The entire room was to an epic scale, with the apex high enough for a whole squadron of pegasi to practice in. Marble pillars designed with intricate patterns were reaching to the ceiling, each held at the base by elegant stone slabs. The entire floor was tiled with alternating obsidian and ceramic tiles, each engraved with a name and two dates, with pure gold lining in between each tile. Surrounding the floor were rows of desks, tiering up to five levels and filled with hundreds of Parliament ponies. Around them were higher sets of desks, divided by a stairwell leading up to three more, capable of fitting hundreds more Parliament ponies.
Escorted to their positions, the Mane Six sat directly under Shining Armor and Cadance, greeting them with smiles while Celestia and Luna remained neutral to their presence. Below them were over a dozen mixed races that represented the House of Alicorns. Taking their seats and waiting patiently, the idle chatter between the seated was quickly silenced as Celestia raised her hoof and Luna began to speak.
Her voice echoed with a firm but aggressive undertone, utilizing her'formal' vocals.“Ponies of the Equestrian Parliament, today we come together, from the lowest worker to the Ministers themselves together in unison t o bear witness to the Human-Equine Convention. Attending tonight to this hearing with the Equestrians is the royalty of the House of Alicorns and the Elements of Harmony. Also a ttending , from the Human Enclave, is Sir Julius G.C. Demirci of Argamak & Sibeki. All rise now for formal introductory.” The Mane Six rose to their hooves and watched ahead. Sitting in a formal chair on a rotating platform was the elegantly dressed Sir Demirci. He was dressed in a white undershirt and charcoal vest with black dress pants and jackboots. After formally introducing Sir Demirci, they watched as the human took a stand, then placed his right-handed fist to his chest cavity and bowed lowly before Luna's voice echoed again,“Now, return to your seating.”
Soon enough things began heating up in the Parliament as they came down to business.“The Human-Equine Convention, as recorded, will define political extension of the human enclave of Sibeki & Argamak in Equestrian territory. Furthermore this convention will extend to ensuring either the independence or co-dependence of the enclave to the Equestrian Empire. As voted by the Parliament, the House of Alicorns ’ Speaker will define the level of assistance from the Equestrian Empire, should co-dependence be chosen. Ending the preamble to the convention, we shall begin immediate screening of the Human-Equine Act.” Taking her seat after applause, Celestia followed up after her.
“Sir Demirci, your opening statement to Parliament, please.”

Julius raised his fist to the air as he began the speech, “..after several days of debate and wonder, the Human-Equine Act has been signed. But what does this mean to you, residents of Sibeki? Allow me to explain just what'll happen.”
Raising his finger towards the air, the metallic shine from it presented the number one, “Firstly, Sibeki and Argamak shall remain within our influences, meaning we shall retain our identity, but we must surrender independence for the greater good.” This roused some minor jeering before Julius raised his second finger, “As goodwill from the Empire, we've received our own personal garrison under the command of Major Metro Light, and we'll also receive bimonthly supplies to support our nation.” This elicited some cheering, but a few had looked skeptical at the prospect. Raising his ring finger next, Julius raised his voice further, “Now listen closer, as they’ve also set out restrictions. We have complied with requests of a no-hunting policy, this is due to the sentient nature of many species we found to be semi-sentient, some even rational thinking.”
Ensuring that the people were to complain, Julius raised his pinkie finger and amplified his voice. “Fourth, we've submitted to allowing Equestrians to immigrate into the township at their wish, as this will present us with a peaceful integration into a new society.” At the moment, the crowds were looking divided as their leader continued with his thumb, “And, at the request of Princess Lunaria herself, the children of Sibeki will have a teacher from the local township to come and educate our children. Remember, my people, even if a they are of a different species, we treat everyone equally, as we've all come to unite as one, we shall not begin to fall back into the hatred and scorn we've provided years ago. That is all.”
Julius stepped down and snapped his fingers, keeping an eye on a few of his people whom were giving him rather dirty looks. The Captain of the Guard, a retired thirty-seven year old National Gendarmerie veteran by the name of Régis Porcher, stood at attention. “Sir, your orders?”
The augmented man raised his finger towards the forum, “Régis, have double guard posted, three-unit patrols tonight. Notify Major Metro Light of possible violent dissenters if things turn for the worse. Then, report that Argamak is be secured with night watch. Post two sentries to the entrance of each agricultural field.”
With a salute, Régis and his cadre of guardsmen were on their way to their garrison, an old apartment complex with a jury-rigged vault for an armory. With a grunt, Julius slipped his hand into his pocket and returned to Argamak.
- -
Sibeki gradually returned to normal, barring the mixture of human-equine guards and a recent convoy of supplies bringing with them a group of ministry ponies personally sent by Luna to help with establishing the support to the newest town in the Equestrian roster. Establishing their offices at an old two-story office building, which had been renovated into a outpost but then abandoned. The ponies had based their operations out of it now. A liaison office from the Royal Center of Residency had dealt with establishing citizenship and a census of the town and the garrison of guards were granted an extension of the old complex. A Nationalized Office of Rail Transportation office had been established, however it's workers were just three or for 'pathfinders', ponies who scour the land for establishing rail lines and roadway; both the Royal Board of Economics and Royal Business Administration voluntarily fused their offices together, both receiving and distributing supplies from the state.
After spending the remainder of the day in a meeting with the bureaucrats, Julius had enacted a freshly paved road by the military engineers to become the permanent road and railway leading to Ponyville, the foundations for a higher rate of living amongst the people of Sibeki; restoration of the township to a proper status; and improvement of the basic social services. Goals set, Julius ended the meeting and retired back to his personal study in Argamak, having recovered a basic spelling list of Equestrian Scripture by a particularly purple unicorn named Twilight Sparkle, complete with comparing notes of English, and even a basic translation of the two.
Focusing his augmented eyes on the notes, he scanned over the notes by Twilight, carefully copied word by word and printed into his mind. Slowly turning his head towards the Equestrian Scripture, he could feel his retinas slowly phasing out the scripture in favor of English translations, which itself seemed...less than accurate, to be honest.
“Well then...time to practice I suppose...” Julius said to himself as he began reviewing the notes over and over, making sure his augmentations copied, restructured, and slowly but surely began to show minor improvements.

Sibeki and Argamak were unique pieces of landscape in comparison with the mountainous regions surrounding Ponyville and other districts. Sibeki was situated in the more ridge-like sections of the Everfree Forest, isolated from any notable landmarks beyond Argamak. Sibeki was an ancient township surrounding the mesa, the entire township wrapping around it like a inner ring, with the old unmistakable brick and mortar wall that formed something of an outer ring. Sibeki's ruins were mostly left alone, nature strangely refusing to take over or grow on the land, which left the some odd eighty residents of Argamak to build their own hovels within the gutted ruins. What remained of the roadways were cracked, with some turning to gravel. The once uniform and clean cobblestone filled with dust, erosion, and decay.
In the past, it may have been that Argamak had once held elevated tiers of the building, a theory suggested by a architectural-minded student when they studied the crumbled and decaying ruins at the base of the mesa. However, the grand carved staircase leading up into the mesa, which was a twist from a T-section to a Y-section, could easily confuse anyone walking up it’s steps. Measured by a few scientists who had been given access to the mesa, they recorded with pedometers that it would take over two hundred steps and fifteen minutes to make it to the gates that led to the ancient manor of Argamak. The intricate marble staircase was obviously very durable, only losing it’s luster to the tests of time while the rest of it had shown little damage. Sir Demirci had noticed that there was also a secondary exit, but wasn't designed for people, instead for vehicles.
The manor took up three acres, well-worn but durable walls covering most of the land. Within the enclosed gates was a grand lawn leading up to the old manor, which was, to be honest, more capable of housing native creatures than the house of Sir Demirci. It was a distinct Victorian Anne design, with three floors and a towering spiral, a sun porch wrapping around it, various detachments seen beyond the manor; what was suspected to be a detached garage in the pathway, a branching pathway leading to the far side of the lawn; a small warehouse could be seen from the far side; and secure land occupied by farmers, ranging from apple orchards to vineyards.
Beyond the walls was the untamed and unknown. Julius refused to expand, citing the fact that they had enough land to survive for now. It was a paradise, albeit heavily decayed.

“Why did we even volunteer for this again?” Rainbow Dash questioned her friends once again, orbiting her friends as they passed through the security checkpoint erected at the entrance to Sibeki. It had been almost two entire weeks since the Human-Equine Convention, the settlement was faring with support, the pathway between itself and Ponyville was secure as any could get, thanks to the military.
Twilight was vexed as she once again explained, “We're here at the behest of Sir Demirci, he requested that a group of ponies come help the people of Sibeki. Luna as well wanted us to help warm relations between both of our races.”
“But why drag me into this? I got better things to do than help out some weirdo humans.” Rainbow replied, prompting a sigh of exasperation and annoyance from the rest of the party.
“Is there anythin' that yer not busy with, like napping through an entire movie because it was borin'?” Applejack flatly stated to her friend, the cyan pegasus giving her a scoff.
“That movie was terrible! You said there was action, but all I saw was some dumb love story.”
Just as Applejack was about to respond, they were interrupted by a whistle, all six of them alerted to the familiar sight of Sir Demirci, minus the fact that he wasn't exactly dressed formally. The human was in dress pants and jackboots, but little else. His entire upper body was a chrome black metal devoid of many features and designed akin to platemail, the byproduct of being fully augmented. The ponies watched in awe as the man walked towards them, lifting multiple propane cylinders with a steel pipe over his back, balanced by one hand while the other kept around the handle of an independent cylinder. “Ah, the Elements of Harmony. Welcome!” He said with a thunderous laugh.
“Uhh...Hello, Sir Demirci, we're here to help at the behest of the Princesses.” The rather eccentric leader gave another laugh and nodded towards Twilight.
“My people have been expecting a few ponies to help around. I can only generalize that since Koga decided to slack off, the mason is looking for hands or hooves to help him. He's not hard to miss. Augmented right arm.” Sir Demirci tapped his right arm before picking up his cylinder again, “and is normally covered in powder.”
“Sounds like mah neck of the woods! Later, sugarcubes!” Departing, Applejack was stopped by Sir Demirci temporarily as he pointed eastwards.
“His workshop has a bunch of stone slabs outside, ain't hard to miss.” She thanked Demirci, and wandered off in the direction he pointed to. Making sure to keep her eye out for anything dangerous. Sir Demirci then turned to the others and noted Twilight and Rarity.
“Uh, Sir Demirci, is there a assignment that doesn't put in such...ah...physical labour?” Rarity asked with a grimace as she watched a group of human women, all dressed in work clothes and various aprons, their hands and faces covered in grey molding clay.
Sir Demirci nodded and pointed down the main road, which led to the steps to Argamak, “You're in luck, Miss Rarity. I recall your profession, and we have all the proper tools for clothing production. Hope you don't mind, but we're just looking for basic clothing, nothing too fancy. The workshop comes with everything you'd ever need.”
Rarity tried at first to walk to the workshop elegantly and ladylike, but almost instantly bolted toward it, finding the workshop and ducking inside, shocking the guard sitting in a portable chair to the point where he tipped over. “Well...that's a refreshing sight of enthusiasm.” Uttered Demirci with a smirk.
Pinkie Pie was next, almost eager for any job he had in store, “Will do anything sir, lickety split, just give me a bunch of jobs, all done in SECONDS!” She shouted, prompting the surprised leader to quickly point towards a nearby cart.
“Quickly then, Pinkie Pie! Deliver all of the items here to the garrison at the apartment complexes!”
“Okie dokie lokie, sir, Mr.Bossman, sir!” With the swiftness of a pegerine falcon, Pinkie Pie harnessed herself to the wagon and haphazardly charged down the street, her thundering hooves alerting those wary to move out of the way. An unlucky few were either knocked away or launched into the air. Sir Demirci watched in amazement, “She's going the wrong way....but anyhow...” he said, turning to the remaining three.
“Fluttershy, we have a resident pet, a German Shepherd we've called Caesar. He's been rather...bad to be honest. Could you work your magic?” He asked the her politely, receiving a snort from Rainbow Dash and a polite nod of affirmation by Fluttershy.
“So, lemme guess, you want me to help make the day all sunny or something?” Rainbow Dash in half-irritation, half-boredom. What she didn't catch was Sir Demirci's smirk.
“No, I need you specifically, Rainbow Dash, to help me get these propane cylinders to the garage.” The pegasus raised an eyebrow at the job order, as did Twilight. Both looked at each other and then back towards Sir Demirci, who lifted his cylinder again and looked at them. “Twilight, I'd appreciate your magic here as well.. Now let’s go!”

Following the augmented leader through the town, Twilight kept her balance as her telekinetic field lifted a pallet of twelve cylinders, Rainbow Dash struggling with the four in her hooves as she flapped her wings furiously. “I...didn't....think...they...were so...HEAVY.” Rainbow Dash whined as Sir Demirci simply laughed.
“It's just in here, my dear pegasus. You’ll get a rest soon enough.” Said Demirci, passing over a bridge leading up into the mesa's wall, the far end leading into a garage door. Pausing momentarily, Rainbow Dash and Twilight watched as he stared blankly at the door, his pupils shrinking and enlarging before the door shifted upwards. “There we go.”
“How...How in the name of Celestia did you do that !? You don’t even have a horn!” Twilight shouted, both of them agape as the shutters lifted into the ceiling and lock in place.
Sir Demirci simply looked towards the unicorn and pointed to his eyes, “Augmentations. They're wonders for us. Now, let us enter the rabbit hole.”
Within the supposed garage, the three were met by the sight of active Christmas lights bathing them in a multi-spectrum of colors. Stopping at a T-section, Sir Demirci directed them towards the left and into an expansive parking lot. CLANG! Rainbow Dash dropped her cylinders, Twilight simply gaping in amazement as she looked at the sight.
The garage housed a variety of vehicles, from muscle cars to massive utility trucks, each kept uniform, well-maintained, and organized by their design. Striped, intricate decals, and special designs adorned each hull. There were almost a hundred independent vehicles, and a crew of five human mechanics were admist repairing a sports utility vehicle, which was propped up onto a stand as two scurried of them about the underside, the rest either bringing over supplies or working on the upper side of the vehicle.
“What...is all of this !?” Rainbow Dash shouted, obnoxiously, in amazement as Twilight looked on with wonder, the mechanics looking their way with mild irritation before taking one look at Sir Demirci and returning to work.
The leader simply laughed as he patted the hood of a particularly well-designed muscle car, “Welcome to Argamak's vehicle storage. From our beginnings to this very day, these excellent ladies and gentlemen have worked day and night to ensure each vehicle is kept in tip-top shape, modified to fit out new consumption of energy, and ensured they looked proper for public display.” This caused some hooting from the mechanics. “Without these vehicles, none of us would've been able to transport everyone away from the badlands. You are the second group of Equestrians to gaze upon our grand collection of vehicles. Now come, the propane storage is over here.
Following, the two ponies stared around at the various designs and sizes, some reaching higher than Princess Celestia, one or two even larger than her.
Setting down the cylinders within a small off-side storage closet, Sir Demirci nodded at them and smiled broadly, “Very well then, let us return to Sibeki, I'm sure we have MUCH more work ahead.”

Sir Demirci stared towards the cresting sun, releasing a sigh as he raised his index finger as the tip of it transformed into a sharp-tipped pen. Quickly, he wrote check marks through the manifest in hand, a checkmark next to a few people’s names and blackmarking two before returning his finger to it’s normal state.
The augmented man was sitting in a collapsible chair from the third floor of the manor, outlooking the front of his home, watching the familiar sight of straw hats and baseball caps as his farmers ascended the stairwell to Argamak ready for a new day of tilling the fields and harvesting crops. What made Argamak a unique place was the magic within the soil, caused by an unknown source, that accelerated the growth of plants and as a result gave rather bountiful harvests. This gave Julius a surplus of food to be sold to the government for lump sums of bits, which in turn was distributed as a form of salary for the people of Sibeki.
However, without a proper economy, many people were left with a useless currency. Looking to their leader for answers, Sir Demirci had retrieved his manifests from the warehouse and scanned through each of them. He had vehicles that could work as merchant vessels, presenting wares, and others to work as food vendors. There were only three particularly culinary skilled people in Sibeki, some economic-minded and a few considerable for defending. Not to mention some of his newest Equestrian residents were talented in these field, which would do nicely.
Closing the manifest, Sir Demirci tucked them under his arm and left his study, making way for Sibeki's forum.

Derpy felt a knot in her stomach as she helped her sisters up and out of bed, or, what consisted of their beds, now that they emigrated to the township of Sibeki and Argamak. Their old dingy rented home would've been better, but as fate would have it, she was evicted for an unknown reason, and she couldn't challenge it with the owner thanks to the district economic policy. There were still the cons of living in Ponyville, an example is even with universal health care, the district had only two government sanctioned buildings, both being two-story stable complexes with rentable rooms, and unlucky for Ms. Hooves, she had one owned by Filthy Rich, who ejected her family from their home after failing to pay rent once more.
They were now living in a tent within ancient ruins, further away from their home and living on food supplies, of which were rationed out, leaving all three of them hungry. Unfortunately for Derpy, her sisters had lunch provided by the educational system.
“Come on, little muffins, let's get going...” She said with a tone of sadness, her sisters only nodding as their elder sister escorted them out into the streets. They were met by a few other downtrodden foals whom were also marching with their parents on their path to Ponyville.
However, as they were leaving, the young mare caught the sights of Sir Demirci, who waved her over with his hand. Slightly reluctant, she trotted towards him with her sister. Her reluctance was easily due to the fact that the town’s mayor looked as if he was literally made out ofmetal , and that scared her, in all honesty. Sir Demirci gave them each a smile. “Good morning, Ms. Hooves.”
“Hello, Sir Demirci, what do you need?” Derpy asked warily, the leader simply holding out two wooden boxes. Blinking once, the mare looked towards it then back to Sir Demirci, “Huh?”
Sir Demirci gave her a smile and nodded, “I refuse to allow the people or ponies of Sibeki and Argamak to go hungry, I've had these specially made for each and every person and pony. So here.” Derpy looked towards him in awe as Dinky levitated the boxes down to Dizzy and herself.
“Thank you, Mr. Demirci!” Both of the foals shouted, Derpy still looking a bit apprehensive, but not forgetting to give him a respectful bow.
“Have a nice day, you three.” Allowing them passage, the three of them gave the owner a farewell and continued on. Derpy's impression of him changed quite a bit that day.

After distributing food, Sir Demirci had then rounded up his targets and brought them into the Royal Board of Economics office, met by the liaison, Brass Scales. “How may the RBE serve you today, Sir Demirci?” Scales said politely, her office desk packed with dozens of files and various supplies.
“Good day, Ms. Scales. I've come to an agreement with a group of economic-minded citizens of Sibeki to establish a merchant caravan in order to help in generating revenue for the modernizing of Sibeki and Argamak.” He stated with a slight air of pride, the mare giving a smile as she pointed her hoof down the hall.
“Look for Plaster please, he's the one dealing with licensing...though Sir Demirci?” Scales said, lowering her tone and pitch to a point that only he could hear her through his cochlear implant. “Plaster's not exactly on...polite terms with humans, but he'll, at the least, get your license approved. Good luck, sir.” With a nod, the augmented man turned to his people and gave them an affirming nod.
Following Scales' direction, they were met by the sight of a rather thin-framed pegasus buck quietly organizing folders before he noticed the group, his eyes narrowing at the sight of Sir Demirci. “May I help you...sir?'
Sir Demirci responded with a wary look before speaking, “I require licensing for merchants, Class Two.” The pegasus gave him a blank look before nodding slowly and brought out multiple forms.
“As per Royal Board of Economics standards, you must submit each form together and wait for up to a week for processing. You will receive a notice with or without your licensing afterwards.” Taking the forms into his hand, Sir Demirci nodded to the others.
“Come, we'll have to wait.”
- Several Weeks Later -
“We've made decent headway into the locals of Mareposa, they seem to enjoy our foodstuffs and many ponies seem so keen to buy some of our trinkets.” Sir Demirci kept his hand pressed to his ear and nodded slowly,“Our maps show that we could reach Las Pegasus next, and then circle through to Trottingham and into Manehattan. After that we're clear to swing back through Fillydelphia and then route back home through Canterlot and Ponyville.”
HeStared at the map as his finger traced the line that the merchants were following before pressing his middle finger to his ear. “Scratch that, I want you to extend from Fillydelphia to Hoofington, then work into the ports of Baltimare. Trade there has been stronger than ever with the colonies.”
There was a pause in the radio,“Uhh...yes sir. Maps are updated and we'll head out in a few hours. Estimated we'll be back by mid-fall.”
“We'll await your return.” Returning his hearing back to normal, Sir Demirci nodded to himself and stepped out from the government office. It was another week until the RBE brought in a supply convoy, the three trains pausing by the town depot, unloading well underway. Watching as the various residents worked in unison with the ponies to unload and organize the supplies, he took notice that they slowly stopped and turned towards a nearby radio that was playing and huddled around it. Catching the station through his scanner, Sir Demirci activated his radio and pressed his finger up to his ear lobe.
“-n the times of modernization through our glorious industrial revolution, we of the House of Alicorns met personally to establish the newest ministry under government oversight. As our expansion into New Equestria continues, we have encountered threats that have plagued the earliest periods of our history. As of this day, the establishment of the National Military Bureau will mark the day we reach a milestone. No, we shall not become a warmongering state, my ponies, our newest bureau will be for peacemaking, and protecting of the common pony or anyone under our nation. Thank you for listening, and have a good evening.”

Celestia released her breath as she slumped forward in her executive chair, staring at the paperwork she had been slowly accruing over the span of the day while her sister was out on another expedition with a few of her aides around the local mountainside. Unlike her sister, even if they both had unlimited power compared to the rest of the government, they both agreed to a division in their workload; Celestia was set for the grunt work, mentoring at her school, and generally most of the management between the ministries and Parliament. Luna managed public relations, dealing with the demands of the people, and a few projects of her own as well. Mostly she was left to herself, with some mentoring lessons and checks here and there. This maintained harmony between the two in their shared office whenever either of them were in, but it would always ultimately boil down to minor threats and petty pranks between the two royal sisters.
However, something which was far out of Luna's jurisdiction, but not her knowledge, was the black operations she kept in the sidelines and out of the eyes of the public. During the earliest equestrian colonial periods, she had personally outfitted dozens upon dozens of miniature expedition units to explore the colony of New Equestria in search of any ancient structures. The ones that they found were ancient, predating the pony tribes by thousands of years. They had held knowledge from their time that could benefit the empire in the coming years.. If it hadn't been for Celestia and Luna locating a old vault system high in the mountains, of which they'd been searching for during the wedding, the entire revolution wouldn't have been conceptualized.
And with the uncovering of another installation in the colonies, the expeditions scientists reporting that the technology within was beyond the original vault. However, as it became evident, the technology found on some were clearly built for equine use, while others were more akin to someone with opposable thumbs and had electronics grafted to their body. Admittedly, she only knew one person that had such requirements, the only human she learned was 'augmented' to a scale that he could be roughly compared to a walking machine, and he was closer than expected to home. Immediately, the Princesses went to work, leaving the office. Placing her hoof on the receptionist’s desk, she addressed the pony sitting behind it. “Send out a summit alert for the ministers and all Parliament members of the House, and send word for Major Metro Light to find the Elements of Harmony and Sir Demirci. Lock down the conference rooms for immediate use.”

The Elements were rounded up from their odd jobs around Sibeki and escorted by a cadre of guards out of Sibeki while a splinter group divided to find Sir Demirci. Understandably, their employers at the time were vexed, but in the end became compliant as each were taken away one by one and marched down the well-beaten pathway leading to the isolated township. Finding Sir Demirci, the augmented human polishing his jackboots when they told him of his need. “Give me a few seconds, gentlemen...” The leader had said, disappearing into the manor for sometime.
Within, Sir Demirci unstrapped and slipped off his boots, setting them on a table and slowly slid his hand down the platform under, hearing a faint click and the platform detached. Setting it upright, he checked inside of it and found a completely field-stripped automatic pistol inside. Checking it over quickly, he reattached the platform. He then did the same with the other, which held four magazines of ammunition with engravings on each;FMJ, JHP, Inc., andAP. Checking each, Sir Demirci replaced each magazine and returned the platform. “Sir Demirci, the Princesses will not tolerate tardiness, please be quick.”
Sir Demirci redonned his boots and stopped short of the frame leading to the foyer of the manor to check himself over. He donned an orange dress shirt with a obsidian-black vest and matching pinstriped tie. Below that were dress pants a white sash in lieu of a belt. Looking closer towards himself, Sir Demirci could see the slight bulges under his skin which revealed critical nodes in his augmentation network, akin to a circulatory system that fed from the natural production of his organs, each of which were synthetically manufactured. Practically the only thing remaining that was relative to being a human was his brain, which he used physical augmentations. Even his blood was artificial, which itself served as a way of transporting energy to his organs and recycling his oxygen.
This choice was made when he was younger, during a period where augmentation surgery was an restricted practice in Europe. Due to natural disabilities and severe physical damage to his body, he volunteered for a full-body augmentation surgery before a large audience of over a hundred scientists who had flocked to the Spezialisierte Augmentation-Krankenhaus von Berlin to watch the surgery take place. Hours upon hours were poured into transforming him, and it paid off in the time of recovery that followed. After the surgery, he had endured weeks of lying in bed while his brain adjusted to the new appendages , weeks of building up the node network, two straight years of physical therapy and training, followed up by cognitive and electronics training. It reminded him that the only thing that was remotely left intact was his face, the rough and rugged example of aging and the ten years of abuse redefined his facial features. He was much more tanned, and his eyes were now divided between a rustic red and a steel grey, a sign that his eyes themselves were augmented on their own course.
“Sir Demirci! We cannot wait any longer!” The guard snapped, reciving a rather irritable look in return. Slipping his rimless glasses from his lapel and donning it, the man simply waved his hand back and forth at the guards, and began their rushed trek towards Ponyville.

Ponyville's Rail Terminal wasn't a true sight to behold beyond a small ticket station and a platform, but since the NORT's establishment, there had been a slight improvment in safety measures, an opposing station across, and doubling the rail systems. Both rails were occupied, one by the typical steam powered trains with the familiar fluttering gold-and-black flag of Stalliongrad District, a few well-built ponies and a buffalo offloading crates and boxes. Most trains coming in from Stalliongrad were almost twenty to thirty-five cars long, and offloading of the goods could even take days, often wreaking living hell on the Pegasi weather schedule due to the random time periods between shipping and arrival.
Next to the magnificent steam train was a smaller and more compact one, but with significantly more elegance and care into the design with just five cars. However, unlike the steam powered one, the train’s engine was the second car from the rest, and had a rather loud hum akin to an active electrical machine. Following behind was a passenger car, and what appeared to be a dining car, ending with a caboose. The most noted features were the cadre of guardsponies secured by sandbags, the empire flag waving lazily above. “Well...this is most certainly a new prospect...” Sir Demirci mused as he stepped into the passenger cart.
The interior was opulence with no expense, of which he had a slight distaste as he was waved over to a circular seating by the Mane Six. Giving them a warm smile, he took his seat in a independent chair next to Fluttershy and Applejack, the others taking up the circular seating. “The Princess ordered you too, Sir Demirci?” Twilight's question was almost immediate, the human nodded.
“This is the FOURTH time this year! Something’s really rustling the Princesses jimmies...” Rainbow Dash said irritably, gaining a few red faces and a sour look by Twilight and Rarity. “What? It's true!”
Sir Demirci let out a false cough as the train lurched out of the station and slowly gained speed as they passed through Ponyville, “Anyhow, we'll just have to see what's coming up. Anypony know how to play Blackjack?” Every hoof seemed to raise besides Fluttershy’s and Twilight’s, gaining Sir Demirci's curious amusement. “Alright, I'll give you two a run down.” Slipping out the deck of cards from his vest pocket, the augmented man slipped them out from their package and laid out by order of numbers. “The objective of Blackjack is for a person to reach, or come close to twenty-one in worth of cards.” He stated, pointing towards each card and quickly snatched up two eights and a five, showing them before returning to the deck. “An Ace,” he lifted a Ace of Spades up, “can be worth either one or eleven, but it's up to the dealer. Ours will be eleven.” Setting it back down, he then pointed out the Jacks, Queens, and Kings, “Face cards are worth ten, the rest are representing their numbers.”
“Is this just for fun, or are we making a bet?” Rarity asked, the others looking at each other before and talked quietly before settled on betting.
On their persons, each pony donated five bits to the pot as Sir Demirci had concluded his tutorial before placing his own bets to the table. Quickly dishing out a single card to each of them, Sir Demirci began their game.

Their game was finished only mere minutes before they reached Canterlot, and at the request of time, they were notified the train arrived just under thirty minutes and were preparing to digress from the standard rail lines. Twilight lagged a bit as she lowered the window enough to look out the window, and gaped as she noticed the looming city of Canterlot was fading into view, the standard rail line that led up towards the public stations were just above them, and instead their rail line was arching downwards. Jerking her head back in before her skull was pasted as they entered a underground tunnel, fluorescent lights flashed before them as they kept a medium pace, until it became clear what their target was.
All seven of them stared in awe as they passed through the caverns that once imprisoned Princess Cadance, the massive crystalline structures looming over and under their suspension rails as the high-speed train passed through and took an uphill route. Soon coming to a halt, an elegantly designed marble station came into view. The train pulled in and halted before the two Princesses, Celestia stern and Luna dire. Stepping off the train, Sir Demirci was the last to exit the locomotive, with his boots clattering against the fine stone. As he saw the royal sisters, he bowed before them. “Come, no time for formal banter.” Was all that Celestia stated, reciving some questioned looks by the six mares. Luna gave them a sympathetic smile.
Following up the endless flights of stairs and into the Parliament wing of the castle, they were brought into a conference hall housing the Ministers, some of the most well-known scientists (quoted by Twilight from theMannis Scientia recently published scientific news magazine), and a few familiar faces from the House of Alicorns, from Blueblood, much to Rarity's own disgust, to Cadance and Shining Armor. Sentiments subsided, the Mane Six took their seats while Sir Demirci stood at the side, watching as Luna took the podium.
“Oh-Three, today we've received information by in-field expedition agents into the New Equestrian territories. Beyond the establishment of new districts, and our active military agents minimizing the threat of revolts and chaos, Expedition Outfit Granite and Obsidian located an active but desolate outpost. Inspection has shown this base to be older than the Old Ponies themselves, and in utilization of a technology incapable of hooves.” Sir Demirci raised his eyebrow at this, gaining a few looks from the others. Luna continued, “This entire installation was found active, with a cache of scientific wealth that could surely speed up the industrial revolution twenty-fold if recovered. So far any attempts have been locked out to the incompatibilities.”
Soon enough Luna turned her eyes towards Sir Demirci, “We'll be requiring a humanoid creature with augmentations. Sir Demirci, you and the Elements are Harmony are hereby informally indicted into the Oh-Three.” Holding her hoof to halt any protests from the group, “You will have no choice but to accept, refusal will be met with denial. All seven of you will have a CME Train awaiting at Ponyville's terminal in one weeks time, prepare accordingly as you will be several weeks away from home. Now, onto further business..”
- One Week Later -
Following the mysterious meeting with the 'Oh-Three', the seven of them were divided on the concept of being forced to work for a mysterious organization ran by their royalty, not to mention Twilight's status in the House of Alicorns. Since then, the seven of them joined together at the library on the last day before they were to leave, a note from Luna telling them to use a fabrication that the Royal Scientific Board required all seven of them for a expedition to Fillyrock. Though it seemed to be met with approval with most who questioned them, a few were looking particularly skeptical of them, Applejack's family in notice. Sibeki's residents were still divided from the previous few months since they had become an autonomous community under the empire. But soon they were ready, with affairs set straight and prepared.
Standing at the rail terminal, Sir Demirci kept his duffel bag slung around his back, dressed in his usual outfit, with the addition of white dress shirt and what looked to be chest rigs to a weapons holster and various pouches. Slipping back his sleeve and followed up by the back of his hand and up to half-way to his arm, it was replaced by a miniature keyboard and screen, plus a knob on his arm popping out. Scanning out the screen, Sir Demirci's vision was filled by the screen, subconsciously turning the knob, the screen switching through various media files and other assortments of items stored and soon found what he wanted exactly and quickly replaced the plating, including his sleeve as he caught sight of the Mane Six trotting up onto the station.
Greeting them with a nod, they wasted little time finding their train; the only one in the depot. And sure enough they were speeding through the countryside and towards the far western district of Fillydelphia, per the orders.
- -
Several weeks later, and to the fears of the Mane Six about the 'strange wild weather' and how it felt different from home and the works, they arrived at their mysterious destination; a grand outpost overlooking the surrounding landscape and a grand encampment. Herded into the outpost without so much as a word beyond the commands, they were met by a rather bubbly mare with pale grey eyes who waved to them with overly-enthusiasm. “Hello, initiates!” She practically bounced over towards them, her wild grey hair sporadically going over the place, her white fur and hide splotched with a diversity of colorful stains. She wore a third-rate engineer barding , kept together with a variety of other articles. “My name is Polar Cap, Chief Engineer of the 5th Wrench Fillies Division and your assigned overseer for the time being. May I ask your names?” She stuck out her hoof, Sir Demirci shaking it with a smile.
“Sir Julius G.C. Demirci of Argamak and Sibeki.” Giving her a polite bow, Polar followed in suit.
“Twilight Sparkle.”
“Applejack.”
“Rarity.'
“F-Fluttershy...”
“Pinkie Pie!” At the notice of the name, Polar and Pinkie both infused their similar personalities, quickly befriending each other before being broken up by Sir Demirci.
“Rainbow Dash.”
After introductions, Polar quickly began their tour of the Old Ponies facility. First stop was the main building, which looked to be a giant shanty that was cleared out by the resident workers. “The Old Ponies had plenty of these outposts scattered all over Equestria. All the professors back at the academy always said they were military, but I disproved them with that maneframe that Mister Demirci's here for!” Giving the mare a blank look, she continued on, “My thesis said that they were actually like clouds, except they store information and not Pegasi!” Following her from the main building, they came across a smaller one taken over by the security. “This was supposed to be the cafeteria and bedding, but it was cleared out once we found i-”
“Polar Cap!” The mare went rigid as she turned towards the sound; a very stern and sour-looking magenta-coated Unicorn with red eyes marched towards her. “I thought I made it absolutely clear that minimal contact with the initiates, and it looks like you can't keep your damn muzzle shut. Now shut your damn mouth, and get back to work!” Polar gave them a weary goodbye and walked off, Sir Demirci taking note of this and walked towards the Unicorn.
“What's your problem?” The unicorn looked towards the augmented man with a frown before turning around, about to leave until she felt a great pressure on the back of her neck and loud scraping noise as she dragged back and forced to the ground. Clearly she could hear the voice again, except with a much darker tone, “Initiate or not to some whack fuck order, I don't take it lightly seeing other people abuse their position over another person, manager or not. Do NOT ever fucking do something like this again, or my fist will be the last thing you'll see.” Releasing the unicorn, Sir Demirci turned towards the awe-struck and slightly fearful Mane Six, “Lets get this the over with, I don't wish to be in this hellhole of a land any longer.” Watched over by the guards, the seven of them left the unicorn in shock.
Compliance was unanimous from the mares as they descended into the reaches of the main building, Applejack and Pinkie Pie diverging when they caught sight of a distressed and bawling Polar Caps. The others kept pace with Sir Demirci as he marched deeper and deeper, soon coming across hard-working archaeologists and other assorted workers, many of them giving Sir Demirci the largest berth possible as they were frankly scared witless seeing the sight of an augmented human. Though one'brave' manager showed them to where Sir Demirci was needed and escorted him to the deepest depths of the structure, before what he could acclaim was the most complex-looking computer in existence.
The large cylindrical room spiraling around a series of interconnected computer clusters in a spiral like pattern leading down towards the ground floor, and from their position, the apex was impossible to see. “Oh...my...” Fluttershy whispered.
Rainbow Dash bolted up and weaved through the catwalks and massive wiring. Soon enough they heard the echo of her voice. “I can't see the top of this thing!” she rang. Soon coming back down, she landed gracefully on her hooves and frowned as they watched Sir Demirci find his way up into the elevated position facing the spiral. Soon a voice echoed across the room:“Viable subject detected; Augmentations confirmed. Please standby.” Sir Demirci turned towards the Mane Six with a look of surprise as a group of guards barged into the room and stopped as they watched the human turn around and stare at the spire.“Subject confirmed; Emergency Protocol Thena-Pluto active. Welcome, Descendant and/or Relative of 'Doctor Mateu Didac.' Please standby . H olographic monitors activat ing .”
“Julius! Julius!” The shouts were deafened as Sir Demirci's auditory sensors overloaded and practically burst. Before him were glowing levitating monitors with a diversity of colors.
“Augmentation nodes copy-store operations active. Please confirm.” A crimson screen appeared before him, and slowly raised his hand towards the imprint on the screen, much to the protests of the Mane Six as they were held back by the guards, Pinkie and Applejack joining the group with Polar Caps. Sir Demirci placed his hand to the monitor, and then he felt the true force of knowledge.
Letting out an almost inhuman scream of pain, the ponies watching on as a torrential rain of data codes floating within the holographic screens assault the human before the conduit slowed to a stop.“Maneframe copy-storage complete, please standby.” Sir Demirci was lowered towards the ground, soon restoring his auditory sensors and stumbled against a railing and placed a hand towards his forehead and breathed in slowly before looking up towards the crowd before him, slowly fading in and out as a slew of warnings reported overloading and strains on his augmentation software were starting to spawn a possible critical failure.
And then he heard it, a deafening ping echoing across the structure, and a dull thunk registered against his chest, squarely at his heart. Looking down, he saw the tail of a unknown item that could be no larger than a twenty millimeter bullet carved into his chest, a warm pleasant feeling, as if a fast-acting depressant had affected his system. Not to mention he noticed his suit was stained beige, his synthetic blood spilling out from the crushed ribcage of his skeletal structure. Feeling an oncoming panic attack, Sir Demirci looked towards the now shocked crowd, watching as the Mane Six daringly galloped up the steps and towards him, only registering the second thunk before he fell to the ground with a loud thud.
- -
Princess Celestia watched solemnly towards the distance as her mind was preoccupied with a large variety of things, noting the sound of a thunk as a figure appeared from the balcony to her side, it’s entire body enshrouded in a cosmic appearance, two unblinking white eyes staring at her dully. The familiar sound of a suave and light voice emanating from it,“He's nearly dead, I've disabled most of his system after it was fed.”
Celestia only nodded once, “Overkill?” She let out a sigh as it shook it’s head and looked towards the moon and back towards her.
“The maneframe was registered to Doctor Mateu Didac. The presence of that human could cause a complete and utter paradox if it wasn't for this night. Why did you wish for me to force an evolutionary change in it?”
The Princess paused for a moment, feeling a cold sweat wash over her coat and slowly spoke, “The change was for the better of Equestria...”
“Do you take me for a fool, Princess Celestia? There's another thing you have planned and I can feel your emotions. An excuse would only make way for more. So really, tell me why?”
“Just watch and observe. It'll run its own course in due time.”
“Pffft...strange immortals. I'll ensure the conduit remains alive, but you'll owe me for this.”
Leaving her in the darkness, Celestia remained quiet to muse over her thoughts.
- -
The first thing that Sir Demirci felt as his augmentations slowly booted up one by one was that he couldn't feel his arms, legs, or even feel his own face. Slowly feeling his optics began their standard cycle, a warning flashed through both, exclaiming that he would be temporarily disabled from any other beyond standard color vision pendingspecies changing. Confused, Sir Demirci raised his arm towards his hand, his optics flaring when he noticed the fact he didn't have a hand...
He had ahoof...
“Dear sweet merciful Old Father!” His voice echoed, the man stumbling from bed and falling muzzle-first into the ground. A dull throb was registered before naturally-made painkillers dulled the painful landing. Lifting onto his forelegs, Sir Demirci took a hoof forward and moved again, proceeding to collapse into a heap. Attempting further resulted in him able to stand but unable to actually walk without collapsing in a heap, but fortune had it that he was placed in front of a mirror.
He was most certainly tall, no higher then his human form, six foot two inches, his gaunt frame showing the difference between being a human and pony, and the morphed frame that was once his exoskeletal structure was replaced with living hide. His mane was dirty blond, unkempt, and looked as if stain blotches coated it. Staring back towards him were his eyes; a rustic red from augmentation surgery and his natural steel grey. He looked at himself in a mix of shock and horror before slumping down to his haunches.
“Julius? Are you ok-” Applejack's voice said, pushing the ward open and catching the sight of the gargantuan stallion, her eyes went wide. “O-Oh, sorry there big fella, was lookin' fer somepony e-” Applejack was caught off by the same shocked sight as her and spoke.
“Applejack? Què dimonis em va passar a mi? Què diables va passar?” He looked desperately at her, the stetson-wearing mare taking a step back as the stallion took one step towards her and collapsed into a heap, his frantic foreign tongue reaching out to her in desperation.
Soon Applejack was met by the others, each with their own look of shock or awe at the sight before there was a almost silent click, picked up by Fluttershy before the frantic stallion spoke, “What happened!? Why am I a pony!?” His desperation and fear were tensing the air as he attempted to stand, only to collapse into a further heap. “Celestia damn these hooves!” Sir Demirci's teeth pressed together as he attempted to stand again, this time on shaking hooves. Before he felt himself about to drop again, a hoof wrapping around his foreleg and magic enveloping his other, glancing to see Twilight giving him a smile.
Soon enough he was being assisted by the rest of the Mane Six, taking tips and pointers to adjust his posture after being calmed. “This is just....impossible! Julius, do you remember anything?” Twilight probed, the stallion shook his head, taking in sharp breaths as he shifted his hindleg to adjust with Applejack's slack, feeling his foreleg adjust with Twilight before her foreleg and magic field slipped out from his and watched as Sir Demirci finally stood independently. “Nothing...?” Again his head shook as Applejack nudged his side and had him slowly move forward, only for him to stumble and regain his composure. “What do you remember?”
The human-turned-stallion carefully tried again, this time with moderate success as he looked down at the four foot mare and focused, “...I remember....only seeing Pinkie Pie and Applejack leave them to comfort Polar Caps...and something about not being able to see something. Everything else is just...blank.” Twilight caught the others looks of worry and patted Sir Demirci on his side.
“Come on...lets try to get you walking before we do anything else..” Sir Demirci nodded, the Mane Six supporting him as they began what felt like years of physical therapy.
- -
Only ten minutes had passed when Sir Demirci was starting to gain the hang of being quadrupedal when they were called over by a familiar white coated mare waving her foreleg towards them. Adjusting, they helped Sir Demirci over towards Polar Caps, who looked up towards him in curiosity before noticing his eyes and looked in awe, “S-Sir Demirci?” He simply nodded as she attempted to comprehend just what she was seeing before poking him in the muzzle, receiving a whinny from the stallion, “Oh who cares, I'm just happy you're okay!” She stated rather loudly and embraced the stallion in a hug, giving him a rather overfriendly kiss on the cheek, much to the discomfort and embarrassment of the stallion.
“Thank you for everything, Sir Demirci. You stuck up for me, a complete stranger, in front of the field commander. Nopony else did the same for me, and I can't show how much my gratitude is!” Sir Demirci smiled before returning the hug, the Mane Six letting out a collective “aww” before Rainbow Dash piped up, “Get a room, you two!”
Sir Demirci let go of the mare, his face even further turning red as Polar simply stuck her tongue out at Dash before looking back up to Sir Demirci, “Umm...Sir Demirci? Could you do me a favor?” Receiving a nod, she continued on, “I...would appreciate it if you could talk to Dr. Galileo and see if he could transfer me over to Ponyville District's Science Bureau?”
The stallion's eyebrow raised even further, “And why is that?”
Polar sheepishly rubbed her foreleg before speaking up, “Because...my new friends live there?” Sir Demirci looked towards the Mane Six, all of them nodding in response before looking back to Polar, “Umm...since you've been out for a days, I just made friends with them, and I really don't like staying here in the colonies at all. Could you please?”
Releasing a sigh, Sir Demirci looked her straight in the eyes and nodded, the mare giving him another appreciative hug before giving them all a goodbye and bouncing her way towards the reception and out the double doors. Turning to the Mane Six, he stared at them for a few seconds before they continued training him to walk with four legs, instead of the simpler two-leg method he was used to as a human.
- -
After several days of training, Sir Demirci was able to walk independently without support, albeit unable to do much beyond a trot, and rear onto his hindlegs. However, in lieu he still had perfect grasp of his augmentations and most of his functionality. And after a final test given by his assigned doctor, the human-turned-stallion was now prime for transfer over to the mainland and release. Taking his time to keep himself well-balanced, he soon found that they'd brought him back to Fillyrock, the bustling port city in a flurry as they passed through a crowded sidewalk. There were power trains of the familiar vehicles used by the Scientific Board pulling wagons and trailers covered up and kept heavily secure with a proper battalion of guardsponies.
The walk to the harbor was filled with awe, curious stares, and even a few actively moving away from the giant out of fear. Sir Demirci kept his slow pace, only returning the stare with a sharp look of irritation and focusing as the software for his display actively sought out every detail of the ponies around him, from their current disposition, scents, stature, and even copied pictures of them into the 'personnel' section of his cerebral storage banks. Passing by shops, vendors, Sir Demirci was almost dragged to the ground as one particularly grabby vendor tried to whisk him off towards Celestia-knows-where, only to be stopped by the Mane Six.
Escaping to the harbor, they were soon met by the magnificent sight of Princess Luna standing before them as ponies from their own walks of life boarded the residential ship. Luna gave them a warm smile but paused at the sight of Sir Demirci and widened as she craned her neck to look at his face and noticed the distinctive heterochromic eyes and slowly spoke, “W...What manner of trickery has become of you, Sir Demirci!?”
The stallion's eyes shot open as his optics flared with renewed vigor as they checked every aspect of Luna before settling on shock and awe. “Princess Luna....I...can't explain, I don't remember anything...” Luna continued to gawk at the sight before Twilight stepped in.
“Princess, he's...been hurt by something we cannot understand what, but he's been transmuted into a pony. We need to see Celestia right away...”
Luna wasted no time at the request, “Very well then, come, we'll have the personal transport prepared for our arrival. But for now, Sir Demirci, we would like to politely request that your person remain within your own stateroom for the remainder of this cruise.” Complying, the Mane Six helped the stallion onto the ship, silencing rather discontent ponies when they notice just why he's delayed, and a simple stare from Luna sent the more physical ones back into a quiet minority.

Following several days returning to Fillydelphia, the seven of them were taken onboard the personal train of the royalty, which had them launching through the landscape and reaching the capital in a nerve-wracking forty minutes. There they were escorted almost immediately to a debriefing room and spent the latter part of twelve hours reciting, word-by-word , their own recollection of the event, which had them up late into the night until they were dismissed by Celestia, cryptically stating that Sir Demirci was simply at the 'wrong place and wrong time' and placed him under the care the Mane Six until he could grasp being a pony. This set off many red lights for Sir Demirci, but simply surrendered and accepted it. But he knew there were other plans in his mind for what was to come.
It'd been well over twenty-four hours since they arrived in Canterlot, and after discussing Polar Caps with Luna and having her transfer papers pushed through with lightning speed, after bidding her a goodnight, he took to action. In the day he's been here, he was gifted a slew of items by the Mane Six; A charcoal black saddlebag with a safety rig around his chest complete with extra pouches to store his items, specially made by Rarity at his request and design. A neon pink hoofwatch by Pinkie Pie, so to “be the master of time”, as Pinkie put it. A black-and-moss button-up shirt that had similar qualities to Daring Do, bought by Rainbow Dash that somehow fit him quite comfortably. Following up was a rose by Fluttershy he pinned to his shirt, directly over his right lung, enchanted by Twilight to survive without its stem, only requiring the sun to survive. And finally, what struck him the most was a picture kept in his shirt pocket of the Mane Six, autographed by each of them as a reminder of who their friends were.
Securing his items and the harness over his shirt, Sir Demirci checked over them; he had 'borrowed' a sum of Bits from Twilight's room, a few provisions from the kitchens, and a proper map of Equestria and surrounding regions. Escaping from the grounds was simple enough with the graveyard shift. Only four to six guardsponies active on the battlements, a few patrolling the guards, and a squadron of Pegasi circling overhead. He slipped out from the gates and into the streets of Canterlot.
Avoiding the late night aristocratic population, and avoiding more patrols, he reached the gates when he knew that tingling feeling from the back of his head and found himself almost muzzle-to-muzzle with Applejack, who didn't seem to show any positive reaction to his presence. “And what d'yah think yer doin' out here, sugarcube?”
The stallion refrained from making a scowl, “I'm leaving, Applejack.”
Applejack's ears dropped low when the words connected to her mind and responded, “Why? Ain't ‘cha happy here?”
He refrained from a snort and looked towards her with a hint of sadness, “Applejack...why would I be happy? The entire trip I've been stuck inside staterooms, a hospital ward, and inside a caravan for weeks on end only to become something...something I've only encountered for a few months.” He let out a shudder-filled sigh and continued, “I don't even know if I'm an actual pony, or just a cyborg with a pony’s body.” This struck Applejack a bit as she noticed the sadness in his voice. “I...just wish to be alone for a while, just...to think. Or something along those lines.”
No amount of debate, or how heated it became would budge the stallion from leaving until both were fighting back tears. “J-Julius...atleast p-promise y'all come back and v-vist us....” The stallion nodded, closing the gap between them and giving her a final hug, the mare responding by, out of the blue, kissing him on the lips which left the stallion confused, hot faced, and still tearful as she slipped off her stetson and handing it to him. “S-Sorry fer that....kinda a Apple family tradition to see off friends...but please take this, Julius. Just to remind ya of where yer home is.” Biting his teeth, Sir Demirci doffed the hat and gave her a final look before disappearing into the night, Applejack watching before turning and into a squadron of guards.
“Miss Applejack, we've been requested by Princess Luna to escort you back to the castle, as per the district curfew for those under twenty-five years of age.” The leader, a bright orange mare with silver eyes, stated with a hint that she was in less of a mood to deal with denial. The young mare simply nodded and walked off towards the castle, flanked from all sides as they marched through the streets.
- -
“I can't believe it, Julius is gone!” Twilight repeated again as the city was in a uproar, the five of them in exception to Applejack, watched from their shared balcony as squadrons of Pegasi, legions of Earth Ponies and Unicorns pass through the streets in search of the missing person. It felt strange seeing a military so active, unlike the peaceful township, in exception to the frequent guards coming into the township from the nearby garrison.
However, Applejack refused to leave her room and was last seen in a less-than-perfect disposition, appearing to have been crying non-stop and refused to talk to talk, comprehensible to the point she got out was that she wanted to be left alone for a while. Their curiosity was squashed at the mention of her before, opting to not press her further.
Soon enough it became evident the leader was long gone from the city, and an all-points-bulletin was placed on his head to be returned to the capital alive. But to everypony else....he was gone like a specter from their peripheral vision.
Mr. Crowley By: Die Philosophen - - “Bedding a mare is good. Bedding two mares is great. Bedding three mares is awesome. But a stallion bedding SEVEN mares? I don't think that's even possible...” Unknown Bar Patron - -
An entire year had passed since the disappearance of Sir Demirci, once again making national headlines and causing a major uproar amongst the government, nearly causing all-out riots amongst the human populace. Waves of soldiers washed throughout their districts until eventually they were ordered to demobilize, and soon the nation-wide manhunt was dismissed without any results. This had received heavy negative reception, and soon accusations were flying out from the humans as they accused the princesses of orchestrating a conspiracy to gain control of their land, which in response started a literal 'cold war' in the parliament when Régis first came to power.
A few heated weeks passed in parliament before Régis was arrested for assault, and the repercussions were to an epic scale when the Princesses proclaimed that Sibeki would have it’s independence dissolved and be fully integrated into the empire. Pacification would begin immediately. Until their leader reclaimed his position, the people would be governed directly by the House of Alicorns. The ensuing fallout caused another uproar, until, non-violently, they were silenced by Celestia's hoof, the leader shifting from her usually benevolent and peaceful demeanor into a irate and very short tempered ruler. In response to their claims, the Princess noted the fact that they had brought it upon themselves, and that no matter what their justifications were, they were in no position for negotiations after Régis' actions, and that they seemed to show their'true selves' now that they were left unchecked by their leader, Sir Demirci. The result was forced compliance, and the humans experienced Celestia’s first-hand anger when martial law was emplaced on to every human from child to elder until the pacification could begin. The forced compliance policy which was emplaced also brought Argamak under the highest guard as farmers were escorted to and from the mesa. Residential ponies were met with cold reception. Though not very vocal, it was slowly but surley growing.
Despite the quickly rising tensions between the humans and government, the ponies had fond memories of Sir Demirci's first appearance in public, when the augmented man had delivered his charisma-blanketed speech to Parliament. They remembered his dedication to the unification of his own people with the ponies to help bring them a better life, which sadly was forgotten, thanks to the recent fear mongering and distrust between the two races.
On more personal events in Equestria, the adoption of Scootaloo by the only and only Rainbow Dash was given warm reception by friends and residents, the denizen orphan of Ponyville positively elated.

Concerning Sibeki's residential ponies, many had a hoof in the swift construction of the first township with the new concept of 'modern city planning' and 'revolutionary architecture' in mind. Specialized construction workers and overseers helped to pave asphalt pathways and buildings designed with the 'Lunarian' architecture, it’s eclectic designs influenced by the artistic style recovered from the Old Ponies, as well as from the Princess’ own personal artistic designs, giving the township a unique blend of old and new. To balance the modern designs with the so-called “harmony of nature”, as she put it, Lunaria ordered the establishment of subterranean aqueducts for the purpose of feeding the artificially placed flora within the township.
As a result of the establishment of a unpaved road and a railroad system which eliminatied the need for caravans to bring in the supplies with rail terminals resulted in much faster and more convenient transportation between the two districts.

In the weeks following the end of the manhunt, headlines were blazing about the appearance of a mysterious pony who was coined the“ Indiana Stallion ” . Ponies claimed him to be taller and more muscular than an average pony, and dress in a mysterious attire that gave him a mysterious appearance. He went from the mainland to the colonies, helping along the way many ponies who needed their help. There were interviews with travelers who claimed to have had the mysterious stallion help them during the errant weather in New Equestria, seen guardsponies being assisted in dealing with bandits and other kinds of less-than-reputable persons, and farmers who claim to have had the stallion watch over them as they passed through crime-infested areas and get their produce to their destination safely.
Painted with a strong, but shy and silent exterior, he rarely spoke, and when he did it was in a cryptic voice that gave him a rather strange air. However, those distant views of the stallion mostly came from Old Pony’s structures, a few daring come back with apparent gifts from the stallion, each wrapped in some form of white velvet-like fabric with colorful lace ties.
As the news about the stallion continued to spread, he gradually began to receive larger government support in the form of body armor, essentials, money. The works. His use as a public figure skyrocketed his reputation, which gave way to a growing fanbase, which created a domino effect when they began setting out 'awards' for the national hero, even going so far as to make his own cameo appearance in the annually published Daring Do series in the forty-ninth book. As a result of such requests, the government awarded the stallion multiple medals and ribbons for his services, which were placed on public display due to the fact that they were unable to award him in public due to an inability to locate him. Requests were answered only by refusals, and as a result the public displays were created.
With the fanbase slowly growing, each exploit reaching across the empire and beyond, and his newfound status as a national hero, the truth the stallion attempted to show was outright denied in favor. Refusing to accept himself as a hero, the true Indiana Stallion had planned to show the hard fact of who he was.

“Okay, we tried almost everything that Julius gave us, and STILL we don't have our cutie marks...” Scootaloo's complaints were met with murmurs of agreement by the other Crusaders. It took them almost the entire year since Julius’ disappearance to complete his list of possible things they could do to get their cutie marks. From practicing alchemy with Zecora to story writing, each item on the list had failed to yield any results.. Even with all five of them working together, it still wouldn't be enough.
The Crusaders, consisting of Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Dinky and Dizzy Hooves, were failing once more in their penultimate crusade. The list they had been given by Sir Demirci was a series of connected papers that reached as high as all five of them standing on each other’s backs, and they tore through it faster than what was expected. Now they were out of luck, and out of ideas, with exception to Dinky.
“I got an awesome idea!” She exclaimed, the others turning to the pale purple unicorn as she raised her hoof. “We could be patrol ponies! Y’know, and keep watch over Ponyville like all the real guards!”
With Dinky’s notion being met with unanimous approval, they immediately put the idea to formation, and the five of them began debating what they should do after class ended. However, the others hadn't realized that Dizzy had noticed their first target and quickly pointed him out, the Crusaders springing to action as they deterred from their walk and quickly took cover, watching their target. He was tall. M uch taller th a n Big Macintosh , Apple Bloom thought, and looked more muscular under his barding. He also wore a small smoky black coat over his body with a shemagh covering most of his facial features, the rest covered in a light brown stetson akin to her elder sister.
Evaluating him, they considered this pony to be a threat from his looks, and they all watched as he glanced around his area before sharply turning towards them with his eyes turning wide, and with her most authoritative tone, Apple Bloom shouted. “Stop right there, suspect!”
Clearly, they could see that he was a stallion from under his shemagh, but he wasn't about to give up to a group of fillies, so he took flight. Quickly the Crusaders chased after him, Scootaloo thankfully bringing her scooter along as she used her wings to propel herself forward and towards the stallion, feeling the ground below her shudder with each landing of his hooves against the ground. Beating her wings faster and faster, the young pegasus, soon at equal speed, grasped his cloak in her teeth and jerked to a halt. A loud tearing noise filled the air before the cloak tore off and went flying, the shemagh undone. The Crusaders quickly continued their chase before stopping when they found the stallion trapped in a alleyway.
Cornering him, the five of them stopped at the sight of the stallion, his monolithic frame staring down towards them before his eyes shot open, steel grey and rustic red. The five fillies watched as the stallion proceeded to slam his hoof inches away from them, causing all five to shoot back in fear before the stallion crouched low and launched himself over the wall, striking the Crusaders with awe as their target disappeared. Soon enough, Apple Bloom spoke up, “Uh, girls, did we just see the Indiana Stallion!?”

The mid-morning residents were in a uproar, some actively chasing the sight of the Indiana Stallion, said pony figuratively tearing up the cobblestone as he attempted to evade the ponies. Soon enough the stallion used his wits and skill to find a hiding spot that kept the pursuing ponies away from him and making sure he didn't accrue even more ponies onto his case. However, what he didn't expect to see were seven mares surrounding his alcove, and as the stallion's ears descended, he took a seat and sighed in defeat. The seven mares looked curiously at him, the stallion looking towards each of them before the silence became awkwardly strained as each of their eyes shot wide, and without a word, the stallion realized just who these seven mares were.
No doubt, the two awkwardly staring at each other were none other then the Mane Six and Polar Caps, connecting two and two together before realizing that the stallion was none other than the one and only human-turned-stallion, Sir Demirci. The awkwardness increased when Sir Demirci noticed their blushing faces, and the realization that all seven of them were actually fan fillies of his persona. “Well....ah...hello again...everypony?” He awkwardly asked, their faces reddening even further. No longer were they seeing the gaunt monolith of a stallion that stumbled like a newborn colt, instead they were seeing a national icon, who looked much different with a improved physique and stature.
“...Julius...” Was all that he heard from Applejack before things started to heat up.

After things calmed down, the eight of them stealthily returned to the library with the utilization of a group teleportation spell performed by Twilight. Settling in temporarily, the stallion began his tale, and all eight of them settled around a table that Spike had put out for them. It stretched on for well over two hours, his tales ranging from his general adventures, exciting battles, and the long time he took to understand himself. What engrossed them was when Sir Demirci remarked that Daring Do was an actual adventurer, but her self-written adventure series was somewhat fictional, though this didn't stop Rainbow from showing her fanfilly side for both of them, only to be stopped by her friends from causing any more discomfort to the stallion. The tale was stopped short when Spike retched a scroll out across the table, landing in front of Twilight. What was odd about this scroll was it’s navy blue lace paired with a wax seal of the same color.
Twilight untied the lace with her telekinetic field, slipped it open, and swiftly read it before looking towards Spike. “Spike, I need you to get an entire encyclopedia set onPolitics and R vision Eight for Princess Luna, and a copy ofTheories of Old Pony Politics. ” The dutiful assistant quickly went through the shelves and retrieved the requested books, totaling up to three stacks of five books each, tied up in binds and ready for shipping back to the shared office of the Princesses. However, before they sent the letter, Twilight paused and looked towards the stallion, the others looking towards him as well before she gave him a questioning look.
The stallion let out a lengthy sigh before looking in her directly and slowly nodded. “Tell her.”
Almost immediately, an empty scroll, a graphite-tipped quill, and her swift telekinesis were put to use to write down a notice to the princess about their newest'guest.'
Shipping off the stacked books with the note, Spike had taken a seat after exerting most of his energy. A dozen tense minutes passed before there was a sharp rapping noise from the door, and barely before the drake was able to reach the door it was torn from its hinges as a cadre of the Princess’ own Vanguard marched in. Mixed in was maroon-and-charcoal, navy blue, and dark purple tinted plate armor. Immediately they surrounded Sir Demirci, their leader speaking out with a monotone but authoritative voice. “Sir Demirci, as per the capture-and-detain order set by the Princesses, and admission to your identity as Indiana Stallion, you and your companions will be brought to Canterlot for immediate questioning. Surrender immediately and force will not be utilized.”
Sir Demirci willingly surrendered himself, but not before all seven of the mares joined in, their claims to being companions shocking the stallion, and soon enough they were led with some force by the Vanguard towards the rail terminal, as the familiar train that took them to Fillydelphia waited for them on the tracks..
- -
Their swift arrival and march through the familiar opulent castle was blocked in lieu of the Vanguard's platemail as they were brought down a familiar corridor and were soon taking seats in the familiar conference room. Takingtheir seats, all eight of them turned their sights towards the serious-looking Luna and the faintly smiling Celestia. To each of their sides were a group of scribes, their hooves, mouths, and telekinetic field poised to write down on scrolls, one with audio recording equipment in addition. “Welcome, India-, er...., Sir Demirci. It's been quite some time since you stepped hoof inside the castle grounds. How are you?” The latter spoke with unnatural smoothness, much to Sir Demirci's suspicion.
“I have been...busy, dear Celestia. Very much busy.” The scribes were swift, writing down each word as it was spoken.
“Would you care to tell me of your...vacation from the mainland?”
Sir Demirci let out a sigh before looking her in the eyes, the Princess noting his appearance was much different to Luna's description; originally he looked ready to collapse from malnutrition, barely able to walk without tripping over his own hooves, and had strange bumps all across his body. What she was seeing was a perfectly fed, quite muscular pony, who overall had changed in that simple year. The stallion sighed and nodded slowly, “I hid in the only place that nopony would've looked. The dragon cave high in the mountains.” Celestia's eyebrow raised as the seven mares shared a collective gasp. “Two of your own personal Vanguards found me, in truth.” He looked away and let out a sigh before looking both Princesses straight in the eyes, “You know which two, Princess? The two who came back from the mountains without their armor and battered so severely that they were forced to take three months of medical leave?”
The amount he knew about the two was almost staggering to Celestia, but keeping her head clear, she nodded. “I know very well of the two you speak of, and they're not very grateful for your attack. As a result the manhunt was called off before you could cause any more damage to any of my subjects. If I may ask, could you please tell the scribes in some detail, what happened?”
“To begin, I was hiding out inside the cavern for a couple days, siphoning off of a nearby mining camp when I could before they arrived. I couldn't tell what happened, but I blanked out when a command prompt requested that I enable a secondary defense mechanism. When I woke up the two Vanguards were unconscious. I stripped them of their equipment, some miscellaneous items and left them to be found in the open. I only took bits of their armors, greaves, curiass, and under-barding, as well as a few extra pieces. After packing myself, I made my way down and escaped in the nick of time, a wing of Pegasi having come in just as I made way into the surrounding landscape.”
Celestia slowly nodded, “And what became of their armor?”
“Melted.”
Celestia perked up. “Melted?”
“‘Pissed off the wrong kind of dragon. ‘Chased me off.”

Hours passed on as the stallion divulged a year and a half worth of information based on his collective memory, reaching upwards toward thirty plus scrolls and three recorded tapes that were carried off for review. Having some lunch brought to them, they enjoyed some more calmed discussion and updated each other about more recent news before they were finished eating.
Celestia rose from her seat and looked towards Twilight with a small smile before speaking, “Sir Demirci, I would like to extend to you and your friends to stay here in Canterlot for a couple of days, help your friend adjust from quite a exhilarating adventure.” This was met with strong approval, even from the stallion, of whom the Princess looked towards next, “Sir Demirci, I would like to personally extend to you an offer to come and receive the medals and awards you have earned in a public appearance. I would also enjoy it if you could accompany us to meet the House of Alicorns. Everypony else is invited to attend as well.” Agreements were, as usual, universal.
Most of the meetings were brief, but quite polite to the stallion as he met Sir Shining Armor, Field Commandant of the Guards, and to the stallion's surprise, Twilight's elder brother. Prince Blueblood, of whom the two seemed to have a mutual dislike for each other. Various other minor aristocrats with blood ties to the Princesses, and finally Princess Cadance.
Finding her admist some forms of work with Luna, from Sir Demirci's notices, were the same books sent by Twilight. Easily the stallion noticed he was taller than the Alicorn, standing just a foot higher compared to Celestia, who stood a towering eight feet tall. The Princess gave him a warm smile that practically melted with kindness, of which the stallion returned to the shock of the Mane Six was a formal Canterlot introductory to royalty, his bow and kissing of her hoof mixed in with his smoothest voice possible. This slightly embarrassed the Princess, interested Celestia, and caused the seven ponies to fidget in bouts of jealousy.
“You certainly know your mannerisms, Sir Demirci, but I would like for us to talk as equals.” Cadance requested, the stallion nodding with a smile.
As time slowly passed, the eight of them began to discuss various other minor topics, and the mares began to complain that they were beginning to get a pink tint in their vision and strange feelings of dizziness.
“Uhh, Julius...do you feel weird?” Twilight asked him, her speech slurring slightly as the purple unicorn weaved back and forth errantly.
“I do...but I want something...like I seriously just want it...but I dunno what.” Dash responded, her own errant movement making way for her wings to suddenly flare and nearly strike Pinkie Pie and Rarity across the face, her cheeks glowing red.
“Uhh...Rainbow?” Sir Demirci asked. As the mare was looking towards him, he noticed her eyes were slightly glazed over...
The stallion shot up fast enough in realization before he was struck directly in the head by Princess Cadance. She quickly began to apologize, and the seven mares were about to take action when Celestia followed up, striking them with a surge of magic. The stallion felt his systems, one by one, enter hibernation mode as he slumped lazily to the ground. Polar Caps fell into him and fell unconscious, her eyes rolling up to the back her of head. Julius Looked towards the leader of the nation and grimaced as she gave him a tear-filled smile, “You...fucking....animal....I knew it....I just...fuckin'...knew....it.”
{System Hibernation Mode Active} {Activating REM-level Artificial Sleep Mode} {Goodnight, Mr. Demirci} - -
When Sir Demirci came to, his systems were disoriented and slow to come to speed as his vision flashed with warnings and notices of imminent danger and a forced emergency protocol. Activating his optics, he came upon the sight of Celestia looking over him while surgeons prepped an operating room. “Put him back under, and make sure he doesn't come to again.” He noticed that his drug antibodies were actively suppressed and attempted to counter, only to find that his system denied any form of response as a surgeon brought with him a needle filled with a grey substance. Staring down at the stallion, he heard one last sentence;
“Despite it all, Mr. Demirci. I do believe that you would be much better off as Mr. Jusaiyn instead, and I know you'd agree to wish for a new life. After all, you're a pony now, and you deserve a life as one.”
His systems then fell into emergency shut-down, and his consciousness was deactivated.
