An Illusionist's Discontent

Experimental Fiction

This story takes place a few months after the events of magic duel, in those halcyon days before princesses of friendship and exploding libraries, where we'll see a chapter in the story of a tragic, yet noble magician--pushed down by life and forced into abject servitude. At least, that's what he'd have you believe.

The truth is, we're going to have a pleasant stroll through a day in the life of an egotistical dolt whose sense of self-worth is so inflated that he can't see past it and into the truth that his life, despite his being a complete failure and disappointment in every regard, is actually very good.

And, in the end, we might just discover if this is a story about a discontented illusionist, or the illusion of discontent.
