Me, A Red Shirt In Equestria?!
I pushed open the doors to the Comicon convention center, where the Comicon convention was being held. I knew I wouldn't leave without at least some merchandise, so I went straight to the ATM machine and put my PIN number in. I also made sure that my costume was on tight. I was a Red Shirt (from star trek) for my costume.
I realized that my federation pin had been lost on the way over here, and I was fairly certain it wasn't in my car. This sucked, because now instead of being a Red Shirt (from star trek) I was now a dude with a stupid haircut and a red shirt.
"Psst!" I turned around to see a merchant in a trench coat. "Hey kid, noticed your costume was missing a lil something. I have a federation pin, right here!" He waved around a federation pin that looked like it'd be a perfect replacement for my federation pin! In fact, it looked exactly the same.
Which meant it'd be perfect of course. "Here, you can buy it in here." He beckoned me to the dark alleyway that was inside Comicon, somehow.
I remembered my parents saying something about stranger danger, but my costume was more important than whatever they were warning you against. "Okay, if you say so!"
He chuckled.
"Hey, what are you laughing at?" I asked him politely.
The merchant looked at me. "Um, something inconspicuous. Anyway, it'll be 99 cents and also 2 dollars instead of the usual 8 dollars because you look like you really need it."
"That sounds like a good deal, I think." I gave him the money, and then a portal opened, making something like a giraffe noise as it tore a hole in time and space! Who could have foreseen this outcome?!
"Nice dude. I almost feel bad, it's like shooting a kitten in a barrel."
The merchant then bought a soda with his 3 dollars.
